Scanned form not same size as original

I am trying to scan a form into pdf and make it a fill-in form, then print only the form field info onto an original of the form. When I do so, the fields are out of alignment because the scanned form doesn't seem to be the same size.
Is there anyway to make the scanned form the same size as the original when I scan it.
Many Thanks to all that reply......

Depends on what software you are using to scan and produce the form fields. It's not Reader.

    Scanning/print 1:1.
My husband is making violins, and needs to be able to scan and print his templates 100% with no reduction in size.  We have an HP Deskjet 2050.  It is a nice printer/scanner, but no matter what we do it seems to reduce the size slightly whenever we scan/print.  Of course this wreaks havoc when you have to have a copy that is exactly the same size as the original.
If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this problem, please let me know.  We are getting so frustrated.  We need to be able to do this at home, not have to run to a printshop.
    Thanks!

  • Smartform form painter not same size as actual output

    Hi,
I have set up a z page format as 100x150 and assigned this to a smartform.
The form painter in smartforms dislays 100x150, according to the internal ruler .
But, when I print to my label printer (also set up as 100x150) not all info appears.
Testing has showed that the form painter seems to 33% bigger than actual. So, if I keep everything inside the dimensions 66x100, it prints out perfectly.
Any ideas why the form painter is bigger than the actual size?
    thanks.

    Hi
Check the Paper format selected on the Printer, and the Paper Size of the Paper format.
You can get this information from Basis Team. If it is a PC printer, you can check yourself by going to Properties-->Paper Tab of the Printer

  • Compressing files (almost same size as original)...?

    hello.
Anytime i have to compress a file, in order to quickly send it over email, i right click on the file that needs to be compressed, and then i choose "compress". I then get a zip file that is barely smaller than the original file (from 7.8MB to 7.2MB), which makes compression almost pointless.
So i figured that its just because i'm using the generic stock file compression application, whatever that is..... so i decided to download stuffit expander.
But i get the same result whether i compress it into a .zip file, or a .sitx file.
I'm so confused, but i'm sure this is something very simple. Am i misunderstanding the whole concept of what file compresison is?
I know that this is such an elementary question, but thanks for your time.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    thanks!!

    ah, ok. I totally understand.
I was trying to compress an mp3, which is already a compressed format.
Sorry for my lack of knowledge.
Yet, I will also be needing to compress scanned text documents in jpg format.
I assume i will have the same issue because jpgs are already compressed formatsas well?

  • Assign copy of form the same URL as original

    Hello,
I have a form that I copied over to edit so that I didn't have to close the form while making extensive changes to it.  Is there any way that I could make the copy have the same URL as the original one?  The URL has been distributed to many users so it will be difficult if we change that.
In the future we are going to have a central repository with links to the forms, so that the URL's can be different and it won't affect anything.  But for now, we have to deal with this issue.
    Thanks.

Are you dealing with a PDF form or something else like a FormsCentral web form? If PDF, where is it currently hosted?

  • Exported audio is same size of original video, after video'ss been cut

I have a 1.2GB video file, and its audio file is about 500MB. If I cut the video into pieces in iMovie, they get smaller, but the extracted audio piece is always 500MB. Is there any way around this ?
Is it possible to split a video in QuickTime ? I want to use all of the video, just have it in shorter pieces preïmport so that once they're in iMovie their extracted audio won't be the size of the original audio track.

Er, sorry, I meant extracted. (Wasn't thinking, going from French to English, and I can't edit post now too.)
    So, the extracting's in iMovie...

  • Exporting same size as original?

I have a 15 MB MPG file which I bring into Premiere and match it's settings. Then I cut it down from one hour to just 45 minutes. When I exported, the file is over 150 MB. I think I am using the lowest compression settings possible but am I wrong? Could you recommend some settings I should be using or a different method?
    Thanks!

Our point is that 15mb is an extraordinarily small file for  the original 60 minutes.
100MB is still small for 55 minutes and hence the quality hit.
    Jim said:
File size is determined by only two things.  Bitrate and duration.
    Its fact.
When I exported, the file is over 150 MB. I think I am using the lowest compression settings possible but am I wrong?
You want the highest compression settings for small file size and the lowest for best quality.

  • How to make Acrobat Pro 7 form fields same size

I can manually enter form fields in my version of Acrobat Pro 7 but I have to hand draw them.  is there a good way to make them all the same height?  I know that if I copy the form field that I draw, it will link itself to whatever form field I copied it from.
    TIA

The best way is to copy & paste the fields, and then rename them so that
    they are no longer "linked".
If you have many such fields to rename, you might want to consider this
    tool, developed by me:

  • Converting PDF to JPEG--tiny file, not full size image.

    using photoshop cs3
End result is I want a jpeg of the same size as original. here is what i do and what happens.
open pdf in photoshop; save as "jpeg"
jpeg shrinks to an inch wide, from an original 8.5 inches.
I've tried saving with compression off, saving pdf in various formats, nothing seems to work and my jpegs always save out very tiny.
any help would be appreciated! thanks.

I opened the file I attached to my mail in Photoshop and that's when it went small. I just looked on Apple forum and found a little button on the bottom right that was compressing the file. I hit "actual size" and have fixed the problem.
It was a Mail problem, (or my problem:) not Photoshop or PDF.
Thanks for your time and response...

  • Adobe interactive form(ABAP WD)size is increasing & not opening from EP UWL

    Hello All,
Adobe interactive form (ABAP WD) size is increasing after cleansing data from MDM and the form is not opening from portal UWL.
Same application is working fine in Dev and Qa environment. In dev and QA the form size is around 150 KB after cleansing data from MDM. Some reason in production it is more than 2 MB. FYI - We have multiple app servers in production.

    Hi Babi,
In the adobe form layout library Use the Submit(which internally means submit to SAP) button from the Webdynpro Native category.
Only this button action can connect adobe to web dynpro.
Whenever we click on this particular button the event will be trigger in the ONsubmit event of interactive form UI element in the webdynpro. There we can write our abap code.Hope this will help you.

  • When exporting to PDF, the pictures are not the same size I "placed" them

I am "placing" pics that are 653 x 983 pixels, 300 DPI, using CS4.  However, my issue is when exporting to PDF, the PDF doesn't look like the same size I "placed" the pic until I blow it up to about 350%.  I do not have a printer set up to my computer so I can't do the print/pdf option.  Am I doing something wrong here?  I can't figure it out.  Your help is appreciated.  Thanks!

Well, right when I open the PDF, it's just way too small, imagine it being the size of a business card.  I have to keep zooming in until it gets to the size I originally intended it to be.  When I create a new document am I suppose to make it the same size as the picture?

  • My SWF is not the same size as my Flash document size

My SWF is not the same size as my Flash document size. How can I get it to be the same.
    Thanks

I spent a little time trying to figure out if there's some setting anywhere that might explain this, but couldn't find anything.  That doesn't mean there isn't any--I just don't know of any.
I'm wondering if you could take a screen shot that shows the stage size versus the swf size when it plays?  It will help to make sure the problem is what I think you have it explained it to be.
Does this happen in all files you create or is it occuring just in one particular file?  What version of Flash are you using?  If you can make your file available maybe someone can see if the problem remains when they open it--possibly even track down some cause.  I am unable to open CS4 files (don't have it), but if it's an earlier version I can take a look.
If you are using CS4, have you updated it to the latest release (10.0.2, I believe)?  There were numerous bugs when CS4 was released, though I don't know if this would be one of them.

  • Emailing Photos not at Full and Original Size? Why...

Am trying to send photos to friends and family but the photo quality and size gets reduced by soooo much.
An iphone gives an option if I want to send the photo at compressed size or original size.
Why does the Windows 8 Nokia 920 compress photos and how can you turn it off?
Uploading pictures on usb to computer and then emailing photos from computer to someone is a bit of hassle considering Phones can skip and send photos themselves.

I believe that the natural limit for the MMS standard (1.2 or 1.3) that most phones have in use these days is 600KB, so if you are sending it directly then it will downscale the image to the smaller size in order to comply with the data size limit. If you are using SkyDrive app on your 920, there are Settings for photo upload and photo download sizes.
For now, there is not much that can be done except upload it to SkyDrive and send people a link to that file...which can be cumbersome I know. Reasons for compressing it may be to lessen the load on data plans that users have.
Anyways, as this is a user to user forum only for Nokia products and services, and what you are asking about refers to core WP8 behaviour, you are always welcome to leave suggestions for them at: http://windowsphone.uservoice.com
    I don't see why it can't

  • Creating PDF the same size as the original

I have a TIF created in Photoshop CS2 and I'm trying to create a PDF that's the same size as the original (3 x 2 inches). What is the secret? I'm pretty sure I've done this before, but I can't figure out what to select for Paper Size to make this happen. Thanks for the help!

Try opening the TIF file in Acrobat directly. I just opened a TIFF file and it came out 2.74 X 1.00. IrfanView says the TIFF is 2.7 X 0.4. It looks like the opening added a bit of height to the file, but the right idea.
