Schedule date calculation

Hi All,
While creating production order, in scheduling date is not calculating correctly.
In routing for define work center, number of individual capacities is 10.
Working time is 8 Hrs, therefore total capacity is 80 Hrs
In routing for base qty 1 number machine time is given 8 hrs.
There is no weekly off.
Now when i am creating order for 10 numbers base of above details system giving date of next 10 days.
But as per my avaiable capacity it should give schdule date of today only (same day).
I have check same data by increasing capacities and i found by increasing any number of individual capacities system schedule date is not changing.
Plz tell me what shoud problem, is there any master data error or configuration?
Regards
Rajesh

hi,
In the Routing for the material . IN THE OPERATION OVERVIEW - SELECT THE OPERATION IN WHIICH YOU USE THE WORK CENTER WITH 10 CAPACITY - MAINTIANED the tick mark against 'split ' and give the number no 'split'(IN YOUR CASE 10)
so system use how many split that you given in the routing .

  • Help regarding Scheduling date calculation in APO using Condition Technique

    Hi Team,
The below is the issue I am facing. Could you please help me regarding this?
For a material MAT1, a stock of 15 is available today i.e. on 15/05/2014 and a Planned Order of 35 is available on 01/08/2014.  I have created a Sales Order of 50 today i.e. 15/05/2014 for this material with a RDD of 20/05/2014. I have maintained the LEAD and the TRAN times as 5 days and 10 days respectively. These are maintained for a particular Route. LOAD, PICK, and UNLD are 0. In the Location master, I haven't defined any Calendar. So, it has to consider all days as working without any holidays.
For the given RDD of 20/05/2014, system performs the backward scheduling and arrives at a past date of 05/05/2014(20/05/2014-5D-10D) for the MBDAT. Since this date is in the past, the system should set the MBDAT to the current system date i.e. 15/05/2014. Since PICK is 0, the Loading Date also should be 15/05/2014. Since LOAD is 0, the Goods Issue Date also should be 15/05/2014.  Since LEAD and TRAN are 5D and 10D, the Delivery Date should be 15/05/2014+5D+10D=30/05/2014.
But, in the Sales Order, I am getting a different date. For MBDAT, Loading Date, and Goods Issue date, the dates are 05/07/2014. Transportation Planning Date is 25/06/2014 and Delivery Date is 01.08.2014. During the GATP check, I am getting only a partial confirmation of 15 and the planned order of 35 is not being considered.
The material is APO relevant and the Scheduling using Condition Technique is being used.
Kindly help me regarding this and let me know if I am missing anything here.
Thanks in advance for the help.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Srikanth.

    Hello Srikanth,
Let us differentiate the problem into two pieces.
    1) Incorrect Scheduling
    2) Future receipts not being considered.
For the second problem, future reciepts not being considered, which is on 01/08/2014, please check if your system is allowing you to go further and do the confirmation. How long is your Checking Horizon ? Is your checking horizon configured enough to go ahead and pick this reciept element to give the confirmation by creating a second schedule line ?
For the first problem, LEAD to the best of my knowledge is transportation planning time which means, the MBDAT would be shifted to the extent of the LEAD time to be able to manage the truck though the stock is available today. However, the dates mentioned by you seems to be completely different. Hence, I suggest you to take the ATP check on this line item, go to Delivery proposal screen and click on the graphical representation of the Scheduling results. There you should be able to understand how the calculation is actually happening. Perhaps, there are some calendars that are being used which you'd not be knowing ? May be the condition record has different times maintained in the condition table ? Check the condition table that the system is picking up ? May be you have maintained the route and transportation scheduling in "X" condition table, however system was able to identify a different detailed level table which satisfied the condition and due to which system got the scheduling calculated accordingly ?
May be it is a good idea to investigate this way. Hope this helps.

  • Delivery Scheduling Date Calculation

When I am creating Deliveries using VL10B for the Stock Transport Order, the loading date, shipping date, picking date etc, are all same as delivery date.  I want the system to create deliveries at least 4 days in adavance and start preparing.
    What needs to be done.
Where can I create this time floats for separate tasks to finish i.e. Delivery scheduling.

    no solution.

  • Schedule Line Delivery Date Calculation with Transportation Scheduling

    Hi All,
We are currently running into a problem where our Sales Order Schedule Line delivery dates are being pushed out too far into the future - because of the Calendar being used to determine the transit time.
We have 'Delivery Scheduling' and 'Transportation Scheduling' activated for our Sales Document type
We have Routes that are configured with a 'Transit Time' and a 'Factory Calendar'
    Order Scenario:
'Factory Calendar' assigned to our 'Route' is setup with only one 'Workday' in a given week e.g. Wednesday
Our 'Route' has a Transit Time of 2 days
We create a Sales Order on Monday for a Material that is available in our Plant
The 'Goods Issue' date is being determined correctly for the next Workday - being Wednesday
The 'Delivery Date' is extending out over 15 days (2 Wednesdays into the future) - since it is working on 'Calendar Days' and not 'Actual Days'
Does anyone know of a way (config or other) to only influence the 'Goods Issue' date with the 'Factory Calendar' assigned to the Route, and have the 'Delivery Date' calculated using the Transit Time on the Route and 'Actual Days' rather than Calendar days?
    All help greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Ravelle<i></i>

    Hi Pathik,
Thanks for your reply.  I have already maintained the Calendars I'm using for this business process in <SCAL> - same as <OY05>.
The problem I'm having though is that by assigning a Calendar directly to my route (which I doing to influence the goods issue date - using a 1 Working Day Calendar) it is also taking precedence in determining the Transit time - which in this case I don't want, as I want my Transit time to be determined using a 5 Working Day Calendar.
I don't think this problem has a config option as a work around...I think the only possibility in this case is a development to achieve the results we need.
    Thanks,
    Ravelle

  • SA Schedule Lines from MD03 date calculation

    Hi
Please find the following snap from MD03 ,
here the schedule lines generated dt 06-06-14, for this material planned delivery time and GR processing time is zero in material master,
In info record planned delivery time is 1 day, I unable to understand why system generated the schedule after 4 days
Then I created new material copying the above material and done MD03 for newly created then the schedule lines generated on 02-06-14, Why the system proposes two different schedule dates for new material and ol material?
I searched the forum and checked all the available configurations and finally found
IMG-Production-MRP-Planning-scheduling and capacity parameters-Parameters for determining the basic date
when i checked the box for Start in past and again run the MD03 for the same material, then the results as follows, which is correct i think as per MMR
Though i got the required results but did not understand what is this field Start in Past does? how the calculations takes place, what will be the effect if i keep this checked ?
    Thanks

But how these fields were populated?? I think at the time of creation of SA, material master has the data and it has been carried forward, is it right
Either a user manually maintained the values that you have in the SA or these values where at time of creation present in either the material master or the info record.
The system (depending on the config set-up) copies the values in the following sequence to the SA.
If values are maintained in the info record the system will adopt the data from the info record
If no values in the info record then the system will copy the data from the material master record.
I can't judge from here what values where maintained where. You can check the change logs to check if you can find the values back. In case you can not find the values in the change logs then it's likely that the values where manually maintained in the SA.
But How this Parameters for determining the basic date work ?
The determination of the date works based on the backward and forward scheduling.
The system will first schedule using backward scheduling if this is not possible then forward scheduling is used.
Some explanation on backward and forward scheduling.
    Backward scheduling explained
When scheduling materials in SAP MRP, the system will first try to backward schedule the materials.
With backward scheduling is meant that the SAP MRP system will start to count backward from the
requirement date and will then determine the delivery date. As long as this date is later then the current
date, the delivery date will be determined without a problem.
Below image shows a graphical representation of backward scheduling.
    Forward scheduling explained
Forward scheduling is used by the SAP MRP system when the date determined by the backward
scheduling process is lying before the actual date. The forward scheduled date is determined by taking
today’s date and then adding all the relevant processing time to determine the possible delivery date.
This kind of scheduling will throw an exception message in the MRP view screen (MD04 / MD06 /
MD07). These exception messages are telling the materials expeditor that action from her/his part is
required in order to either postpone the production of the finished good or to work with the vendor to
    pull forward the required materials.
Below image shows a graphical representation of how the forward scheduling is performed by SAP.

  • Calculation of basic dates and schedule dates

I update material master from routing with CA97 to material master
work scheduling data with base quantity 1000
When MRP running, planned order for 54000 PCS is schedule with work scheduling data.
when i schedule planned order (change)
the calculation basic date & schedule date differs for 19 days
    cause basic start shift
    why is this happend?
is this cause by rounding when transforming minute from routing to days in material master?
is this because i used shift sequence and scheduling with breaks?
    some strage case again is

for base qty 10000 processing time is 6.93
is there any solution for this case?

    Hi,
Yes. The schedule date is generated considering your factory calender also in addition to the routing data. For eg.. Suppose if Saturday and sunday are holidays, the schedule date will be extended to 2 days.
Pl. check the  unit in your routing for the second query.
    Pl. refer the link

  • Basic and scheduling  dates & time calculation in process order creation

    Hi guru's,
i have one requirement, i need to calculate and display the basic and scheduled dates & times based on the given input i.e material , plant , process order type , quantity , UOM and scheduling type ( for corresponding scheduling type user will provide either start date or finish date ) using RFC. can  u plz provide any function module for this purpose or logic for calculating the same  , as i am working on version 4.7ee .
    Awaiting for a quick response.
    Regards,
    Madan

    Dear Rohan,
1.Check the length of break timings defined in the resource that is assigned in the phase.
2.Check in OPUZ whether for the process order type and plant combination whether scheduling is to include the break time also
(whether the check box for scheduling with breaks) is included.
    Check and revert back.

  • Basic / Scheduling dates are calculated for both main orders and Collective

How the Basic / Scheduling dates are calculated for both main orders and Collective orders?
when in master data we have given different value of in house production time for both the orders.

    Hi,
The basic dates are calculated from the data mentioned in the Material Master - In-house production time days, either lot size dependent or lot size independent.
The scheduled dates are calculated from the timings maintained in the routing.
In the configuration for Scheduling parameters for the order type - Adjust scheduling - the dates can be adjusted.
Kindly revert back if you need any further clarifications.

  • How is delivery date calculated

How can anyone please explain how delivery date is calculated using forward and backward scheduling
I want to have it broken down into the following steps
for eg for delivery date calculation following dates are used
    Material Availabilty Date
    Material Staging Date
    Pick/pack time
    Transportation PLanning date
    Loading date
    Goods issue date
    Transit Date
    Delivery Date
Can some one please give me an example and explain wht these dates are
for eg customer needs delivery date on  11/20/2008
how would the system cacluate whether it can meet the delivery date using backward scheduling
and if it doesnt meet how does the system do the forward scheduling
also i am not clear with the following dates
    material avaialibilty date
    material staging date
    transportation date
can some one please explain me all this in detail
Also i have another question at the sales order creation when is shipping point and route determined
coz based on the ATP check only material avaialabilty date is determined and if we have a bacjground job running every 1 hours for atp then immediately when we create a sales order is a route and shipping point determined (just before we save the sales order)
    Let me be more clear
Suppose customer representative recevies a order on the phone
he enters sold to party, ship to party ,PO number, delivery date and material number and then hits enter
so at tht time the shipping point and route is determined ?
also when an atp check runs and if the delivery date is not met then the system will propose a new delivery date but if we have a different route configured say for eg overnight so we can meet the delivery date and we want to change this route to overnight what must we do?
should we change the shipping condition in the header?
I am not very sure about the process can you please also explain me this in detail?
    Thanks

    Hi there,
When a sales order is logged & the user enters the requested delivery date, system 1st does the backward scheduling date. Pla note that the factory calender mentioned in the shipping point & route plays a crutial role in defining the working days & confirmed delivery date.
For eg:  Customer has raised an order on 11/15 & requests delivery on 11/20/2008.
the following times are important in delivery scheduling.
    Transit time: maintained in route
Loading time maintained in the shipping point
Transportation planing time maintained in the transportation planning point.
pick pack time maintained in the shipping point.
Material availability time maintained in MM02 --> MRP screens. This is the time that the material can be manufactured (for inhouse producted items) or external processing time (for externallly procured materials like TAS items).
From the requested delivery date 11/20 system does the backward scheduling & determines the following dates:
Goods issue date, loading date, pick pack date, transportation planning date & material availability date.
    Time between:
goods issue date - reqested delivery date: transit time
Goods issue date - loading date: loading time
transportation planning date - pick pack date: picking pack time
Material availability date - transportation date: transportation planning time.
Consider that the factory calender has all days of the week as working dates (to make it simple to explain). Also transit time is 3 days, loading time is 1 day, pick pack time is 1 day, material availability time is 3 days.
From 11/20 ussing backward scheduling system determines the following dates:
    Goods issue date: 11/17
    Loading date: 11/16
    Pick pack date: 11/15
System will check if material is available on the 11/15 to start pick / pack. If it is available then system will confirm the reqested delivery date. Else it will check when the material is available. For eg basing on the MRP settings mnaterial is available only on 11/18. So from 18th system does forward scheduling & redetermines all the dates. So pick / pack date is 11/18. Loading date is 11/19, goods issue date is 11/20 & possible delivery date is 11/23. So system will confirm the delivery date on 11/23. This is when complete delivery is required. If partial delivery is allowed, then system will check how much quantity is available on 11/15. Accordingly it will give 2 delivery dates.
In the above example include teh factory calender which will have 5 day week with Fri & Sat as holidays. Accordingly dates will change.
Here replenishment lead time also plays an imp role. Pls refer http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_03/helpdata/EN/6b/2785347860ea35e10000009b38f83b/frameset.htm for further information

    Hi all,
Currently, i need to run a background PO report daily. As i only want today's PO data everytime the background job runs, i set the PO date dynamically using dynamic date calculation choosing current date, save it as a variant then schedule daily run.
Howerver, for the next run day, the report was ok but subsequent running, the report is not the current date data.
Any idea where i have miss out?
Kindly assist and advise, points will be rewarded.

  • MRP SCHEDULING DATES IN R3

    Hi guys,
I need to understand How MRP scheduling dates are calculated for <b>external procurement</b>
I understand scheduling date is calculated from the following...
Purchasing processing timePlanned delivery timeGR processing time...
    1. What is the default scheduling either backward scheduling or farward scheduling??
    2. Where we can set as per our requirement??
    3. Delivery date is calculated from individual requirement date?? or It is calculated from MRP running date for all the requirements??
For example the scenario is as follows:
The requirement is for continuourly for 3 days from today i.e.21.09.2007,22.09.2007 and 23.09.07...
Supposing purchasing processing time is 0, Planned delivery time is 10days and GR processing time is 0..
What will be the delivery date of each above requirement???
Can any one throw some idea on this...
    sundar...

    Hi
Please refer the link explaining the MRP configurations. Please go thru the file and reply if you have any specific doubts.

  • Can scheduling date redetermined in Deliver according to manual adjustment?

    Hi, All
    Picking Date
    Trans. Planning Date
    Loading Date
    Planned GI Date
    Delivery Date
As listed above, there are scheduling dates in Delivery, if I change one date manually, how could I make the other dates update automatically?
By backward/forward scheduling in the system, the schedule is determined automatically for ATP and the date would be copied from scheduling line of SalesOrder to Delivery docuemnt.
The duration between each two dates are calculated base on the settings of ShippingPoint and Route.
    So...any solution out there?
    Regards,
    Michael

    Hi,
The "Pick/Pack time" & "Loading time" comes from the Shipping point.
The "Transit time " and "Transportation planning time" comes from the Route.
Considering the above times, system calculates the "Material availability date", "Transportation planning date", "Loading date" , "Goods issue date" and "Confirm delivery date" automatically.
To understand how the system calculates the above times automatically please refer this below link:

  • Delivery schedule dates are coming in Past dates

    Hi Friends,
In the Scheduling Agreements the delivery schedule dates are coming in the past dates even tough the scheduling agreements are having new schedules. There is also open quantities there for the scheduling agreements.
please kindly explain me what is the delivery schedule date in Scheduling Agreement.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Kannan M

    Hi Khan,
Just check this thease might be the reasons to get correct the delivery schedule.
To access a delivery schedule, mark a scheduling agreement item and choose Goto ® Item ® .
The following data is displayed in the delivery schedule tabstrip:
    ·        Delivery schedule number and date
    ·        A wide range of standard cumulative quantities
    ·        Delivery information
To display deliveries for the delivery schedule, choose Deliveries on the delivery schedule tabstrip.
In scheduling agreements involving external agents, the system displays deliveries made to the customer by external agents as consignment issues.
    ·        Correction delivery information
To display or create correction deliveries, choose Corr. delivery on the delivery schedule tabstrip.
    ·        An analysis function
    ·        Information at a glance
To display a summary of delivery schedule data, choose Short disp. on the delivery schedule tabstrip.
    ·        Schedule lines
Choose DlvSch.Hdr on the delivery schedule tabstrip to access the delivery schedule header. The following data is displayed here:
    ·        Information on quantities received by the customer
    ·        Information on the customer fiscal year and cumulative quantities reset due to a year change
    ·        A wide range of cumulative go-ahead quantities
    ·        Notes on the delivery schedule
    Correcting Cumulative Delivered Quantities
    Prerequisites
You correct cumulative quantities in scheduling agreements:
    ·        In case of returns
    ·        When there has been a processing error
    ·        When there has been a year change
    ·        When you are transferring initial quantities from a legacy system into the SAP System
To do this, you create a correction delivery within the delivery schedule itself. This delivery is not relevant for requirements planning, shipping, goods issue, or billing.
Correct cumulative quantities only when the customer has not posted goods receipt.
    Procedure
To create a correction delivery (document type LFKO):
           1.      Choose Corr. delivery on the delivery scheduletabstrip.
The system displays a dialog box in which you enter a:
    -         Correction delivery date
For help on deciding where you want to position the correction delivery, choose Display. The system lists delivery dates in chronological order.
    -         Correction quantity
Enter a negative correction quantity by placing a minus sign after the quantity.
           2.      Choose Enter and save the scheduling agreement.
    Result
When you save the correction delivery, the system updates the cumulative quantities in the delivery schedule.
To display correction deliveries, choose Deliveries on the delivery schedule tabstrip, or  Environment ®  Display document flow.
    Example
Your customer returns 200 pieces of material from a delivery made on 7/10 because of damage during transport. Several other deliveries have been made before you prepare the correction delivery, so you view a list and choose an appropriate date. In this case you decide on 7/14 because it occurs after the delivery on 7/10 and before the delivery on 7/15.

  • Sales order item data & sales order schedule data

    Hello,
I have a Sales Orders cube which is pulling data from two DSOs (one for sales order item data and the other for sales order schedule data). The common fields between these two DSOs is the Sales Order number but in my cube I have dual entries for each Sales Order document (item and schedule info).
Example of how the data looks now:
    Sales Order . . Item Cat. . . Article . . . Net Price . . . Delivery . . . Act GI Date
    1. . . . . . . . . ...TAN. . . . . ABC123. . . .10
    1 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .1 . . . . . . . . 01/01/2000
    2. . . . . . . . . ...TAN. . . . . CBA321. . . .15
    2. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .2 . . . . . . . . 01/02/2000
How do I merge the data on the Sales Order number in the cube so it looks like below?
    Sales Order . . Item Cat. . . Article . . . Net Price . . . Delivery . . . Act GI Date
    1. . . . . . . . . ...TAN. . . . . ABC123. . . .10 . . . . . . . . . .1 . . . . . . . . 01/01/2000
    2. . . . . . . . . ...TAN. . . . . CBA321. . . .15 . . . . . . . . . .2 . . . . . . . . 01/02/2000
    Many thanks,

    Two previous remarks:
    1) If you need to report on very detailed data consider doing an info-set joining both datastores. 2 reasons why:
    - not a good idea to report on very detailed information (sales order, GI dates) on cube level, if you have a scenario with lots of data. You end up with big dimension tables a poor report times;
    - there are better alternatives, like drill-through from cube query to DS query with report to report interface or Datastore-based reporting...so...
With this solution you do not need to change the data model, I think, but test to be sure. See if the reporting times are acceptable. If not...
    2) First confirm your requirements, because what you show in your example as "to-be" have details that do not make sense, probably..
    - if you have more that one schedule line for each item then you would have many times the item information like material/price;
    - if not or if you could cope with that, then you can consider:
2.1) create a new DS that agregattes from the previous on, with the same key of sales order item; do you have schedule line kf's? if so you these KF's should be additive in DS update; But if you may have more one scheduled line for 1 item then you have to decide what to do with the GI data (keep the last one posted, use code..) and other characteristics.
2.2) update the shedule line datasource to the sales order item DS; same comments apply.
2.3) maintain the missing data in the cube update rules from sheduled lines DS. Using code, refer to the respective item in the order item ODS. You would have to make sure that DS's data are correctly activated before updating the infocube.
    What solutions to choose?
    2.1 is better in terms of flexibility and architecture...because you could re-arrange the new DS to answer future needs, without loosing the 1st line DS's data;
2.2 choose if data volumes and disk space are a concern...
