Scanjet G3010 Scans black color with faint green stripe

When scanning photos the black or other dark colors will have a faint green stripe over a portion of the photo. The green stripe may actually cover some of the other colors however it is clearly visible on the portions that are black. I have installed the latest driver for Windows 7 64 bit dated Oct 2012 with no improvement. This has been a issue as long as I have owned this scanner and I have grown weary of trying to reposition the photos to make the green tint less noticeable.

Black color overlapping blues/greens ?

Hey there. I have problems with colors. There is black overlapping blues/greens as shown on the image. This spiral is done with the same color airbrush style so the more saturated the area is the more black color percent appears. I have installed it 2 weeks ago and it was working well for kinda half that time. Suddenly that problem appeared without any idea why. I have tried reinstalling both graphic drivers and photoshop but doesn't help.
PS ver: 13.0.1
PC: i5, HD7850
OS: Win7

Good news everyone! The AMD Catalyst 13.2 beta 4 driver finally fixes the problem, if you want to go for the very latest instead of downgrading.
I've been running the Catalyst 13.2 beta 4 driver for a few days now. It seems pretty stable.

Left two thirds of my iPAD 1 screen black with faint horizontal stripes.

I have tried reset but no change. Black area still responds to touch but typing blind! Any ideas?

also, as i mentioned, if i try to turn the ipad on immediately, it will show the fuzzy bars but if i wait like 30 seconds to a minute and try to turn it back on, the screen is normal...
what could possibly be the reason for this? i mean, it should either work or it shouldnt, right?

IMac suddenly freezes with Little green stripes! What's the problem?

Was working and suddenly had this problem: whole screen and additional monitor was covered with little signs - 3 little stripes. No reaction on mouse or keyboard. After cold reset same problem

I suspect a hardware problem. I'd recommend taking it to your local Apple Store or AASP. You can try to run Apple Hardware Test though in Extended Mode.

Photosmart C4780 Mac OS 10.9 scan clear on preview, but saves black with white horizontal stripes

I'm having difficulty figuring out why my scanner all of the suddens saves all scanned documents (.pdf, .jpeg, .png) as a black document with white horizontal stripes. The preview scan from the utility looks fine.
I recently updated my Mac to OS 10.9.2
I have uninstalled all HP utilities and drivers and reinstalled them with all updates.
Printing works fine, as does copying.
I scan a lot of forms, so this is disconcerting.
Thanks for any help.
PS: I see that this is an issue that seems to have been solved for others, but my printer/scanner is not one of the ones listed. Is there another driver to try?

This is a known compatibility issue with the HP Scan application, which is not supported on 10.9.
You may scan using Apple's Image Capture or Preview as listed as a workaround in the following document, a Full Feature Software for your printer is not available for the operating system:

Hp scanjet g3010 not working in osx mavericks

I have an HP Scanjet G3010 that was working with Mt. Lion. After updating to Mavericks scanned images output to PDF show as black and white stripes. I have uninstalled the HP software and patches (which only go up to Lion) and reinstalled all HP software and patches and get the same results. Has anyone seen this and been able to find a work around. I tried the work around for the All-in-One HP devices, using the OS X Preview method, but that only crashes the HP scan software.

Change Browser Background Color with Image Fill

I inserted a picture using 'Image Fill' and 'Original Size' under Browser Background in the Page Layout tab and the browser background, I assume, defaults to white.
I need the browser background to be a standard black color with an Image Fill. I searched around the iWeb preferences and tabs but found no option...

The only way to get a black browser background is to set it to black. If you tile the photo there will be not browser background or make the image large enough so that it would take a very large browser window to exceed the photo's size. Or create a very large canvas with the photo in it at its original size and the rest of the area black.

How to compensate Cyan color with other colors with using profile

Hi Guys,
I am using Adobe Illustrator CS3. Mac OS 10.4.11. I need a help regarding color compensate. let me explain clearly. I am doing a project in that i need to delete Cyan color and need to compensate with MYK colors. Is there any short way to get with good result.
FYI: we have UCR (Under Color Remover) profile which is for Black. With using this profile we can compensate black color with CMY with good result. Like this way only I want Cyan color compensate.
Is there any profile or method for that. If there, please share with me....

You are getting rid of the C channel completely and trying to create the same color balance usign the M,Y and K plates? Quite simply - impossible unless your images have a narrow color spectrum. The K to some extent can be used to replace a lot of the density normally associated with the C. But there is a large part of the color wheel that you cannot produce with no C at all.
with actions and scripting it is not possible. because all the images are different, we need to work according to image.
This is not true. Actions are probably more powerful than you are aware and can be designed to bring up dialogs to allow you to tailor each image to your needs.

Black screen with white vertical lines

Have a Architect firm that uses Vector Works. His Mac crashes a lot, with a black screen or a black screen with white vertical stripes. 24" iMac 2.8 intel 4GB Ram and running snow Leopard and was doing the same things on Leopard.

try doing a smc reset by doign the following
turn off computer
then unplug it form the back of the computer
then hold down power button for about 10 secs
then plug it back in
then do pram reset by doing the following
press power button then imediatly press down the following keys
command+option+p+r
till you hear the beggining chime twice
if that doesnt work id be looking at getting it in to get looked at

Capture green strip

I have a MSI Ti4800se VTD8x (ms-8900), and when capturing with WinDVR (I haven't any other programs installed - WINXP Pro is my OS), I get a green strip or line up the top of the video. I tried unplugging the source cable, and that only resulted in the dvr screen going black, with the green strip still there. My Country standard is PAL (Australia). When the NTSC_M standard is selected under Device > Video Input, the green strip disappears (a thinner white/grey line replaces it with white dots), but the image gets stretched, as you would predict. These lines are around 8-2 pixels in height. I remember it hasn't always been there.

I have found the problem is not any hardware problem, as both Virtualdub and iuVCR capture without any visible glitches (except those of bad codecs at low compression :P). It is purely due to Intervideo WinDVR 2.0... I might try an update.

Quality Issues and Green Strip at Right of Frame in Comp. 3.5

I just upgraded to Compressor 3.5 with my upgrade of FCS which includes FCP 7 (I guess this is FCS 3 even though the upgrade box doesn't say so). The quality of Compressor's outputs using the same settings is noticeably inferior to the previous versions of Compressor in the FCS releases that included FCP 5 and FCP 6. I also have this green stripe that appears at the extreme right edge of the frame.
I mostly do h.264 compressions for streaming. In previous versions of Compressor included with FCS 5 and FCS 6, Compressor made incredibly good quality compressions when set to a restriction of 300 kbps for a 500 x 282, 16.9 screen size using the 'best quality' multi-pass encoding setting. In version 3.5 of Compressor, the quality, using the same settings, is absolute crud and I have this green stripe appearing on the extreme right edge of the frame.
My original source content is usually HDV 1080i60. The problem with my Compressor outputs w/ the green stripe is consistent, however, with footage I've been working with in Apple ProRes 422 (HQ)24p from a Red camera.
Has anyone else experienced this green stripe issue and know a solution? I'd also appreciate any suggestions on how to improve the output quality when compressing in h.264.
Also, has anyone gone back to the previous version of Compressor included with FCP 6 (sorry, I don't know what version of Compressor was included w/ FCP 6)? If so, does it play nicely with FCP 7?

I may have just answered my own question with the green stripe artifact issue in Compressor 3.50. Thought I'd share it to see if it helps anyone else.
A true 16:9 frame means the height of the frame is 0.5625% of the length (9 / 16 = .5625). I used to compress material with a frame size of 500 X 282. Although this wasn't a true 16:9 frame, the difference didn't create noticeable distortion and previous versions of Compressor handled it ok. In 3.5 this deviation appears to create strange artifacts, in my experience, on the right edge of the screen in the form of a solid green stripe. When I moved my frame size to 512 x 288, the green stripe artifact went away. 288 / 512 = .5625, which is a true 16:9 frame.
I have no idea if this is just a coincidence or a solution. These are the results of what 30 min. of testing yielded. Perhaps it will be helpful to others in dealing w/ the strange line artifacts on the edges of frames.

Camera green strip

Hello, since I have upgraded my iphone to the firmware 1.1.3, the camera began to store photos with a green stripe in the center (at the time of taking the photo this strip does not appear). To rule out that this was a hardware problem I downgrade to the firmware 1.1.2 and it worked smoothly. Today I'm in the firmware 2.0 with the hope that worked but the problem persists. I've completed restore and reset but nothing happens. You can see a photo here

I too just encountered this exact problem, but it was after the phone took a good tumble. ALthough it was inside the venerable Contour SHowcase enclosure, I'm afraid that the camera board or cable or circuit may have been damaged or come loose. Have you had any accidental drops or impact damage to your phone preceding the issue?

Scanjet G3010 driver (negative scanning) issue

Negative scanning problem
I have a problem with a newly installed Scanjet G3010 using 'setup_full_G3010_140_052' on a Win7 64 machine.
The diapositive scan works perfect....but;
The scanned preview of a color negative is fine, but the stored file is very, very blue.
A suggested use of VueScan gives the exact same result.
My guess is that it is a driver-problem because two different applications act the same (preview is perfect).
There appear to be more people with the same issue
Hopefully there is a HP-Pro with some solution...

I've done some more troubleshooting on this and have tried a couple more things. I first tried a high quality USB 2.0 cable to see if was related to the connection, but that did not change anything. The other thing I tried was connecting it to my USB hub. That WORKED! It scans fine now......very strange.
Maybe this fix I stumbled across might shed some light on the root cause because I don't think you should have to connect the scanner through a hub. Does this mean that the communication is too fast from Win 7 64? By the way, I'm using a dlink DUB-H7 hub.
I also found some error messages in the log (located at C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\HP\ScLogs). Thought I would post these also to see if anyone ( maybe even HP......or is that wishful thinking) might have some ideas........

Only scanned document (jpeg) can print black color

Hello everyone,
I have a weird problem with my printer. Black ink is not printing properly. Whenever I print any .doc or text files, a blurry page comes out..and sometimes, i got nothing but an empty page. What makes it weird is, I can print any scanned doc saved as jpeg with no problem. Black color gets printed with photos.
I already used the maintenance tools like cleaning and aligning the ink cartridge but to no avail. The ink level is also full.
Any idea what's happening?

OK, I checked the versions of the different machines running IE and they are all 5.00.2614.3500. Also, for the time being, my policy file consists of:
