SCCM SUP Downstream WSUS Server not getting EULA's
Hi,
We have two SUP's in geographically separate areas. Our SUP's report that they're replicating successfully, and I can see that updates are syncing between the two servers. My issue is with the 2nd SUP, in which WSUS is downstream to the Primary
SUP.
Any clients that connect to this SUP for updates might receive events in the WindowsUpdate.log file about being unable to download the ELUA's for updates. When I browse to the WSUS site, I get a 404. When I view the d:\wsus\wsuscontent folder,
it's empty.
On the primary SUP/WSUS server, the WsusContent folder is full of EULA's. I'm not see any errors anywhere in the logs I've looked at.
Does anyone know the log files I can check, or might know a solution to this issue?

SCCM 2007 R3 Software Updates Sync : 6703 WSUS server not configured

We run SCCM 2007 R3 in native mode (Software Update Point and WSUS both reside on SCCM site server). We're having issues running Software Updates Synchronization which have previously worked fine. In SMS_WSUS_Control_Manager the errors appear as follows
MessageID:6703
SMS WSUS Synchronization failed.
Message: WSUS server not configured.
Source: CWSyncMgr::DoSync.
The operating system reported error 2147500037: Unspecified error
I've followed the suggested fixes in
http://technet.micro...y/bb735874.aspx but still we have an issue.
If I open the WSUS console directly and run a manual synchronization from Microsoft this completes successfully. However, I presume this will not be using SSL which is what SCCM will want to use in native mode. I've checked the bindings in IIS on WSUS Administration
site to confirm that the certificate hasn't expired.
Any ideas what else I can try?

Downstream wsus server 3.2 not rollup to upstream wsus server 6.2 !!!

We have recently upgraded upstream server to 6.2 (server 2012) but downstream server is on 3.2 (2008R2). The synchronization works well in downstream server,downstream server gets updates from upstream server and all the clients in downstream
server gets updates as well.
Problem is downstream server status in upstream server console says " not rolled up yet", through downstream server gets all updates from upstream server. Because of this, we are not getting reports from downstream server through upstream server.
The mode of downstream server also says" autonomous" which does not make sense as we have set up downstream server as replica.
we have followed up all instruction from Microsoft to upgrade upstream server. I am getting only one error below in the downstream server software distribution log . There is no error reported in upstream server IIS log.

Thanks for reply. I have already been to you your other post and already checked kb2734608, it's installed on the downstream server. The downstream WSUS version shows up 3.2.7600.256.
Both server getting a time from NTP servers, only 40 seconds time difference on downstream server which shouldn't be a big deal, I guess.
There is only one error below in the downstream server software distribution log .

The only error getting in event log for upstream server for port 8530 when I check wsus health.
Because port 8530 is blocked on downstream server and only port 80 and 443 is open up. I can see in the log that it's upstream server communicating with downstream server through port 80 successfully. No problem with this.

New WSUS server not showing computers correctly.

I've recently migrated WSUS servers and everything has come intact apart from the grouping. The groups have come over but all the computers are showing under 'Unassigned Computers'.
I've manually removed and added a number of computers but it doesn't show any computers.

I've only just taken over setting up of WSUS from my colleagues and he's setup computer groups in WSUS and adds the computers to the groups via Active Directory Users and Computers.
The WSUS GPO only sets
Allow non-administrators to recieve update notifications
Allow signed updates from an intranet Microsoft update service location
Configure Automatic updates (Configure automatic updating, Scheduled install day, scheduled install time)
Enabling Windows Update Power Management to automatically wake up the system to install scheduled updates
Specify intranet Microsoft update services location (Set the intranet service for detecting updates, set the intranet statistics server)
Turn on recommended updates via Automatic Updates
Turn on Software Notifications.
Not sure how much help that is!
Well, that is your issue then, if you are using client side targeting with the WSUS Server you will need to place the WSUS Group in the Group Policy. Here is a good technet article to get you started.

WSUS server not seeing Server 2012 machines
We have WSUS 3.2.7600.226 running on a Windows Server 2003 R2 machine, which has been working fine with our wide range of client computers. We recently added our first 4 Server 2012 machines to our domain. Although they show up in browse lists across
the network, WSUS doesn't "see" them at all. They don't show up anywhere in the Computers list, and a search for any of them comes up empty.
If I apply our default GPO to these servers, they are required to use the WSUS as their update server. That causes them to get no updates.
What can I do to make these clients show up? Thanks in advance.Hi,

Hi All,
We have written a server which acts as a service in Microsoft Windows 2000 in java. For that we also wrote a monitor which keeps connecting to server and tries to restart the service through net stat startserver command if the server stops. This entire process works fine on Windows XP but the monitor is not getting started on Windows 2000. It attempts to execute a Batch FIle with some parameters to start the monitor. Is there any bug in windows 2000 and with java which is not letting my monitor to start ? Anyone please advice me......Did you try looking with the event viewer if there's a message that says why your service wasn't started?
Under what account are you starting the service? Does that account have access to the files and directories that the service needs? It might be a problem of access rights.
Problems like this are almost always the user's fault and not a bug in the operating system, but people always start with assuming that they're doing everything right so that it must be a bug.... -

I installed SCCM 2012 with Sp1 for my site server and everything is going well.. And than i installed the WSUS role on my Windows Server 2012 and SCCM 2012 SP1 it gave an error message which is "Fatal Error: The schema version of the database is from a newer
version of WSUS than currently installed. You must either patch your WSUS server to at least that version or drop the database." My database server is SQL Server 2012... Do you know any pathc for WSUS or SQL Server 2012 doesnt support WSUS yet???

MCTNormally if you are going to install SCCM 2012 SP1 +Windows 2012 with SQL 2012, Then you better use the SQL 2012 sp1.
also when you are installing the WSUS version 6.2 which come with server 2012 make sure you leave the default settings as it is. it shows in the below article.
also when you are giving the path to save the WSUS contents make sure the drive you going to create the wsus folder and the place where you going to download the updates is having free disk space and its formatted with the NTFS volume. Also the service account
you are using for this configuration should have the admin rights to the location of the wsus folder you going to create,

WSUS server not reporting itself
I am sure this has been asked, but I cant find the specifics for my situations.
I am running at Vm for server 2012R2 and installed the wsus role.
I have successfully moved all my servers and desktops from the old wsus server to this one. the version number is 6.3.9600.16384.
using group policy, my clients point to http://wsus:8530
the wsus server itself is not reporting in. I can not recall if it ever reported in to be honest. what can you suggest that I look at?

New Server - Not Getting Event.Data back
Its a weird problem i'm having. I've setup a brand new server (Original was a shared hosting setup from godaddy).
I'm using my same application
And i'm not getting event.data info back (in XML form)
Here's an example:

Downstream WSUS server without internet connection, license terms not being downloaded
We have 2 WSUS servers.
ServerA is the upstream server and has access to the internet
ServerB is configured as Autonomous downstream and has no internet access.
Synchronisation between the two servers works fine, with the exception of updates that have license terms. As part of the synchronisation, the downstream server attempts to download the license terms directly from Microsoft but fails, since there is no internet
connection.

This is not how it works. If the downstream server is correctly configured as a downstream server, it downloads
everything from the upstream server.
How did you determine that your downstream server was attempting to download direct from Microsoft, or that it was directly related to anything being synchronized from the upstream server.

Sun Role Manager 4.1 – WebLogic server not getting started
We are using Sun RM 4.1, WebLogic 10.3
In the recent past we are seeing a strange issue only in our production environment. When we wanted to restart the server, the server doesn’t come up at the first time, it fails will below listed errors, and when started second time it comes up.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

For your 1st answer - this application is in production for couple of years and we are seeing this error only for past few days. do you still think it might be a deployment issue.
For your 2nd Ans: this seems to be related to our env. can you give some more details on this as to what exactly needs to be done. sorry I've not worked much on WebLogic.

I have also seen in different forums that this might be a defect in Quartz Scheduler. We are getting a NoClassDefFoundError but the specified class file is in WEB-INF\lib dir, and also the missing class file name in the error is different when each time this error occurs, in the sense, this time the error is com.vaau.rbacx.scheduling.executor.rme.RoleStatusAndMembershipMaintenanceJobExecutor not found and when we restarted the server next time it gives org/springframework/orm/ibatis/SqlMapClientTemplate$10 is not found and so on.

KrikarHi take a backup of config.xml file first and then replace it with config.xml.booted. This is the config file which ran successfully last time.
Note : I am assuming this is not production server. If it is then I would suggest you to open a SR with support.

Before this error,I am able to see'STARTING' message from admin server but after sometime i get the below error.I waiting for 30 minutes and tried to access the console but no use.
I beleive ,this error is coming from one of the bpel components before i restarted my machine.is there any way to undeploy all my instaled SOA composite projects offline.Because,i am not able to start the server and i get this error at the server start up itslef.
