SCCM client didn't receive available software in software center
Hi,
I am going to deploy an msi package and choose "available" as purpose.
When I create the package using "Application" under Application management, and deploy it to a device collection, SCCM client didn't receive available software in software center.
I tried the similar step on "Packages" under Application management, there is available software shown up in client's software centre.
Would you identify what the problem is for "Application" under Application management?
Or any SCCM server or client log I have to look into to gather more information for investigation?
Thanks
please check below logs on client system:

Clients not showing apps in software center after update to CU4
I recently upgraded my SCCM2012 SP1 to CU4 in an effort to support our Macs some of which are running Mavericks. However, I have been noticing that many times when I do an OSD of a Windows computer one of a couple things will happen. If it is a computer
that is being re-imaged, it will only get a single app installed and no other apps will show up in Software Center. I also just today got a new computer and most of our apps are in SC but several are missing. They show up in the console as being deployed to
the machine in it's properties under Devices, but they just aren't getting to the computer. On the re-image computer many times I could just remove it entirely from SCCM then re-add it and it would work fine but with the new computer I'm at a loss as to what
to do. Has anyone else seen this behavior? Is the device stuck in provisioning mode? That would block it from getting client policy (among other things).
To check, see ProvisioningMode = True under the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\CCM\CcmExec registry key.
This usually happens if an unsupported update gets installed while in the task sequence:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2894518/en-us
You can fix a broken client with this PowerShell command:
Invoke-WmiMethod -Namespace root\CCM -Class SMS_Client -Name SetClientProvisioningMode -ArgumentList $false
To keep them from breaking, use offline servicing to inject the updates into all of your images so they don't get installed during the task sequence.
I hope that helps,

Roaming SCCM Client is not receiving policies from its Default MP
Hi
We have come across situation where a roaming client is unable to receive policies when the client moves from one primary site to another.
As per this link http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb633252.aspx it should ideally receive policies from its default MP, which is not happening.
the same client is able to receive the policies when we manually assign the new site code.
Scenario with Example:
Client is from site PS1 and default MP is "Server1"
when the same client travels to another primary site(PS2), it should ideally contact its default management for policies and contact resident MP for content info, this is not happening.
for the same client when manually change the site code to PS2, the client is able to download policies.
Question: why the roaming client is unable to download policies from it default MP..?
Please Advise.
Thanks.

IE11 SCCM 2012 Deployment - says installed in software center but after re-boot IE8 Remains
Hello,
I have an issue deploying IE11 to the estate, on the pc's the package says installed in software centre but when the users re-boot it's still IE8 on the machine.
The monitoring tool in SCCM 2012 console lists the install as successful.
I have the appenforce log from one of the machiens with the issue:

Thus the logs above don't add any value. Thus, the issue lies with the MSI. Where did you get it from? Have you tried running it with the /l*v command-line
option to add verbose logging and then reviewed this log file? Have you tried manually testing using the System account (done using psexec) to more closely emulate how ConfigMgr invokes the command-line?

Incorrect Software Center content
Hello everybody,
I'm having hardtime with our SCCM 2012 SP1 infrastrucutre for 2 weeks now.
Basically, everything has been running smoothly for quite some times (last major update was SP1 in June 2013) but computers being staged with MDT integrated TS or machines with a basic Dell image joined to domain on which the client is deployed have an issue
to show proper content in the Software Center.
For the Background, I have a pretty simple setup : Single site server and multiple DP's (one per site) and the only recent changes I have operated were in Septembre when I've started PKI certificates installation whilst the Servers roles are still in http
or https at the moment. I thought this could be the trigger for my problems and rolled everything back but no success.
Packages and Applications available during the OSD are deployed over a specific collection containing unknown computers. Therefore, once the staging is completed the computer leaves that collection and those packages and applications are not shown as available
anymore while the computer will retreive the deployments offered to another collection it joins automatically.
That's what happens in theory but all my newly deployed clients will not refresh the Software Center content. For those which were deployed through the OSD, they will keep on showing the OSD Collection content. If I try to deploy one on these I will receive
an error reading that this application is not available anymore and that I need to refresh the Software Center window by pressing F5. It doesn't help, niether is triggering an Machine Policy retrieval from the CM Client control panel.
I have noticed that If I deleted an existing deployment from the collection and redeploy it the way it was done before, the computer will update properly.
For the rest, communication with the MP seems to be doing fine, I've found these 2 relevant informations in the client logs :
CIDownloader.log

Has anyone ever encountered that issue? I'm thinking about uninstalling/reinstalling the MP role on my main server but I must admit I'm pretty cold about this modification as I do not find relevant log errors about this issue and I'm affraid of simply loosing
control on all my corking clients.
thanks for you time and, if I need to provide additional information let me know. I tried to stick to what seems of interest as I've been digging this for some time now.
ThomasHi Torsten,
I have indeed check the Monitoring node from the console and have no warnings/errors.
I have checked on site servers logs, especilly the MP ones, and found errors about ClientAuth_SignatureFailure (which seems to be linked to my half PKI setup) but these do not apply to the computers I'm running my tests on and I ruled them out. I can post
the content here if you want anyway.

Available Package Deployments not showing in Software Center of Domain Controller Clients
We have a SCCM 2012 R2 environment and have a pretty weird issue. I have deployed multiple 'available' software packages to a collection. The non-domain controller client receives the deployments and I can run them successfully, however the domain controller
shows nothing in the software center. But in the PolicyAgent.log of the domain controller I can see it getting the policy:

SCCM 2012 Client Software Center - no items found.
hi there,
we are using software center as self-service portal for users and it's working quite good!
unfortunely i software center displays "no items found" on a specific computer, though the pc is in the correct collection.
i have re-installed sccm client, repaired wmi repository and also re-imported the machine into sccm 2012 but still no luck.
anyone can point me on a possible solution?
thank you!Hello
we had exactly the same behavior. The Software Center shows everytime "No items found". After further tests we found that we could see applications in the Software Center, but still no packages.
After one day struggle we found the issue/solution. It seems that is not a bug, it is a feature....
Situation: Another user was logged in. It seems that the Software Center will only display packages for the first/default logged on user.
Solution: Make sure the previous user logs off completely (not just disconnected) and there are no users logged on to the machine before another user logs on.
The Applications do not have this restriction and will be displayed for all users logged on to the machine
Hope this helps -
SCCM 2012 - Client Installed but No Software Center
Hi Everyone,
I've a strange problem on my Management Point.
The SCCM 2012 client is installed, but there isn't Software Center (on all other Server it has been installed).
I've tryied to install it manually & with the push installation , but no change.
when I try to push it to the server it has an error File C:\Windows\ccmsetup\{181D79D7-1115-4D96-8E9B-5833DF92FBB4}\client.msi installation failed. Error text: ExitCode: 1635
But when I try to install Manually Exit code is 0 (no error)
CheersHi,
Have you checked the log files ccmsetup.log ,ccmsetup-ccmeval.log, client.msi.log and SoftwareCenterSystemTasks.log? Maybe it can give us some clues.

Trigger Available Software install on client
Hi all,
Previously in CM07 with the Run Advertised Programs applet, it was possible to advertise a program as non-mandatory and then start the application installation using a VBScript (eg. icon on user's desktop).
Does anyone know if it's possible with CM12 managed clients to run an 'Available' application (not package / program) from a user's Software Center through VBscript in a similar fashion?
We want to make a program available to user's but place an icon on their desktop so that they can install it at a suitable time.
Cheers
SimonFor packages/programs, it should be exactly the same as the UIResource.UIResourceMgr COM object is unchanged to my knowledge. For applications, you would probably invoke the Enforce method of the IAppManagementHandler interface:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh948515.aspx . I can't find any sample code for this though.
What's wrong with the user using the App Catalog or Software Center? You can easily provide links to those on the desktop.

SCCM 2012 R2 - Software Center bug with publishing date ("available after")
Hello everyone,
we are using SCCM 2012 R2 together with Software Center to allow users the installation of +100 different software packages.
This works out quite well; but some packages have always the date 10.04.1998 as publishing date, no matter if i have set a publishing date manually or not.
here is a screenshot:
this bug occurs with new packages i have created and also with old ones. i have changed the publishing date manually and also redistributed them to the distribution point but this did not change anything.
Anyone encountered the same error or knows how to fix it? It is not critical but really annoying...Redistributing it to DPs isn't needed as the publishing date has nothing to do with source files. It's just a matter of policies though. Does the data change if you select Notepad++ for example and then highlight TeamViewer 9 again?

Getting "Error: 0x80070654" when trying to install SCCM 2012 R2 Console from Software Center
What I did:
Created a Package Source share on the Site Server
Gave the Package Source Share the following Share permissions: SCCM Admins: Full Control, Domain Computers: Full Control, Local Admins: Full Control.
Copied the "Program Files\Microsoft Configuration Manager\tools\ConsoleSetup" folder to my package source (Since the Package Source is actually on the site server, I just copied the ConsoleSetup folder to it that is on the same drive)
Created a package and a Standard Program
Command line: ConsoleSetup.exe
I deploy it to my collection
Run Machine Policy and Reevaluation on my Right Click Tools
Go to one of my clients and open up Software Center and click the Install button
It fails with ""Error: 0x80070654"
I open up execmgr.log on the client using CMTrace and I use the error lookup tool and it shows that the 0x80070654 error is "This installation package could not be opened. Contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer
package"
I also see a red highlighted line in the execmgr.log file with the following entry: "Script for Package:PRI00013, Program: SCCM 2012 R2 Management Console failed with exit code 2147944020"
I can run ConsoleSetup.exe using a command line to the package source.

ThanksCool, mate it is then.
Yeah it either changed or there is a typo.
I re-created everything and I still get that same 0x80070654 error.
This is really frustrating

Client's Software Center is Empty
Hi everyone,
I have been working on an issue here for a couple of weeks and cannot figure it out. Our clients are no longer getting an updated list of available programs when they access they look at the Software Center. This is most obvious with new
clients that have just been added or with rebuilt systems. I have checked dozens of different logs and settings and have reinstalled the client on a number of machines to no avail. I have run the SCCM 2012 R2 configuration analyzer, but
it didn't tell me anything. Reinstallations of the SCCM Client did not resolve this issue, nor did a fresh installation. This particular system has been upgraded a few times, so it is possible something broke during an update recently.
Has anyone had this issue as well? Does anyone have any recommended things to check?I opened the logs in "C:\Program files\Microsoft Configuration Manager\Logs", "C:\Program files\SMS_CCM\Logs\" as well as the inetpub logs and found these errors that might mean something. I could not find any of the Site Server
logs listed in that link on our server.
P.S. I forgot to mention that it is running SCCM 2012 R2 CU4.

Clients do not receive Update anymore
Hi,
already close to a nervous breakdown:
Some time ago we had our WSUS / SUP working fine with SCCM 2012 SP1, installed on a (virtual) server 2008R2
Due to performance issues we were forced to move SCCM to a powerful hardware box.
there we installed server 2012R2 as OS, and we succesfully did restore a SCCM Backup from the virtual Machine
We've been told to keep the same servername as the virtual - to succeed on SCCM backup restore
So far so good ... all does work fine, on top of, we did upgrade to CU3
However since that day - none of our clients did receive a single WSUS update anymore. On the server side all is fine
to me.
updates are synchronised - automatic deployment rules do what they have to do, software update groups are created, updates
downloaded, distributed and deployed.
update deployments are required with deadline and so on ...
the logs on the server do look fine ...except one thing in the WCM.log which came to my attention

It states that it can't find a supported version of assembly - but 2 lines later it says that it has one of a higher release
Since server 20112R2 does come with a higher WSUS release. so I think no issue here ...
Even on the client side I do not find errors - see here entries of WUAhandler.log (here I changed servername & domain)
but in real life the server's name = correct

FYI - we are not using GPO's to set WSUS source .. boundaries are configured correct ....
on the SCCM server In the deployment status for a software updates deployment -> clients report - status unknown ->
client check passed /active
To me the clients don't detect that there are new updates available.
Have you any idea where it can go wrong .. I so far can't find out why.
ThanksDear,
I found out that when the sccm client gets in stalled -> a local policy has been set to point to the WSUS update service location / SCCM server - in our case http://servername.domain.corp.local:8530
Since most of our clients were installed from the former SCCM setup on the Virtual server installed with server 2008 R2 + wsus 3.0 + SP2 this local policy is still pointing to http://servername.domain.corp.local:80
We however did upgrade all clients to the CU3 level from the SCCM setup on the new server installed with 2012R2 operating system and corresponding WSUS 4... - the client upgrade did suceed - but the setting for the WSUS service location Did remain
on http://servername.domain.corp.local:80
I did try to get rid of that port 80 setting - but no chance ..the SCCM agent nicely did revert back to port 80 all the time.
Than I uninstalled the SCCM client by running CCMSetup.exe /uninstall - after the uninstall I've rebooted the client - and installed teh SCCM client again (direct from teh primary site server)
And yes - the windows update service location was set correct now!
http://servername.domain.corp.local:8530
Suddenly the client did start talking with the System center server - and did report back updates status - the client even did install updates - unfortunately only updates who were released / deployed before - we moved SCCM from the Virtual server
to the 2012R2 hardware server.
So we're getting closer - now we need to find out why those fresh released updates / groups (April 2014) and corresponding deployments - are not detected by the client.
any suggestion would be highly appreciated
Thx
Geert
