The top listed error message are meaningless and not fatal.
Note that posting a couple of out of context messages is completely meaningless though. Please post the entire relevant, unedited snippets of the ccmsetup.log file.

  • Sccm Agent will not install via push on SCCM 2012 to computers that have sccm 2007 agents

I can not install the sccm 2012 agent on client computers via the push method or selecting the computers in a collection and clicking on install client nothing happens on the clients.
Also another problem is when i install the clients manually on the machines there is no site code and i can not "find site"
in both cases teh machines did have the sccm 2007 agent and were working fine on that.

1.make sure you have created the boundary group first. if you cant push the agent via push method, check the log files.
    2. also make sure that in your environment if you have a firewall then there are port need to be open for agent push.
    3. also if you have installed MacAfee agent on your client machine make sure the policies are not blocking file and print sharing.
    4. also the windows firewall need to open for file and print sharing of you are using push method.
did you try to push the agent via GPO?
IF not try to run the following script in one of the client machine. use this command in the command prompt.
in my case smssitecode is BLL
    MP is the management point.
    ccmsetup.exe SMSSITECODE=BLL /mp:sccmserver.contoso.com /source:\\sccmserver.contoso.com\sms_bll\client
run the above command in the command prompt of one of the client machine which you cant install the agent and see.

  • SCCM 2007 - Uninstall user rights installed program

We are facing some issue when we want to uninstall Programs in Windows 7 which have been installed with the logged on user’s rights.
We are using SCCM 2007 and have packages installing “Only when a user is logged on” and “Run with user rights”. We did this way package to run with user rights due to the application functionality.
But the problem comes when we try to Uninstall the current package, we run a vbs script with admin rights to uninstall the current version before the install of the upgraded version, the VBS scripts runs with admin rights and a result the can’t the application
under programs and features on the system.
When we run the .vbs script with user right it work for the only that user who had previously logged on to that pc, so if the second user logs on get error when uninstalling the pervious application as it was installed under his user rights.
I know this is a very tricky situation but can please help.

    Sabi

  • SCCM 2007: update fails, client cannot download

    Hi,
I have a specific update on SCCM 2007 for Windows 7 clients which clients don't seem to be able to download. It starts the install but fails directly (cannot download).Should I remove this update and redownload? Just right click and "download software
update" or really delete it? If deletion is necessary, how can I retrieve this upate then?
    How then?
    J.
    Jan Hoedt

1 patch took to long to install and that made installation think it failed. It was a non critical patch that solved the issue (we don't install non-critical patches normally that's why we did not notice)

  • Error deploying SCCM 2007 agent via GPO

GPO is setup correctly but noticed on the test machine which the GPO is linked I'm getting the following error message in the Application event log:
Product: SMS Client Setup Bootstrap -- A newer version of the SMS Client Setup Bootstrap is already installed.
The PC seems to have no issue receiving the agent via Push install. We've tried multiple steps to remove any bits and pieces of the agent left behind before trying the GPO to no avail. It's looking like the conditions have to be perfect in order for the
    GPO to work.
Does anyone know what's causing this error to appear? Is there a particular file, folder, or registry entry the MSI is looking for? Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
A simple GPO deployment will not interfere with those computers that already have the client installed.

  • SCCM 2012 SP1 fails to install OSD of Captured Image

I installed Windows Server 2012, Visual Studio Pro 2008, 2010, 2012 and SQL Server 2012 onto a machine. Configured the settings on Windows Server 2012 and SQL 2012 to how the Developers requested to be configured. Ran the Capture Media from SCCM 2012 SP1,
saved to the designated network share. Capture was successful.
I create a TS to deploy the image to the other Dev Servers but it reboots to say no valid operating system found. I checked Monitoring for the Deployment I see the Task sequence but has the following error: Device - Unknown, MessageID - 11170, Description
    - The task sequence manager could not successfully complete execution of the task sequence.
I see in the Apply Operation System from a captured image shows 1-1, 2-2, or 3-3. Does it matter which one I select and if so what does the numbers mean?
Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!!

    Hi Blacksuit,
Those numbers of the captured image stand for the indexes that are part of your WIM.  And yes, it does matter which one you select.  In the ConfigMgr console, go to your Software Library > Operating Systems > Operating System Images and select
the image you imported into ConfigMgr.  Then at the bottom, click the Details tab to display your indexes.  The index that contains your OS will have an OS Version and a description.  The other indexes will be data images and not contain any
information in the Details tab.  You'll need to choose the index (number) that contains the OS for the Apply OS step.  To apply the data image indexes, use the Apply Data Image task sequence step and specify the partitions to apply the images
too before the Apply OS step.
    Good luck!

  • SvcHost spikes to 60% with both McAfee Agent/SCCM 2007 Agent on Server 2008

Recently we have identified a thread spiking to 60% and causing the server is lock up.  We tracked it down to either the SCCM Agent or the McAfee Agent being the reason.  If we have McAfee on the server, everything runs fine.  if we have just
the SCCM Agent on it, everything is fine.  When we have both, the server process scream and eventually lock.  We have 45 othe machines with McAfe and SCCM on them and they are fine but this one partarticular server is not cooperating.  The significant
difference is we have the web services running on this machine.  I've found the article on "Virus scanning recommendations for Enterprise computers ..." and have implemented the full list of exceptions for scanning but still am seeing a ton
of CPU usage coming for a particualr thread.
I have a snippet from process explorer which shows  a thread of naPrdMgr.exe and 4 threads (all showing jobs) of WmiPrvSE.exe within the one particualar svchost.exe that is bangin around 60%.
Any suggestions on what to do; or where to look further would be greatly appreciated.

I'll tell you what I ended up doing.  Dropped McAfee and switched to Windows Defender.  All my CPU spikes went away and AFAIC all the anti-virus products live in the same space now and I don't see anything but a price associated with it.
So...instead of hammering a square peg through a round hole, I found it easier with less annoyance just moving to Windows Defender.  It comes with the MS OS platforms (or you can download it), works just as well as any other COTS offering (or Opensource
    one) and it's supported.
I get regular updates.  I can manage it with GPO's.  I could go on but after a year of using it, next place I'm contracted to I'm making a concerted effort to make sure it's in place.

I have run package to run aotumatically but  its not installed

Try restarting the machine once. If a reboot is pending on the machine from a previous application/patch installation (via SCCM), then new installations will wait until restart.

  • SCCM 2007 to SCCM 2012: Failed Packages are reinstalled ??

We're going to migrate SCCM 2007 to SCCM 2012 (side by side).
On SCCM 2007 we have (for example): Advertisement "ADV1" that execute program "Program1" of Package "Package1". (example....)
What happend if a computer "PC1" is migrated to SCCM 2012 when execution result of "ADV1" on SCCM 2007 was failed ??
    1) If I migrate only "Package001" and create a new deployment "Deploy1" to launch program "Program1" of Package "Package1 , by default, "PC1" is going to execute "Deploy1". I known it...
    2) If I migrate "Package001" and "ADV1".....Will "PC1" execute "ADV1" on SCCM 2012 ???? This is my question
    Thanks

Taken directly from Technet, Regards Damon.
    Will
advertisements rerun after they are migrated?
No. Clients that you upgrade from Configuration Manager 2007 will not rerun advertisements that you migrate. System Center 2012 Configuration Manager retains the Configuration
Manager 2007 Package ID for packages you migrate and clients that upgrade retain their advertisement history.

  • Batch file application fails to install

We have an SCCM application which fails to install.
It is packaged as a batch file which tuns an installshield exe install then a VBS script to remove unwanted shortcuts. The SCCM application fails with error code 1628 but running the batch file from the ccmcache as administrator it works as intended.
I think the Exe installs InstallShield first and then the application. It looks as though the application install doesn't run with sufficient privileges.
    "%~dp0Salud_1.20.0.15.exe" /z"/q /TSQL /SSALUDTESTDBITS /DSALUD_TEST"
    "%~dp0deletedesktopshortcut.vbs"
    Any clues appreciated.

Also, if you want to do this with a script, why don't you wrap the "Salud_1.20.0.15.exe" /z"/q /TSQL /SSALUDTESTDBITS /DSALUD_TEST" command to a single .vbs script that also includes the "deletedesktopshortcut.vbs" ? Doing stuff
in .bat and calling stuff is just bad... Way more cleaner to handle it all in a single script.
    Sample for the first part:
    strCommand = "Salud_1.20.0.15.exe /z/q /TSQL /SSALUDTESTDBITS /DSALUD_TEST"
    set WshShell = CreateObject ("Wscript.Shell")
    set objExec = WshShell.Exec(strCommand)
    Do While objExec.Status = 0
    Wscript.Sleep 100
    Loop
    Set WshShell = Nothing
Also note that the above handles only the running of your salud... -file, some additional debugging/logging would be good to add.
For the application just configure the install command: "cscript.exe yourcustomname.vbs" and the detection method you have to figure out by yourself.

  • Sccm 2007 wsus spk2 updated now missing FCS in products

I have a TESTLAB with SCCM 2007 that has been running fine and deploying Forefront Client Security. In SCCM under SUP I can see FCS in the products. I installed the kb2720211 WSUS SPK 2 update and things are doing fine. So I do the same thing
in production and upgrade to WSUS 3.0 SPK2. Then I saw where I need to install KB2734608 to be able to work with Windows 8 and 2012 SERVER from SCCM 2007. I only installed it in production not in TESTLAB, I guess I broke my rule there.  a week or two
go by and I notice that the FCS definitions stopped gong to windows 7 clients. Only have one Windows 8.1 in testing right now. not deployed in Production yet.
Now I go trouble shooting and on the TESTLAB I can go to SUP and configure my Classification and PRODUCTS, I can still see FCS in the software update point component listed in products. I can also open WSUS in TESTLAB from Admin tools but I know not
to manage products from here. On Production I do not see FCS anymore, it shows Microsoft Client Protection and Forefront Endpoint Protection 2012 in the SUP Products. My question is do I continue to move forward with upgrading TESTLAB and production to
use Forefront Endpoint Protection which I have not read how to upgrade yet? Or can I just uninstall the KB 2734608 and fix FCS for now?

Again the ONLY support report is to use the CM07 restore procedures. Will everything work after your restore? Who know as there is no way to know what the problem was/is. There
will be gotcha when you restore your CM07 site and they sometime will fix themselves and other times it is just faster to force them to work. As such, I ALWAYS recommend to my clients that if they ever have to restore their CM environment that they contact
CSS directly for support. This way CSS can ensure that the site is healthy and working correctly. There is No way to do that within the forums in any meaningful way.

  • SCCM 2012 and SCCM 2007 Shared Distribution Points

I am building a new SCCM 2012 site (primary and 4 secondaries) besides a SCCM 2007 site (primary, 3 secondaries and 65 DPs).
I migrated all objects from SCCM 2007 to SCCM 2012 which worked well.
I migrated a client from SCCM 2007 to my SCCM 2012 environment and that worked well. Then i push some packages from SCCM 2012 to my migrated client which worked as well either.
Then I switch on the SHARED DISTRIBUTION option in the migration section and now my migrated SCCM 2012 client only can access the SCCM 2007 DPs and packages from SCCM 2012 DP can't be accessed anymore...in Software Center the packages will stay at 0% downloading....
Is that normal behavior after enabling shared DPs ?

Did you ever find a solution for this? I am experiencing the same issue.
I have an IP address range boundary for testing SCCM 2012. After enabling shared distribution option SCCM 2012 migrated boundaries from SCCM 2007. My test IP address range boundary has two boundary groups... One is the SCCM 2012 Boundary group
pointing towards the SCCM 2012 DPs. The 2nd is the automatically created "Boundary Group for SCCM 2007 distribution point."
With both of those in there I can only push SCCM 2007 packages to the SCCM 2012 clients. SCCM 2012 packages come back in the logs as "Calling back with empty distribution points list." If I remove the automatically created "Boundary Group for SCCM 2007 distribution
point" from the test IP boundary then SCCM 2012 clients will properly download from the SCCM 2012 DPs, but now the SCCM 2007 packages fail to download to the SCCM 2012 test clients.
I assume I have some kind of boundary issue but am at a loss of resolving it. Either that or I have the shared dp concept down incorrectly. Shouldn't I be able to have a boundary that has SCCM 2012 clients that uses the 2012 DP for 2012 content but the 2007
DP for 2007 content while I am migrating?
    Thanks for any help

  • Updates failed to install after deployment - SCCM 2007

    Hi folks,
    I wonder could anyone help!
We deployed JAVA 7 U 45 last night using SCCM 2007 and most went out ok although some computers keep showing up the Config Manager – Available Software Updates and showing the status as failed.
Can someone please tell me how I get a list of the PCs that the update successfully went out to and was installed and how do I find out which computers failed to get the update or failed to successfully install it.
I see under Deployment Status machines targeted i.e. 50 and installed says 30 and failed says 5 but how do I actually see the computers for those categories?
I was looking in the event viewer on a PC I know had issues with the update and I can’t see any errors in the Setup log for the JAVA rollout using SCOM so wonder could you tell me the best way for me to see why the updates failed?
l final question is if I have multiple versions of Java on my PC how do I set which version I want as the default version for some applications to use as some applications need different versions of JAVA.
    Any advice greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Bonemister

Hello, we do not use SCCM for Windows updates but I think that error msg. Souns like your updates deadline is coming. You can choose the default client settings about the pop-ups and all. Check this article i think it is the: "Hide all deployments
from end users" This setting specifies that all deployments are hidden when they are received on client computers. Use this setting to deploy software updates to computers without any display notifications or notification area icons. Also, end users will
not be able to open the Available Software Updates dialog box to manually install updates. By default, this setting is not enabled. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb632393.aspx
EDIT: Also if you set an deadline for the advertisement you may see this error msg. You can adjust this by changing eather the advertisement (when you create it "display notifications") or if you want to supress all the notificatins you can just change
    the default agent settings.

Report CWERReporter finishing event handling. (00000000)

    Hi friend,
I like to answer on postings like yours, its a good exercise for my work and its really cool to have some topics where all people here will contribute.
JohnnyS is a friend of mine which is working with me at our office and we talked a little bit about your problem.
So his opinion was to use the UBCD4Win and work with that option.
    The advice of him was:
Grab a USB-HDD case and put one drive in it and boot with UBCD4Win. Then copy all important data to a folder on the external HDD and remove the uneeded data on it. Just the important data!
Make a backup of your data on the external drive from both HDDs. I hope you will have enough free space.
Format the drive in your machine and recover it. Install the system as usually on your first HDD.
Then put the data to where you want.
So I am not sure if I understanded your question right, a little bit more explanation would be useful. I think that will be a long thread. ;)

  • Crypt acquire context failed with 0x8009000f after upgrade from sms 2003 to SCCM 2007 SP1

    I've upgraded clients from SMS 2003 SP3 to SCCM 2007 SP1.
In the SCCM console some ressources are showing as not being client.
If I look on the machine, I can see that client is installed but the client cannot communicate with the management point.
CCMEXEC.log shows the following error message :
Crypt acquire context failed with 0x8009000f.
    Failed to create certificate 8009000f CcmExec 21/04/2009 9:49:10 1948 (0x079C)
    CCMDoCertificateMaintenance() failed (0x8009000f).
So, the issue is related to certificate
If I go to C:\documents and settings\all users\Application Data\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\MachineKeys and delete the file begining by  19c5cf... and then restart the client the problem is solved.
Can someone explain what is happening ?
What can I do to prevent this problem
    Kind regards

In Server 2008 R2 SP1 (when Pushing Out SCCM 2012 clients)
I just added another account to the security (local Administrators) for the key which starts with 19c5cf...
and restarted the SMS AGENT HOST SERVICE.
Thats also resolved the problem. (NETWORK was the only security account on the key file).
