Hi,
Please check the similar thread below that is a Group Policy issue.

our group policy is allowing only the local administrator to access the network , so the normal user will  not able to access the machine even the sccm remote tools member

  • SCCM 2012 Remote Control Viewer - Multiple Session

    Hello Guys,
We have faced one issue that there have only one session can be connected if we are using the SCCM 2012 remote control viewer. The problem is that we have two support team may require to remote the same desktop in the same time via the remote control viewer.
Do anyone know how we can activate more session for remote control viewer in SCCM 2012?
    Thanks,
    SCCM users

FYI – If you need to have 2 technicians remoted into the same device, we found a workaround, this works with SCCM 2012 SP1 CU3, and Windows 7 clients.
For tech1, using the ConfigMgr console, right-click the device, Start -> Remote Control
For tech2, using the ConfigMgr console, right-click the device, Start -> Remote Assistance

  • Allowing the domain users Group to SCCM 2012 Remote Control

    Hi There,
been working on this issue for the last few days now and its frustrating the crap out of me. My company has requested for all Domain users to be allowed to Remote Control to everyone's computer. This is so that users will be able to show each other how to
use in house application. In SCCM 2012 console, I've added the Domain users to the Premitted viewer tab. I've also added the domain user group to the administrative user section, added the Remote operator role and assigned the
ALL security scope to it. On another machine, i run the CMRCviewer to this machine and it prompts for username advising me the one i provided isn't authorized. when i check on the targeted machine, i can see domain users populated in the ConfigMgr
    remote control user group
It seems only domain admins have rights to Remote control in. i've only got one client setting defined (default policy).
the interesting thing is the following layout
WINDOWS XP ---> WINDOWS 7      prompts for username
WINDOWS 7 -----> WINDOWS XP  works
WINDOWS XP -----> WINDOWS XP  works
WINDOWS 7 ------> WINDOWS 7     prompts for username

  • SCCM 2012 Remote Control - Can't use Mouse

Not sure if there's a setting somewhere or what but this is strange.
When I'm in SCCM and I right Click a PC and choose Start / Remote Control, everything works fine while I'm logging in.  I can click in the Username and password fields, click OK to our disclaimer, etc.
However, once I get logged in, the mouse stops functioning and I can only use the keyboard.  I can't click to open programs, close programs, or anything else.
Anyone experienced this before and have any idea what the cause might be?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Have you tried to Remote Control on another client? Still same issue?

  • SCCM 2012 Remote Control - from Queries

Hopefully I can find out what's going on with my query configuration.
I've created some Queries for my Help Desk personnel.  When using the default "Last Logged On User" query, It gives me the results for the user's computer, but when right-clicking on the computer the option for "Remote Control" is greyed out.
Resource Explorer and the others are available and work properly, just not Remote Control.  However when I view any of the collections, Remote Control works perfectly.  For now, my guys are running the queries, recording the computer name, then searching
the collections.  Even as a Full Administrator I experience this.  Any suggestions or possible items I have not enabled?
    Thanks for any info.
    Charlie Hawkins

    Same issue here.
I have completely customized my columns it to add lots of useful information from different class and now EVERYTHING is grayed out.
so I tried all of your suggestions, and some functions did come back. not all.  However, now the Queries are useless to me.  I need to see the model of the computer, last logon user, last heart beat, install date, OS name that's not a number
but the Caption that says Windows 7 instead of 6.1 that makes sense to the upper management etc.
so, I took the original out of the box query that works perfectly fine and once I added "SMS_G_System_COMPUTER_SYSTEM.Model"  , it broke the query.
I see this as design flaw of Microsoft and reported to be looked at.  or am I wrong?
    any ideas?

  • Apple Remote won't work with Non-admin account :-(

    Hi all,
i have a Macbook (OS version 10.5.4). Earlier there was only one account on this laptop, and i was using it as an administrator. A few days ago i decided to convert that account to a regular (non-admin) one, and created a separate admin-only account. When i tried using my Apple Remote in the non-admin account, it wouldn't work at all ! So i tried it in the admin account, and i was able to use it and paired it with this macbook.
But on logging back into the regular account, it has stopped working again (even though System Preferences>Security says the macbook is paired with a remote). Please help!! It would be especially helpful if this could be fixed without having to create & migrate to a whole new account, etc... i'm open to command-line solutions [ that won't crash the machine ]
    Thanks a million !
    ..meghana

Never mind. i logged out of the non-admin account and into the admin account, unpaired and re-paired the remote. Then logged back into the non-admin account, and voilà! Its magic i tell you! hope this helps any other people who have the same problem.

  • Remote Control with Touch Screen Devices

I have encountered some trouble using CM's Remote Control with touch-enabled devices. It seems that the cursor on my screen thinks that it is in a different place than the cursor on the remote screen.
Both devices have been Dell Latitude E-series laptops. It is possible that this is isolated to these. Has anyone else encountered this? Remote Assistance seems to work fine, but that lacks in so many other ways compared to Remote Control.
This is using Remote Control with SCCM 2012 R2 just to clarify in case there are any differences between the various CM versions.
    Any input would be appreciated.

We use ELO touch screens and some Dell Venue 11 Pro Tablets, and I haven't experienced any of the problems that you are talking about...
I know that's not helpful but thought I'd throw my experiences in.

  • Dreamweaver CS5 will not open. It shows the splash screen and terminates with non admin login

Dreamweaver CS5 will not open. It shows the splash screen and terminates with non admin login but works fine with admin login.
    OS - WinXP Sp3
    Things I tried.
    1) Gave full rights on dreamweaver folder in program files.
    2) Disabled welcome screen
    3) Updated to Dreamweaver CS5 11.0.4
    4) Reinstalled
    5) Formated PC
    But issue persists, please help.

Have you tried deleting or renaming the Dreamweaver configuration file?
    See http://forums.adobe.com/thread/494811
This can solve many problems and create one in that any snippets that are installed are lost, but you can get them back. Instead of deleting the config file, just name it config.old. When your system is working, just copy the snippets from the .old file to the new one.

  • Service Manager 2012 Remote Control

    Hello
Is there a way to integrate ConfigMgr 2012 Remote Control to Service Manager 2012 task? I have configured Remote desktop and remote assistance but, my customer specifically looking ConfigMgr 2012 Remote Control.

    Hi Manoj,
Yes, when you create a new task under Library > tasks, fill in the general information such as the Task Name, Target Class, and Management Pack. Optionally, you may select categories to add the task to be displayed in certain places in the console. When
you fill in the full path to the command line, ensure that the machines that are running the service manager console have access to this path. If Configuration Manager is installed on the computer(s) running the Service Manager Console, you may fill in the
path as C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Configuration Manager\AdminConsole\bin\i386\CmRcViewer.exe. You also have to option to insert a parameter or working directory as well if you choose to. For example, if you would like the parameter to be the Windows
Computer IP address, you may enter the following:
    $Context/Path[Relationship='CustomSystem_WorkItem_Library!System.WorkItemAboutConfigItem' TypeConstraint='CustomMicrosoft_Windows_Library!Microsoft.Windows.Computer']/Property[Type='CustomMicrosoft_Windows_Library!Microsoft.Windows.Computer']/IPAddress$
Another way to set this parameter would be by selecting Insert and selecting the property for IP Address.
Once the task has been created, you can verify it is working properly by navigating to the class/categories you have chosen and it should be listed by the Task Name you entered.

  • SCCM 2012 R2 Installation with Remote SQL Instance

I am trying to install SCCM 2012 R2 and during the install it asks for your SQL Server Name.  I have a remote SQL Server which I can ping all day but the installation is telling me "The network path was not found".  I turned the firewall
off on the SQL Server and the install proceeded to the next step so that told me it was a firewall issue.
On my SQL Server I opened the following ports but still the install doesn't get through until I completely disable the firewall.
    TCP and UDP 1434
    TCP and UDP 1433
    80
    443
    TCP and UDP 135
    TCP and UDP 2383
    TCP and UDP 2382
    TCP and UDP 4022
I know this is a little excessive but its ports I've seen suggestions for to open but I'm out of ideas.  I even tried suggestions from earlier posts by Jason Sandy's to setspn and I've verified it is correct with setspn -L but still nothing.  Any
suggestions on what ports are needed during install?  As mentioned, firewall off it works great but as soon as firewall is turned on (even with ports open above) I get no where.
Be kind and Mark as Answer if I helped.

Thanks for everyone' reply's.  It is using the default instance (i'm leaving the field blank as it specifies).  I have checked SQL Server Manager and ensured that under TCP/IP and the IP Address's tab that all the IP1, IP2, IP3, IPALL has nothing
(not even a 0) in TCP Dynamic Ports and the TCP port is specified as 1433 for all those.  I even made ODBC connections that "tested successfully" to the remote sql server.  I'm just confused.
I tried netstat and didn't get any viable results but maybe i'm missing a switch.  With firewall on or off during installation it was making established connections to ports  49320, 49321, 49322, 49323, 49254, 49278, 49302, 49220, 49223, 49224,
49259, 49262, 49263, 49295, 49304, 49332, 49154 and so on.  Obviously I don't think these are relevant and just normal chatter between the two servers.  Its on a VM so i snapshotted the SQL and CM box before the install so I'm able to revert back
(or even reload both boxes if necessary).  I'm going to try a few more things but any more suggestions are more than welcome.
Be kind and Mark as Answer if I helped.

  • SCCM 2012 Site Design with multiple agency seperation

I have read through some of the other posts, and none quite seem to match my scenario.
I have a new task to design a new SCCM 2012 Site. At first I thought this was going to be easy, but it seems to have become a bit of a challenge. I have been tasked with designing and implementing a site for about 45k clients that span about 25 agencies.
all of these machines are part of a top level AD forest, but are broken into domains under that. The forest admins have to be able to mandate software/updates from the top level for all machines, but each agency will have to manage their own machines/content.
If it wasn't for the political aspect of this project, everything would be easier.
I originally thought about a CAS/PS scenario, but when I tested this, I found that every PS connected to the CAS shares everything between each other, and that will not work.
So I need to be able to design a site where each agency will be able to create/manage their own content/machines that is not shared with everything else. They need to have a feeling like they are managing their own PS. And need to have a top level that can
mandate software/updates to everything and also get a complete inventory of all machines in all agencies. Can this be done with RBA and a single site, or is there a better option for this?
At this point there is no need to consider bandwidth because most of the systems are on the same campus network, and remote DPs and other site systems can be added and adjusted as needed. I just need to know if and how this can be done best.
Please let me know if you need anymore information.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

    Hi,
Here is a good guide explaining RBA,

and here is a good one deploying RBA:

  • Screen sharing to OS X Lion Server with non-admin account

I have set up a Lion Server with one admin (in addition to the root user) and several non-admin normal accounts. In Server.app, I have enabled remote login with ssh, and remote management via screen sharing.  I am unable to use Screen Sharing to connect to the server from the non-admin accounts, but able to use the admin account. I've read that it is only enabled for admin users, but need to access from non-admin accounts, and I can't add these accounts to the admin group. Is there a way to do this with Workgroup Manager? I tried changing the Remote Management settings in System Preferences by adding the non-admin, but when selecting 'Observe' and 'Control' in the options for the user, they are not saved.

I resolved this issue by deselecting the "Enable screen sharing and remote management" in Server.app and going to System Preferences, Sharing Preferences, Screen Sharing, and allowing access for "All Users".  If you have some users you want to allow VNC, you can create a group, add the allowed users to the group, and add the group under "Only these users".
