Are you using OEM 9i or 10g GC?
Statistics gathering is done in a different way depending on which platform you are on. However, when you submit a job to do anything including stats gathering, the job is scheduled by OEM and sent to the agent. So, you can close your "client" because it's not doing anything. The job has been submitted and will run as scheduled.

Performance Report using OEM-11g

Is there any way to get the Monthly Database performance report using OEM Grid Control... I am able to grab only one week data in Historical option....

I have the same problem in OEM 11g, the calendar on the Performance tab - Historical selection - only shows "January 0" and can not be changed...a bug?
Oracle 11.2.0.2.0 database on AIX.
Using OEM Cloud 12c on some test instances again 11.2 on AIX and it works fine there.
Any updates?

Error When Trying to Schedule Webi report using SAP authentication

Hii,
We are trying to Schedule Webi report in CMC for Group of Users using SAP authentication(SSO) ,While Trying this we are geting error Unable to Connect to SAP BW server Incomplete Logon Data ..(IES 10901) .
Authorization done at BI side and Its working properly.Users are able to login into BI Launchpad and View Report as per authorization
Some Webi reports are created using BICS connection and some are created using Universe Design Tool (.UNV) which are migrated from BO 3.1 to BO 4.0
Server Status:
BO server and Client Tools-:BO 4.0 SP6
BW System-7.01

In my installation , it is usually AQZZ"usergroup"========QUERYNAME======
You could see if you have a user group 'MM' or '10MM' in SQ03 and set the user group if available.. then in SQ01, see if you have a query called Z6
Also try out this function module RSAQ_DECODE_REPORT_NAME to see if it would give you the user group and query name...

Schedule Webi report using RESTful API

We are using BO 4.0 (SP2) and looking to schedule reports using our intranet application. I have searched for APIs avaialble and was able to find RESTful API for SP4 but not SP2. How can we do it in BI 4.0, SP2?

Using the above request you can schedule the Webi document with prompts to inbox destination and set for once. The schedule can be sent in different formats to several destinations and set just for once, daily,
hourly or monthly.
BUT, its broken if you want to schedule a weekly report (Calendar Date) with prompts in BI 4.1 and SDK has been deprecated.

Hi,
it won't be at "report-level" . those local variables are formulae used for formatting, not for user inputs / responses.
Easiest is to use the SAP KEYDATE variable in the BEx query.
This SAPVAR will come through as a WebI prompt like any other, and has a default value of sysdate (if not answered differently)
As for the Scheduling mechanism, this is the same as always - done in Infoview / BILaunchPad - select the webi instance, and click Schedule .

I want to create a ABAP query for Excess inventory & Scheduled receipts in a single report. I have identified tables, fields and some extra calculated fields in the report. Here are the following tables and fields.

Here my question is, when i was creating a infoset, how do i maintain relationship or joins from one table to another table...Is there any sequence for the above tables? Pl suggest. When i was adding all the tables in a infoset and try join the tables...it says illegal join...

What i need to display is the remainder of the transaction that was received... if it is zero (0), i don't want to display it.
i.e.
transact # 100 inqty = 5
transact # 200 outqty =1
I'd like to display
transact # 100     qty on hand = 4
right know the transaction # that i am displaying is transact # 200.
And also, it needs to be warehouse oriented. because i can have multiple warehose transactions.... and i am getting that wrong too.

Schedule OWB mapping using OEM

Hi,
I am trying to call OWB mappings from the OEM (using the GUI).
I have mappings which have input parameters. So calling the mapping as a PL/SQL block is not going to work.
using the .MAIN method as these parameters will change for every run.
I am seeing if there is another way to add these mappings as programs and then add them to a chain. Having the mapping input parameters as program attributes.
Please share if you know of a way to get this done.

There is no need to detect..if there are any pictures stored in the column which is possible in LONG u cannot even detect the length. You will just ahve to write a procedure which will move the data to col1 ig the data in the LONG column is less than 4000 and it will automatically move it to col2 when the data length in the LONG column is greater than 4000.
first declate 2 variables with varchar2(4000) and a temp cursor for long column. Open a cursor and and equate the variables with a substring function w.r.t the v_temp.
ex:
v_notes1 :=substr(v_temp,1,4000)
v_notes2 :=substr(v_temp,4001,4000)
insert the other records as it is. This will work.

Trying to schedule a report using Crystal Reports Server Java SDK. Want to pass DBConnections from API, though passing DBConnections, the report is not being scheduled and says "Failed to retrieve data from the database.Details:[Database Vendor Code:6550].
Would be thankful if someone could answer my point as applicable.

Thank you for your valuable information.
First, tried scheduling on Central Management Console and then with the java code.It worked fine, but here is another question for you.
On the Console, a report exists with ServerName and UserName harcoded and when trying to set ServerName and UserName from the java code, its throwing exception. Where as Password is not set on Console, am able to set password from java.
And DatabaseName is not set on Console (non editable), unable to set the same from java too. Why is it so?
So, my question is - though ServerName,DatabaseName,UserName,Password exists on the Console report, can't I override those parameters from java?
Would be greatful if you answer my question and provide me some guidance.

Can Tivoli (TWS) be used for scheduling WebI reports in BO XI 3.1?

I am trying to figure out if it is possible to schedule WebI reports to refresh using TWS?
We are using BO XI 3.1 SP2 deployed on unix and would like to use TWS to refresh WebI reports that are built on SAP BW Bex queries. Does anyone have any experience scheduling WebI reports using TWS with XI 3.1? Any information you can provide would be appreciated!

I can think of two options:
1) You define in BO CMC external events and schedule your reports to wait for them. In the TWS you can schedule an OS script to create the file that triggers the BO external event. The reports will run only after the file is created.
2) You write a java program that uses the BOBJ SDK in order to schedule immediately your reports. In the TWS you create a scedule that starts the java program. (You can find examples how to use the SDK here http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/samples )
