SCCM Reporting Configuration Issue

I'm really hoping someone can help out because I have spent far too much time on this already.
We I go to Monitoring and Reports and "Report Options" I get this error when trying to select a default reporting server:
"There is a problem connectiong to the specified reporting server. Please check the connection and make sure SQL reporting services is running on the specified server." (the typo is
in the error message)
I can get the web URLs for the report server and all the reports are there so I know that SSRS is working but I can't get them to show up in the console.
Thanks

Yes I do and I have it installed on the SQL database machine. Below is what I have in the srsrp.log file. I am thinking its a permissions issue..

  • Oracle 11g Fusion Middleware (11.1.1.3.0) Report Configuration Issue

Oracle 11g Fusion Middleware (11.1.1.3.0) Report Configuration Issue
    =============================================
    Hi All,
I have installed Oracle 11g Fusion Middleware (11.1.1.3.0) on Oracle Linux 5 and getting some issues while configuring. What's happening is that when I run my report, it looks for the library attached to it. If I define the REPORTS_PATH in reports.sh, it works fine.
What I want to achieve is to push reports to use REPORTS_PATH environment variable from rwserver.conf instead of reports.sh
Someone told me to remove the REPORTS_PATH from reports.sh and add the REPORTS_PATH from reports.sh to a default.env in rwserver.conf, but it didn't worked.
What I know about the report server stuff in 11g Fusion Middleware is that it consists of two different servers (Standalone and In Process). Our application runs report using SRW.RUN_REPORT which basically use In Process report server setting in rwserver.conf to run the report.
The heirarchy in which reports try to look for the REPORTS_PATH is
    1) REPORTS.sh
    2) rwserver.conf
    3) Settings as per Oracle Enterprise Manager Configuration Settings.
My standalone report server name is ReportsServer_hostname_asinst_F and the In Process Server name is rep_wls_reports_hostname_asinst_frd. When I define rep_wls_reports_hostname_asinst_frd (In process Report Server Name) for the server name parameter, I do not get any results for the report run using srw.run_report. Also I can't see the reason behind the report executed because of the following issue
    http://hostname:8888/reports/rwservlet/showjobs?server=rep_wls_reports_hostname_asinst_frd
REP-51019: System user authentication is missing.
** the Singlesignon in rwservlet.properties is defined as no
But when I define ReportsServer_hostname_asinst_F (Standalone Report Server Name) as server parameter and ran the report using srw.run_report, I get result with the REPORTS_PATH defined in reports.sh not using rwserver.conf file.
    http://hostname:8888/reports/rwservlet/showjobs?server=ReportsServer_hostname_asinst_F
(which shows the report just run).
Can someone who did Report Server configuration using ENV files (changing rwserver.conf), pls. send me the screenshots. Want to make sure if I am changing the correct files under correct location.
Pls. feel free to ask me questions related to the environment set up.
    Thanks

  • Hyperion Financial Reporting Configuration Issue

    Hi,
I installed Hyperion Financial Reporting version 11.1.1.1.0 where the Hyperion Web Analysis and Workspace installed in the same server.
I am able to open the Financial Reporting Studio but not able to open HFR through Workspace.
Let me explain you what I did exactly:
    1) Installed Reporting and Analysis( HFR)
    2) Ran the COnfiguration Utility and configured the Reporting And Analysis Server
    3) Checked in Preference to see if Reporting And Analysis is present in the left side, I could see Web Analysis and can create Reports in it.
Then tried to access HFR through Workspace but not working. I updated Context.properties and set reports to Y and then recycled the services but still no luck..
Please correct me if I missed anything to configure the HFR.
Thanks in advance for your help..

This issue was resolved after stopping the Workspace services and ran the Configuration Utility. Now, able to view financial reporting and web analysis reports in workspace...

  • SCCM Reports Will Not Run - SQL Connection Issue

We have SCCM 2012 R2 CU2 and SQL 2012 SP1 CU6. We used to build our SCCM suites with SQL on the site server and have never had this problem that we now have on a new suite but this time we hosted SQL on its own server (SQ01) separate from the site server.
SCCM made the SQL server a component server (makes sense) and forced us to put Reporting Services on the SQL server (when trying to put it on the site server it would not find the instance-CM01, as that one has SSRS on it). The site server is ABC01. We've
already fixed a couple errors in regards to this issue.
The Reporting Services installed on SQ01 fine. When you go to reports in admin console it loads the 419 default SCCM reports just fine. But none of them will run properly. They open up but a popup appears with this error in the error details popup:
"An error has occurred during report processing....AbortedException: An error has occurred during report processing...ReportProcessingException: Cannot create a connection to data source AutoGen__(many numbers). System exception..."
If you go to SQ01, open Reporting Services Config Mgr, connect to instance SC01, click the URL under Report Manager URL, it prompts you for a logon (but should not do so) and you can log in with the service account selected when the Reporting services were
installed in SCCM Admin Console, drill down into ConfigMgr_ABC, click on the default created data source named {bunch of numbers}, and herein there are two more problems....1) it doesn't save the pwd for the service account, when clicking test connection we
often have to reenter it, and 2) the ConnectionString has this entry for Source="ABC01.fqdn/CM01" but it will never connect with that. If we change it to just "CM01" and it is currently holding the pwd, it will test connect successfully
but after just a few minutes it won't because something has reset the connection to "ABC01.fqdn/CM01" and forgotten the pwd. It is apparent that something is overwriting the settings in a way SQL currently doesn't like.
Also, we have an alias within SQL in this format "SQ01.fqn/CM01" when SQL already has a "CM01" alias. This seems to be a problem too.
    Any input appreciated.
    Ben JohnsonWY

OK, I'm duly web-embarrassed. Apparently due to some firewall blockage, my Admin Console on my workstation (which is in a different VLAN from these servers), could not save the changed Reporting Services configs to SQL. When we made the changes using the
Admin Console on ABC01, it all started working.

    Hi,
SCCM reports aren't working for some reasons either from web or from console.

I have tried searching for "Client found response content type of '', but expected 'text/xml'." on web but didn't get anything useful.
    Could you please assist?

    Hey Peter,
Actually there were very few who got exactly this error
Client found response content type of '', but expected 'text/xml'.
They were facing different errors like
Client found response content type of 'text/xml', but expected 'text/xml' + etc..
Many tried reinstalling the Reporting point role but even that didnt fixed the issue.
I am just trying to make sure if there are any alternatives to this before i have to reinstall the reporting
service role (as there are many customized SQL reports we use)
I believe this is something which happened after upgrading to R2 and affecting some reports and not all.

  • Need help on P6 v8.1 Progress Reporter installation / configuration issue

Successfully installed P6 EPPM v8.1 on Win 2k8 ent. for evaluation. However, upon completion of the progress reporter configuration an internal server is encountered.
I can successfully navigate to https://<ip>/pr page. However, when you click on the "Launch P6 Progress Reporter" link, the error 500 is presented
    Error 500--Internal Server Error
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
    10.5.1 500 Internal Server Error
The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.
The setDomainEnv changes outlined in the administrators manual have been completed.
The database configuration has been completed and the server was restarted. (https://<ip>/pr/admin/configuration) however a couple of observations:
If I change the configuration home location the configuration does NOT stick, that is when I log back in to the pr admin configuration page I would expect to be able navigate to other tabs (i.e. connection pool, authentication, logging) but I cannot. ONLY upon accepting the default configuration home, does this take and the other tabs are presented after the restart.
Additionally, if I select to increase the logging through the admin configuration screen, and click save, then the same error 500 page is presented (see above).
Have also tried to use the http://<ip>/pr/applet?lang=en no success.

here is the log file null pointer exception.

  • SCCM report on last time each Office application was used

I have set up the correct SCCM software metering rules for each of the Office suite executables like Outlook.exe, MsWord.exe etc. I would like to report on usage of each executable in the Office suite. This is useful for us because we can work out things
like if a user only uses Outlook and nothing else in the Office suite then we can move them to Outlook Web Access and uninstall Office, therefore reducing the number of Office licenses required.
I'm sure the data is there but not sure how to extract it. For all the machines in the environment, I would like to have a report showing something like this:
Name Last date Outlook.exe used Last date Excel.exe used
    PC001 01/01/2011 15/03/2011
    PC002 02/02/2011 Never run
    PC002 Never run Never run
There doesn't seem to be an existing report that I could use / modify, just wondering if anyone has attempted this before?

I wonder, what is the use of this report. I think, you can try to create a custom report with the help of two links given below?

I am trying to install DPM2012 R2 on windows 2008 R2 with sql server 2008 R2. During installation I am getting this error:
    Report configuration failed.
Verify that SQL Server Reporting Services is installed properly and that it is running.

I feel my reporting services are installed properly and nothing is looking wrong. Any help/clue to fix this issue.
    Hopes you will support.

Maybe the User running Setup has no permission accessing the reporting Services.
Setup should link you to a Log File for more Information, please take a look in it

  • Reporting/ Configuration questions.

    Hi there
I have a few questions I would like to ask based on reporting / configuration of ZenWorks.
    1) Will it be possible to include the Name & Surname from LDAP in our hardware reports? Currently we can get name etc but we cannot be sure the user input is valid.
Obviously this information is not included in the DB.
    2) ZENworks Report Server InfoView - can we integrate with customized crystal code.
i.e Could I for the question in #1 above, get the report to get the LDAP Name and Surname from LDAP and place it on the report based corresponding to the correct IP address and hardware?
    3) Can I give different access levels so that a Staff member can pull a customized report ONLY on Hardware specific to their group?
    Thank you

  • SCCM report data are missing inside report since Update SCCM 2012 to R2 Cu1

    Hi All,
I encountered an issue regarding certains SCCM reports after migrating to SCCM R2 CU1.
After this upgrade, I've already encountered some issues on differents reports .. reports where we need to select a collection or patches or computers from a drop list (all theses drop list were empty).
I resolved these issues by adding the "read" security permission in the security role dedicated to our Support Team. (Read permission is now applied on Collections, Packages ect...)
This sort of report works well now.
But this same Team show me another issue where I did not find any resolution.
In the categorie called "Hardware - General", we have a report named "Computer information for a specific computer" where, as you know, we normally could find some informations regarding a computer.
In fact, the only informations which are visible through this report are the NetbiosName,Username, Domain User & computer and IP adress.
All others informations are not displayed.
If I use this report with a user who has admin rights in SCCM (which is not the fact with my support team of course) ...all informations are displayed normally.
It seems that it looks like the first read rights issue that I encountered at the beginning, but I did not find where could be the cause of this issue
Does anyone has already seen this sort of issue ?

In CM12R2 RBA is now enabled for report. So this tell me that you have NOT grant the support team access to the data and therefore this is normal.
There is a quick fix for this see Brian post.

  • Export SCCM Report to CSV

I am trying to create a Macro based Excel file that would contain a Macro, when executed would download a SCCM Report into a CSV file. At the moment I have to manually go to the webpage, wait for the report to be created and then click on a "Export
to a file" button then choose a location and save. All is fine but I wanted to have some kind of automation. Since the webpage is created using SSRS reporting I cannot use standard HTML call out procedures like in these YouTube videos:
Excel VBA Pull Data From A Website
Get web page data into Excel using VBA
I have tried these VBA lines:
    Sub Get_SCCM()
    Dim IE As New InternetExplorer
    IE.Visible = True
    IE.navigate "www.google.co.uk"
    Do
      DoEvents
    Loop Until IE.readyState = READYSTATE_COMPLETE
    Set TextBox = IE.document.getElementsByName("q")
    TextBox.Item(0).Value = "OK"
    End Sub
This Macro executes without any problems and you can see that the "OK" has been input into the Google searchbox. But When I tried this code:
    Sub Get_SCCM()
    Dim IE As New InternetExplorer
    IE.Visible = True
    IE.navigate "http://<Server_Name>/Reports/Pages/Report.aspx?ItemPath=%2f<Reports_Name>%2fInfrastructure%2f<Name>%2f<Report_File_Name>"
    Do
      DoEvents
    Loop Until IE.readyState = READYSTATE_COMPLETE
    End Sub
    I receive an error:
    Run-time error '-2147417848 (80010108)'
    Automation error
The object invoked has disconnected from its clients
Even does not work when trying to add extra lines like IE.document etc.
Any suggestions on how to export a CSV file with the report from SCCM webpage using VBA in Excel.
    Thanks!

SSRS reports can be automatically sent to a file.  Ask your admin how to configure a custom scheduled report.   The report can go to disk or beemailed on the scheduled.
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • Why would Extension Manager CS6 report dependency issues for 29 InDesign CS6 factory plug-ins?

Suddenly Extension Manager CS6 is reporting dependency issues for 29 InDesign CS6 factory plug-ins. I made no changes to those plugins that might have precipitated this. 1. You only pasted one log file (log0.log?), there is another more important log file: ExtensionManager.log you dind't paste.
    2. Have you removed ALL mxi files from ALL subfolders of BOTH "C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Extension Manager CS6\EM Store" AND "C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Extension Manager CS6\EM Store" to separate folder? If yes, Extension Manager shouldn't hang.
    3. Please make sure you have "Full control" permission to ""C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Extension Manager CS6\Configuration\DB\ExMan.db" and "C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Extension Manager CS6\Configuration\DB\ExManUser.db". You can check it in "Security" tab page of "Properties" dialog box.

  • Custom Report Configuration

    Hi all,
I have an issue during the configuration of CustomerReportExtensions.xml.
I was already provided with EqtUIModelDefinitions.xml and EqtUICommonModels.xml files, but I'm not sure how to use them.
Would you please provide me with a documentation guide?
    Thanks.

Have you looked at the Agile Product Lifecycle Management for Process Custom Report Configuration Guide?
It is available online on OTN, in the Product Lifecycle Management for Process Extensibility Pack 2.7 for Microsoft Windows zip file or HTML link:

If you have it already and have a specific question, let us know.
    Thanks

  • SCCM reports for SCEP malware short history

    Hello,
SCCM reports show only history for the last two month of the malware that was found on the computers. Is there any way to configure how long to keep history of malware records on SCCM?

After a bit more digging around, I believe I found the answer for this.
In SCCM, navigate to Administration>Site Configuration>Sites>. Right click on your primary site and select Site Maintenance. Find the entry for
Delete Aged Threat Data and change the value to what you require.
In my case, I changed the value from 30 to 365. This task cleans out the EP_Malware and EP_MalwarePath SQL tables, which hold the records of detected malware activity for the SCCM clients.
