SC info folder, what is it?

Unable to view rented movies, so an iTunes representative told me the problem might be solved by deleting the SC info folder. It took a while to find it but I did. And now I'm a little bit leery, I don't know what the significance of that folder is, before I go ahead and delete it. Does anybody know if it would cause any problems to the iTunes library. Thanks in events to whoever replies.

It holds the authorization for the entire PC. Your itunes has a limit of 5 PCs authorized at one time.
And it got seriously messed with in iTunes v7 and v8, people not being able to play files they purchased.
You can't just log into a different Windows account and authorize a new library. That is the whole authorization foe the entire PC.
Go look at a thread named "Billing Loop", but if you're at v8 and can't play a new free downlaod of the week, you need to contact Apple.

If you're only getting the authorisation alert on one track on the album, that suggests the track is damaged.

Back up all data.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
Step 1
If you have more than one user, and the one in question is not an administrator, then go to Step 2.
Triple-click anywhere in the following line on this page to select it:

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.

☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window by pressing command-V. I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, you may have to press the return key after pasting.
You'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command may take a few minutes to run, or perhaps longer if you have literally millions of files in your home folder. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign ($) to appear, then quit Terminal.
Step 2 (optional)
Take this step only if you have trouble with Step 1, if it frightens you, or if it doesn't solve the problem.
Start up in Recovery mode. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open.
In the Terminal window, type this:
res
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password dialog will open. You’re not going to reset a password.
In the dialog, select the startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if it's not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if it's not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
Select

What if the SC Info folder does not permanently delete even if I empty my trashcan? I have tried all of these steps and I'm still having the same problem.

TS1389 Is using the SC info folder method also used for Windows 8?

I cannot play purchased songs in itunes. Does the SC info folder method work for Windows 8?

It's almost the same, just a few differences due to how win 8 navigates
Open Computer from the Start menu.
From the Organize menu, choose Folder and Search Options. Click on the file explorer icon. (this is the little folder icon, with what looks like a lazy C on it., or if you don't have that on your shortcut bar, you can go to the start menu and click on the icon for your computer)
Click the View tab.
In the "Advanced settings" pane under "Hidden files and folders," make sure that the "Show hidden files and folders" option is selected. You’ll see a tick box to view hidden files and folders. Make sure that is checked.
Click OK.
Navigate to the following location by either typing it into the address bar, copying and pasting it into the address bar, or clicking through the folder hierarchy listed:
C:\ProgramData\Apple Computer\iTunes
Right-click the SC Info folder shown and on the shortcut menu, choose Delete.
Restart the computer.
I just cut and pasted the C: program data link into my file explorer and it took me there. Or you could click through, however works best for you.

You need to add a valid payment method to the account. An iTunes gift card can be added.

I tried this help page, but i cant din the SC Info folder when i seach after it. and it only 1 of the 2 songs i just pushed from Itunes that keep asking me to authorize my computer, every time after i do it it just skip to the next song and i can start over again.

Your a bit on the wrong track. Your song is corrupted is the problem. Delete your corrupted song, then redownload it here:

I'm having the same exact problem on my Mac as well. Its a bug and sadly Apple hasn't yet released a fix to it, but I'm also having an issue where iTunes says "Determining Gapless Playback Information". It's so annoying and I'm really hoping that Apple would read this and fix these problems.

OK.
Folders can be added to the header of a Finder window simply by dragging them there; they are a special kind of alias, pointing to the originsl.
If the original is removed, the alias is then orphaned, The question mark indicates the OS can't find the original.
To remove it, hold down the Command key and drag it out of the window's header.

I am trying to send a quote from our application to get saved in SAP using .Net Connector. I get the following error messages

W V1 555 The sales document is not yet complete: Edit data
I am looking for any kind of incompletion log that will give more info about what is missing etc.,
Where can I find such a log. Your feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
Just check this path.
Go to sales order->Edit->Incompletion log.
This tells your docuement status. If at all your document is incomplete,you can just see what all you are missing.

I have Windows 8 and have just updated iTunes to the latest version. Now I get error -42110 when opening iTunes and I can see from troubleshooting that I have to remove the SC info folder (whatever that is??) but there are no directions on how to do this in Windows 8. Can anyone help me?

Unfortunately Viber does not officially support Mac OS 10.6.8 - Viber is compatible with Mac versions 10.7 and above.

If it is your wish, upgrading your Mac OS version should solve the problem and allow you to install and enjoy Viber.

From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.
If you wish, you may be able to salvage the errant extension by uninstalling and reinstalling it. Its settings will revert to their defaults. If the extension still causes a problem, remove it permanently or refer to its developer for support.
Uninstall the McAfee product by following the instructions on whichever of the pages linked below is applicable:

I have experienced a similar error with the iPhone 4S. The new version of iTunes will not let me restore the phone, it must be updated and nothing appears to be happening. Suffice it to say I am not amused. Apple needs to work this out - I had trouble updating to 8.0.2 as well.
