Sccm 2012 DP failed to create iis virtual directories

I am trying to install a branch server as Sccm 2012 DP.
I already installed around 15 branch servers without any problems.
The problem I have is that the branch server failed to create iis virtual directories.
In my console under Monitoring, component status It writes that Distribution Manager successfully installed iis component of operating system to distribution point ""
Next it writes error to send packages to that branch server.
The site server distmgr.log shows the error below:
Failed to start primary service wdsserver
Microsoft Sql Server Native Client 11.0 login failed for user "xxx"
Failed to connect to the sql server connection type : SMS ACCESS
for Display = \\myserver\mswnet: sms_site= XXX  failed to get master SCF.
Currently site xxx is initializing site control data. Cant get Master SCF from database at this time. will try later.
DPConnection;;;; ConnectWMI() failed to connect to branch server.
I try to remove the dp role, leave it for 12 hours reboot the server and assign the role again but same problem.
Any idea ?

  • "Low Memory Warning" and "fails to create a virtual machine"

    From ide.conf, I learnt:
If you are getting the 'Low Memory Warning' Message Dialog while running JDeveloper, please increase the -Xmx value below from the default 768M to something greater, like 1024M or 1250M. If after increasing the value, JDeveloper is no longer starting up because it fails to create a virtual machine, then please reduce the modified -Xmx value.
    However,
If I set it to a bigger value, say 512M, it fails to create a virtual machine.
If I set it to a smaller value, say 400M, it throws Low Memory Warning after a short while.
So I do not know how to do. Total physical memory of my box is 4G. Free physical user memory after starting jdev is 1.5G.

512M isn't bigger, the default (according to your reading) is 768M...
I just tried with JDeveloper 11.1.2.2.0 (64-bit machine, but using 32-bit JVM) - works fine with 1024M - just to confirm that my changes are working, 5024M does give me "unable to create virtual machine"
Have you messed about with other settings?

    Hello Max,
many thanks for your reply and your in my case absolutely correct answer!
In respect to your solution proposal I have renamed my Analysis-workspace folder to "Analysis-workspace-V0"
After I have started the Design Studio 1.2 SP1 a new Analysis workspace folder was created with the typical standard name "Analysis-workspace"
So I have my old Design Studio Application and an new empty Analysis folder.
By the way, in my case in addition to the folder rename it was necessary to change the -Xmx Value (SapDesignStudio.ini File) a little bit lower as in standard (in the DS1.2 SP1 setting) 1024m. To become not the Message "Failed to create Java Virtual Machine" I have changed the -Xmx Value from 1024m to 512m.
Now I´m able to start the Design Studio 1.2 SP1 as expected without Message and without breaks down after 5-6 seconds during the startup.
    Thanks again!
    Best regards,
    Michael

  • Failed to create Java Virtual Machine

    Hi All,
I am facing Failed to create java virtual machine error in SAP Lumira 1.23 while opening it.
I need to uninstall it and install again whenever I want to use it. but this is not correct solution of it.
Please suggest the solution for this issue.

Good morning, Sheetal - We had the same problem. We have a number of Windows 7 32-bit PCs. I opened a message with SAP, and here is their guidance. If you look at Note 2124755, it will refer you to another note, Note 1951035. IN this note, it says you need to download the Java Access Bridge for Microsoft Operating System 2.01 from Oracle. The URL is in the Note 1951035. I downloaded the one for the manual installation. Then, once you have extracted the files from the ZIP file, here is where I placed them:
    Copy WindowsAccessBridge.dll to %WINDOWSHOME%\SYSTEM32
    Copy JavaAccessBridge.dll and JAWTAccessBridge.dll to
    C:\Program Files\SAP Lumira\Desktop\jre\bin
    Copy accessibility.properties to C:\Program Files\SAP Lumira\Desktop\jre\lib
    Copy access-bridge.jar and jaccess-1_2.jar, jaccess-1_3.jar and jaccess-1_4.jar to
    C:\Program Files\SAP Lumira\Desktop\jre\lib\ext
For good measure, I usually reboot the PC afterwards. Then you should no longer get the error message "Failed to create the Java Virtual Machine".
    I hope that helps!

  • SCCM 2012 SP1 fails to install OSD of Captured Image

I installed Windows Server 2012, Visual Studio Pro 2008, 2010, 2012 and SQL Server 2012 onto a machine. Configured the settings on Windows Server 2012 and SQL 2012 to how the Developers requested to be configured. Ran the Capture Media from SCCM 2012 SP1,
saved to the designated network share. Capture was successful.
I create a TS to deploy the image to the other Dev Servers but it reboots to say no valid operating system found. I checked Monitoring for the Deployment I see the Task sequence but has the following error: Device - Unknown, MessageID - 11170, Description
    - The task sequence manager could not successfully complete execution of the task sequence.
I see in the Apply Operation System from a captured image shows 1-1, 2-2, or 3-3. Does it matter which one I select and if so what does the numbers mean?
Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!!

    Hi Blacksuit,
Those numbers of the captured image stand for the indexes that are part of your WIM.  And yes, it does matter which one you select.  In the ConfigMgr console, go to your Software Library > Operating Systems > Operating System Images and select
the image you imported into ConfigMgr.  Then at the bottom, click the Details tab to display your indexes.  The index that contains your OS will have an OS Version and a description.  The other indexes will be data images and not contain any
information in the Details tab.  You'll need to choose the index (number) that contains the OS for the Apply OS step.  To apply the data image indexes, use the Apply Data Image task sequence step and specify the partitions to apply the images
too before the Apply OS step.
    Good luck!

  • Upgrade to SCCM 2012 R2 Failed - Can I Simply Move SCCM Database to Replacement SCCM 2012 R2 System?

I started with SCCM 2012 RTM and attempted an upgrade to SCCM 2012 R2.  The upgrade failed and left the the system unusable.  I was able to recover the entire system (single server) from backup.
Rather than risk another failed upgrade can I simply build a new server and move the existing SCCM database to a new SCCM 2012 R2 system?

  • TWO IIS virtual directories for TWO WebLogic Instances

I have an IIS website with one IIS virtual directory which is using iisproxy.dll
to redirect the request to a weblogic instance.
Now, I would like to create another virtual directory which has to redirect to
another weblogic instance (with different port). How can I do that? I have tried
to create another copy of iisproxy.dll & iisproxy.ini but that new website still
forward the request to the old website. Please advice.
    Many thanks.
    Ronald

    Hi Ronald
This is not possible with existing weblogic releases.
However There are couple of workarounds for this.
    1. Setup two IIS Sites forwarding requests to two weblogic servers.
Make sure The IIS sites are running with Application Protection of
    High(Isolated).
Make sure the iisproxy.ini and iisproxy.dll for theses different sites
    are in different
diectories and configure the sites and iisproxy.ini files appropriately.
    - This, i tries and works great.
    2. Let All the requests go to one weblogic server. Register a servlet
with you'r second virtual directory name as a proxy servlet proxying to
    the second
    weblogic server.
    - This might work. But you have to remeber the performance impact of
    proxying twice.
    Hope this helps

  • Exchange Server IIS Virtual Directories

    Hi Guys,
I need to remove all the directories from Exchange CAS Server except the directories are required for ActiveSync. can someone give me the direction about the directories are not required for ActiveSync.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards
    Rishi Aggarwal
    Regards Rishi Aggarwal

my client made a decision about removing external OWA but ActiveSync. so looking what are the Exact directories are required for ActiveSync so except that i can remove every directory.
    Hi,
    OWA works only internally,
ActiveSync works both internally and externally, right?
I would suggest to create a new website with a unique IP in IIS and only adding ActiveSync to that website using a cmdlet. That would give us a website hosted on the box that served the ActiveSync devices but nothing else, leaving the OWA open for internal
access. The firewall would point to this website/IP on the CAS. We could also create a virtual directory under there for /OWA and /Exchange which would serve up the generic “this service is no longer available, please contact the help desk” message as the
default webpage. This makes it easy to manage, monitor, and control traffic to.
Command to create a new Active Virtual directory:
    New-ActiveSyncVirtualDirectory -WebSiteName "domain.com"

  • Windows IIS virtual directories

I'm setting up CPS and Contribute 3 on a large site. Users in
different departments have access to specific folders that contain
their pages. What I can't seem to be able to do is to add virtual
directories to the users' list of folders to edit (though I really
just want them to be able to link to files in those virtual
directories). The virtual directories contain document libraries
(agendas, minutes, reports, media releases) that are maintained by
another system, so it seemed like a good idea to keep those folders
out of the root folder of the site that the CPS manages. But those
virtual directories don't show up in the list of folders to allow
users to edit. Has anyone run into this problem and found a way
around it? I could just drop the virtual directory idea if that's
    the only way.

    Hi,
If NDES is the only CA role service on this server, this problem is expected. Because NDES requires the installation of the Certification Authority Web Enrollment role service on the same Server.
The Certificate Authority Web Enrollment pages are needed since the NDES IIS application is a virtual directory underneath the Web Enrollment pages (CertSrv).
    Hope this helps.

  • (Solved) Issue with 2012 & 2012 r2...Creating New Virtual Desktop Collections Fails

Hi all, thought I would share a fix I found out after hours of pulling my hair out.
If you get the following error when creating a new RD Collect: "The virtual desktop must be in a stopped state: Could not identify the state of the virtual desktop. Ensure that the RD virtualization host server is available on the network and
the virtual desktop is shut down"
ENSURE your RD Connection Broker and RD Virtualization Host are both either 2012 or 2012 r2.  I was unable to create new VD Collections until I moved my Connection Broker from a 2012 box, to a 2012 r2 box. (My RD Virt Host is 2012 r2.) Once I did that,
    everything worked fine.

    Hi,
    Thanks for your good sharing.
I think it will help the people who have the same issue.
    Have a nice day.

  • SCCM 2012: USMT Failing

I am still new to SCCM, and we have 2012 SP1 environment.  While attempting to deploy a new device, I ran a Capture Only task sequence (TS) on the old device after setting up a side-by-side association. The current progress in ConfigMgr shows as "in
    progress".
Next, on the newly imaged device, I added it to at RestoreOnly TS and kicked it off, but it fails with a generic error 0x00004005 after installing. This seems like a rather generic error. This is also my first time using this feature, so I do not know the
    last time it was working.
This error has popped up on a second device when attempting to perform the capture only TS. I am attempting to find a way to troubleshoot this but can't find the applicable status message query. So, I suppose my question is has anyone come across this error
before?  Can someone point ime n the right direction to troubleshoot this?

    Hi,
Is there any relevant error in loadstate.log on the client?
It records details about the User State Migration Tool (USMT) and restoring user state data.
Also, I recommend you check the permission of the resource folder when you are ready to run restore TS.

  • SCCM 2012 OSD Fails After Formatting and Partitioning Disks

    Hello,
The problem is that when I deploy the task sequence to a computer, it loads to WindowsPE properly, then continues to formatting the hard disk and partitioning. After it has finished partitioning it then goes to the applying
the operating system portion of the task sequence. Finally it errors out with "...Image has failed with the error code (0x80070002)...". What is left on the WinPE is two log files in the SMSTSLog directory, smsts.log and wpeinit.log. Neither of these
seemed to show anything blatantly obvious to me, but I'm sure there is still some funny things happening.
This is my first time posting to a help forum of any kind so any constructive criticism is very welcome! Thanks for helping in advance, since SCCM has probably been the most challenging software I have had to setup. I
    definitely need the help.
Apparently I can't just throw in all of my logs at once, so I shortened the smsts.log and removed the wpeinit.log. So just say if you need them I guess.

It's probably your network access sccount!<o:p></o:p>
"To configure the Network Access Account, open the CM2012 R2 console, click on Administration,
    expand Overview, expand Site Configuration,
click Sites, on the top ribbon click Configure
    Site Components, click Software Distribution.<o:p></o:p>
Click on the tab Network Access Account,
choose Specify the account that accesses network locations (by default the option is set to Use
the computer account of Configuration Manager client). Click on the orange icon and add the user account that enough permissions to access the content which is required
    while deploying Operating System."<o:p></o:p>
This account should have the minimum appropriate permissions on operating system deployment content it needs to access. This account
is important because the computer receiving the operating system does not have a security context it can use to access content on the network.<o:p></o:p>

  • SCCM 2012 use PowerShell to create a GlobalCondition, limiting the Deployment Type of an Application to certain operating systems.

    Title says it all basically.
In the GUI im able to create a Global Condition (condition type: Expression) where I can add a clause that Limits the deployment type of an application to certain operating Systems (useful for deploying 64-bit apps).
Is there away to Trigger that Setting using PowerShell? So far I haven't found one.
    Thx in advance...

I changed my script a little bit and can be found Here.
An example to use it is:

  • Upgrade to SCCM 2012 R2 Fails by ADD SQL ACCOUNT

    Hello,
im Testing Today the Upgrade to R2.
in  Step to Upgrade the Database  I become an Error xxx\Compuertname not found to add SQL Account
My Server name is xxx.de\computername an not xxx\computername (netbiosname with dot and same with DNS Name) .
Have anywhere an Idea as Workaround for me ?

    Microsoft support were no help...
I found a couple work arounds:
Move the database to the site server, do the upgrade, move the database back to the database server
    Hack the DB:
create a login with a valid user account on the master DB on the SQL server
    stop the sql server
Start SQL in single server mode
From an elevated cmd (Run as administrator), access the right folder where sqlservr.exe executable is located and execute below commands. Normally you will find it at “C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL[InstanceName]\MSSQL\Binn”
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10_50.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\Binn>sqlservr.exe -m
start SSMS in DAC mode: start SSMS, cancel the connection to the server, click on the
Database Engine Query icon (to the right of the new query button),and put admin: in front of the server name
    run the following:
    select @@servername
    GO
    use master
    GO
    sp_configure 'allow updates', 1
    GO
    reconfigure with override
    GO
    then do this:
    update
    master.sys.server_principals
    set master.sys.server_principals.name
    = 'domain\servername$'
    where master.sys.server_principals.name
    = 'domain.com\dummyaccount'
    restart the sql server
    upgrade SCCM
keep in mind i am currently testing this solution to make sure it doesn't cause issues
