Scenario in SRM

Hi
Please suggest how to find out that customer hase created PO in which scenario either classic, extended classic or local.
Thanks
Preeti Khurana

Hi,
How about BBP_PD transaction?
If there is no PO in SRM -> Classic
If there is PO in SRM -> Extended Classic or Local
Check the document status in BBP_PD. If there is status transfered or transfer is failed, It is Extended Classic.

Please, Suggest the solution to solve this problem.

    Hi Prateek,
I am doing Plant driven procurement service enablement scenario by using XI 7.0, for this,
we are integrating MM & SRM SUS Through XI 7.0 (MM -- XI-- SRM SUS).
    For doing this Scenario,
    1. Downloaded XI Content for SRM
    2. Imported  XI Content into the IR
3.After importing, Plan_Driven_Procurement_SupplierEnablement Scenario was enabled.
Here, MM side SWCV is R/3 4.6 is available by default. but in my case i need to change to ECC 6.0(bcoz,currently we r using ECC 6.0 version )

    Introduction:
SAP PPS1.0 is an addon to SAP SRM5.0 addressing requirements of public sector procurement. SAP SRM is used as functional frontend to support the main procurement processes:
    Public tendering
    Awarding
    Contract negotiation
    Purchase order creation
SAP PPS1.0 has been designed to work in the extended classic scenario, where SAP ERP 2004 functions as backend supporting the processes:
    Sales Order processing
    Purchase Requisition processing
    Goods Receipt processing
    Invoice Receipt processing
    Main Features:
PPS 1.0 features a couple of unique functions designed for the needs of public sector customers, namely:
    Document Builder Integration
    Records Management Integration
    Smart document numbering
    Funds Management integration
    Acceptance at Origin
    Central Contractor Registration (CCR)
    Contract Tracking and Monitoring
    Close Out Execution
    Enhanced Versioning
    FPDS Reporting
    Guaranteed Minimum
    Maximum Quantity per Period
    Public Sector User Status
    Reason Codes for Document Changes
    Smart numbering of procurement documents
    Selective Release
    Sourcing Priorization
In the next couple of blog posts I want to describe the different features and  give some guidelines for the implementation of the functionality.
    What Next?
I plan to start with the smart numbering which is called as well "long procurement number"

  • SUS-MM integration in Classic Scenario for SRM

    Hello All,
We are using SAP SRM in classic Scenario.
We also plan to integrate SUS with MM .
Looks like in the Classic Scenario with SRM , only the Direct material procurement is possible
    using MM- SUS.
How would the SUS-MM integration work for Indirect PO's.
    Our Process is as follows:
    1) Shopping cart created in SRM for Indirect material & approved ( with cost assignment)
    2) Classic PO created in backend & sent to SUS
After this step is it possible that the Vendor create the GR in SUS and it is sent to ECC for Approva through PI l??
    Thanks

    > Is it possible in Classic Scenario, to send the SUS confirmation to SRM instead and from there to ECC
NO. dont think of a situation like that. if it is classic scenario except SC every thing will in ECC. how do you think confirmation creation can be possible in SRM when PO is not present in SRM!!
    > Can you provide some details on ECC workflows. I didn't find any thing on this. Does ECC even support workflows as SRM?
    >
SRM is a kiddo infront of ECC, so workflows definitely are present in ECC(not BRFs but event driven wfs).
any ways, your solution would be a custom solution, implement MB_DOCUMENT_BADI, to trigger a custom WF from custom event. this can be used for notification and stuff. but it wont stop the execution, so, dig on it how to stop the GR post till the workflow is not over.
and invoice anyways has workflows which you can use

  • URGENT: advantages of scenarios in SRM

    hi Everybody,
i want to know the advantages of technical scenarios like classic, extended classic,decoupled,standalone.....
why we r using these scenarios in SRM...........
pls let me know these wth suitable answers from ur side.so pls put an eye on this issues asap..............
    warm regards
    rakhi

    Hi Rakhi,
SRM technical scenarios explain the possible variants how SRM can be deployed and used in integration with the backend system. The advantages can be outlined purely based on the business needs and their and process. Hence first outline your business needs then with that analyse which technical implementation would be ideal for your requirement.
At some cases Classic may be advantages and some other case it might not be. Hence this is completely dependent on your client/your business process.
Because this plays a key role in determining where the document gets created first (PO, Confirmation, Invocie etc).
More info on the scenarios at SDN wiki.

  • Service procurement & implementation scenario in SRM 7.0

    Hi Guys,
I would like to know if in SRM 7.0 the new Service Procurement External Staffing scenario would work in the Extended classic scenario implementation? Or is this only supported in standalone?
Do we have to custom build the document exchange between ECC - SRM - SUS for confirmation and invoice documents like in SRM 5.0. I am searching for a possibilty to let the service agents themselfs fill in the confirmation with the service entry sheet.
If the extended classic scenario is supported then we are quickly done. Other possibility is to let an existing web application (to capture time sheets) generate a XML confirmation message and send this message to EBP via XI. This way the hours can also be captured. Invoicing can then by handled e.g. by ERS. What do you think?
    Thx.
    Skander

    Hi Muthu,
Thx for your response, but these blogs do not provide an anwser to my question. I have read the release documentation of SRM 7.0, but even then I still have the above question.
Will this business scenario work in combination witht the extended classsic scenario (and how does SUS fits in this picture)?
    Kind Regards,

  • PO text transfer to Back-end in case of Extended Classic Scenario in SRM 4.

    Dear experts,
My system is in SRM 4.0 in Extended Classic Scenario. We use in the PO internal note text and vendor But thses texts are not transfered to Back-end.
    Is it normal?
Do I need to customize something?
Can it be achieved by BADi? How then?
OR is it only possible from SRM 5.0?
    Thanks in advance
    RD

Yes you can do this. Implement BADI BBP_CREATE_BE_PO_NEW, Refer parameter IS_SC_DOCUMENT>LONGTEXT,  and CS_PO_DOCUMENT>IT_PO_ITEM_TEXT. Map the exact text-id of the R/3.
Note: if this BADI is not present, use BBP_CREATE_PO_BACK

  • Classic Scenario in SRM 7.0

    Hi,
I have a doubt. Please correct me if I am wrong:
    -  As per my knowledge, confirmation and invoice can be created either in SRM or ECC in SRM 5.0. However in the SRM 7.0
confirmation and invoice can not be created in SRM 7.0. It has to be create ECC.
    - In plant drive procurement both confirmation and invoic has to create in ECC. It should not be create in SRM 7.0.
    Thanks in advance.
    BR,
    Jennifer

    Hi Jeniffer,
In SRM 7.0 also, you can continue to create confirmation and invoice  in classic scenario against your shopping cart.
Plan driven procurement is not supported for direct materials in classic scenario. You have to use extended classic scenario i.e. in such cases PO, follow-up confirmation and invoicing can be done SRM as well.
    Thanks and regards,
    Ranjan

  • BBPSC18 - Request for external staff - Classic Scenario in SRM 5.0 possible

    Hello Community,
one of my customers wants to use "Reqest for External Staff". As far as I remember, in SRM 5.0 it is only possible in "Standalone Scenario".
Is this assumption correct? So not possible in Classic Scenario?
How about "Extended Classic"? Probably not possible either, right?
Thanks for any help or input!
    Cheers, Julian

    Hi Rahul,
    thanks for your answer!
Actually I am only looking into the part "Request for External Staff" - "Acceppt Bid" - "Create PO (Classic in ERP)".
I have seen that this part works in SRM 7.01.
But currently we are not planning to upgrade. We are still on 5.0.
I tested the abovementioned process in our DEV-System. I behaves fine, no error messages. But when I want to create the PO out of the "Check Status" (yes, in SRM 5.0 this was possible), the system pretends to create a PO but it never gets created. So I just wonder if I missed some customizing, or if this also only works in Standalone or if there maybe is a smart technical workaround (some custom coding etc...).
    Cheers, Julian

  • Extended classic scenario in SRM 7.1

    Hi colleagues,
we want top use SRM 7.1 with extended classic scenario and we want to create POs in SRM and reflect them in ERP backend. The question is it possible somehow to change those POs aftewards (e.q. add confirmations, transportation costs, etc...) in ERP? Or is there any way to trasnfer POs in hold status from SRM to ERP and then change them in ERP?
    Thanks and regards, Anton

    Hi Anton,
PO is created a in SRM as local and a copy( copy does not contain the entire PO info, only the useful for the backend) is being sent to R3.
DO NOT try to search a workaround for modification in the backend..sooner or later you will be incurring in incosisnten data and misalignmentes.
SRM is the PO golden source.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Abraham

  • Classic scenario using SRM SOCO

    Dear Experts,
    We use SRM7.0.
We want to use classic scenario u2013 creating backend PO and not SRM PO.
Can we use the SRM SOCO if we want to create backend PO ?
To clarify myself, can we implement this procurement process:
    1. SRM SC
    2. The SC will go to the SRM SOCO u2013 Sourcing cockpit
    3. The purchaser will create backend PO from the SC items on the SOCO
Or in case we want backend PO, we must use ME57 on ECC system ?
    Thanks and regards,
    Lori

    Hi Lori
It is possible to create a Purchase order in the backend from the  SRM cockpit ( but it should not be order as Direct) by the Purchaser in the classic scenario.
Are you finding any difficulties ?
shopping cart create and ITS  venture to cockpit  upon sourcing configuration
add vendor  and price in the shopping cart  item or propose source of supply
and click PO creation and PO number will be generated from SRM system and PO will be avaiulable in ECC system .
BBP_CREATE_BE_PO_NEW - Purchase Order in Backend System
Using BusinessAdd-In BBP_CREATE_BE_PO_NEW you can change all the data thatis transferred to the backend system for generation of a purchase order. This includes, for example, the item data, the account assignment data, and texts.
All the shopping cart data is available as input parameters.
Ricardo / Lisa - please confirm the same when you read this thread and appreciate your comments here

  • Confirmation/ Invoice Scenarios in SRM 4.0

    Greetings!!
I am doing research on the following and appreciate any inputs:
System Info: SRM 4.0,  Classic Scenario, R/3 4.6c
a.)Can we delete a confirmation if Invoice is not created for both Service and Material items?
b.)Can we do a return delivery if invoice is not created for both service and Material Items?
c.)Can we delete a confirmation if Invoice is created for both Service and Material items?
d.)Can we do a return delivery if invoice is created for both service and Material Items?
I know confirmations can be deleted in held/ or in approval process when an invoice is not created
Points will be rewarded for useful answers..
    Thanks.

  • About standard scenarios on SRM

    Hi,
We are planning to install SRM 7.01 in its most general scenario.
Supliers will access Business Packages for SRM and BSP's for SUS via portal deployed on DMZ.
We need to know if its possible to deploy SRM Servers also in DMZ while leaving rest of systems on a inner securized network to avoid that if the WAS (WD a BSP) is hacked, the intruder has not direct access to the rest of systems in securized networks.
    Thanks

    Hi,
We have searched in official Master and Security Guide and other documentation and didn't find any explicit mention to the landscape I described.
Looking at diagrams we think it's possible but we will thank you any experienced on that.
    Thanks

  • File to IDoc scenario in SRM

    Hello All,
I am executing a scenario involving File to IDoc using an XSLT interface mapping.

      </SAP:Error>
I tested the XSLT mapping alone in Repository and it is working fine.
    Please suggest on this issue.
    Regards, Namadev

    Hi Namdev,
//Tag ORDERHEADER found instead of tag IDOC BEGIN"
I think this error is due to a problem either in your source file or your mapping. When the IDOC is to be sent to the destination system, it expects the first tag to be <b><IDOC begin = ></b> , but I dont think that is happening in your mapping.
As you are doing XSLT mapping, I would suggest you test your mapping and check if the destination Message that is created matches with the IDOC structure.

  • Follow on documents for SC in ECS scenario in SRM 5.0

    Hi all,
We are on SRM 5.0,ECS.Is it possible that we can have the PO created,Invoice posted and then GR done in SRM?How is this sequence determined and what are the relevat settings to restrict this...i.e. I would like to have the PO done and then w/o GR,Finanance cannot post the invoice.
Also in terms of accounting, how much control is in SRM?
    Thanks!

    Hi
    Try this
    1. Do not have the GR based Invoice Indicator ticked on in the SRM Purchase Order
    2. Then create an Invoice with reference to the Purchase Order.
This path is generally not recocmmended as you dont want your vendors to get payments unless they deliver goods to you. Try to sort out the issues with Goods recipients.
If its a Non PO stuff, then SAP Provides a non PO Invoice feature in SRM though...
