SCCM Remote Control - Set default to not "scale to fit"

We are using SCCM Remote Control Viewer (CmRcViewer.exe).
By default the view is set to "scale to fit" (with a tick) for every computer you connect to. If you change it to unticked it then reverts back for the next computer you connect to. Is there a way to set the default not to be scale to fit (unticked)?
I have looked through the registry but can't see anything obvious.
Thanks!

Sounds like a good DCR though which you can file on Connect (connect.microsoft.com) -- anything you file there goes directly into the product team's bug database. That doesn't mean it will get fixed, just that someone will review it and the more justification
you can add, the more likely it will be considered to be addressed in the future.

  • Title & Menu Buttons not working correctly on remote control/ set top player but work in preview.

Title & Menu Buttons not working correctly on remote control/ set top player but work in encore preview. This only happens for a Blu ray project. When a user presses the menu button it should go to the previous menu they were on but it goes to the main menu. When they press the title button they should go to the main menu but it doesn't do anything. My DVD projects work as expected.I've tried creating a new "test" project with different footage and still get the same undesirable results.
Overrides grayed out and set to "not set" for timelines and menus.Project settings and build are set to blu ray. Also I've noticed when I preview a Bluray project the preview window shows a red colored disc next to the Title button when viewing the timelines and green when playing the menus but not so for a DVD project it displays red if motion menus and or timelines are not rendered/encoded. I'm not using motion menus and all the media is encoded according to the project specs.
I've searched this forum but couldn't find the answer. Any help or redirects to a solution would be appreciated. Working with CS5. Thanks.

I found out on my Samsung Blu ray player the remote has a tools button on it that brings up audio, angle, chapter selection etc.and also title selection which is actually the menus and the timelines unfortunately. It's not as easy or direct as last menu selected but it's a workaround at least. I also plan on using a pop up menu. I'll let you know.

  • SCCM remote control keeps dropping out when another network adaptor loses connection

    Hey guys,
Hopefully someone will be able to help me out
at work, we are running SCCM 2012, and I use SCCM 2012 config manager to manage the clients etc
We have a particularly annoying issue with SCCM remote control; it constantly drops out when a network connection on the client machine disconnects or changes state, even if its not interface I'm remote controlling through
    Here's an example for you:
a laptop with a wired, and wireless connection:
I remote control the machine through the wired network address (lets say 192.168.0.1), but if the wireless connection drops out (someone turns it off or it breaks) the remote control client will kick me off, lock the screen, and I have to wait 20-30 seconds
before it will accept my connection again
This happens with any network adaptor that's installed on the client
Here is a copy of the logs re-creating this issue: https://www.dropbox.com/s/nu4w28d44xky3rg/CmRcService.log
(I've edited it to take out usernames and IP addresses as they are publicly accessible)
So my question, does any one know how to fix this issue? I see it uses WMI, is there anyway to get WMI to ignore an interface?
    Thanks heaps,
    Harry

This is going to be done by design for security reasons. If the network connect for whatever reason is down the pc will automatically be locked.

  • Disable remote control IR receiver is not showing up in system pref.

My remote for my iMac is not working. I originally thought it neeeded a new battery but that was not it. I had a power outage the other night and since then have been noticing the problem.
    The apple support says;
    'To turn on IR reception:
Open System Preferences and click Security.
Deselect "Disable remote control infrared receiver.'
When I go to system preferences and then security, the option to 'disable remote control infrared receiver' does not show up.
Yesterday I restarted and the option came back, this morning after turning my computer on it wasn't there again. Any idea how to resolve this problem for good?
    Thank you
    Dan

The next time you notice the line gone from the System Preferences, open up your System Profiler (from the /Applications/Utillities/ folder) and check to see if the "IR Receiver" is listed under the USB section in Hardware.
If it doesn't appear there, then perhaps you're having some kind of failure of your receiver? If it does appear there, then it would seem more likely that you're having some kind of preference file or setting problem.

  • Just bought Apple TV today, have one problem, how to have the remote control the TV alone, not my mac pro ...

just bought the Apple TV today, connected with my Pioneer Elite receiver, works great with my iPhone 5, HD movie steam without any problem. but when i open my MBP, problem start surface, i try to do the home sharing, but the remote control not only control my apple tv, but control my MBP as well, so it mess up everything. please help also the Apple TV keep on resume playing music or video without permission, for example, i was trying to watch a photo slideshow, but it keeping switch back to playing the video files i last watched. any ideas?

As for the remote issue, what version of OS X are you using?
With the latest version of Mountain Lion 10.8.2 you will find the remote control setting in Preferences/Sharing/Privacy then click the Advanced button at the bottom. Check "Disable remote control infrared receiver" or pair a different Apple remote to prevent the ATV's remote from controlling the computer.

  • SCCm 2012 r2 Remote Control setting

    hi,
    i have SCCM 2012 r2
my question is if there are 2 client policy deployed to 1 pc "member of 2 collection" first policy allow remote full control to IT support and 2nd policy allow remote view control to Domain User.
    which one take effect?
i already made the policy and applied it and give specific normal domain user remote control security role to specific collection
but when user try to connect to any PC the remote tool ask him to supply credential.

at first place Thanks for your support and
    Patience.
sorry, i did not understand what was in the link you specified.
i know it's device setting not user setting what i need is:
    if i have  user1 and user2
i want user1 to have full remote control permission and for user2 i want him to have view only remote control. on same pc which is member at 2 collection "is it possible to do it and how?"

  • SCCM Remote Control Feature Working

    Hi,
Would like to get some insight into the working of SCCM 2012 remote features.
When an admin starts a session (i.e. right click on machine > Start > Remote control). How is the connection made. I know this uses TCP 2701 port but what I mean is,
If the standalone primary server is hosted in US and the UK site admin starts a remote control session for a machine present in UK locally. Does it makes a connection  from the admin's machine to the local machine or if the connection is established
by first connecting from UK to Primary server and then from primary to the local UK machine ?
Also, in another scenario, if admin is using SCCM console which is published on CITRIX. How will the connection proceed, i.e. would it be from admin machine to citrix farm, then to primary server and all the way back to the local UK machine.
    Thanks

    Thanks Torsten,
    What
i need to make sure if i am not confusing it,  there would be a LAN connection if the machine is in the same region as I specified for example? for the scenario where the console is locally installed ?
OK. We have majority of machines using CITRIX to use SCCM console, going by your answer, each of the machine will hit the CITRIX server and make a connection from there.

  • Remote control and eject button not working?

    Hey.
Not too much to explain - my remote control does not work at all, and neither does my cd eject button on the keypad. This is after the installation of Leopard.
I've tried to search for the issue but only find people complaining about the new Front Row design or how they cannot eject volumes at all. (Which is not my case)
Has some people had this error and fixed it?
    Thanks in advance.

The remote control could be because I deactivated my IR receiver
    That leaves my eject button.

  • Verizon Remote Control iPhone App will not accept my logon credentials

I downloaded the Verizon Remote Control iPhone App - but it doesn't accept my username/password.  The same app has a Support section and that section does accept my username/password.
    Any advice?

make sure you are using the Verizon primary email account, if you are still having issues contact the FIOS tech support (FSC) over a live chat at http://www22.verizon.com/content/contactus or call on 1 800 837 4966

  • The UITableView does not scale to fit the screen.

    Hi, I am a newbie
I have an UITabBar, and each UITabBarItem is related to an UINavigationController.
first I am in the root view under NavigationBar
then I click the button and navigated to another view, in this view, the navigation bar become higher because there is a a segment control.
And then, I click the return button on the navigation bar, return back to the root view.
I found that, the UITableView in the root view is not scaled to fit the screen now, the navigation bar .
and there is a space below the UITableView.
    Questions:
    1. By which delegate, I can detect the tab bar is clicked and switched by the user?
    2. How to scale the UITableView to full fill the screen in Code?
    Thx a lot

Check to see if you have the portrait lock activated. Double click the Home button to bring up the multitask bar. Swipe to the right until you get the iPod and volume screen. Check to the left is the rotation lock. If you can see the lock and arrow, you have the lock on, just click it again to turn it off.

  • ALSA: Setting default device (Not card, but device)

    This seems to be a riddle that nobody can solve;
    - The system only has one card by the name of 'Intel'
    - That card is the regular 6 3.5mm jack soundcard.
    - I have a mic plugged into the red microphone plug
    - I open up Audacity and go to preferences, there are two microphone plugs, 'hw:0,0' and 'hw:0,2'
    - I have no idea where 0,0 is and it doesnt make any sound, I plugged the mic into every plug on the board and nothing records.
    - i can set Audacity to use 0,2 and then it will record my voice just fine
When I open up xfce's mixer I see that there are two mic plugs:
Apparently "Front Mic" is the device that is hw:0,0 right now/
Now when I play Savage2 I don't have an option to choose the device, I can choose the soundcard but that doesn't help. How do I set the default Device so that the game uses hw:0,2 in push-to-talk?

    from the alsa archwiki:
    "Setting the default Microphone/Capture Device
Some applications (Pidgin, Adobe Flash) do not provide an option to change the capture device. It becomes an issue if your microphone is on a separate device (i.e. USB webcam or microphone) than your internal sound card. To change only the default capture device, leaving the default playback device as is, you can modify your ~/.asoundrc file to include the following:
    pcm.usb
        type hw
        card U0x46d0x81d
    pcm.!default
        type asym
        playback.pcm
            type plug
            slave.pcm "dmix"
        capture.pcm
            type plug
            slave.pcm "usb"
Replace "U0x46d0x81d" with your capture device's card name in ALSA. You can use 'arecord -L' to list all the capture devices detected by ALSA."
EDIT: maybe i didn't read your post well enough.. im just guessing here but maybe you can replace card U0x46d0x81d with
    device name_of_device..
    maybe..

  • SCCM 2012 R2 - remote control port[s] - customize/configure/change?

First, let me start by saying I am aware of
this page that outlines the ports used in SCCM. It has a section called "configurable ports" and another called "non-configurable ports". However, remote control (port 2701) isn't listed under either - its under another section.
Currently, we have another app utilizing the same port[s] that the SCCM remote control piece uses. I want to know if there is any way to configure this to use a different port? Somewhere in the registry perhaps? From what I've read it doesn't sound like
it is changeable but I wanted to confirm in here.
Our other app is configurable, however, it would require us to not only change it on each of the 100 or so Windows servers, but over 900 Unix servers as well that are configured to use the same port. So it will be a little bit of work. The other
option (as I have it set up now) is to just leave remote control disabled.
    Thanks in advance!

Is 2701 the default port for this application or is this just bad luck? If it is the default port would you mind sharing which app this is for our information.

  • Remote Control - Remove the Confirmation Prompt?

We have some Training Lab computers that we sometimes have to remote into via the SCCM Console via Start | Remote Control.  Problem is it launches the Confirmation prompt on the screen and since no one is actually at these VMs, they can't click OK.
How can I disable the confirmation box so when I choose Remote Control it just lets me right in whether someone is logged into these machines or not?
    Thanks!

Client Settings allow you to disable the prompt.  However, in this case, shouldn't you just be using Remote Desktop instead of Remote Control?  Remote control is for providing assistance to a user.

We need a way it can remote in as the local session to be compatible with some crappy Webex Training Lab software that we use.  a SCCM remote control connection is the only thing we've found that works.
Where exactly do I find the setting to disable the prompt?  I've been looking around but haven't come across it yet.

  • Remote Control and error 1456

We are having a Remote control issue with more and more PC's. If they are
logged in, we can remote control them. If they have bee restarted and are
waiting to log in, then we can not remote control them. We Can use
    diagnostics on them though....
Zen 4.01 ir7 is where we are.
We are also having an issue where many times after imaging, the ISD is not
populated into windows, and gets associated with our Image PC's workstation
object. If we clear the ISD, delete both workstation objects, and reboot the
target PC, it does re-import correctly. The remote control issue does not
get fixed when this happens though....
I have seen that rmerrorlog.txt has been asked for in the past to help solve
this issue, so We are including that. Any help in resolving what we have set
    wrong is appreciated.
