Scale up/down among tiers

If I start with the Basic Tier B1, can I later scale to B2 and then to B3?
If at some time I see that B3 is not enough, can I scale to Stantard Tier S1 and from here to S2 and later to S3?
I understand that one advantage of cloud services is to be able to scale up and/or down and I know that Azure supports it but I am not sure if it is possible to go from B1 to B2 to B3 to S1 to S2 to S3 or any other combination among tiers.
Respectfully,
Jorge Maldonado
Best regards, JORGE MALDONADO

Yes, you can freely move up/down from any Basic/Standard plan to any other.

  • My vector graphic looks pixelated when I scale it down

    I'm using CS5 on Mac OSX 10.7.4 and the graphic looks pretty good at 100%, and prints just fine.  The design shop is trying to put it on a coffee cup though, and when they scale it down, it looks horrible.  Pixelated everywhere.  Am I doing something wrong?
    -antialiasing is on
    -resolution is 300 DPI
    -align to pixel grid is not checked.
    Here is a screen shot at 100%
    Here is a screen shot after I scale the object 70%... looks pretty bad.
    I am new to Illustrator and vector graphics so I am sure this is some  setting I don't understand.  Thanks for any help you can give!

    check my post #20 in this thread http://forums.adobe.com/message/4455955#4455955  I tried to explain what is causing this.  Nothing to worry about it won't affect the printed result.
    However this statement of yours could be a cause of concern if you are talking about the printed image.

  • How to get the C309a to read an actual sized map on USGS rather than scale it down to one page size

    Once upon a time, long, long, ago, when DOS was king, a printer would print out multiple sheets of a screenshot, even though the screen was larger than the 8 1/2 x 10-14 paper size. So, what you got was, say, 8 sheets of paper, which you had to tape together to get the entire picture of the screen.
    I have been trying to figure out a way to print the MVUM maps from the USGS website, so we can go off-roading legally and responsibly.  To pull up one of these maps, you must click on an Acrobat formatted engine. Although you can resize the map itself to normal size, when it comes time to print, regardless of the print & printer settings, it will either print the enitre map on a single sheet of paper, or it will only print one thirtysecond of the entire map, with no option to continue printing.
    My question...is there a way to disable or enable the print mode to print the map its actual size, and not just one page of it?

    What operating system?  In Windows 7 x64 I opened this page in IE9, right clicked on the map and selected print, then selected "Tile large pages".  When I started printing it began spitting out the 24 pages properly tiled.  I only let it print the first 4 pages, but it seems to be doing the "right" thing.

  • My pics are to LARGE...How to scale them down?

    I am not sure what the setting is on, on my digital camera but when I import those photos into iPhoto, there are huge! I am talking 2580 x 1720!!! What is the NORMAL size of photos to be used for the web or imported into Final Cut Pro? I know I can use the constrain or select Custom but I have no clue as to what size would be a normal size to put in there. Would it be something like 460 x 368 or something like that? I remember seeing a size like that in Photoshop once.

    The answer is, depends on what you want it for.
    If it's for the Web, then it's viewed an computer screens, and most computers cannot display more than 72 dpi, so having a photo of 300 dpi (recommended for printing) is simply a waste.
    For FCP, I suggest you ask what's best on the FCP forum, as they're likely to be more knowledgeable on the subject.
    In any event, you can resize your photos on export from iPhoto using the File -> Export command.

  • How do I scale down a swf file with flash without having to manipulate original png images.

    I have a swf that is 200x750 and I need to scale it down to 160x600. Is there a way of doing this without rescaling all of my png files? I tried using publish settings, but there was no result. It remained pixelated. I tried scaling it down in flash and it was worse. Is there any quick converter I can use?

    Here's a web article that may be useful: http://www.sitepoint.com/steps-faster-flash/
    If you are strictly concerned about bitmap images like photos, then Photoshop's Save for Web tool is very useful. You can test your images in various file formats and at various color depths to get the smallest possible file with the best possible quality. If you are working with vector graphics, then use simple shapes and flat color.
    If you show us an example of the art that you're working with, someone might be able to give you more specific and useful information.

  • Scale up or down

    Is there a way to scale up/down a pen shape path that has been pasted to a null's position? I mean i made a pen shape of an object.. then I paste it to a null's position, and then I would like to be able to scale that position path. I could find no way to do that. It is blocked to the original penshape path dimension. It looks like I have to be careful and make in the first instance the penshape the dimension that would then be transfered to the null's position.  But there are objects that have so much detail in it that you have to scale it up a lot when drawing the shape path, but then you need the smaller shape to paste to another layer's position. Can anyone help? thanks a lot!
    Victor

    You can add another null and scale that null. You will then need to work out an expression that eliminates the scale change from anything parented to the first null.
    Let me make that clearer. Name your first null positionNull, name your second null scaleNull, make the parent of the positionNull the scaleNull, then parent any other layers you want to follow the positionNull to the position null. To each of those layers you will need to add an expression that divides the layers original scale by the change in scale of the scale null so the layer does not change size.
    This expression should do the trick:
    temp = thisComp.layer("scale null").transform.scale[0];
    [10000/temp, 10000/temp]

  • Unable to scale down mask

    hi.
    i created a mask in my footage by using pencil tool
    now i want to scale it down (NOT to shrink/expand masked area)
    tried this: selected footage layer and went to Transform - Scale, and even if i scale down to -500%, nothing happens. Then went to Mask - Mask Expansion, but this is not the feature i need. I need to scale down the object which i've masked out
    also tried to add adjustment layer and linked my mask layer to it and then tried to scale down Adjustment layer - no effect, simply nothing happens
    using AE6 trial version on win7

    tried to follow the steps provided there: "To transform any number of vertices, select the vertices that you want to transform and choose Layer > Mask And Shape Path > Free Transform Points."
    Free Transform Points is greyed out when i try to select it. Made sure that footage layer is selected before i went to Layer > Mask And Shape Path >
    cant understand what is going on here. have 3 layers in the following order: Adjustment layer, Shape layer and and the footage layer where some object is masked out. Mode is set to Normal on all  three.
    i can change the form of the mask, increase/decrease feathering, etc, but i need to scale down the object which is within mask's boundaries. Maybe its not technicaly possible or smth?

  • How do I change the scale value ratios in Lion?

    If I use a larger monitor and want to scale down all the windows by 50%, how would I change this setting in Lion? I have plenty of desktop space with a larger monitor, but this does not really seem to help at all because all the windows are still taking up as much of the screen. When I manually drag the window smaller, the letters are still larger and require scrolling to read. When I press Command (- ), the text gets jumbled together and is not viewed as the screen should be. I would like to know how to just adjust the settings to scale everything down by 50%. I have tried typing some stuff into the terminal which I found via Google, but they do not seem to work on Lion. I would like to just have more desktop space and keep everything scaled down like on the larger iMacs. Thanks in advance for the help.

    Found it!
    Make sure you have multiple desktops already running.
    Go to System Preferences->Keyboard
    Choose Keyboard Shortcuts
    On the left select Mission Control.  On the right, I have "Switch to Desktop 1, Switch to Desktop 2, etc"
    On my iMac they were checked, and working.
    On my MacBook they were unchecked.  Checked the boxes, now it works.

  • How do I scale strokes in Flash CC?

    I know that in the "Properties" window there is a "Scale" drop-down, but it doesn't work. When I scale in free transform, the stroke doesn't scale unless its in a movieclip.

    Yes, if you are using any transform, the scale of the contained parts of an object will not change. If you want the object to appear to be enlarging, then you will need to make it a symbol. When you transform a symbol, you are changing the appearance of the object on the stage. You are not transforming the original object. That remains the same in the Library.
    If you want to transform an object drawn on the stage and have some or all of the parts also get larger, you can select each one and then use the stroke size option in the Properties window.
    This is no different in Flash CC than it was in any other version of Flash.

  • HELP PLEASE - loading external swf scale problem

    I have a Flex 3 Actionscript Project. Basically all it does it take some flash vars, set the sound volume,  and load an external swf using a loader and add the loader as a child. The problem is I want the loaded external swf to be scaled to fill the entire stage, even if it distorts it, and that doesn't seem to be happening.
    I really need to resolve this. ANY HELP APPRECIATED.
    Marcus

    Thanks for the reply!
    Here's basically what my code looks like (note: I cut some stuff out that wasn't relevant for the sake of clarity).
    private var swfLoader:Loader = null;
    public function MySwfContainer()
        stage.scaleMode = StageScaleMode.EXACT_FIT;
        stage.align = StageAlign.TOP_LEFT;
        var request:URLRequest = new URLRequest(swfUrl);
        swfLoader = new Loader();
        swfLoader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE,SWFLoader_Complete);
        swfLoader.load(request);
    private function SWFLoader_Complete(event:Event):void
        addChild(swfLoader);
    What I am observing is that if a swf larger than the stage area is loaded it clips it rather than scale it down and make it fit.

  • Wireless Keyboard Page Up and Page Down Help

    The wireless keyboard for my iMac omits many common keys found on full size keyboards.
    One application I am running (Battlefield 2142) requires the use of "page up" and "page down" among others.
    By random effort, in happens that "Control" + "up arrow" worked for "page up".
    Does anyone know where I can find a resource showing these built-in key board sequences.
    In System Preferences there are the keyboard short cuts that can be configured, but many are missing. The control "up arrow" was not listed here for "Page Up:, nor are others like "Home", "End".
    My assumption is that these are not officially considered keyboard short cuts.
    Any help, appreciated.

    Hello
    a - this forum is not dedicated to hardware but to the Numbers application.
    b - I don't own such a keyboard but, I'm quite sure that the asked info is available on your machine.
    Apple menu > System Preferences
    open the prefPane named Keyboard and Mouse
    click on the tab named "Keyboard Shortcuts"
    You will get a list of many shortcuts descriptions.
    I assumes that the wanted ones are available in this list.
    Are you sure that the response is not available in the manual delivered with the keyboard?

  • Y scale flip in waveform graph when using property node.

    I'm having problem with property node. I'm trying to build a stackable scope with Waveform Graph And dynamically change the number of plots. It is working. But The Y scale is flipping. The minimum goes on the upper part and the minimum scale goes down. when I change it appearance it's not very fast. It take about 1 or 2 second on my computer.
    The way it is build actually is:
    Cluster_1 is containing 8 clusters. And each of the 8 clusters are containing a Waveform Graph. By reference I change the property of each Waveform to make visible or not each of the Waveforms.
    First I would like to solve the scale problem and second accelerate the redrawing of my scope.
    Maybe there is an other way t
    o do what I need.
    Thanks.

    Wow, you have a neat program! The problem with your y axis flipping is because the last four charts in the cluster were programmed with a flipped axis. I relabeled the charts and it worked correctly.
    From what I could tell with your code, you do not need the sequence structures. The one inside of the even actually runs the same code twice. Remove this duplication and you should see improvement. Also clusters are slow, so you should not expect it to blink back with additional coding. Use defer panel updates to get that behavior. I incorporated these changes and attached the program.

  • What does scale mean in PARALLEL_PROJECTION with SCALE_EXPLICIT policy?

    Does anyone know how the parallel projection view is scaled?
    I'm using:
    view.setScreenScalePolicy(View.SCALE_EXPLICIT); / /specifies that the scale is taken directly from the user-provided screenScale attribute
    First of all, I tried two ways of changing the scale:
    1. Scaling in the view
    view.setScreenScale(scale); // Sets the screen scale value for this view. This is used when the screen scale policy is SCALE_EXPLICIT. The default value is 1.0 (i.e., unscaled).
    2. Scaling in the transform matrix
    Transform3d t=new Transform3d();
    t.lookAt(new Point3d(eye),new Point3d(center),new Vector3d(up));
    t.setScale(scale);
    objTrans.setTransform(t); // Sets the scale component of the current transform; any existing scale is first factored out of the existing transform before the new scale is applied.
    Note: t.getScale() returns 1.0 by default, until a scale is applied.
    Both seem to have the same result, and I'm not sure which is better.
    Now what's weird is to figure out what the "default" scale is?
    I made a cube model, centered on the origin, resized it until it fix well on the screen without any scale applied. I found a 0.2 length cube accomplished this. Then I measured the pixel size of the window and cube and I found this relation:
    Cube_size (in pixels) = window width (in pixels) *0.55; // Measured factor varied only slightly from 0.5414 to 0.5544 depending on window size and aspect ratio.
    I found the window height had no effect on the pixel size of the cube.
    My 0.2 length cube filled 55% of the width, so a 0.36 length cube fills the full window width. I verified this.
    This means if I want to assign the scale by the number of physical units wide I want visible, I need to include a 0.36 correction factor to the scale:
    view.setScreenScale(0.36/width);
    This works - my 0.2 length cube fills the full width when width=0.2. I verified this works for other sized models too.
    Although this works, I really don't like mysteries, and I'm becoming convinced other problems (properly setting the FrontClipDistance and BackClipDistance for a given model and view) are related.
    I really HATE that these transforms don't seem to be written out anywhere, in any documentation I can find.
    Has anyone else worked with the SCALE_EXPLICIT policy in PARALLEL_PROJECTION view?
    Any help is appreciated!
    Tom Ruen

    I'm trying to scale a 3d representation of the human body so that it always remains the same distance from a virtual camera regardless of resolution. I need it to be the same virtual distance from the virtual camera as a subject would be from a real 35mm camera.
    I tried the following code:
    GraphicsConfiguration config = SimpleUniverse.getPreferredConfiguration();
              Canvas3D canvas = new Canvas3D(config);
              SimpleUniverse universe = new SimpleUniverse(canvas);
              canvas.getView().setScreenScalePolicy(View.SCALE_SCREEN_SIZE);
              System.out.println(canvas.getScreen3D().getPhysicalScreenWidth());
              System.out.println(canvas.getScreen3D().getPhysicalScreenHeight());
              canvas.getScreen3D().setPhysicalScreenWidth(0.005);
              canvas.getScreen3D().setPhysicalScreenHeight(0.005*0.8);And it does seem to "zoom out" ever so slightly (using 0.005). However, it appears that the boundingsphere is such that the objects begin to be not drawn as one "shrinks the scene", thus effectively zooming out. Scaling the scene up is fine, but i need to scale it down - ie shrink it.
    The reason I am attempting to use this method rather than applying a transform on the viewingPlatform is because I purposefully did not want to have to adjust the bounding sphere.
    Can you give me any help on why scaling up works really well with most values >actual screen size, but scaling down is very iffy, and only shrinks the scene with values MUCH less than the actual screen value. Even then, i start to get holes where polygons arent drawn anymore.
    Thanks

  • Enhance image/logo for larger scale use

    I have been given an image of a company logo to use for a variety of mediums through advertising. The logo they have given me is very small, I want to either enlarge it or create a higher resolution version of the image which I can then scale up/down according to my use for. Not sure which is the best tool to use for this, perhaps Photoshop may be better, which I have tried using to achieve this (my skills in Illustrator are very limited). The problem with the original image, is the logo (mainly text-based), the edges aren't smooth and when I increase the size of the logo, it becomes even more pixelated/rough round the edges and curves. Can anyone point out some suggestions for me please in how to achieve this? I would be very grateful for any help, thanks.

    raviipatel,
    You should get/find the right fonts and use the Type Tool, then use other means to get the effects/positioning.
    If you cannot get a vector version and see for yourself or get the font information from the company, you may try

  • HELP!! Illustrator distorts my Logo when scaling down

    How could this happen? I tried to scale a logo down to fit a stamp and Illustrator destroys it by distorting the paths.
    This is the original logo
    And this is what Illustrator does with it when i scale it down. (Image is scaled to same size to better illustrate the distortion)

    in the drop down menu for the transform palette is an option for aligning new objects to pixel grid. might want to check that too for future reference. also, there is the same checkbox when you create a new document. just to be aware.
