Question

Hi,
1.Q
After first time schedule, some activities are confirmed and some are partially confirmed. Now When i run schedule again, does dates of subsequent activity are changesd? If yes, then does system stores the first time schedule dates any where.
2.Q After first time schedule, some activities are confirmed and some are partially confirmed. Some activities are compled before earliest schedule dates. Now where can see projected dates for next activity, which gives me idea how early i can complete as pervious activites completed before expected.

Hello Sachin,
please verify following
For Q 1 :
If you confirm few activities, in the next schedule run system will consider the actual dates and schedule remaining acitivities. Earliest and latest dates of confirmed activity loose significance. Next activity earliest date is considered after the actual finish of confirmed activity and accordingly other activities in network are scheduled as per the releations maintained.
For Q 2 :
Incase of partial confirmed activities, the consideration is dependent of shift order indicator setting. If you tick shift order indicator in scheduling parameters, parital confirmed activity earliest start date is shifted to actual start and finish date will be calulated based on frcst duration for completion of remaining work.  If you donn tick this indicator, partial confirm activities are treated as normal activities i.e. their earliest and latest dates are consdiered.
If you want have track of previous dates, Assuming Network determines dates and Bottom-up scenario.
transfer basic dates to frcst dates first for network. in T-code CJ20N. Edit--- Dates -- Trnsfr basic to frcst.
1) Then schedule Frcst dates for WBS elements. T-code CJ20N. Seetings --- set of dates -- forecast dates.
2) Then WBS level frcst dates are determined by scheduling.
Than again repeat step 2 . ( Back to basic dates).
As project progress, some changes happen.....you do scheduling. Each schedule run will update basic dates at WBS level.
Frcst dates in WBS level always refer to orginal basic dates.
