Scanning and faxing receipts into PeopleSoft Expenses

Does anyone out there scan and/or fax expense report receipts into PeopleSoft for use in the Expenses module?
If so, can you let me know what 3rd party you are using?

Yes, I have worked on similar implementation. ImageNow is one the vendors which supports PeopleSoft processes.

I had a HP3052 whith a scaner message error 5 which can't print anymore. Anyway scanning with this HP is not supported anymore. So looking into the huge HP compatibility list on the web I see no good choice:

The new HP LaserJet M127fn MFP duplex is not even on this list...
I prefer laser than ink printers (I hate buying cartridges every month or have the system stuck with dry ink when not used for a month).
There are some good brother laserprinters, e.g. MFC7860DW, but PC-Fax doesn't work on Mac (I believe).

mainly because more and more people seem to have bad experiences with HP printers in the $150-$300 range and manufactured in recent years;
and forget about faxing...

When will there be scan and fax drivers for kyocera FS-C2126 MFS

I am new to MAC OS X and was a bit astonished that the MFP printers manufactured by kyocera are not supported any more regarding scan and fax option. This was not really clear to me when I checked their driver homepage a few weeks ago. I managed to get at least printing work on my FS-C2126 with their drivers but kyocera support told me that scanning and fax is not supported under os x 10.7.x neither via USB nor via ethernet. From their side there's no plan to provide a new driver, they told me to ask apple about that issue. Thats a bit frustrating as the kyocera printers are commonly used in business environment and I cannot beleive that there should be no way to use them in combination with a mac...
Does anyone know a solution for these issues? Maybe a (commercial?) third party software? I could not find any clues in the internet. I already checked SANE for scandrivers but there are none.
What's your experience with apple regarding these things? Is it likely the'll provide drivers from their side?
Any help is welcome.

I totally agree but for whatever reason they don't at the moment....
I just read that apple is providing updated printer driver packages sometimes (they just released packages for samsung, canon, gestedner etc.) so it seems they do take care about these issues.

Office Jet 8610 and OS X Server: Using Public Network Drive to Scan and Fax

Dear all, I try to set up my Officejet 8610 so that it can send faxes and scans to my OS X Server (Mac OS X 10.10.4, latest patches installed), which is aptly named server. I set up Digital Fax with the printer's webpage and provide the following details: SMB-Directory: \\server\Shared\Username: The username of the administrator account (yes, I wrote it correctly)Password: The password of the administrator account (yes, I wrote that correctly, too)The SMB directory is shared via SMB (unencrypted (Yes, I know)) and writeable to everybody, even without a valid authentication. Nonetheless, the printer won't connect and complains that username and/or password is not correct. Using another username or no username at all does not work either. Any ideas on that? It would be really helpful if the sharing via SMB or, even better, AFP or WebDAV would work. Thanks a million!

Client systems retrieve mail from whatever mail server(s) they are configured to access, and whichever mail servers they can reach with the available network links. These communication links can be unrestricted wireless, iPhone-style EDGE connectivity, private wired, or virtual private network (VPN) connections, or otherwise.
So yes, clients can access your ISP mail, and a second account or profile or configuration (or whatever the particular mail client calls it) can be set up to reference your mail server.
Whether or not the client is mobile matters less here than establishing and securing connectivity.
Whether the client has connectivity with the mail server is a central factor, and this means a VPN into your network (which can be preferable for various reasons) or setting up a mail server that is accessible through your firewall.
I'd tend to set up the clients to raise a tunnel, then connect to your mail server. With this, your clients act as if they are on the local LAN; they're inside your network firewall for all intents and purposes.

Windows scan and fax problems

I am not a computer guy. I have had nothing but problems reaching out via phone and online support for this simple problem. Microsift support web site is not working properly. Please help. I can not find the windows fax and scan
program on my windows server 2002 R2 that I just bought. Where can I find it and how do I activate it? Everywhere I look for it on my computer I can't find it. Thanks

Won't print but scan and fax are working C7180 running XP - status sez printer disconnected.

My C7180 has been a stellar performer until this morning. The printer won't print. It is connected because I can scan to my computer. The printer answers my fax line. BUT - when I try to print I get the 'baloon' on the bottom of the screen telling me that the 'docoment failed to print' ---- Any ideas?

Unable to Assign Credit Card Receipts into Expense Receipts in ESS

Hi Guru,
I have configurated the Credit Card Clearing in Travel Expense.
All work fine in PR05 or TRIP.
But When I perform the SAME in ESS's Create Expense Report, After Credit Card Item is selected and Assign Button is pressed. But action in Result.
May I know what further configuration needs to be done? Thanks in Advance.

Try these steps:
In order to have credit card receipts available for a demo within the service My Credit Card Receipts (<# of available receipts>), you need to prepare the following steps:
1.     Log on to the backend system in the language of your demo.
2.     Go to transaction PA30.
3.     Check which credit card company is stored for the employee you want to use for your demo (see Infotype 105 subtype 0011).
4.     Go to transaction SE38.
5.     Type in the report name RPRCCC_CREATE_TESTFILE and execute the report.
6.     On the next screen enter the employees credit card company (e.g. AX for American Express), leave the default enterprise ID with Test) and enter the personnel number of the employee for whom you want to create credit card data:
7.     Execute the program. The next screen shows you which test data has been created locally on your C: drive.
8.     Go back to the start screen of transaction SE38.
9.     Type in the report name RPRCCC00 and execute the report.
10.     Enter Test as enterprise ID and de-activate the flag Test run (no data transfer), then execute the report:
11.     The system now asks you to select a file. The test file you had created with report RPRCCC_CREATE_TESTFILE was automatically stored on your C: drive with file name CCC_DEMO.CCD. Choose this file and click Open:
12.     The system shows you which data has been imported for the employee. You can now show the service My Credit Card Receipts as well as mark and insert credit card receipts into your expense report once you have created a new expense report.

Scan and Capture minimizes to taskbar immediately and does not allow scan selection

Scan and Capture was working great prior to upgrade to Windows 8.1 and (I think) and upgrade to V1.4. I vaguely recall using some app from HP to uninstall the previous version...
Current symptoms are that the app will fire up, briefly show the splash screen, and then immediately minimize to the task bar. Clicking on the app in the task bar will bring the splash screen back up briefly, followed by minimization again to the task bar. The app can be closed by right clicking the app on the task bar.
I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled to no avail. My guess is that there is some registry junk left behind during the uninstall that needs to be scrubbed. Probably a function of the uninstall of the previous version?
App works just fine on another Win8.1 PC with the same printer, so I doubt it is a hardware or network issue, however, for completeness, the scanner is an HP CM1312nfi MFP and the PC is an HP Pavillion, [email protected], 8GB RAM, running 64 bit Win8.1 Pro with Media Center.

To follow on...
I reinstalled the Complete Package. Subsequent to this install, the legacy HP Laserjet Scan (with UI from 2009) and the legacy Windows Scan and Fax applications connect and scan from this MFP just fine.
The Metro apps (Windows Scan and HP Scan and Capture) do not. The Window Scan (Metro) gives a "Problem Connecting to Scanner" error.
The HP Scan and Capture has the same behavior as before -- splash screen for a second and then minimized to the task bar. I have also tried to launch HP Scan and Capture from the HP AiO Metro app with the same results.
To sum up, the WinXP applications work. The Win8 applications do not.
Junk in registry? Or driver issue?

New officejet 6600 - Can't scan or fax, printing A-ok. Using wireless.

Hi I have read and tried every thread on this topic. it is now 6 hours later and about 30 restarts, installs, re-installs and re-re installs, oh and full uninstalls, each time turing off firewall and anti-virus. Microsoft paint won't work either, but the printer shows up in the windows scan and fax, but just hangs when trying to connect. I have tried HP printer and scanner trouble shooter recognizes the printer but when scan trouble is selected hangs also on drivers. What else.. umm I tried most of the help topics here... so who is up to the challange of this one. Windows 7 machine. I had a office jet 6700 connected last week worked great at work, so bought this 6600. I thought conflict but uninstalled all hp files and reinstalled using hp installation package. Followed thread on regestry updating, and services.msc. I read about reg edit or mechanic, have used AVG reg cleaner, but disabled it for the install.

Scanner and fax problems with the Officejet 7410 AIO

I have Windows 7 SP1 Ultimate 64 bit and I installed the basic drivers for the network of the Officejet 7410 AIO printer and I checked that all its functions worked properly.
Now, the functionality of the scanner and fax do not work more as in the "Devices and Printers" not appear more their relative icons. How come? How do I install them manually?

I see that you are having scanning, and faxing problems with your HP Officejet 7410 on Windows 7 SP1.
I would recommend the following:
Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor, to diagnose the issue.
Uninstall the software. Uninstalling the Printer Software.
Re-install the software using the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows.

It looks like the Brother MFC-3360 can only print/fax with a MacBook Pro which stinks that it cannot scan ( a function on the MFC that worked on my Dell laptop). Do i need to get another MFC that works with apple?! who faxes anymore? i need to scan and email the documents, not print and fax. this is a very unpleasant surprise.

Failure to scan, copy, and fax for HP Officejet 4500

I am trying to scan with my HP Officejet 4500 and it is not allowing me to do so. When I turn on the printer it says "Scanner Failure. Cannot scan, copy, or fax". When I try to scan, I have the wireless option to send it to my computer and when I select my computer, nothing happens and it takes me back to scan, copy, fax menu. I have tried installing and reinstalling and unistalling too many times. I have also unplugged all wires. Nothing is working. I have had mutiple problems with this printer and it is not even a month old. How do I fix this issue.

My best advice to give in regards to trusting HP may be a little biased (as I have always had good luck with electronics). So with any new printer, remember that when deciding to purchase anything, I avoid the cheapest and the most expensive item, regardless of the product or the manufacturer (because they are usually the most fragile). A good mid-priced reliable printer that I absolutely adore for its durability is the Officejet 6700 because it has all the great functionality of an expensive unit, affordable ink like for cheaper printers, and you still get the free one year warranty. That is simply my opinion as I do not get paid to sell anything. I hope this helps you. Best of luck with your decision. May any printer you choose bring you many successful years of printing.
