Sccm Task Sequence Error Code 0x80070570

I have been using sccm succesfully for a while now and have recently re-imaged 150 existing machine and all have work, with the exception of one that start to resolve the task sequence then drops out with the error code 0x80070570, I can not check the smsts.log as it have not been created by this point on the local hard drive and have been unable to find this error code on the internet, does anyone know what this error code means.

I know that this is an old post but I had a similar issue using a boot media to run a Task Sequence in ConfigMgr 2012 SP1 environment and I wasn't able to find a proper answer on that one.
So here it is:
The computer I was trying to image was shutdown using the good old holding the power button thing.
The drive was marked as dirty and had to run a checkdisk on reboot.
Once the checkdisk was done, the Task Sequence was able to start without any problem.
So the answer is, let the OS restart or run a checkdisk.

  • Error installing MBAM client through SCCM task sequence error code 80070005

    Hi
I'm getting a weird error when trying to deploy the MBAM 2.0 client through a task sequence, it was working but now keep seeing the below two errors in the AppEnforce log, after it has returned the 3010 soft reboot code.
CoCreateInstance failed on CLSID_ProductSrcUpdateMgr, error 80070005
Failed to update msi source list, error 0x80070005
does anyone have any idea what these mean?
    thanks
    Mark

What is the silent installation command line for MBAM client you are using. I would suggest to first test the silent installation manually and test whether it is working successfully or not.
Are you using the msi installer or the setup.exe

  • Task Sequence has failed with error code: 0x80070570

I've created task sequence for Windows XP OS Deployment. WinPE boot image loads successfully, Partitions are formatted successfully too. But during "Applying image 1 from volume C:\" I receive following error:
Task Sequence: My_task_sequence_name has failed with error code: 0x80070570.
What I need to do? Any ideas? (My computer has following details: ASUS P5KSE motherboard, Core 2 Duo, SATA HDD, Atheros L1 adapter)

No, a build and capture task sequence automates the build of the image removing any and all human intervention so that rebuilding or refreshing an image becomes a simple matter. Building images by actually manually installing Windows is anti-IT.
File corruption can be caused by many, many things; e.g., anti-virus, physical disk errors, network transmit errors, etc.

  • Install CS6 Applications via SCCM Task Sequence

    Hi
We have an SCCM 2012 R2 infrastructure on our network, and want to deploy Adobe CS6 applications using Windows Installer Packages created with Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition 3.1
We created individual packages for each application (for flexibility) following the instructions provided at this address: http://wwwimages.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/devnet/creativesuite/pdfs/AdobeApplication ManagerEnterpriseEditionDeploy…
When we go to install the packages via an SCCM Task Sequence, the following occurs:
    1     The application is installed
2     The application is not installed
We have followed the instructions provided by Adobe for the deployment, and cannot get any consistency with the installers. For example, when we run the task sequence, the following applications will be installed:
    1     Dreamweaver
    2     Fireworks
    3     Flash Professional
    4     Illustrator
    5     InDesign
    6     Photoshop
When we run the same task sequence again, the following applications are installed:
    1     Dreamweaver
    2     Fireworks
    3     Illustrator
    4     Photoshop
The task sequence first images the computer with Windows 7, and reboots the computer between each application being installed
I have also attempted packaging all the applications together, in a Design and Web Premium style package, with the same, unfortunate results
Please, can you help with this?

The error means RPC server unavailable. TS needs to invoke Execution Manager by RPC. This may be caused by the issue of RPC starting. I suggest you check the RPC service availability first. Another try is to add a restart computer step before installing
SQL. If still no avail, add a Delay "cmd.exe /c timeout /t 900".
Regarding the connecting network share issue, seems the network services has not been initializing or ready. Another possibility is the DHCP time out. Check the Event log and this may give you some clues of why the network is not ready or DHCP cannot get
IP address. Network Monitor can also be used to monitor the IP helper when the Client try to send DHCP request after reboot.

  • Boot Camp Error Code: 0x80070570

Macbook Pro late 2013 running OS X Yosemite 10.10.1
This problem with installing windows through boot camp has had me frustrated to no ends the past few days.
I have an iso of window 7 home premium that for sure works because it worked when I installed window 7 on VMWare.
I created the bootable USB flash drive and downloaded the driver and installed windows (checked all three boxes when I started boot camp), and everything is fine until I get to the install windows screen. Copy files work but when it gets to expand files, I get this error message:
"Windows cannot install required files. The file may be corrupted or missing. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. Error code: 0x80070570"
It says file may be corrupted or missing, but I have tried to burn the iso onto usb from boot camp and using window usb/dvd downloader tool to make the bootable usb flash drive. The iso file itself cannot be broken because it works on my virtual machine. I have also tried this with my windows 8.1 iso, which I also know for a fact works, and still gets the same error. Does the error come from burring the iso to the bootable USB flash drive? If thats the case, there is nothing that I know of to burn it better since I tried the build in boot camp one and the window usb/dvd tool.
This error is so annoying, and I been trying to install windows on my mac for the past few days to no avail.
Has anyone else found a fix for this problem?
It was much easier to install windows on the old macbook pro when it has an optical drive. Using the iso should be the same but I'm not sure why its not working, given my iso should be flawless.

To: Timothy Miller (and anyone else who might have input)
I'm having a somewhat related but somewhat different problem to the one you responded to a couple months ago in this thread.
I am also trying to create a partition on my Mac using Boot Camp Assistant in order to install Windows, and am also encountering an error from Boot Camp Assistant saying that I cannot complete the partition as wished.
My error message is slightly different from the one mentioned above. I already checked the solution you mentioned (checking the "enable journaling" button, and it is greyed out, because my hard drive was already enabled for journaling.
The error message I get from Boot Camps goes as follows:
"Unable to partition your hard drive because some files cannot be moved. Back up your disk. Use the disk utility to format it as a single Mac OS Extended (journaled) volume. Then restore information to the disk and try using the Boot Camp assistant again."
What does it mean "some files cannot be moved"?
I tried doing as it says, backed up all my data on my external hard drive, and went to disk utility to try to follow the error message's directions, but I'm not sure how exactly I format (or should I say re-format) my hard drive? I see options for erase, partition, and restore, but not format. I am guessing I probably need to erase it and then restore it from scratch? But disk utility won't let me erase my hard drive. Everything's "greyed out" and unclickable.
By the way, my computer is a 3 year old, 80 GB MacBook with Leopard 10.5.6.
    Thanks

I have a Windows XP computer and accidentally formatted the C:\ Drive. I then decided to buy the Windows Vista CD installation and popped it into the CD Drive, there was a problem with the Drive so I had to move it onto a USB Drive instead(on another computer).

It sounds like there's a problem with that file. You will need to re-copy the files to USB or even re-download the operating system from Microsoft.

Needs help from expert who have already done the upgrade.

    Hi
    > before the installation a message appears that I should uninstall ATI Catalyst install and ATI catalyst control panel.
And why you didnt do this?
Maybe you are running an older version of the display drivers and so you have to uninstall them before you can start the upgrade.
    Check this!!
After the successful upgrade you can install the newest display driver version from the Toshiba page.
By the way: Here you can find a step by step upgrade:

    1) enable f8 boot console on your boot image:  http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?/topic/546-how-can-i-troubleshoot-windows-pe-booting-in-sccm/  this will get you to a command prompt on the client
    2) look at the smsts.log for exactly why your client is failing osd:  http://blogs.technet.com/inside_osd/archive/2007/12/13/troubleshooting-tips.aspx
    3) also look at the reports for information as to why your OSD is failing:  http://blogs.technet.com/inside_osd/archive/2007/12/13/troubleshooting-tips.aspx

    Hi,
Its not the Boot image what has problems. Its one single OS package as others workjust fine

lol... ok... but enabling F8 will allow you to get to the smsts.log which should contain some more information about why the single OS package is failing.

OK, it looks like (as descripted in the logs) that the Hash Value for the package GID00004 is not correct.
I've seen this before with Boot WIMS, if GID00004 is a boot WIM package, then try creating a new Boot Wim, deploying it to the relevant DPs, assigning it to th TS and try again.
If GID00004 is not a Boot WIM, then try updating the package, and keep an eye on DistMgr.log to ensure it get's distributed Ok.

OK, now the package with an hash error is GID0002A .. which is the OS Install Package, Check the source directory for files with odd characters, or extremely long directory paths .. this can sometime cause a hash-check mismatch.
Hash could not be matched for the downloded content. Original ContentHash = A9173DC49D149170C0F7F5526154AC4381ED0DC0, Downloaded ContentHash = 88601C0BA124401EA13790D2F318AF04CB283DD1      ApplyOperatingSystem

Update the distribution points of the package that was failing. I have had this same problem and a distribution point update will fix it.

  • Failed Run Task Sequence Error (0x80070570)

    Hi,
I Have problem with deployment windows vista enterprise:
    Failed to Run Task Sequence
An error occurred while starting the task sequence (0x80070570).For More information, please contact your system administrator or helpdesk operator.
It's possible problem Hardware or in my System Center ?
    Thanks

Apologies for resurrecting an old thread. I could not resist as my solution to this issue was far different than what was posted here or anywhere else.
I had this issue on a machine that had been deploying fine with a standard build TS. At some point, this error began occurring every time I invoked the TS.
As it turns out, one time during my testing, I had powered off the machine via the power button in the midst of the TS's routine. This just caused it to go wackadoodle and left behind some files that upon restarting the TS could not be overwritten (for whatever
    reason).
To fix, I had to run diskpart via cmd while in PE for the TS. To do this, cmd support must be on for the TS. Just press F8, diskpart, sel dis 0 and clean. Voila! Should be fixed now. Or at least in my case it was.

  • Fails to run Task Sequence (error 0x80008014)

    Hello,
I am facing a strange problem.
The environment is a SCCM 2007 SP2 system.
I am using Task sequences for many years now. For OS deployment and deploying multi application updates.
packages / programs are configured with admin rights and whether or "no user is logged on"
I integrated these packages /programs in a os deployment task. This was successful.
When using the same packages / programs in a task sequence for deploying these software packages the ts faisl.
Checking exexmgr.log I can see the following message "TS Step required to run in user context, targeted to user or requiring user input. Rejecting." Which I don't understand at all.
I stripped down the ts to only one application to install. The error is the same.
In other logs I found these error messages:
Failed to delete registry value HKLM\Software\Microsoft\SMS\Task Sequence\System Health Agent. Error code 0x80070002
failed to invoke execution manager to install software for package id
Í checked the SCCM client on the SCCM server and the one which is installed. Both are version 4.00.6487.2000.
Thanks for your feedback on this,
    Thanks,
    Andy
