Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

CO - AutoPost and Manual Post

Dear All,
I have a question about Cost Element Cat - 12 and Value Field of Auto Post and Manual Post.
In original design, I have a GL account which is from SD, Cost Element Cat 12, mapped to 1 value field. In KE30 report, value display with '-' sign.
Now, users want to have manual adjustment on this account. I think I will not turn off the AutoPost only flag in FS00. But I would like to create another Manual Account for this, on the other hand, I don't want to create a new Value Field for this Manual Account. Is that possible group Auto and Manual Account into 1 value field ? I did a testing in QAS, the figure in KE30 is not match with FS00. Since, the sign for AutoPost Account and Manual Post Account is different from CO side ? Any work around soultion ??

Hi,
You can assign different condition types to a single value field.
You can also assign two GL accounts to one value field. For this, you need to have the corresponding cost elements in a row or you need to have a group of such cost elements so that you can assign the group while defining the source in PA Transfer Structure.
Sometimes, there will be a difference between the KE30 value and the gl account balance value because, noramlly you view the gl account balance company code wise, whereas the KE30 report may show the value for a segment, which may be different from company code. (for ex, segment may consist of company code, customer, product, etc.)

Have you tried using another WiFi network? Or reset your router? Uplug it for about 30 seconds and then plug it in again. Sometimes that can really work wonders.
You may also have a corrupt backup and deleting the current backup might help. I wouldn't delete the backup without backing up to iTunes first. If you don't use iTunes, that won't be an option, but it may come down to having to delete the backup anyway if nothing else will work.

Undo tablespace currupt and no clean backup

Hello,
We are facing critical problem with database. We have not any clean backup and database in no archive log mode. Suddenly database is shutdown and when we are trying to open database it is giving error:-
ORA-01172: recovery of thread 1 stuck at block 350230 of file 3
ORA-01151: use media recovery to recover block, restore backup if needed
File 3 is Undo file.
Is there any way to open database?

1) First, follow Howardjr recomendations and allways do a backup first.
2) Open a SR with Metalink to help with your problem
3) If you want to try something here are some options, but never skip the point 1 previously explained.
Well, you have two possible scenarios, one supported other unsupported.
This is an inconsistency issue..
Solution
============
*1]Supported Solution:*
Restore-Incomplete recovery the DB from backup or rebuild the DB using an export dump.
*2]Internal (Not-supported) Solution:*
Update undo$ to change the status$ = 1 (undo segment is dropped) for the corrupted undo segment.
Caution:
This is NOT a supported solution. Therefore ensure that a full database cold backup is taken bbefore doing this data-dictionary patching.
Steps to do the patching:
1) First ensure that a full database backup is taken.
2) Modify/add the following parameters in initSID.ora:
undo_management=manual
job_queue_processes =0
aq_tm_processes=0
systemtrig_enabled=false
3) Shutdown
4) Startup restrict pfile
5) set transaction use rollback segment system;
if set transaction above fails, then not to proceed further.
6) Update undo$ to change the status$ = 1 (undo segment is dropped) for
the corrupt undo segment.
update undo$ set status$ = 1
where us# = <'undo segment id'>
and ts#=<'tablespace id'>
and file#=<'file id'>
and block# = <'block id'>
and status$=2;
or
update undo$ set status$ = 1
where name = <'corrupt undo segment name'>
and status$=2;
This will update only 1 row. Rollback the update if more than 1 row is updated.
7) Commit;
8) Shutdown abort
9) Set back in init.ora parameters modified in Step 2.
Startup restrict
10) Drop the corrupt undo tablespace using command:
drop tablespace <corrupt undo tablespace name> including contents;
11) Create new undo tablespace.
In initSID.ora, set undo_management=auto, undo_tablespace=<'new undo tablespace name'>
Restart the instance.
12) Take a backup.
*Parameter offlinerollback_segments is not useful:*
Trying to drop the corrupt undo segment or the undo tablespace by setting parameters undo management=manual and offline_rollback_segments in initSID.ora will fails with error: ORA-00600 [ktssdrp1].
To see the information about the corrupt block use this query:
select us#, name, ts#, file#, block#,status$ from undo$
where (ts#, file#, block#) not in
(select ts#, file#, block# from seg$ where type# in (1,10)) and status$ > 1;I had the same problem some time ago, and the unsupported solution works great, but never try it without a full backup first.

UNDO_TABLESPACE=AUTO and UNDO_TABLESPACE='' What happens?

If UNDO_TABLESPACE=AUTO and UNDO_TABLESPACE='' What happens after instance startups?
I am citing on-line doc '...When the instance starts up, Oracle automatically selects for use the first available undo tablespace. If there is no undo tablespace available, the instance starts, but uses the SYSTEM rollback segment. This is not recommended in normal circumstances, and an alert message is written to the alert file to warn that the system is running without an undo tablespace...'
Questions :
1. If database has no undo tablespace avalilable and instance use SYSTEM rollback segment. Is it possible apply UNDO_* parameters to the SYSTEM rollback segment?
2. Database has undo tablespaces, but still UNDO_TABLESPACE=''(UNDO_TABLESPACE parameter is set to empty). Will instance use any of undo tablespaces first?

If the need to know this is dire it is possible to find file extent events via dump of the redo log files using alter system dump logfile '/some/logfile' layer 14 opcode 4;
By reviewing the output you can find the file extensions but for an ongoing requirement create a snapshot of dba_data_files and update it daily or on another schedule depending on your needs.
There might be something in the AWR but using the AWR requires a Performace Pack License which is an extra cost so I generally do not have access to it so I have never looked close enough to know if any useful extent information is there. It will have a limited life so rolling your own is still probably your best long-term solution but the source of the data could change.

Iso set to auto and camera adjust it to 400 with flash unit On

What about that ?! In Av, Tv and Manual modes, when the flash is turned on, that my ISO settings are on AUTO, when I pressed half shutter, the camera set the ISO back to 400!
Now I have to fix my iso manually to 800, 1600 or else to be able to catch some ambient light!!
Why !!? I want it to be auto, not 400 ! I request a fix to this issue or a On/Off at least !

Interesting. I just shoot in Manual when trying to do something way off-exposure with flash. I have never noticed the ISO resetting itself though. What camera are you using?

ITunes auto vs. manual

Hey everyone...quick question:
I use my home PC as my "home" for my iTunes library (iPod sync is set to automatic) and everything works great there. But I have a couple of other computers (a laptop and my desktop at work) that I would like to use to manually transfer the occasional podcast or something to the iPod. It seems that the PC at work thinks that IT is the iPod's home library though. I've set all of the iPod sync settings to manual in iTunes, but every time I connect the iPod, it goes back to automatic and tries to sync. Is there a way to make this installation of iTunes "forget" about the iPod? Maybe a registry key I can clear or something?

You can't have the iPod on automatic update on one computer and manual on another. You'll have to make it one or the other. If you even temporarily went to manual on a different computer as soon as you went back to auto at home whatever you put on will be erased: Using iPod with Multiple computers

No backup? Never a good idea to not maintain a backup of your important data. If you do not have a backup, follow these instructions:
By design, the iphone will sync itunes content with one computer at a time. Any attempt to sync such content with a second computer will result in ALL itunes content being first erased from your phone & then replaced with the content from the second computer. This is a design feature and cannot be overridden. Because you formatted your computer, your phone, will see your computer as a "new" computer. The itunes content sync is one way: computer to phone. If you have photos that were synced to your phone or music ripped on your own that were not backed up, you will first have to extract them from your phone using third party software, before you do anything else:

Once you've done that, do the following in the order specified:
1. Disable auto sync when an ipod/iphone is connected under preferences in itunes(under the edit menu).
2. Make sure you have one contact & one event in whatever supported applications you use for contact & calendar syncing. These entries can be fake, doesn't matter, the important point is that these programs not be empty.
3. Connect your phone, itunes running, do not sync at this point.
4. Store>Authorize this computer.
5. File>Transfer Purchases(To make sure all purchased content on your phone will be in your itunes library).
6. Right click in the device pane & select reset warnings.
7. Right click again and select backup.
8. Right click again & select restore from backup, select the backup you just made. When prompted to create another backup, decline.
9. This MUST be followed by a sync to restore your itunes content, which you select from the various tabs, You'll get a popup regarding your contacts & calendars asking to merge or replace, select merge.
That's as good as it gets without a backup of your itunes library and other important data..

Voltage options in bios all set to auto and greyed out

I have a MSI X48C motherboard. The bios allows me to change the FSB, FSB/Memory ratio along with a couple of other values, but all the voltages are set to auto and greyed out so I can't change them. I don't understand why this is the case. How am I able to change these voltages. I have tried enabling and disabling various functions in the bios, but nothing seems to unlock the voltages. What do I have to do?

It states this at the bottom of each bios screen, the help menu states this information, and the manual states it.

Difference Btwn Syncing and Manual? (I know how)

Is there a difference between syncing and manually adding your music to your ipod? I mean, I know auto syncing does it automatically and manual you have to add the music in, but . . . does syncing do or add anything else to your ipod other than music? Hey thanks. For some reason I always thought that auto-syncing added alot more than just the music to the ipod. Don't know why I thought this. I'm ok w/ratings and playcounts not being added as I don't pay attention to this anyways.
Since we have a new computer and new itunes, we finally got out of the 'registration loop' we had been in and can now get to the summary page to actually manually manage things. Thanks again!

View open qty and manually close SO

Hi,
Example : I have SO with qty 10pcs, but only 3pcs are delivered, the remaining 7pcs are yet to be delivered. Hence, this SO is still open. The thing now is that I want to see the open qty and manually close the SO.
I tried with VA05 but it doesn't show the open qty. What transaction to view the open qty? How to manually close an open SO? Is there a button or checkbox that I can just click on it to close the SO?

Hi,
As said that you want to close the sales order for 7 qty of total 10 qty.
When do the following.
Goto the sales order created, goto the line item eg 10 scroll towards right side of the screen to find the field " Reason for Rejection" assign the relavent message why you want to close the order for remaining quantity.
If you have many line items you can reject the undeliveried line items if you want them not to delivery.

My Apps wont update auto or Manually

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix an issue with the apps not updating automatically and Manually. Automatic is turned on in settings and i'm on IOS 7.1

In one sense you are correct but updating apps individually seems to be less problematic. Have you tried restarting your iPad? Have you tied a Reset? [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. The screen will go blank and then power ON again in the normal way.] It is app and data safe!
