Scanner 4370 software suddenly quit working

For some reason, unknown to me, my Scanjet 4370 flatbed scanner stopped functioning with my Dell Desktop computer using Windows 7 32 Bit OS. Ihave gone to the HP site but cannot find any supporting software to download. I do understand that I am supposed to download software for a 3110 scanner, but find no where to get it. Apparently there is also a patch that allows this software to work with Windows 7 32 BIT. Can any of you more knowledgeable computer geniuses help me resolve this?

Scanner (Canoscan) Software Suddenly Stopped Working!

Hi all. I was wondering if anyone has come across scanner software ceasing to work before? I've been using a Canon Canoscan 8400f Scanner for years with little or no problems and suddenly in the the last few days it's stopped talking to my Mac. I have an iMac G5 PPC running 10.4.11, and as it has been running so well I know little about its inner workings. I've tried everything I could find on the web - re-installs, software and driver updates, permissions repair, nothing gets it talking to the computer. The only thing I have managed to glean is that it appears to be a software problem from the computer end - does the same whether I try to access it from buttons on the scanner or software on the mac. It runs Scangear CS and Canonscan Toolbox both of which I have updated, re-installed etc to no avail. The Canonscan Toolbox starts to boot up (showing its icon on the dock) and then shuts down before completion.
If anyone has had a similar problem or knows where the fault might lie, I'd be very glad of any help offered.

Addendum: Upon checking over the software bundled with the scanner (Canoscan Tool Box), I found a report log detailing the error. Can anyone help intepret this? Pic added below;
Any ideas? What is a EXC BAD ACCESS, or a KERN PROTECTION FAILURE?

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Plug/unplug the headphones from the iPad a few times. Also try rotating the plug in the socket a few times. The headphone jack has an internal switch which turns the speaker off when the headphones are plugged in. The contacts may have gotten dirty within the socket. Working the plug within the socket can sometimes get things working again.

HP Deskjet F4140 Suddenly Quit Working

Hello, I have an HP Deskjet F4140 connected to my iMac that suddenly quit working. The iMac doesn't even detect a a printer connected. I have updated my BIOs, uninstalled and reinstalled the printer drivers, etc. It worked fine last week. The only update I have made since then was an automatic update of the EEI Firmware. Any help?

The Apple updates messed with my HP C4280. I had to uninstall-delete then hunt down all HP files (preferences etc) using Spotlight and delete. Then restart and download and install the drivers again. After all of this it worked properly. Good luck.

I had the same problem, dictation suddenly stoped working on my new IPhone 5.
I tried the fix from Linda Swenberg and it worked.
Turn Off SERI in General settings
Power down the phone ( press and hold the on/off buttton)
Turn it back on
Turn SERI back on
Wait 3 minutes
It then worked

Have you looked at System Preferences/Trackpad to make sure it is set up?

My mouse pad quit working suddenly. It appears to be mechanically, as in the pad doesn;t seem to be going down to select. Any way to repair or free it up?

It could be the battery causing this.
Take your Mac to an Apple Store or Apple certified repair shop.

Time Capsule--Wireless suddenly quit working

My Time Capsule had always worked perfectly, but suddenly my wireless access from any device has quit working. My DSL is working fine, and the router and backup portions of the TC seem to be working. I tried a hard reset, updating to the latest version of Airport Utility and Firmware, and it still doesn't work. My laptop sees the network, but when I type in the password and try to connect, I get a connection time out.
Is there anything else to try, or do I assume it's broken?

Do a factory reset.. if the TC still will not pass IP addresses it is indeed faulty.. I get the idea it has swapped modes for some unknown reason. Anyway give it a try.. no luck and Apple will replace it.

In FCP7 my share option suddenly quit working, and I can't submit in compressor either. Any suggestions for a solution?

I have had FCP 7 installed on my Mac Pro since May 2011, It has worked flawlessly up until a couple weeks ago. The "share" option has quit working on me. Also, I am unable submit any jobs in compressor, the button is greyed out. This has come entirely out of the blue and I'm stumped as to the best course of action. Any suggestions?

Messages and facetime all of a sudden quit working

I had the same problem too. For some reason the phone settings turned them off. For iMessage you have to go to Settings>iMessage and turn it back on. Same for FaceTime, go to Settings>Facetime and turn it back on. Don't know why some peoples stayed on and others, like ours, turned off. Hope this helps

CS3 Master Coll. Photoshop has suddenly quit working (running XP)

When I click OPEN to open a file,. instead of taking me to my folders, it closes Photoshop down. Open Recent works but not plain Open. I uninstalled it using the Add/Remove and reinstalled to no avail. It also thinks I don't have an internet connection when clearly I do. The other components seem to be working okay- just not the one I need. I have a big wedding to edit and finish by the end of the week- help!

My problem with photoshop and CS3 is that they are triplicating the
photographs each time I launch and Adobe seems to continue to give me the excuse
they are working on the problem of catalogues they are aware
of..................... I am into my 4 th month with this problem and still have nothing
resolved.

Adobe Digital Editions quit working for all users on my Wndows Vista computer after I tried several times to install a book that wouldn't install. The book is one of three I recently purchased even though the other two installed with no problem. Other books were already installed.
I uninstalled and re-installed ADE with the latest version and tried again after clearing out the "My Digital Editions" folders by moving the contents elsewhere. The same problem occurs with all users on my computer.
The program runs showing no books or bookshelves despite contents in the "My Digital Editions" folder. If I try to "Add to Library," the program shuts down and shows nothing- not even an error message when re-run. Even though I'm only able to create a bookshelf, no bookshelf appers when the program is re-run.
I even tried de-authorizing and re-authorizing my computer.
What should I do?

Whilst your Apple ID (presumably the @mac.com) may have been the original and been linked to @me.com at the MobileMe period and then to iCloud (@icloud.com) you need to keep to the same Apple ID through out (the iMessages server seems to treat them as different IDs to some extent).
In the Finder use the Go Menu > Go to Folder and enter ~/Library/Preferences
Find and Drag to the Trash com.apple.ids.service.com.apple.madrid.plist
On the iPhone remove those emails that are not the Apple ID in use.
On Restarting the Mac version you will have to re-enter the Apple ID.
If you then restart again you should get the pop ups to say what the iPhone is using (linking the iPhone number to the Apple ID)
Once you enable Text Forwarding on the iPhone then the Mac Version should generate and show you the Code to then enter in the iPhone's dialogue box to pair the devices.
If each Contact is turning red as you try to Send and reporting that the Contact is "Not Registered with iMessages" then you have a different issue.
This is caused by a partial login to the iMessages server and it seems it is one of those that only contacting Apple Support and saying you have an Account issue with the iMessages server from your Mac can it get sorted. (make sure you say it is an Account issue)
Of course it is the iPhone that is actually sending the SMS messages so it does need to have Carrier service at this point.

Downloaded air/flash/java(??) software suddenly not working.

I play online poker professionally and for a living, and everything has been running fine.
Then today, my SkyPoker app suddenly started timing out at the table and becoming very laggy and skippy.
I have argued with the Sky support team but they're convinced it is my error. My internet connection is fine so it's not that, and if i log in on a Windows laptop it works fine.
So i opened up Betfair Poker on the desktop and that is nowhere near as bad but is still not running smoothly at all.
To my knowledge no updates were installed before it started running like this. My Safari also seems to be pretty laggy at the moment.
I know NOTHING about computers or macs whatsoever, so i don't even know if they run on Java, Flash, Adobe AIR (which is had to download to install SkyPoker) but this mac is only 6 months old so wouldn't expect this out of it.
I need to know how to check what's causing the problem or how to fix it but i have no idea where to start. I thought it was Sky's problem but as it seems to be happening on all these kinds of software i'm thinking it's definitely a problem with my mac.
I'm running Lion 10.7.4 and have all the latest updates for Java, Adobe Air, Adobe Flash and the latest actual software for the programs i want to use installed. I even tried uninstalling then reinstalling them manually.
The last software update updated Safari and the Raw Camera Compatability Update, but these were updated after the problems started.
Any help is appreciated because i'm pulling my hair out and cannot continue with these problems on what has otherwise been an awesome first mac experience for me. I don't really want to have to send my mac off to be looked at by someone either.

At any rate your issue is a problem with the site in question. "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: PChatPanel" means that resources the program needs cannot be found. This is a problem with that site and you will have to address it with them in order to resolve it. Nobody else can help you with this because it is a site problem and beyond our control.
