Scan lines through transitions

Hi
I'm really pretty new to video editing, and I confess I have used a canon 5D mk2 to record my video (love it or hate it, it gives me better video than a cheap camcorder) However, I have successfully got a bunch of clips in HD 1080i but when I try and do transitions between the clips I get this odd scan line effect. Anyone seen this or know what I might be doing wrong?

Check your settings... as far as I know the Canon 5D MKII doesn't shoot 1080i, it shoots 1080p. Make sure your settings match the footage... interlaced video will show the scanlines on a computer unless you de-interlace it, but if you're working with the MKII you shouldn't have interlacing at all.

  • Scan has lines through it

    All of a sudden today, when I scan a document, I have hundreds of multi-colored lines running the length of the page.
    It shows up in the SCAN PREVIEW as well.
    When is email the SCAN file, the recipient claims the lines are in the printed copy as well.
    With a straight PRINTING effort, there is NO trouble . Copy is clean. ONLY in SCAN mode do I get these lines....hundreds of them.
    Running the HP fix download did nothing to cure this.

    I read your post about your scans showing colored lines through them. I will gladly do my best to recommend some helpful troubleshooting to you. I will need to ask that you first reply with some more information so I can better research this for you.
    In the meantime, try power resetting the printer and ensure the printer is plugged in directly to the wall outlet, avoiding power bars and surge protectors. This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help greatly.
    Press the Power button to turn on the product.
    With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
    Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    Wait at least 15 seconds.
    Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
    Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
    If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.

  • 8800, battery symbol with red line through it. Won't boot. Please help!!!

    I recently bought a 8800 and when I inserted a battery, all I got was a battery symbol with a red line through it on a dim screen.  I changed batteries, tried to charge it via USB and from a wall outlet to no avail.  I tried cleaning the contacts and tried uploading t a new  OS, but it wont recognize the phone being connected when it actually is.    I am at the end of my rope with this phone and can't figure out what else to do.  Is it just gone? Please help me

    Leave the device to charge 2-3 hours, and then, still connected to the USB cable, remove the the battery from the device a few seconds and reinsert it. If it boots--leave it to charge to 100% (check Options > Status for the percentage).
    If it doesn't boot--try using a wall outlet charger if you are not. If you are connected via USB to the PC, make certain that you have Desktop Manager (or the USB device drivers) installed, which you can download below.

  • How do I eliminate text with black lines through the words

    I am using Firefox 14.0.1 on Linux Ubuntu 11.04.
    I am getting black lines through the text on some web sites. Mostly Google. How do I eliminate the lines.

    A few other basic trouble shooting things you can try is this:
    Run all Windows Updates, install all needed service packs, etc.
    Update your graphics driver (Firefox uses your graphics card for some rendering, and an out of date graphics card driver can cause problems. [[Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL]]
    Update all your plugins (Flash, Java, etc.): [http://www.mozilla.org/plugincheck/ http://www.mozilla.org/plugincheck/].
    Download and Install MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, run a full Scan. [http://www.malwarebytes.org/ http://www.malwarebytes.org/]. This helps check that there are no viruses on your computer causing issues. You can uninstall this program after you clean off any infections.

  • Vsync Screen Tearing / Scan Line Issue?

    This is something I noticed on my iMac after updating to Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. I noticed a horizontal break in the screen when I was doing any kind of graphic intensive operation. Anything from scrolling up and down on a web page in Safari, to switching screens in Spaces, to bring up my Dashboard or switching users with FUS. By opening a new movie recording in Quicktime X and simply moving the video around, you can clearly see this break is not a random screen tear, but actually some sort of scan line moving from top to bottom in my monitor. I've never seen this prior to Snow Leopard, but I suppose it is possible this is a hardware issue, rather than a software or driver issue. Can anyone else duplicate this on Snow Leopard? I am on a 2007 2.8 Core 2 Extreme iMac with RadeonHD2600 graphics.

    I also get this issue in Snow Leopard when connecting my iMac up to a TV via the apply video adaptor. I didn't get this with Leopard and I don't get this on my iMac display.
    I've been through all the video settings I can find (frame rates, display sizes, etc) and each one still has the issue. SL has changed the system preferences for external video so I guess something else may have also changed.

  • Scan Lines

    The only way to minimize the scan lines from appearing on copies, faxes and scans is to unplug the machine wait and then plug back in.  However, this is NOT a solution but just a bandaid.  I have noticed that I am having to do this more and more often.  I would like a permanent solution to this problem  please!!

    I would like to assist you today with resolving the vertical lines issue that you're experiencing on your copies and scans when using your HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-All-in-One Printer. Now I understand that running a power reset in the past has resolved this issue for you, but only temporarily. At this time I will be looking for a permanent fix for this issue. Just so you are aware, this copy and scan quality issue is caused by one of two things:
    1) Power Issue
    2) Programming Issue
    I will be running you through troubleshooting to isolate the cause and provide a permanent resolution. Please follow the steps below.
    Step 1: Check Power:
    Lack of power can cause printers not to function properly. To ensure that your machine has the full amount of power to function properly can I please have you plug your printer direct to a wall outlet. Avoid power strips and surge protectors as they can cause your printer to lack power. Once your printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet please test your product. Should the issue persist, please proceed to the next step.
    Step 2: Update Firmware:
    A programming corruption in your printer can cause the All-in-One not to function properly. To update to the most current programming Firmware Version for your printer please click here. Once the website opens select the Download button on the top left. Follow through with the onscreen instructions to send the current Firmware Version to your printer.
    Once the Firmware has been updated please test your printer to verify if the issue has been resolved.
    Should the issue persist, please click here. Once the troubleshooting steps open, can I have you run through Solution one, Solution three, and Solution four.
    Please respond to this post with the result of your troubleshooting. Should the issue persist there is an additional programming reset I may need you to run on your machine. Good luck!

  • My Blackberry does not start up, all I get is a red line through the battery

    Hi this is my first Blackberry and seven months after purchace I phone stops working. All I get when I turn it on is a red line through the battery. I bought a new battery and the same thing. I am like at wits end, HELP!

    I've only had my new iMac for a week and today when I rebooted I got a gray circle with a line through it. I've already done the command-r and used Disk Utility to Repair Disk and Repair Disk Permissions... over and over. As a last resort I even reinstalled Mountain Lion with the OS X Internet Recover. No such luck. After it still booted with the gray circle with a line through it.
    I was able to use "Scan Image for Restore" to see that all my files are on the hard drive.
    What should I do?

    Unfortunately, I also previously tried booting with the Shift key. Nothing. It acted like I wasn't even pressing the Shift key. I tried it multiple times. Sorry, I forgot to say that in my initial post.
    I just tried the Option key and selected Macintosh HD (the only option). I still got the gray circle with the line though it.
    I've already spent at least 30-40 hours installing all my software and transferring over all my pics and music. I can't "erase the disk and install OS X again".

Version: 9.2.1"  When I try to update, it pops up to say "These apps cannot be accepted by your apple id - These apps were already assigned to another Apple ID and they will be available in that Apple ID's purchases list.  If you don't have access to that Apple ID and want to receive future updates, you will need to purchase the application".  I checked and there is nothing under the "purchases" in my App store.  Then will say "update unavailable with this apple id - This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or canceled." Then the third pop up says "We could not complete your request. There was an error in the App Store.  Please try again".  Just want to know how do to fix.

    After I upgraded to Mavericks I was also having this message when I tried to update. There was a previous post about this problem which offered this simple solution which worked for me:

    Got it! Thanx.  What I did was go to my account, check that they had my new ID and Password which they did, then hit reset button. All fixed.

  • Why can i watch videos from safari online while in 3g area but when at home connected to wi-fi the video screen comes up with a play button with a line through it and doesnt let you watch video

    i can not watch videos while at home and connected to wi-fi. when i touch the video i want to watch a screen comes up with a play symbol with a line through it. i can disconnect from the wi-fi and go to 3g and the video will play. this is happening when i go to safari and try to watch a online video.

  • I transferred all my itunes music from my old pc to a new laptop using an external hard drive.  I can drag songs to out ipods, but when i try to add songs to my Iphone 4, I get the red circle with a line through it.  It will not allow me to transfer music

    I have transferred all of my itunes music for my old pc to a new laptop via an external hard drive.  All songs are sucessfullt loaded in itunes and I can drag songs to my husband's ipod without any problems.  However, when I try to drag songs to my iphone 4, it will not let me.  I get a red circle with a line through it. Why would it work from itunes to ipod but not to my iphone?  HELP!!!

    Have you tried resetting the device (nothing will be lost): Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the Home screen redisplays, see if your Music app is behaving normally.

    Though I have doubts for success, you might try a SMC reset.  It can do no harm.  Otherwise, barring suggestions from others, the Apple Store or qualified repair facility is the last option.

    Not knowing how its embedded...  you will need to get the report instance from the dll and cast it as a ReportDocument object.
