SCCM 2012 - How to change time, UTC

Hi I wonder how I change SCCM 2012 time ?
When I get a mail about virus/malware -->
Detection time(UTC time): 4/3/2013 8:59:43 AM
The time appear wrong, 2 hours after...

I know the time is displayed in UTC and it can't be changed. I know that there are several feedbacks on connect to get that changed.

Any movement on this front...I see my Deadline as UTC in the console. Very confusing and just needs to be fixed. Only people that are actually global organizations would have any need for UTC as the main time. We are not, so just an inconvenience.

you need to choose the second option .
First option will remove all the domains users from the local administrator group available in all the PC'S .Then local administrator group will only have the users updated on the members list present in group policy.
Note : Local admins accounts on the local administrators groups will not be removed.
Second option will add the newly created group to the local administrator group in all the PC'S and it will not remove the existing members in the local administrators group.
Step 1 : Just try to create one new group for SCCM management .
Step 2 : Then add the SCCM account to that group.
Step 3 : Then please create a new group policy on that just choose the second option.On that option just add the newly created group to be an member of administrator group in all the PC'S
Why i have asked you to create a new group ?
Because in second option , we don't have a option to add a individual user .
Once you have created a group policy it will like below snap.
As an additional i will tell how to find the newly created group policy is applying to computer objects or not ans also i will tell you how to force update the group policy
1.gpresult /r ----> To find the which group policy is applying on user and computer object .
2.rsop.msc ----> There you can able to find the change has been applied or not .
3.gpupdate /force -----> Forcefully updating the group policy in a client machine
4.In gpmc.msc there is one option called group policy results .That option will be used for centralized management to find the policies that are applied to a user and computer account.
5.Just check the event viewer in all the PC'S for group policy related events.
Most importantly you need to make sure all the computer accounts are placed in an ou ,where the newly created group policy is applying and also make sure that OU doesn't contain any inheritance block.

SCCM 2012 - how can i make it alert in SCOM if a deployment fails

Can anyone suggest a post or tell me how to get alerts in SCOM when a deployment from SCCM 2012 fails?
The situation is we deploy Microsoft patches on a monthly basis to all workstations in the company, I want an alert in SCOM if the deployment fails to a particular workstation to ensure that we are aware of them and can fix them.

It's possible the first one is damaged, but that seems unlikely, unless you turned the TC or Mac off while it was trying to do a backup. I assume connecting iMac to time cap via Ethernet cable would not be a problem?
Correct. Doing the first, full backup via Ethernet is recommended.
Also if just turning time machine off is enough to disrupt time capsule backups how about turning the iMac off, which I will have to do once in a while.
Neither should be a problem, unless a backup is in progress and either the TC or Mac is shut down abnormally.

First a short summary:
We would like to use a third party product to analyze data (DeltaMaster from Bissantz). This product uses the XMLA interface provided by Analytic Provider Service. Mostly the connection works, I can choose one of our cubes, sometimes a drill down is possible, but sometimes the following error occurs:
"Microsoft.AnalysisServices.AdomdClient.AdomdErrorResponseException: (1042006): Network Error [10061] Unable To Connect To [entwgdw.hres.de:33769]. The client timed out waiting to connect to the Essbase Agent using TCP/IP. Check youer network connections. Also please make sure that Server and Port values are correct [...]"
I have already talked to the Bissantz support concerning this issue and the recommended me to increase the APS time out settings and/or to disable the automatic disconnect between APS and essbase server after every query.
The question is: Is this possible and if yes: How and where can I change these settings???

You could look at updating the essbase.properties file in the APS installation directory.
olap.server.netRetryCount=600
olap.server.netConnectRetry=3
olap.server.netDelay=200
olap.server.netSocketTimeOut=200
Update then restart APS
Though this might not be the issue if on windows, it may be down to the amount of ports being used, have a read [here |http://timtows-hyperion-blog.blogspot.com/2007/12/essbase-api-error-fix-geeky.html ] for a possible fix.

How to change Time Zone rules in CPS for Russia

Hi
Coming up to DST change this weekend 30th Oct we found that Russia is not changing their time anymore for the first time ever
Were based in the UK but we have jobs scheduled for Europe/Moscow time which is set at +3 hours after the clocks going back this weekend Europe/Moscow will be +4 hours
But Russia is not set to change their timezone anymore, but CPS will still make the change which I dont want anymore.
Timezones are listed under Environment - Timezone but the only thing you can edit is the description.
How do I go about removing DST from the Europe/Moscow time zone?
we still want to use Europe/Moscow for certain jobs.

Hello,
Russia is cutting back on the number of timezones these years and also changing their definitions.
The timezones are maintained in the Java JVM you are using. To make sure you have the latest definitions make sure you have patched your JVM with the correct timezone definitions.

We are using Project Online. and the time displayed eg., Job Queue, is 3 hours behind. ie., it is displaying Pacific time, but we are in the Eastern Time zone. Can we change it? If so how?

There are certain areas in Project Online that will display the time zone incorrectly. All you can do is change the Regional Settings for the PWA site collection but that will not update all times as you have seen. I'm not sure if this is something
that will be resolved in the near future or not. It might be worth you opening a support ticket via the Office 365 tenant so that all the requests can officially be logged / tracked.

Hey enzol,
You have a couple options for doing this. You could use a time server and SNTP to have your real-time target (myRIO in this case) connect to a time server at boot and update its clock.
More along the lines of what you're asking (I think) you can use the NI System Configuration API to update the time from LabVIEW. I created an example that demonstrates how to use a battery powered RTC (real time clock) to update the myRIO system time. You can find the code attached. Just ignore the RTC bit if you want to manually enter the current time.

How to change time view?

How can I show only 08:00-20:00 in day/week mode? I just want to see only 08:00-20:00 time frame. Now iCal shows always 00:00-00:00. This isn't possible thing in iCal now?

Go in under iCal and select preferences.
Under General, change the time settings to:
Day start at: 8.00 and Day end at: 20.00
Then select Show/12 hour/ at the time
That should do it.
But before you close the iCal General window go in under advanced and un-click the checkbox: Turn off alarms when ical is not on.
Otherwise you will not receive alarms when iCal is closed.

Hammer USB HD timing out. How to change time out value?

My new Hammer USB 500 Gig portable hard drive does not mount. USB probe log gives these error message:
33.929 [1] AppleUSBEHCI[0x177d800]::Found a transaction which hasn't moved in 5 seconds on bus 91, timing out!
68.941 [3] AppleUSBHub[0x17a4400]::TimeoutOccurred error
The drive mounts on an iMac running Mac OS X 10.5, but neither Finder nor Disk Utility can see the drive on my Powerbook running 10.4.11.
Hammer tech help says the drive takes as much as 7 minutes to mount. I did notice that it took some time on the iMac.
Any ideas? Can I change the time out constant somehow?
By the way the drive requires more than 500 miliamps to start up. I have a double USB cable that does bring the drive up, but my Powerbook won't mount it.

Self powered USB drives are a big problem, I think the only answer is a Powered USB Hub.

In 2007 sccm I have the option to create a colecion for computers that non-compliance with the configuration of DCM.
How I can create a colecion based on whether the computer is compliance or non-compliance with the compliance settings?

You can still do this in CM12. Navigate to the Baseline deployment, select the deployment and look at the Ribbon or right click the deployment.
