Schedule for new model of iPad?

I'm considering buying an iPad. I am clueless as to the product cycle dates here - did they just release the new version, or are they about to? I can wait a couple of months if there's new hardware about to be released; anyone know?

As a general rule, the rumor sites, like the mac rumors buyers guide:

are good places to look for this kind of speculative information (it's against the rules here to speculate on unreleased products, so you won't get many answers).
However, the rumor sites use the time between releases as their baseline to set up the cycle for a particular product, and since there's only been one release of the ipad, and that recently, I'm afraid you won't find anything but random guesses there, either, for the ipad.

I just swapped old modem for new model. Says I'm connected but airport flashing amber and no connection. Do I have to configure a new network???

I just swapped out old modem for new model. Airport flashing amber. Wi-Fi connection good but airport not responding. Do I need to configure a new network connection? Change anything in airport utility?

I'm a big fan of resetting in situations like this. Who knows what boxes you've ticked where...
Use the hard reset button with a paper clip on your Airport express. Hold it til the light starts blinking, then let it reset.
While it's resetting, go into your Network prefs and make sure you're set up to connect via Airport. Delete any references to your prior wireless network in the preferred networks section. Go into your keychain utility and delete any passwords there. (this is assuming you were using some form of wireless security).
After your AE has restarted, choose it from the Airport pull-down menu and run the Airport Setup Assistant utility. Once you've got it up and running, use Airport Admin utility to set security and passwords.
Seems drastic, but after all the poking around you've done, these steps should be pretty simple to perform. I'm guessing your original "Looking for PPPoE host" was a temporary problem with your IP. Maybe the ethernet cable was unplugged from AE?

Exchange recently purchased macbook for new model?

I recently ordered a new macbook which they tried to deliver for the first time today although no one was in. I went for the mid-range macbook but upgraded to a 120gb hard drive which I was v. happy with until I went online today and discovered that they've know upgraded the mid-range one to 120gb any way and increased the processer speed all for less than I paid! :S Can anyone advise me on my best course of action? Is it possible to exchange it for the new model at the cheaper price?! As a student could really use the money back! Or if I can't get an exchange would apple refund the difference in price? I used the higher educational discount and am in the UK. I gather if I do return it there is a charge even if I havn't opened it? Or can I take it straight to my local apple store? (don't know about an official apple one but there a KRCS one near me). I also saw somewhere that if you had any upgrades you can't return?! Please help! Can't even find the relevant number or e mail to use contact apple as I've found several diff. numbers and not sure which is the right one.

I'm not so worried about the processor speed as that wouldn't make much difference it's more the money difference as the new model would give me the same thing (with slightly better processor speed) for £130 less! so even if I have to pay £60 to return it would still be worth it. Just hope they let me with it being a CTO. Thanks again for your help.

Will Apple Store Swap Old Model For New Model?

I have a question. Suppose you bought a brand new MacBook Pro within the last 2 weeks from an Apple Store, and new models come out, say, this week. If you took your brand new MacBook Pro back to the Apple Store, would they exchange it for free for one of the new models?
If that is indeed the case, what's the date range? Within the last 2 weeks from the date the new models come out, or perhaps even the last month?

I believe there is a 2 week grace period. There might be a restocking fee involved. Why not ask at an Apple store?

Replacing 3 weeks old MacBook Pro for new model

Well i purchased a MacBook Pro 13" just three weeks ago and now there is a new model launched which is of the same cost now i want to change my MacBook for the new one so how can that be possible??

You've passed the 14-day 'no questions asked' return policy so your best best would just to be to sell on eBay or some other online retailer that takes 'used' computer equipment (though your best bet is eBay).

I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1.

I heard that it is possible for you to trade in an old model of iPod, along with 60 dollars, and get the newest version (in my case g4 to g5) i was wondering if you can really do this.

No. the replacement is always the same as the item being replaced.

IPad 3 and older digital av adapter. It works, but is there reason to get the newer model?

I have an iPad 3. I also have an older model digital av adapter. It's model MC953ZM/A. Although its older it still works fine with my iPad 3 even though it says it's not supported when I plug it in. Is there any benefit to purchasing the newer model digital av adapter?

Other than not getting that message, or having Apple perhaps not support it should you call or visit them asking for assistance (I don't know if they'd just tell you to get the newer adapter, but it's possible), no, there's no reason I know of to buy the newer version of the adapter.

Exchanging IPad for different model

I recently received a new iPad 4 as a promotion for attending a work related class. this iPad is brand new still unopened in the box. The iPad I received was 16 GB model and I wanted to exchange it for a64 or 128 GB model and pay the difference. I went to one of the local Apple stores to see about return the unit and getting a different model. I was told by an employee that since I didn't by the Ipad from the Apple store that could not exchange. I was told by the Apple employee that about the only thing I could do is try to sell the iPad on eBay or some other place like that. Really Apple the best you can do is tell me to sell the iPad on eBay? This a brand new iPad sealed in the box. It has UPC code and serial number on the box and everything and all you can tell me to do is sell it? is this the customer support Apple is famous for giving? This is a new Apple product and all I am wanting to do is exchange it for a model with more memory and pay the difference. I currently have 3 iPhones and 2 iPads in my house today, but after my experience at the Apple store I am questioning if I want to buy any more Apple products in the future. It may be time to switch to a company that actually values its customers and does their best to make sure they are satisfied customers!!!
