SC in Awating Approval satus but No workflow item found

Hi Experts.
We are using SRM 5.0 and have found this strange problem where a SC is awaiting approval status but there is no workflow item generated when we check for the sc in bbp_pd.
We tried to check in swi1 for workflow item id for that particular but are not able to see this SC.
What could be the reason where the workflow is not started since in our case once the sc is created workflow gets started automtically in this case that has not happend.
we ran the clean_req_req_up job and bbp_get_status_2 for this sc but no help
Any help in this regards will be highly appreciated
Regards
Vidya

Hi Ricardo,
Thanks for your response As suggested we did check for the SC in SWI6 but we get a messge " there are No workflows that have already worked with this object type"
Since our SC have approvals in line will restart of workflow trigger the approval or will t get auto=approved, since in a few cases when we retriggered the workflow teh approvals were never called and the SC were auto-approved.
There are more than 10sc which have stuck in thsi kind of situtation
we also had a SP patch upgradtion, cld this have been caused  because of SP upgradation?

  • SC in Awaiting Approval but no work item found for SC

    Hi
We are in SRM 5.5 Extended Classic Scenario will item-based approval workflow for SC.
A requestor has created a SC which requires several steps of approval.
The shopping cart has status 'awaiting approval' but when we check via BBP_PD system gives 'No workflow item found .
Why this occurs is already strange we have lots of SC every day and workflow item is created properly.
But 2nd question is if there is a solution available to retrigger / restart the workflow for this SC ?
    Any help would be appreciated

    Hi,
did you check in SWI6 or SWIA?

    Hi Masa,
i have checked the way you have sugggested.
    1) before approval the status is STARTED and status text as IN Process and node id status is READY
    2) After approval the status is STARTED and status text is IN PROCESS and node id status is COMPLETED
workitem id remains same. approver is not changing anything he is just clicking on approve button.i am not able to see any information in RZ20. i tried to update the cart status through program BBP_ALERT_SB_NOTTRANSFERED but i found no changes in RZ20

  • Purchase order in 'awaiting approval' status but no approval required

    Hi
I am using SRM 4.0 SP 13. There is a purchase order which shows that no approval is required in the approval tab, but the overall status is 'awaiting approval'. Please can you advise if this is a Support pack issue? I have checked the workflow WS14000075 which is active.
    Regards
    Rajeev

    Hi
You would need to check if the workflow has been able to release the PO properly. Only after successful release completion by workflow, PO status gets changed to ordered from awaiting approval. Check the workflow log to see if there are any errors. Use txn-SWI1 or SWI6 to go into workflow log. Also reactive your workflow WS14000075 using txn swdd and try creating new PO.

  • Mitigation assignment approval in Access Request Workflow

    Hi Guys,
I am currently implementing GRC for one of the clients. I have a question with respect to Mitigation assignment approval in Access Request Workflow.
    Below is the Scenario,
    1) User Submits the request
    2) Manager Approves
    3) Role Owner runs the SOD & finds SOD violations. Role Owner assigns the mitigation controls & approves the request
    Clarification:
Once the role owner approves , depending on the mitigation controls assigned , can this request be routed to the mitigation control owner for approval in next stage? is this configurable with out custom BRF+ rules ? I know there is a workflow separately  (SAP_GRAC_CONTROL_ASGN) for approval of assignment which I suppose is out side of the Access request workflow.
    Please suggest.

    Pavan,
more or less - as the control assignment workflow is independent the access request doens't wait. So if the role owner set a mitigation the control workflow starts. If you allow the role owner to approve the access request with risks, means if the risk isn't mitigated, then the role owner can proceed.
To have your scenario working you must set the following in Access Request workflow: Role Owners are not allowed to approve as long as there are risks. All risks must either be remediated or mitigated before approval. That means if the role owner sets a mitigation the assignment workflow starts. As soon as the mitigation is valid (final approval) the access request can be approved.
Technically both workflows are independent and don't have a relation to each other. But with some settings you can combine them.
    Does this answer your question?
    Regards,
    Alessandro

  • SWO1 approval in background does not clear manager workflow item

    Hi,
I am trying to approve the shopping cart from a managers UWL in background through SWO1.
But when I do the shopping cart is getting approved whereas the approval item is still pending with the manager of the shopping cart.
How to  delete the workitem from the manager inbox once I push the shopping cart for approved status in SWO1 ?
    Regards
    harish

    Hi,
Awaiting approval is document status. You can find workflow status and workflow item number in BBP_PD.
Please check workflow item detail in SWI1 transaction.
I think debug the setReleased method is good way for finding the root cause. It might change only document status and does not change workitem side.
If the SWO1 method does not fit your requirement, please check the class /SAPSRM/CL_OFFLINEAPP_INBOUND.
    (b) Check whether workitem is still in status 'READY'
    (d) Check procurement document
    (e) Lock procurement document
    (f) Append approval note as a long text of type NOTM to the
        procurement document => Update document
    (g) Execute the workitem
    (h) Unlock the document
Export the processing results and errors out of the method
    Regards,
    Masa

  • Add reviewer/add approver for n-level workflow not working...

Hi, We are using SRM 3.0/EBP 4.0 system and are using the "N-level approval of shopping cart" workflow. We recently upgraded to support pack 11. Before the upgrade we were able to add approvers and reviewers. However after implementing the support pack , when we are trying to add a approver or a reviewer , we are getting the error " NO POSSIBLE PROCESSOR FOUND FOR APPROVAL TASK. INFORM SYSTEM ADMIN"
Please help me figure this out .
    Sincerely,
    Isaac

    Hello,
Check this post : Re: SRM 5.0 Approval WF fragment has no user assignment

  • User completes approval task but system is not marking it completed

My SP designer workflow has intermittent issues completing the task after the users does their part.  We've taken one of the web servers out due to the thought that the sessions were getting split up (IIS logs showed this happening) between the
two servers, but the issue resurfaced today.  This user completed one task no problem, but when he completed the next task shortly after the system didn't finish up the second task so it 'stalls' (that's what I call it).  The stalled task
doesn't get completed so the workflow doesn't move on.  I'm out of ideas.
I've searched but can't find any reference to this behavior with approval tasks.  It is pretty straightforward OOTB approval processing but has intermittent issues.
    Anyone??
    thanks - Carlene

    Hi Victoria,
Thank you for your reply.  Here are the responses to your questions:
No, there are no errors in the workflow when the task is not completed.  I've turned on versioning in the task list and versioning shows the user modifying the task but the 3rd step of the system marking the task complete isn't occurring.
No, the issue occurs intermittently which has made it almost impossible to figure out the cause.
Creating a new approval workflow with the exact steps is really labor intensive unless we copy and modify it.  This has not been done.
We've been looking at the ULS logs and the Workflow trace logging and what we recently discovered is an Access Denied error which has been narrowed down to a possible expired User-token and look-up to another domain by the initiator's ID.  All of our
users are in domains other than the domain the SharePoint servers are in but there are two way trusts established.  We have since moved the approval processing step into an Impersonation step in the workflow which runs under the system account.
We are now watching and waiting to see if this will help.
Another thing to note is all our users are granted access to SharePoint through AD groups which are then added to SharePoint groups.
We are working with Microsoft on this and hopefully we can get it resolved. When we do I will post the outcome, in the meantime I welcome any other suggestions.
    Thanks - Carlene

  • Endless Loop in Approval of FI Invoice Workflow

    Hi Everyone,
I was having a problem with the workflow template WS90400009 - Approval of FI Invoice Workflow.
When the Proof of Performance approver is trying to approve/reject an invoice, the workflow is getting into an endless loop in the class method CL_SWF_RUN_WFM->CHECK_CB_IN_DEADL_BRANCH.
This did not occur previously in any of the FI approval workflows and neither is it affecting any other workflow in the system. How could this suddenly happen?
Eventually, the system times out and the workflow log shows "In Process"...but does not process further!
Thanks in advance for the help!

    Hi Everyone,
    Thanks for the replies.
We just corrected the issue with the OSS Note 935994 -
    Symptom :
In some cases, a timeout that is triggered by an endless loop in the CL_SWF_RUN_WFM->CHECK_CB_IN_DEADL_BRANCH method occurs after you execute a work item.
The timeout only occurs for workflow definitions with nested loops.
This issue begun after some modifications were done in a workflow with modelled deadline.
All workflows were going into a "hang" state.
    Thankfully, issue is now resolved.

  • Can deploy process but not workflow (10.1.3.10 beta)

I tried to deploy several of the demo BPEL processes, but each time the process is deployed successfully, but the workflow is not. Fro example OrderApproval.
I tried setting properties in the build.properties file, but apparently to no avail. Also changing them via the project ant properties did not help.
It looks like the payload JSP did not get deployed -- most of the process works, including the workflow bit, as long as one does not try to look into the worklist entry contents (which gives the 404 Not Found error, same as in the 10.1.2 version when the JSP page is not in the proper directory of hw/worklistexpress).
I noticed some strange behavior in the build properties as stored in the project file (OrderApproval.jpr). There are a lot of equivalent ("fromjdev") entries in the oracle.jdeveloper.ant.AntRunConfiguration hash table. Also, each time after I run a deploy, the value for oc4jinstancename is removed and a corresponding <null/> entry shows up in the file. I tried cleaning up redundant fromjdev entries, but it did not help.
Also hard coding the oc4jinstancename attribute to soademo did not help.
Any suggestions on how to fix the build? See below for a log; I added printing of the deploy attributes to the build.xml file.

When I change the rmi ports to 23793 via the project properties and save, they get updated correctly in the .jpr file. However, the deploy still fails, because somehow JDeveloper resets the values back to 23791 (just as it routinely wipes out the oc4jinstancename) and writes them to the .jpr file.
How can I make the new value 'stick'?
I tried changing the port of the LocalBPELApplicationServer from 23791 to 23793 but got:
Error while getting remote MBeanServer for url: ormi://localhost:23793/default:

And even then, the deploy process still forces the port to 23791.
I restarted the server and JDeveloper, but the problem persists.

  • Received approval notice but podcast not showing up in iTunes

    Greetings,
My podcast was approved today but hasn't shown up in the store via the link given.  When clicked it gives a "The item you've requested is not currently available" message. For reference, here's the link I was given as well as my feed:
    https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/seek-and-destroy/id792528292
    http://seekanddestroy.libsyn.com/rss
Does it usually take a while for the podcast to show up in the store?  The email said a few hours, but its now going on 6 hours since I received the email and the link still isn't working.
    Thanks!
    Brett

As an update, the podcast is now searchable and the page shows the three current episodes.  The original link is the only thing that is not currently working, and still gives the "not available" message.

Hi, i am using SAP by Design in india. I am trying to get GL entry report in which i require a field "Approved by" but unable to find - please suggest.

    Hi hanmant,
You could find GL Line item report under General ledger WOC => Reports => List=> G/L Line Item Report, but this report does not have filter parameter "Approved by".

  • GL Approval Action History from Workflow tables

    Hi All,
I have prepared the query to retrieve the Journal Approval Action History from Workflow tables. Below is the Query. This is the Form Personalization. In the Journal Screen i have attached the Menu Action History and placed this query for form personalization.
Now the problem is in GL_JE_BATCHES i have 80 thousand records. In the query which i have written i am getting only 1000 records. How can i achieve all the records.
SELECT DISTINCT gjb.NAME batch, default_period_name period,
                       wn.recipient_role approver,
                       DECODE (gjb.approval_status_code,
                               'A', 'Approved',
                               'I', 'In Process',
                               'J', 'Rejected',
                               'R', 'Required',
                               'V', 'Validation Failed',
                               'Z', 'N/A'
                              ) status,
                       wn.begin_date approval_start_date,
                       wn.end_date approval_end_date,
                       wn.due_date approval_due_date
                  FROM wf_notifications wn, wf_items wi, gl_je_batches gjb
                 WHERE wn.CONTEXT LIKE
                             'GLBATCH%'
                          || (SELECT item_key
                                FROM wf_items a
                               WHERE a.user_key = wi.user_key
                                 AND a.item_type = 'GLBATCH'
                                 AND ROWNUM = 1)
                          || '%'
                   AND wi.item_type = wn.MESSAGE_TYPE
                   AND wi.user_key = gjb.NAME;
Can any one please suggest me how to proceed on this issue ASAP?
    Regards,
    Anjan.

    Hi Anjan,
You can try to set the FND: View Object Max Fetch Size to a value that would allow more data to be returned. However, be aware that this can cause performance issues.

  • S/C approved..but no backend document exist

    Hello SRM Gurus,
I have witness a strange problem for one of my shopping cart..S/C is completely approved but no backend document is created w.r.t it...there is no entry in table BBP_PDBEI for field BE_OBJECT_TYPE & BE_OBJECT_ID (fields are empty in BBP_PD)
Also in table CRM_JEST(Status table)entry is missing for following status which appears once the document is posted.
               Status       Description               Inactive
    0000000001 I1111     Item in Transfer Process         X
    0000000001 I1113     Follow-on Document Created
I have tried to push this S/C manually by FM " BBP_REQREQ_TRANSFER & BBP_REQREQ_RESUBMIT" But doesn't produce any desirable result.
Not finding any way to dig into the problem?? please help if u have any solution..
Note: Full point will rewarded for a fruitful solution..

    Hi,
Generally, if the SC is approved and but no document gets created in backend, a good place to look for problems
will be the application monitors (assuming you have the authorization for this transaction). If you have this authorization, then, once you go to bbpstart, then on the left side of your screen you have the application monitors - which shows various errors occuring at various levels.
Mostly, one of the areas like Backend Application errors, Not transferred to backend etc, throws more light on what the nature of the error is. In most cases, these point to some configuration errors or configurations that need to be checked.
Please let me know if you have checked the application monitors.
    Best Regards,
    Lakshmy Shankar
