In infoview click on schedule-->select the frequecy to run > the destination should be specific email recipiant>format pdf/excel etc.
when you select the destination option as specific email recipiant it will ask for from and email addreses.
I hope this is what you needed, please letme know if not this.

    Please help.

    Hi,
If you are using a Web UI, then i suppose you can attach documents or URL's through Attachments assignment block in the transaction.
If not, can you explain in detail, what is the requirement.

  • Send document from BPS to Business OBject

    Hi,
We have some comments and documents in BPS.
The tool used for reporting is Business Object and we have to transfer this information to BO.
Did you do this before ? We know that documents are stored in BW but it seems difficult to access this.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi expert,
Now, I can bind variable from workflow to task(TS90200025) by using workflow and task container. However, I still can't bind that variable from task to BO. When I create task I do step as following
    1. Go to transaction PFTC >> Create
    2. Input  Abbr.    : Bind to BO
Name   : Bind variable form workflow to BO
                 Release status  : Not defined
Object Category : BO BOR Object Type
                 Object Type : ZBUS200126
                 Method :GETDEADLINEDATE
                 Synchronous object method : Check
                 Background processing  : Check
    3. On tab Container , create container element
                 Element  : DeadlineDate
                 Name      : DeadlineDate
                 Short Descript. : DeadlineDate
                 ABAP Dictionary Reference  : sy-datum
                 Properties : Import
    4. SAVE
There is not "Binding Object Method" Button on the basic data tab so I don't know how can I bind
    DeadlineDate to GETDEADLINEDATE Method.
    More information :
    BO              : ZBUS200126
    Method        : GetDeadlineDate
    Object type  : ZBUS200126
    Release       : 620
    Status         : implemented
    Name          :  GetDeadlineDate
    Description  :  GetDeadlineDate
On tab General  >> Synchronous  : Check
    Program
    BEGIN_METHOD GETDEADLINEDATE CHANGING CONTAINER.
    DATA : lv_init_date like sy-datum,
    SWC_GET_ELEMENT CONTAINER 'DeadlineDate'  lv_init_date.
    END_METHOD.
Another qusetion is how can I know that variable is passed to BO.Are there transaction to dubug it?
    Thanks for your answer.

  • Scheduling a Business Objects 4.0 Webi from Abap

Is there a way to pass in prompts and schedule a Webi report in Business Objects 4.0 from Abap? We have a situation where we want to email out a webi report to each of our sales reps with their particular sales information based on salesid.
Right now we would have to create and maintain about 250 individual scheduled jobs in Business Objects and that is a maintenance nightmare so I was wondering if we could use our scheduler in our ERP6.0 environment and write an Abap program to pass in the parameters needed to schedule the job in BOBJ.
For example, every Monday the Abap job would run and collect all salesmen info including salesid and email address and would then use that info to send the info to BOBJ to schedule and run the reports one time.
Hopefully what I am wanting is clear.
    Thoughts?
    Thanks,
    Mike

    Priyanka,
You need to STOP the Adaptive Job Server, this will STOP all scheduling jobs.

  • PortalRuntimeException in Business Object document iview No portal component associated with the following context

    Hi all,
We are stumped with a problem in our QA Enterprise Portal (7.3.1 Sp7) that throws a portal runtime error when we preview a Business Objects document iview.  The Business Objects Server versions are 4.0 SP5 and/or 4.1 SP3.
The error is caught in the the defaultTrace file, /usr/sap/QNW/J00/j2ee/cluster/server0/log
    [EXCEPTION]
com.sapportals.portal.prt.runtime.PortalRuntimeException: There is no portal component associated with the following context:

    at com.sap.portal.prt.component.PortalComponentContext.<init>(PortalComponentContext.java:93)
Here is what we have tried
    * Confirmed the iviews exist in the PCD, by browsing to the content folders and right lick, preview on the iview.
    * Our PRD and DEV systems work correctly and are on same versions of EP Runtime and java. 7.3.1.7.0.201..
    * Occurs with all Businessobjects iviews from the QA portal and all doc types, webis, dashboards. Tried creating new iview.
    * Reapplied the com.sap.businessobjects.iviews.templates.epa to the Portal from t he BI 4.1 SP3 distribution
    * Deleted and recreated the BI portal system connector using the SAP BOBJ system template set path to http://bi-qas:8080/BOE
    * Set the embed key value in the BI system connector property and in the custom global.properties file, restarted tomcat and SIA services
    * Set permissions for everyone end user on the content folders and the BI system connector
    * Confirmed Single sign on configured correctly between BI and Portal
    * Confirmed that the QA BI server is configured correctly by directing the working DEV Portal to the QA BI server.
    * Performed actions in note 1709737
We are certainly stuck and the defaultTrace file is not very informative.  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated

This is resolve with note 1615838  - SAP Netweaver Enterprise Portal 7.3 iView creation with BI 4.0 results in exceptions.
The note includes a file portalapp.xml that need to be inserted into com.sap.businessobjects.iviews.par that is included in the BI server distribution.
    Then deploy the ear file.....
Odd thing is that the note mentions 4.0 and we are on 4.1 SP3...

  • To stop all scheduling in Business Objects 4.0

    Hi
I just want to stop all the scheduled reports to run in Business Objects
Which process should i stop for it ?
    Is it Adaptive Job Processor?
This is why i need it
We have migrated our BO from 3.1 to 4.0 in UNIX environment so its a prod parallel environment
and we are going to keep the old production environment running too for a week just to test the new one is fine or no.
But for 4.0 we have new prod environment and new CMS database
Next we are going to get all the data using BO Upgrade Tool
As Unix has complete upgrade it will get all the scheduling info too
Now i don't want the reports to run in our old production environment and new too
So which process should i stop which will only stop the Scheduling and wont impact other part.

    Priyanka,
You need to STOP the Adaptive Job Server, this will STOP all scheduling jobs.

  • Event in KNA1 business object

    Hi,
My requirement is to trigger workflow, whenever customer is created or changed or deleted, but there is no event in KNA1 business object.
How can i trigger workflow according to creation or change of customer data.
Note : i customised KNA1 BO to ZKNA1, added event 'CREATE' and CHANGE in ZKNA1. added this event under Triggerring event in worflow task.  But workflow is not triggered during customer creation.
    need help on this.
    Regards,
    Balamurugan.

    Hello Balamurugan,
you're following the right path, to subtype the business object KNA1, adding the missing events .Created and .Changed and create a system wide delegation from KNA1 to ZKNA1.
Depending on the application's transaction within the R/3 system, you'll need to take care that the events are risen at the correct time.
For Customer master data, please create two entries in the transaction SWEC (Create event through change documents).
Use the change document type DEBI, the business object KNA1, event CREATED and set the radio button to CREATE
The second entry is the same but CHANGED and radio button to CHANGE.
You may restrict the event creation of the .Changed event by some fields if you like to.
    Best wishes,
    Florin

  • Business Objects Scheduler Jobs Monitoring

    Hi,
Is there a management pack available for integration with System Centre (SCOM) such that we can monitor failed scheduled jobs in Business Objects via SCOM?
Is there any other way to monitor failed scheduled Business Objects jobs straight from the database or via any other method?
    Thanks,
    Chandan

    Hi Chandran,
I'm not a SCOM expert but I understand it is basically a monitoring tool.
Normally you would check for failed schedules in Business Objects using the Instance Manager, to filter for failed scheduled reports. Alternatively you could use the Query Builder to report directly against the XI3.1 Repository and return a list of failed instances.
Above workflows can also be coded into the SDK to provide customised feedback on schedule failures
The final option would be to simply set up email Notifications on the schedules to simply email the Administrator in the event of a schedule failure.
With any of the above options it should be possible to link in your SCOM system to read\monitor from this output.
    I hope this helps.
    Kind regards,
    John

  • Business Objects 6.5 Scheduled Reporting

    Hi,
I'm very new with business object and just wondering whether it is possible to create a scheduled report that auto-run for a specific time of the day in Business Object 6.5.
And below is the SQL codes that I run daily:
    SELECT
      BACKOFFICE.BRK_ACCOUNT_MASTER_VW.ACCOUNT_NO,
      BACKOFFICE.BRK_ACCOUNT_MASTER_VW.ACCOUNT_NAME,
      BACKOFFICE.BRK_CNOTES_VW.CNOTE_DATE,
      BACKOFFICE.BRK_CNOTES_VW.CNOTE_NO,
      BACKOFFICE.BRK_CNOTES_VW.CNOTE_STATUS,
      BACKOFFICE.BRK_CNOTES_VW.BUY_SELL_CODE,
      BACKOFFICE.BRK_CNOTES_VW.UNITS,
      BACKOFFICE.BRK_CNOTES_VW.SEC_CODE,
      BACKOFFICE.BRK_CNOTES_VW.UNIT_PRICE,
      BACKOFFICE.BRK_CNOTES_VW.UNITS_VAL,
      BACKOFFICE.BRK_CNOTES_VW.BKGE_VAL,
      BACKOFFICE.BRK_CNOTES_VW.BKGE_GST,
      BACKOFFICE.BRK_CNOTES_VW.NETT_VAL,
      BACKOFFICE.BRK_CNOTES_VW.ADVISER_CODE,
      BACKOFFICE.BRK_ACCOUNT_MASTER_VW.BRANCH,
      BACKOFFICE.BRK_CNOTES_VW.ADVISER_CODE
    FROM
      BACKOFFICE.BRK_ACCOUNT_MASTER_VW,
      BACKOFFICE.BRK_CNOTES_VW
    WHERE
      ( BACKOFFICE.BRK_CNOTES_VW.ACCOUNT_NO=BACKOFFICE.BRK_ACCOUNT_MASTER_VW.ACCOUNT_NO  )
      AND  (
      BACKOFFICE.BRK_CNOTES_VW.CNOTE_DATE  BETWEEN  @variable('From Date') AND @variable('To Date')
      AND  BACKOFFICE.BRK_CNOTES_VW.CNOTE_STATUS  !=  'R'
      AND  BACKOFFICE.BRK_ACCOUNT_MASTER_VW.BRANCH  =  'EPWM'
I would like to get this report scheduled and auto-save it as csv file on my hard drive instead of me running it everyday and manually save it.
I really appreciate it if anyone out there can help me on this.
    thanks a lot.
    Cheers,
    Silva

    Hi Silva,
The only way is to have a .rep or .wid report and use the Broadcast Agent Scheduler module.  However, Broadcast Agent schedules as .xls and not .csv format.
However, two options are possible to get the csv file generated:
    - write a script that  refreshes and saves the report as csv, attach this script to the report (.rep) and schedule it.
    - schedule the report as xls, and then use a script to convert to csv
Note that you will be able to set the scheduling frequency when defining the scheduling details.
Below is note proviing a modele of a script.  You need to adapt this modele to suit your needs:

    1. Go to Tools > Macro > Visual Basic Editor.

  • Schedule to a business objects folder

I want to schedule my crystal report to create a pdf into a different business objects folder.  Does anyone know how to do this.
    BOE 3.1 Crystal 2008.
so this is how it looks
    report lives here
    public folders\Crystal
they want it to schedule and send the pdf to here
    publci folders\PDF
    these are Business objects folders.

    Hi Experts,
does anybody have a clue on this topic in the meantime?
We have the similar challenge in our project. We want to schedule the same Webi document several times and burst the reports through the distinct BusinessObjects folders.
Is there any possibility to achieve this, maybe through enhancements with BI 4.0?

  • Error message in DTW when choosing any document business object

    Hi,
We have an issue uploading AR Invoices, Credit Notes etc. with DTW.
We have installed DI-APIs and DTW on a server, which does not have SBO installed. DI-API was installed by copying and running the installation files from a server with SBO 2005 (680320) installed. This is the same server that we are connecting to in DTW. DTW was also installed by copying the setup.exe file for SBO2005 SP01 from another place.
All business objects work fine (Chart of Accounts, Business Partners, Items etc.) except for all document objects (Credit notes, Invoices etc.). The following error message is received:
    "Runtime error!
    C:\program files\SAP\Data Transfer Workbench\DTW.exe
    abnormal program termination"
We also tried with another data migration program called xFusion Studio. But also here documents upload generates an error message:
"An exception was thrown by target of an invocation"
Do you know if this is due to a problem with the DI-APIs?
Could the problem be related to the fact that SBO is not installed on the server? Anything else?
    Very thankful for help.
    Tobias.

If the issue was due to SBO not installed on Server then none of the templates should have worked. But you seem to have COA and BP working.
How sure are you that your templates are fine.
If possible could you comment here about the columns of your template that have data.
