Schedule backup on the date 1year later from current date

I am a BASIS guy. I want to schedule a DB *backup on 21st december, 2012*. Is it possible? If possible then how to do it? Please help.

Which SAP release you are using ? SAP_BASIS release/patch level ?
In Older SAP releases (e.g SAP ECC 5.0), you can change the display of planning calendar in DB13 (Calendar -> Calendar Display) by changing value of No. Of weeks Displayed to 99 , value of Index of current week to 2 and Number of items per day to 4 under Calendar Display sizes.
In New SAP Releases with latest BASIS patch level, you will find small calender display near to Action Pad in DB13. You can navigate to the desired Year/Date within that calendar and you can schedule the required actions on that specific date.

You can't backup the iPod t iTunes then. You will have to use an existing iTunes backup.
If iCloud backup is turned on and the iPod is still working (not disabled), the iPod will automatically backup daily if an internet connection is available and the iPod is connected to a charging source.

Backup Error : The Data Is Invalid Windows Server 2008 R2

I have a Problem when I try to make Backups to Partition C in Windows Server 2008 R2:
Error The Data is Invalid.
Obs: I can make backups for System Reserved Partition .
I had the same problem 2 months ago (the data is invalid), Then I folowed this the advice to delete "Framework64\v2.0.50727\Temporary

the issue may be caused by an invalid entry inside the following registry sub tree.
HKey_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList
Please open the registry editor with regedit.
Expand and local to the subtree, check if there is an entry that has a ".bak" value appended. If so, this may be cause the failure when trying to resolve the SID of the writer.
Please backup the registry key first, and then delete that entry with the extra ".bak" and reboot the server then test the backup
Run the command "vssadmin list writers" and make sure all the writers are stable with no errors
Please look for errors in application event logs after you initiate backup on the server

How do you get an ipa off your iPad to backup if the app was removed from the app store and using "Transfer purchases" does not copy the ipa over to iTunes?

Hello everyone. Can anyone shed some light on this problem? If I downloaded an app from the app store called "Print to PDF" that allows opening any application and going to print converts that to a PDF e.g. Safari pages, mail etc and I did not sync or "transfer purchases" for some time and when I look in the app store that app is no longer there so I thought if I could "transfer purchases" iTunes would then have the .ipa and I could back it up and copy it to my iPad 2 but I don't see the ipa in the "mobile applications" directory. How do I get it off my iPad and into iTunes to backup?

Ashka, I have tried to "transfer purchases from device" but that is what I am saying that I do not see the app in the "mobile applications" directory after I do that process. I was wondering if anyone else knew of a way to get to the ipa file that is stored on the iPad such as a program that could browse the directories of the iPad of even an app that could do it so I can get and save the actual app in ipa format.

I feel as though I am forced into repairing the iphone before I can backup the information (photos, videos, contacts). If the apple ID on the device is the same as the one on my iMac I do not understand why I have to unlock the iphone by typing in the 4 digit passcode. This is a little ******** as having the screen break seems to be the usual prpblem with the iphone, I want to be able to backup my files when I feel the obvious need to do so (eg. when it breaks)! Okay folkes, you were right and I was wrong.. I admit it. But I was pretty mad though when I tryed to backup the last few contacts I needed for work and couldn't do so. Worst things are when something gets broken (by me or whatever) when there is an emergency. I needed the contacts off of that phone real fast and couldn't do it, thats what got me real mad. And btw I am a Russian living in Moscow and instead of having an official Apple store we have shopes called ReStore who resell apple devices with ridiculous prices, same thing with the repairs. How can I restore 3rd party app data from my backup in the cloud

First a brief history. I use the iCloud to backup my iPad 2 and hardly ever synch it to itunes on my computer. I got the new iPad and restored the backup of my iPad 2 onto it. All was fine except that an issue I had on my iPad 2's Safari had transferred over to my new iPad. That's is for another discussion. Anyhow I went to the genius bar and they said to just setup my new iPad as a new device and then manually install everything back on it. Stuff like mail, contacts, etc, would be reloaded from the cloud. So I did and I noticed that one of my 3rd party apps, MadPad, had none of my saved data. Does anyone know of a way to restore 3rd party app data from the iCloud? Is there some sort of utility out there that would do this? I don't want to restore it from my previous iPad 2 backup because it will reintroduce the Safari problem back onto my new iPad.

Assuming that you even have a backup with the data in it, you have no choice but to use a backup in order to restore that data. That is the idea behind backing up to iCloud. If that is the only backup that you have - then that is the one that you have to use.
But if the backup is bad - or had corrupt data - then you will end up with the corrupt data again. You cannot selectively restore app data from a backup. you restore all settings and data - or nothing at all.

If I delete a backup on iCloud, will that erase the data from that backup on my phone?

I had to get a replacement iPhone 5 because of a faulty power button on my first one. In order to keep my data, I used iCloud to backup my phone and transfer it to the replacement. Now I have a backup of my old phone and the replacement and that really limits my available space. (1) Is there a way to merge these together? (2) If I delete the old backup, will the data transferred from it be deleted on the replacement? Sorry if this is confusing and thanks in advance for any helpful information.

You can't merge backups. Also, deleting a backup only permanently deletes it from iCloud; it doesn't do anything to the data currently on the phone. If you no longer need your old backup go ahead and delete it.

Thanks for jumping in quickly - appreciate it. I did do a backup but the data within the apps is gone, progress, games, purchased items, etc... Did i miss something when I ran the backup? I wired up the phone to my laptop and did the backup that way, taking icloud out of the loop. I figured that would grab everything. Didn't work though......

The following info covers restoring from earlier backups:
You can choose from up to three of the most recent backups associated with your iCloud account. Each backup shows the date and time the backup was created, as well as the name of the device that created the backup. Unless you want to restore an older backup, choose the most recent backup of the device you want to restore.

I restored the iPhoto Library from yesterday's backup but the photos end in August 2013. Help!

my iPhoto library is located on an external hard drive.
Each time I import photos to the Library I perform a complete Time Machine BackUp with the external drive and iPhoto Library mounted before deleting them from the camera or iPhone.
Yesterday I did just that but something happened that corrupted my iPhoto library.
I opened Time Machine and scrolled back to the last backup, selected the iPhoto Library file and clicked restore.
After it completed. I opened iPhoto. The most recent photo in iPhoto is from August 2013.
It looks like all of the photos between August 2013 and yesterday are missing.
Is there any way to restore the complete library back to the most recent version?
Note, each time I ran the Time Machine backup the external drive with the iPhoto Library was connected to the Macbook Pro and included in the locations to be backed up.

The original image files are missing form your iPhoto library or iPhoto cannot find them, because the link to the originals has been broken. The image info is stored in the internal libraries, independent of the original files. That is, why you are still seeing them.
I restored the whole library from my backup.
Try restoring from an older backup, from before you first noticed the problem.
How large is the library, that you restored? Is the file size large enough to hold all your photos, or has the size been reduced? If the library is still large, the photos may still be inside, even if iPhoto cannot find them.

What happened, before your iPhoto library got deleted? Which applications have you been running, or which new software have installed or upgraded? Have you moved the library to a different disk or tried to use it from different user account or access it over the network?

ACS Scheduled Backups + Secondary backup

Hi,
I've got a pair of ACS 5.3's - primary and secondary and am trying to configure scheduled backups to an SFTP server.
I've configured scheduled backups to backup ACS every night at 00:00
System Administration > ... > Operations > Scheduled BackupsSystem Administration > ... > Operations > Scheduled Backups
System Administration > ... > Operations > Scheduled Backups
...which is working fine - although for some reason - the backup size was around 25MB when I was running 5.2 - but is now only 2.5MB since I upgraded to ACS 5.3...?
My question is:
- What does the scheduled backup include? Does it contain the ACS configuration (network device and user database, and policy etc) AND the ADE device config (the 'sh run' when you ssh to the ACS/ADE platform) - or is it just the ACS config? ie. is it the equivalent of the CLI command 'backup backupname repository myrepository' (ACS+ADE) or 'acs backup backupname repository myrepository' (just ACS)?
Also - with the scheduled backup - it only seems to create a backup from the primary ACS - but never creates a backup from the secondary ACS If the scheduled backup contains both the ACS databse and the ADE config - then that covers the whole primary ACS - but that means that the secondary's ADE config is never backed up? If you do a manual CLI backup from the secondary - you get a backup file created and transferred - although it's only small as it only contains the ADE config - but I'm confused why this isn't done as part of the scheduled backup?

TAC have just answered this question for me:
The Scheduled Backups feature backs up ACS configuration data only (all the GUI config, NDs,policies, user credentials etc).
It’s NOT equivalent to the CLI command 'backup backupname repository ’
It’s actually equivalent to the CLI command “'acs backup backupname repository” (This is ACS config data only).
The scheduled backup on the Primary will create an ACS configuration backup only. And since the Primary ACS and Secondary ACS should be in sync and the Primary controls any change in the database that’s fine (because it’s only config, no logs and no ADE OS data)
So you need to backup your ADE config separately - either a one off manual backup from the GUI (System Administration > ... > Operations > Distributed System Management) - from the primary - and select 'ADE-OS and ACS Configuration Backup ' - AND then do the same for the secondary (still via the primary GUI). Or do a 'backup backupname repository ' from both primary and secondaries.
Or - backup the 'sh run' type config from both primary and secondary.
Hope that helps anyone else looking for the same answers. The documentation isn't that clear for this in ACS.
