Scam or real?

today I downloaded and tried to install Firefox but it asked for an activation code which I could get my sending a text message with the word "COD" to 35445 which I did. No code came back. Then it said I could continue if I dialled a 905 number. I did not do that. Is this a real requirement for Firefox? Thank you

Hi Kevin - from what you describe you obviously have some malware on your system which tries to rid you of some portions of your money with a fraud scheme. Firefox is free software, no activiation needed.
Check your mobile phone bill and have the amount taken out which got charged when you sent your note to that number (you may even have ended up in a susbcription). Talk to your mobile provider to block that number and any charges for reasons of fraud. Report that number to your local regulation office to have if disabled.

When you contact the guy he sends you this:

Of course at this point I knew it was a scam. I called him back after another exchange of emails. I told him that I called Fed Ex and that no package had been shipped. He said that they wouldn't tell me anything until I send him more money. Of course that wasn't true.
Don't be another victim! I feel like a dummy and now I'm out over 600 dollars with shipping and Western Union charges.

$20 off per month email - scam or real??

I received an email stating that I could save $20 a month on my More Everything plan. I'm supposed to call 855-236-6176. Pretty sure it's a scam, but want to be sure. Anyone else get this? I've gotten texts before too about doubling data for no extra cost.

If Verizon wants to give you a deal or offers. They always use their customer care number or request you dial 611. When in doubt dial 611 from your handset.

Email of unauthorised access to i cloud, is this real as i dont have i cloud

I have anemail off apple telling me that someone has used an unauthorized device to access my I cloud. But I have not signed up for ios8.
Is this genuine or a dodgy email?

It's most probably a scam. Real emails from Apple are addressed to you by name. Probably there is a link asking you to verify your ID - don't click it: hover the cursor over it to show the URL and you will likely find it's a non-Apple URL.

I ordered an iPod nano (7th generation) from Apple online Store 4 days ago ( and I received quickly an email from [email protected] saying that I've to call Apple back because they want to check some information and discuss about my order otherwise my order will be canceled.
They give me this numero which I can call them back for free : 0805542000, however by checking on the internet, I notice that this numero is not free like it is said in this mail but premium rate and seems to not correspond to a real numero from Apple.
So it looks like very strange to me … and now my order is still under review whereas I was supposed to receive my iPod 2 days ago.
I would like to know if someone else has already received this kind of Email ?
Is this Email a scam or real ? (and the numero too?)’

If the email correctly addressed you with name (in Full ) address etc etc and also correctly specified you order as you placed ,then I would say it is genuine or a remarkable coincidence ( unlikely)
No idea about the telephone # if you think it is premium ...........I have no idea
There should be link telephone numbers on the Apple on-line store pages for contact

If you changed your Apple ID, you will not be able to update any of the content that you used in the past. The worse case scenario here would have been to change the password. Really all you needed to do was go on the Apple site and change the password, unless you provided them with information. This will make it difficult for you to deal with turning off Find My iPhone and other Apple ID related steps. All you really needed to do was delete the email.

Try to log in to your account from your computer. If it's locked, call customer service (800-922-0204). If you can log in and all looks normal, forward the texts to SPAM (7726).

It is a scam. Forward a copy of the email to both your internet service provider and your email service provider and explain that it is likely a phishing scam. DO not visit the site of the survey or any other link in the email. Delete the email.

Should I be woried? Is this real? Or is it one of those scams? When you click on the cancellation form it takes you to login your account then it takes you to a page to verify Credit Card info right then and there I was skeptical.
