Scanning of my files

Hello
Kindly tell me hw cn I scan my media file and my camera pics on my torch 9810 without loss of data.

Sorry...still confusing...

Actually what exactly happened was, I have inserted a memory card in my phone to save some files in the internal memory.... And when I pulled it out, I was unable to acess my images, songs and other files......
Since you stored those files to "internal memory" (which I take to mean "Device Memory"), you naturally will still be able to access them on the device since they were not saved to the Media Card. So it's existence (the media card), for this situation, is irrelevant.

However when I connect my mobile with my lappy it shows the used space but there also doesn't show any file........
Via what method, please? Mass Storage Mode? The Desktop Software? Something else?

I think it can be a virus attack.....
Very doubtful...if so, it'll be the first of it's kind.

  • Malicious or not? Message popped up: Mozilla security found (something like too much, forget exact word) activity on your computer so it will do a fast scan of system file. With OK button.

    I was looking at youtube.com, which always tells me my browser is not supported and recommends I download Firefox, but that is what I was using, so I went to Firefox to check for updates. (I think I also had freecycle.org open.) Then this message popped up in a new page: Mozilla security found (something like "too much", forget exact word) activity on your computer so it will do a fast scan of system file. There was an OK button. The page address was: http://update17.stegner.ce.ms/index.php?Q7Lhl9ShbRxGJXpkM1VLSi4ZE8H4pTedoVPySgeppM3VpC+thEspcFG7qxHgn1pdsC2h5ygPGWI3t5hXqMzL9EQaZZ3J1e3CKXgCb0Qp. I did not click OK but copied the link and closed the window which closed the internet. I have never seen this before and would like to know if it is really Mozilla or possibly something malicious. Thank you.

    Good catch. That almost certainly is an invitation to download malware.
    There are a lot of infected web sites pushing "fake antivirus" software. If you have any doubts about whether your system might have become infected, you can supplement your regular security software with these two highly regarded scanners:

  • Scan to PDF files too large! - Why?? Solution for Windows - How about Mac? (HP-8630)

    Scanning a document to a PDF file of reasonable size has been addressed many times - it is always an issue! My wife is a realtor and frequently needs to scan multiple page documents. I found an actual solution last night:
    27 page letter-size B&W document - Scan to PDF on my HP-8630 AIO using HP software at 300dpi, small file size, BW: 27MB! Too big to email.
    Solution (in Windows 7 at least), if you have Adobe Acrobat:
    Open Adobe Acrobat, go to File Menu -  Create - PDF from Scanner - Configure Presets. Select and configure "Black and White Document":
    Select TWAIN device (NOT WIA) as the scanner; black and white, 300dpi, file size one notch to left (smaller) from center, check "optimize after scan". Select paper size and one- or two-sided scanning. Uncheck "make searchable". Save the preset. (The TWAIN driver was apparently installed with the HP installer, since I did not have to look for it.)
    After placing pages in the Doc Feeder,  go to File Menu, Create - PDF from Scanner - Black and White Document. Watch the magic!
    File size 768k!  Quality indistinguishable from the 27MB version, sharp and clear, all 27 pages! Really!
    Using the HP software, using a lower resolution or sliding the file size slider to smaller makes a muddy scan, and the file  is still huge compared to the Acrobat technique. MUCH worse quality than the Acrobat 768k version.
    Interestingly, using Acrobat to open the 27MB scan and "PRINT" it to the PDF Printer reduced the size to 10MB, with no change in appearance. "Save as smaller PDF" did not reduce the size further.
    What gives, HP?? What can Acrobat do  to scan from your AIO that you can't do?
    I tried on my Mac as well - we use both. No go. On Mac OSX 10.10.1 with latest HP drivers, Acrobat does not see any TWAIN or other driver from within the dialog box described above. Scanning from HP software again yields about 1MB per page.
    Anyone know how to make Acrobat see the scanner on Mac?

    Hi @JosephWit ,
    I see by your post that you are having issues with the PDF scanning size being too big. I will do my best to assist you with this issue.
    The drivers for 10.10 are installed by the Apple Updates. Did you install the 10.9 drivers or are did up run the Apple Updates to install the printer?
    Uninstall the 10.9 printer software and run the Apple Updates to install the proper drivers. Then you can scan with the Apple Software.
    Connect the printer to the Mac by a USB cable and run the Apple Updates to install the printer drivers.
    Go to the Apple, About this Mac, click on the Overview tab and select Software Updates.
    Go to the Apple, Printers and Scanners, delete the USB drivers and disconnect the USB cable.
    Then add the wireless printer as a Bonjour printer if the printer is networked.
    Click on the + sign, highlight the printer, below beside Use: make sure just the printer name is listed. (you might have to click on the drop down to select your printer from the list)

    any ideas?

    Error: "svr.VirusScanExecutionError"
    An intermittent problem with acrobat.com's underlying virus scan component causes this issue. This issue happens occasionally on a small number of server instances.
    The solution is to update the article again. Trying again typically routes you to a different host in the server array.

    Hello soussou97,
    My approach is to save the values of your first and second column (the columns you want to sort your values with) in ArrayLists and then use dynamic variables to save the actual content. Look at the following code. It should be able to display the information
    you need.
    #Specify the path of the excel file
    $FilePath = 'Path\file.xlsx'
    #Specify the Sheet name
    $SheetName = "Sheet"
    # Create an Object Excel.Application using Com interface
    $objExcel = New-Object -ComObject Excel.Application
    # Disable the 'visible' property so the document won't open in excel
    $objExcel.Visible = $false
    # Open the Excel file and save it in $WorkBook
    $WorkBook = $objExcel.Workbooks.Open($FilePath)
    # Load the WorkSheet 'BuildSpecs'
    $WorkSheet = $objExcel.sheets.item($SheetName)
    # I am taking row count as 2, because the first row in my case is header
    $intRow = 2
    [System.Collections.ArrayList]$farr = @()
    [System.Collections.ArrayList]$sarr = @()
    Do {
    # Reading the first column of the current row
    $First = $WorkSheet.Cells.Item($intRow, 1).Value()
    # Reading the second column of the current row
    $Second = $WorkSheet.Cells.Item($intRow, 2).Value()
    # Reading the third column of the current row
    $Third = $WorkSheet.Cells.Item($intRow, 3).Value()
    "First: " + $First
    "Second: " + $Second
    "Third :" + $Third
    if($farr -notcontains $First){
    $farr.Add($First)
    if($sarr -notcontains $Second){
    $sarr.Add($Second)
    $variable = Get-Variable -Name "$First-$Second" -Scope Global -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue
    if ($variable -eq $null)
    Write-Host "$First-$Second does not exist"
    New-Variable -Name "$First-$Second" -Value $Third
    else{
    $val = Get-Variable -Name "$First-$Second" -ValueOnly
    Set-Variable -Name "$First-$Second" -Value $val","$Third
    $intRow++
    }While ($WorkSheet.Cells.Item($intRow,1).Value() -ne $null)
    foreach($dec in $farr){
    foreach($city in $sarr){
    $variable = Get-Variable -Name "$dec-$city" -Scope Global -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue
    if ($variable -ne $null){
    $dec+"--"+$city+"--"+$variable.Value;
    my sample data looks like this

      • Scroll to the folder or file location where you want to place your desired file

  • Multi-page scanning to one file

    Scanner will not allow multiple page scans to one file from the glass.  A checkbox exists in advanced settings to create a separate file for each scan if checked.  However if left unchecked there is no button ("+", "add", "continue", etc.) on the screen to add more scanned pages to the file.  The checkbox makes no difference in advanced settings on the "file" tab.

    Hi, Yes, it has              Please scan from the printer software (ie from your computer). Regards.

    Scanning in both HP Officejet 7210 and Samsung printer - the document scans but no file is generated - any ideas how to fix this?  (It worked fine before installing Mavericks)

    PS: forgot to mention: if your printer is on your wifi network, you'll have to enter your wifi password on the printer to connect it to the network before Printers & Scanners will see it.
    Sometimes a reset of the wifi system is needed too. A full set of directions would be:
    Try:
    uninstall all printer manufacturer apps and "utilities"
    go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners > Print
    control-click on your printer in the column on the left
    select "Reset Printing System..." and "reset" in the dialog that follows
    do a factory reset on your printer. You'll have to consult the printer manual for how.
    power down everything: modem, router, computer, and printer
    power up each item in turn in the same order: modem, router, computer, and printer. Let each power up completely before moving on to the next
    enter your wifi password in your printer so it can connect to the network
    go back to printers & scanners and it should see your printer and download a driver for it from Apple
    resist the temptation to install any printer manufacturer apps in the future.

  • Want to scan to text file on hp oj8600, software indicates only pdf or jpg file creation

    want to scan to text file on hp oj8600, software indicates can do. However printer system software only allows pdf or jpg file type creation.

    Hello @Richf95,
    Welcome to the HP forums.
    I understand that you are trying to save scans as a text file.
    I would like to help.
    PDF has become the standard file type used when scanning/saving a document.
    Most printers will not have text as a default option.
    Try the following:
    Open the HP scan utility
    In the lower left hand corner select 'Create New Shortcut...'
    Name your new short cut. I went with Text.
    In the next window select the file tab.
    In the drop down menu, select Text.
    This should create a shortcut that will allow you to save scans as a .txt file.

  • Recently purchased a scanner which I connect my iPad to.  everything scanned goes into iPhoto. I purchased FileApp Pro to place scanned items into files. I still can't move the scanned items to a file.  Help!

    Scanning items into iPad. Scanned items go directly to iPhoto. Purchased FileApp Pro to create file folders on iPad. Still cannot move items from iPhoto to file folder.  Help?

    Is this a NAS type of setup (of which I know very little)?  Mine is not a response based upon strong technical knowledge but iTunes seems to have problems with those.  Just about everybody has issues with iTunes but you say it is not fit  for the purpose.  What is that?  I bet for 99% of people it does.  Not  everybody has 8TB collections they are trying to use with a RAID structured  external server. iTunes is really a mass consumer piece of software.  Yes, many people have expanded beyond internal drives, but NAS arrangements seem to add levels of complexity beyond a direct external drive that is Mac formatted and at most served by an Apple brand wireless router which I suspect is probably how everything is tested. Anything more is fortuitous in terms of support.  Except that you say the library files are on the external drive too it sounds to me like the server is asleep when you say it cannot find files and then suddenly can when you go to find one.

    Hi @JaneCat,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
    I understand that you cannot scan photos from your HP Photosmart 5510 to a file on your Mac running Yosemite. I am sorry to hear this, but I am happy to help!
    I would recommend downloading the full feature software and drivers from our website, HP Photosmart 5510 e-All-in-One Printer Full Feature Software and Drivers, as it is compatible with Mac OS X Yosemite.
    If you are still having issues, I would also recommend this scanning guide, A 'No computer found' Message Displays during Scanning. Then follow the steps for the section that says it is for, Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard, OS X v10.7 Lion, OS X v10.8 Mountain Lion, or OS X v10.9 Mavericks. As these steps will still work on Mac OS X Yosemite.
    I would also see this how to scan guide, Scanning with the Full Feature HP Software in OS X v10.10 Yosemite.
    Hope this information is helpful, and thank you for posting!
