Scam to chat message

There are more than 10 messages everyday from foto hahaha http://drhoelldmd.com/images/image.php?9Zh25d12
and it shows that it from one of my friend.
So I deleted my friend from contact list.
She actually did't send those things.
I don't know how to block these things. It is annoying.
Please help to fix it.
I feel like want to stop using Skype because of this.

More than likely you can get the phone back by doing a reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot.

How to make use of notify-send to get alerted when a chat-message arrives?

I would like to get notified, if a chat-message arrives. I tried two add-ons, both will play a sound, but not show a notification-window, as promised, so I'd like to do it myself, using `notify-send`. I suppose, that'll take to listen to a fitting event and execute notify-send, can someone please give me a hint, how to do that? Docs are rare.

I have tried several-addons with no success and suspect a problem with my Ubuntu, as they don't show any problem-reports of other users.
Writing a Thunderbird-add-on is a little bit challenging and not as well supported than writing a Firefox-Add-on. Also the used JS-func for alerting, when messages arrive, shows a lot of bug reports.
So I decided to go for a shell-script-solution now, listening to a fitting child-process and sent notificia. I will post it , when it's finished.

How long does my private chat/message convertation last in skype? I can't find back one convertation from januar-feb 2015 and some from 2014. Do skype delete my message if i don't write for a while?

I use Skype 5.8 for Iphone. I would like to get messages - chat messages from all contacts, not only from which I have in my contact list. Is anybody can help me how to do it on Iphone?

ask your children to change their applid to stop receiving that or if they are on iCloud to just delete the account on the iPod and then when it asks to keep or remove contacts from the iPhone. make sure to remove so they will no longer see those contacts
-if they are syncing with a mac or pc just uncheck contacts from the Info tab on your iPhone from iTunes if you are not using iCloud.

Chat messages stuck in 'Not delivered yet' and oth...

Today, Skype (latest version 6.18.0.106) started acting up:
* Attempt to chat result in gray circular arrow 'Not delivered yet'. If I close Skype and start again, the queued chat message gets sent, but a new message also gets frozen in queued status.
* Attempt to call a landline freezes and I can't even hang up.
* Attempts to check speakers ignore the button clicks.
Windows 8, 64-bit, web connectivity and connection speeds on my machine are fine. Javascript is enabled and works in IE.

Please, run the DirectX diagnostics tool.
Go to Windows Start and in the Run box type dxdiag.exe and press the OK button. This will start the DirectX diagnostics program. Run this diagnostics and save the results to a file. Please, attach this file to your post.
Be aware that you will have to zip this file before attaching it here.

How to push the offline chat messages to server when internet is available

I am building chat application in windows phone 8.1 When internet is not available in the device i am storing all chat messages in sqlite database. I want push those messages to server when internet is available later even thought app is not open/active.

The best approach likely would be to use triggered background tasks. There is a specifc trigger for "InternetAvailable" which looks like a perfect match for your requirement. This article describes that feature in more detail:

If I remember correctly however usage of SQLite in background tasks can be somewhat problematic (my information on that may be old however). My suggestion in that case would be to serialize the messages into an XML file when your App is suspended/closed
which is likely to be a lot easier to handle in the background task (regular storage can remain in the SQLite database).

You cannot recover old chat messages, I'm afraid. Skype will only synchronize maximum the last 30 days of conversation when you start it for the first time on a new device.

The Facebook Application doesn't have the full funtionality of the desktop versions. There is actully other things you can't do the from the Ipad that you can do on the desktop version.
All you can do is send feedback to Facebook to update the Ipad version for more functionality.

Applescript active chat message received twice

I have an Applescript handler attached to Messages, and in the script I have defined actions in the "active chat message received" handler.
However, whenever a message is received in an active chat, the "active chat message received" handler is launched twice.
Does anybody know why this happens and how it can be avoided?

It's fake. Ignore it.
And if it were me, I'd tell the sender to leave you off any future silly broadcast messages.
Or delete that contact.

Retrieve Chat Messages from day 1

Hi.
I need to retrieve all my chat messages between another user(my fiance) and myself. The thing is, I had my laptop reprogrammed and all of my messages from 2 years ago is gone. I know it's very technical but those messages are important for me and my fiance, he'd retrieve it himself but he had his laptop reprogrammed also 3months ago.
Hopefully someone from Skype or the community can help us.

For future reference, if you want to make a copy of your chat messages, you need to make a copy of the main.db database file.

Chat message scrolling for Mac is still not scroll...

The chat message scrolling on the Mac is still not scrolling to the most recent message. You need to scroll down to the bottom to see the most recent message. Notifications are poppng up on the desktop, but the chat window does scroll to the most recent message.
On a related note, I believe there should be a preference setting to invert the message scrolling with the most recent message at the top of the window.

I'm now on V 7.7 (335) for Mac and there's no change as far as I can see. The lack of scrolling is a particular nuisance and it seems that Skype/Microsoft just are not interested in putting this right.
Seanpadraig's suggestion of recent message priorty seems a good idea to me.
Please Skype don't just ignore this issue.

Skype doesn't sync chat messages between devices

Hi, I have Lumia Denim (Application Version: 3.14.1.6; Core Build ID 3058.50000.1424.10478 ) with Skype (2.26.0.159 ). Since the Lumia Denim update, there is no chat message syncronization between my desktop computer and the windows phone client at all. It is not slow, this function is dissapeared. Do you have any suggestion about the resolution or maybe could you please give me any advice how could I give back my skype credit euros? Thanks,Zsolt

My skype chat messages no longer sync across devices either (samsung - andriod and pc - win7). This has only just started to happen (since Thur 30th/Fri 31st Aug). Did you find a resolution to your problem? Does anyone know why this has happened?
