SCEP for Linux (Redhat) and Disconnected WSUS

I operate in an environment that has an isolated network and I leverage a disconnected WSUS for updates. This works well with updating the Windows SCEP client. Can the disconnected WSUS also be used to update the SCEP running on Linux (Red Hat)? What would
be the configuration of the Linux client?
Thanks
Tom

System Center 2012 includes an Endpoint Protection client for Linux and for Mac computers. These clients are not supplied with Configuration Manager; instead, you must download the following products from the
Microsoft Volume Licensing Service Center.
System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection for the Mac
System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection for Linux
Important
You must be a Microsoft Volume License customer to download the Endpoint Protection installation files for Linux and the Mac.
These products cannot be managed from the Configuration Manager console. However, a System Center Operations Manager management pack is supplied with the installation files, which allows you to manage the client for Linux by using Operations Manager.
For more information about how to install and manage the Endpoint Protection clients for Linux and Mac computers, use the documentation that accompanies these products, which is located in the

  • Oracle 11g v11.1.0.7.0 for Linux RedHat?

    Hello,
can anybody tell me if there is a Oracle 11g v11.1.0.7.0 available for Linux RedHat, maybe a Pre-Version for Oracle-Customers/Partners?
A problem was reported to us pertaining to some privilege problems under Oracle 11g v11.1.0.7.0 / Linux, but i cannot find any version on:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/database/index.html
There is only a v11.1.0.7.0 for Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and the last version for Linux is there v11.1.0.6.0.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    -Lars-

The case with Windows 2008 exists because there was no way to install 11.1.0.6 on that platform, so the process of 'install and patch' is not possible. Therefore they needed to 'fix' the initial install for that specific plaftform and it is their policy to only release to the 'current patch set' (which was 11.1.0.7 at the time).
With Linux, you can 'make it work' with newer versions (eg: RH 5u4) by providing the appropriate compat libraries, therefore the original 'install and patch' process is still valid.
Making Linux 11.1.0.7 available would nullify their Support mechanisms.

  • Where to download OAS9i V1.0.2.2 for Linux RedHat RH6.2(kernel 2.2.16 or later) use?

So that we may better diagnose problems, please provide the following information.

    - Filename
    - Date/Time: 2/6/2002
    - Browser + Version: Netscape 6
    - O/S + Version: Linux RedHat 6.2 (Kernel 2.2.19, glibc 2.1.3)
    - Error Msg
I am a member of OTN, and I tried to download and test OAS9i for my platform - Linux RedHat 6.2(Kernel 2.2.19, glibc 2.1.3), and I tried to find the related OAS9i product for Linux use from your site "Oracle9iAS Download Options", but I got a confused about those items, I found v1.0.2.2.1 OAS9i image *.cp file there, but there installation guide itself shows that it is for V1.0.2.2 use, that is for Intel Linux use(Kernel 2.2.14 or later, glibc 2.1.3), however, the image *.cp file which could be downloaded is V1.0.2.2.1, is for Intel RH7.1 Linux use(Kernel 2.4.3-12, glibc 2.2.2-10).
So that's very strange, and I want to know that where can I download the *.cp files for Intel Linux RH6.2 use(Kernel 2.2.19 or later, glibc 2.1.3), my platform is RH6.2 because I heart that Intel Linux RedHat's version over 6.2 doesn't be certificated by ORACLE, so I always use Intel RedHat 6.2 as my basic platform, so who can tell me where to download the imgae *.cp files for my platform use? Or any suggestion?
    Thanks in advance!

  • JDK 1.4.2 for Linux Redhat 5 on x86_64 (amd64) ?

    Hi,
i need to install a Netweaver 2004s on a Redhat 5 x86_64 system. But I can't find a source for downloading the correct JDK or SDK version.
OSS 941595 provides a link to java.sun.com with a special package for SAP-software, but it provides only solaris and windows packages. On java.sun.com it looks like there is no package for linux x86_64 previous java 1.5.x.
I found a SAP-presentation, on it they refer to an IBM-rpm java package which should work. But were to download it? On ibm.com I could not find it...
    Thanks for any hints!
    Roland

    hi,
    thanks for your answer!
    But there they provide:
    - j2sdk-1_4_2_12-linux-i586.bin --> this is 32bit
    - j2sdk-1_4_2_12-linux-ia64.bin --> this is IA64 (also called "Itanium"), which is NOT the same as x86_64 (also called Amd64 or Intel64)
    - and some solaris-packages, which I also can not use
The problem is to find a package for Linux x86_64. I need this platform to be able to use more than 4gb memory...

  • Versions of PHP and libxml2 for Linux Redhat

I installed PHP 5.3.19. I had two choices from http://php.net/downloads.php. Version 5.4 or 5.3. The latest version of libxml2 available for RHEL 5.5 is 2.6.26 release 2.1.15. Should I go with this one or should I download a later version for Fedora, and if so which one, or should I download an earlier version of PHP to go with libxml2 2.6.26 release 2.1.15 and if so which one?
    Edited by: 944901 on Dec 11, 2012 11:06 AM

    - Oracle Linux 5 is also available from the repo I mentioned.
    - There are 8 extensions in the PHP source that require libxml2. I don't know which one(s) you want. I have built some in the past on OL. I expect many other people have built PHP and some or all of the XML-based extensions on RH or OL 5.x. You won't have difficulty testing it yourself since building command line PHP takes only a few steps; just don't pass an with-apxs2 flag to PHP's "configure" command. You can choose which extensions you want, such as with-simplexml (which is default, BTW)
    - The PHP RPMs will not install on OHS because the RPMs depend upon, and install into, the httpd RPM
    - The OHS web page you mentioned wasn't written by me (and is slightly obsolete regarding header files, though I've often requested the owner update it). The best instructions for installing on OHS are in the newly updated The Underground PHP and Oracle Manual. See page 86.
    - Again, I'd recommend using PHP 5.4.

  • Oracle9i for Linux/390 and Oracle9i for z/Linux

    Hi,
For those who asked about testing on SLES7 and getting a trial copy of SLES7 (since it now costs money), apparently SuSE will furnish trial copies of their distribution. They can be obtained through the SuSE sales rep.
    Barry

I too have managed to get oracle installed on RedHat 2.4.9-17 kernel (Linux/390). However, I am kinda stuck there - I am completely new to Oracle. Is there some basic literature available on things like how to see the database schema (I ran the "@mkdb" cmd in the installation process, and I guess that created some sample database)? or how to look at the table data? I tried the following:
    $ sqlplus /nolog
    SQL*Plus: Release ...
    (c) Copyright ...
    SQL> connect scott/tiger@p901_tcp
    Connected
    SQL> select * from dba_users
    2 .
    SQL> help
    SP2-0171: HELP not accessible
    SQL> quit
Disconnected from Oracle9i Enterprise Edition ...
    $
    Any pointers? thanx,
    -Ashutosh

  • 9i, Linux RedHat and INSO filter not working

    Hi,
In October last year in this forum,
    How to position the applet
information given was that one needed to download
a path for bug N0 2037255 to get the filter to work.
Talk was then about RedHat v7.1. The patch seems
to be needed in our v7.3 as well.
We have fetched the patch and read it's documentation.
It talks about RedHat Advanced Server. Is this Advanced
Server a requirement for the patch to install and work properly? Wouldn't it work as well in "standard" RedHat?

    I don't understand:
My spatial data does not use projection (the SRIDs are 262148).
What is 262148? It is an SRID that isn't in the 8.1.7.4 database.
If the SRID isn't an issue, you might want to make sure the coordinate
system bounds of the geometries match if your data is coming from two
different tables and they both have quadtree indexes built on them.
If the coordinate system bounds don't match, then you can see this kind of problem.
    Hope this helps,
    Dan

    Hi,
My question is the same as the subject written.
Can OAS9i and Portal be installed on Linux RedHat(kernel 2.2.19) platform? Basically, first, I can't find the OAS9i "*.cp" image files for RedHat Kernel 2.2.16 or later use, second, what I can download from OTN site is V1.0.2.2.1 which is for Linux RedHat Kernel 2.4.3-12 or later use. And I downloaded all the files which OAS9i version is V1.0.2.2.1, and failed to install on my platform. So I want to know is there anybody installing OAS9i and Portal successfully on RedHat 6.2(Kernel 2.2.19, glibc 2.1.3)? Or can share on other RedHat version had any successful installation processes or suggestion. Thanks in advance.
