Scanning Cancelled warning when try new scan

When I finish one scan and try to start a new one, I get the warning "Scanning cancelled" and cannot then start the new scan. This is a new phenomenon for me as have used that funciton for a long time with HP OfficeJet 7410 all-in-one.
Acrobat Pro 9.3.0

  • Old Scanned Documents attach themselves to new scans.

    My new scans are being added to the PDF of an old scan?  Why?  how do I work around this?
    Example:
    I scan a magazine article and mail it to a friend, later in the day I scan a photograph to mail to my daughter.  The photograph comes as page 2 in a PDF, where page 1 is the magazine article.
    The only way to work around this is to go into my documents folder, delete the scan.pdf and rescan. 
    Is ther a setting I can place to it never combines the scans?  (IF I UNCHECK COMBINED SCANNED DOCUMENTS, I get seperate PDFs per page, so if i scan a 3 page magazine article each page is it's own file, so that is not good either).

  • SpeedGrade CC Warning When Loading New Reels

    I have a project with the EDL workflow on a new iMac 32GB Ram 4GB graphics card
    When I try loading the Reel I get this Warning:
    Warning
    The frame rate of some of the new reels does not match the current frame rate.  Mismatched frame rates can cause out-of-range timecode errors.
    The frame rate of the footage is 29.97
    I've made adjustments under the Settings->Editing and uner Settings->Playback and under the View tab 'Playback Speed' to set everything to 29.97 but I always seem to get this error, not matter what I do. I created my EDL using Premiere Pro with the footage in a 29.97 timeline.
    I'm having an issue with playback with it freezing frames, so I'm thinking that if I fix this issue maybe it will fix my other problem?

    I spent 1.5 hours waiting on hold to talk to Adobe Tech support, who then spent about 2 hours trying to trouble shoot the issue with me.  The software progressively got WORSE with more and more errors the more that we tried things.  It got to the point where I decided to reinstall SG but the original problem of the Warning and the freeze frame continued.
    My conclusion: SG currently does not work on my system (brand new iMac) with Mavricks. Its so full of bugs and errors that its not worth my time any more trying to figure it out.  Instead, I started learning the Premiere Pro color grade tools and I've had better luck.  My advice is to stay away from SG until the engineers have time to figure things out. 

  • FF20 on Win 7 no option to turn OFF private browsing -- No SAFE Mode warning when try to start in Safe mode. Any ideas

    Since the latest Win 7 update -- Tue 16th -- in particular FF has been getting slower.
    Tonight with FF20 using ADblock Plus and NoScript addins I have no option to turn off private browsing and when attempting to resart in safe mode I do not get the warning message.
    Have tried a reset and restart but FF remains the same not responding and freqent crashes.

    Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I understand when you are trying to scan a new document on your HP Officejet 6500A it is bringing up an old scan as opposed to the new scan. Can you please let me know the Exact model of 6500 you are using as well as the current Operating system Windows or Mac and which version?
    Also please let me know how you are scanning, are you using the front panel of your 6500 or are you using the HP software on your computer?
    I will watch for your reply so we can begin troubleshooting!

  • HP LaserJet Pro 100 - scans only from tray, won't scan from adf

    Hi
    I am having issues with my HP LaserJet Pro 100.
    I load the adf and upen the scan dialog however when I click scan, it will scan from the tray every time. I have cleaned the rollers and checked the paper. I have ran scan doctor and it doesn't notice a problem as it doesn't check the adf. 
    There is no error message as it just keeps scanning from the tray even when it is empty and the adf is loaded.
    I have reinstalled the product and tried again but we still cannot scan from the adf.
    I have read several threads which have mispick issues and many threads relating to issue with this particular product yet the help centre IM chat support doesn't have anyone who can assist with this product which i find odd. It doesn't need servicing yet as it isn't very old.
    Please can anyone provide a solution to the problem?

    I see that you are unable to scan from the ADF. I can help you.
    Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector)
    I have provided a document for cleaning the ADF rollers and the separator pad, just to make sure these are the areas you cleaned previously, since you mentioned you already cleaned the rollers.
    'Document feeder mispick' Message Displays on the Control Panel and the ADF Does Not Pick Up Paper o...
    Disregard the title. Both models are pretty similiar for the ADF.
    You must have the Laserjet Pro 100 M175nw. 
    How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?

    Epson Perfection 1200 scanner continues to function as a flatbed scanner but when I try to scan transparencies/film negs the control panels change in  Image Capture but the scanner bar will not complete the overview scan  & cannot travel beyond the first 2/3 centimeters. All the communications seem to recognise the scanner and the mode for the intended scan but the necessary overview scan is not completed, nothing comes up on the Image Capture scan window. If I unplug the film adaptor I can get a document scan. When I plug in the adaptor again the Image Capture details change which allows me to select the type of scan required but when the scanner attempts an overview scan it is unable to complete it.
    I have had the scanner from new (12 Years) and have previously scanned slides and film with the adaptor but maybe this was before I upgraded my computer (imac 27").
    Do I have to buy a new scanner?  It seems so close to working correctly. 
    I have downloaded the Epson recommended driver (5.4) and have Epson Perfection 1200 6.6 Universal showing in the Applications List.
    Any thoughts or observations would be much appreciated before I go out and spend money an new hardware.

  • When I try to scan a document on my MF8050cn, I get a "Connect Computer" error.

    When I try to scan a document on my MF8050cn, I get a "Connect Computer" error.  I am running Windows 8.  My device is directly connected to the computer.  I can print from the computer to the printer without issue.  I get this error when using the controls on the device. 
    If I try to use the MF Toolbox - Scan Function controls, I get the following error message: "This action cannot be completed because the other program is busy.  Choose 'Switch To' to activate the busy program and correct the problem."  When I click "Switch To", it brings me to the Windows 8 tiles screen but does not resolve the issue.
    Please help!

    I recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers and software.  Please follow the steps below to perform the operation:
    1.  Unplug the USB cable from the printer.
     2.  Press the Windows key and 'x'.
     3.  Select 'Control Panel'.
     4.  Select Devices and Printers.  The Devices and Printers window opens.
     5.  In the Devices and Printers window, right click on the MF8000 Series and select 'Remove' to delete the printer.  Delete all of the icons for the MF8050Cn.
     6.  Close the Devices and Printers window then press the Windows key and 'x'.
     7.  Select 'Control Panel'.
     8.  Select 'Programs and Features'.
     9.  Double click on driver to uninstall.  Follow the on screen prompts.  Repeat to uninstall the MF Tool box.
    10.  Restart you computer.
    Once your computer restarts, please follow these steps to download and install the drivers and the MF Toolbox from Canon's web site:
     1.  Visit our web site at: http://www.usa.canon.com.
     2.  After clicking SUPPORT & DRIVERS in the top right corner, select your model in the following manner:
         a.  From the first menu, select CONSUMER & HOME OFFICE.
         b.  From the second menu, select PRINTERS & MULTIFUNCTION.
         c.  From the third menu, select your series, IMAGECLASS SERIES.
         d.  From the fourth menu, click DRIVERS & SOFTWARE under imageCLASS MF8050Cn.
     3.  Click the drop-down arrow and change the operating system to Windows 8 (x64).
     4.  Click on 'DRIVERS', then click on [Windows 64bit] imageCLASS MF8050Cn MF Drivers file. 
     5.  Click on I Agree - Begin Download on the next page.
     6.  When the Save As box comes up, choose Desktop and click Save. 
     7.  Once the download is complete, click on 'I Decline- Go Back' and you will return to the previous page.
     8.  Click on 'SOFTWARE', then click on the [Windows 32bit & 64bit] Tool Box Ver.4.9.1 file.
     9.  Click on I Agree - Begin Download on the next page.
    10.  When the Save As box comes up, choose Desktop and click Save. 
    11.  Once the download is complete, close all windows.
    12.  Double click the [ToolBox_4911mf16_Win_EN.exe ] file on the Desktop.  Follow the prompts to install the MF Toolbox.
    13.  Double click the [MF8050Cn_MFDrivers_W64_us_EN_2.exe] files to decompress them.  A new folder will be created on the Desktop.  The new folder has the same name as the decompressed file.  Double-click the decompressed Setup.exe file to start installation.
    14.  Once that window goes away, connect the USB cable from the MF8050Cn to the computer.  Installation will complete.
    Wait a few minutes then scan a document using the MF Toolbox.

  • Power button flashes when I try to scan HP Deskjet 2514

    I first had a problem where my printer would not stop printing, even though I canceled it.  I looked it up and followed these instructions.  From the Desktop, hold down the Windows key and press R.  Into the Run window, type services.msc and hit enter.  Browse down to the print spooler service, right click it and select Properties then click on the Stop button.  Now browse to C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS and delete the job inside this folder - You may need to click a prompt to gain the appropriate authority to open the PRINTERS folder. Restart the computer and you should find the document(s) have been removed. I didn't know which one to delete, so I deleted everything in the folder.  Now,  my printer will print, but everytime I try to scan something, my power button blinks and it won't scan.   Please help!

    Hi , I read your post and see that you were able to resolve the issue for the print jobs not cancelling out, but now you are unable to scan. I would be happy to help you.
    Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector) This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation. Download and run the Print and Scan Doctor, it will diagnose the issue and might automatically resolve it. This software will also troubleshoot jobs stuck in the queue, which you could use in the future if the issue occurs again. What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor?     Is the printer connected wirelessly or wired?
    Go to Preferences and under categories go to > Convert to Pdf then select the Image Capture and then hit ok button.
    Close Acrobat and then relaunch it and see if it helps you while you do scanning.

  • I got my first Mac 2 weeks ago, a Macbook Pro. I can't get it to scan on my HP Laserjet1217 nfwMFP all in one. It prints (wirelessly) just fine. But when I try to scan, it says something like "no scanners available". Wireless or connected, it's the same.

    I have not been able to get my new Macbook Pro to scan, either wirelessly or connected, with my HP Laserjet all in one M1217 nfwMFP printer. It prints wirelessly just fine, but if I try to scan, I get the message that no scanners are found. The guy in the Apple store had it scanning just fine with a new HP printer he took out of the box. Any ideas would be appreciated.
