Schedule lines in Availability Check Delivery Proposal screen

Hi,
This is in continuation to an earlier thread that I had created about Sales Orders not getting CIFfed across to APO. I have a situation in a different system where this is being configured for data transfer. The problem here is not about CIF. All issues pertaining to CIF were addressed in the earlier thread.
This question is primarily about schedule lines of the sales order not opening up for confirmation in 'APO Availability Check: Delivery Proposal' screen as in this link: https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B78qjSKXsqbeNDFjMzlkM2MtMDNlOS00ODFmLWJmYjktYmU0ZDU5Zjk0ZDlh&sort=name&layout=list&num=50&authkey=CO2E0ZYN
It is perhaps some config that is changed or missing that is causing this problem.
Kind regards,
Srikanth

Srikanth,
This is what the screen looks like when the ATP you have configured cannot confirm anything.  The only button available to you is to proceed without confirming the order.
An example of the types of reasons would be no allocation available, no stock available, no supply elements available, too many existing requirements, etc etc.  Improper or incomplete APO GATP configuration could unfortunately also be the culprit.
You have two icons at the top, check instructions and Allocation.  Click on these buttons, and they may give you clues as to what is causing your problems.
Best Regards,

  • Schedule line and availibility check

    Hello,
    I have three questions ;
Q1) my schedule line category is set to " no avalibility check".
Q1A) How does the system confirms the stock in sales order or  in delivery if schedule line category is set to "no avalilibity check"
Q1B) does the sales order and delivery appear in MD04 is schedule line category is set to "no availbility check".
Q2)my schedule line category is set to " no materials planing ?
Q2A) How does the system confirms the stock in sales order or  in delivery if schedule line category is set to "no materials planning"
Q2B)does the sales order and delivery appear in MD04 is schedule line category is set to "no materials planning"
Q3) what is the relationship between MD04 and MRP run. Does all the sales orders or deliveries appear in MD04 after MRP run ?
request pls answer pointwise for clarity
    regards
    sachin

    hi Sonu,
    Q/3 ) relationship between MRP run & MD04
    >The function of MRP is to plan the requirement of a header material as well as for the dependent requirements. This is done with the transaction code MD02.All the requirements are pulled up and planned.the outcome of the run will be a report which will show the details of the planning like
    >Materials planned
    >Materials with new exceptions
    .MRP run is therefore static.
    >MD04 shows you the stock requirement list of the material.after you run the MRP for a particular material this screen will show you the requirement for header materials,
dependent requirement, available stock, the reservations made.if the stock is less u can either generate PR for externally procured or create prodn order for internal mfred.
this is dynamic i.e whenever u run this t code u get the latest update on the status of that material.
u can't see deliveries in MDO4 only reservations
SO are not seen directly but as a customer requirement and when u run MRP they are changed to planned order.this planned order can be seen in MD04 from where u can either create PR or production order
    Q/2B
"no planning " is used for those items for which u don't want to run MRP.certain materials are such that the controller can manage w/o running MRP i.e the SO comes and the product is either delivered or produced w/o running MRP.
    hope this helps,
    regards.

  • Sales order - Schedule line or Availability check

    Dear friends,
I have one requirement on sales order availability check or schedule line.
When i enter material and quantity in sales order it should not determine stock from one storage location (0003 storage location for damaged goods) through availability check or schedule line whatever.
Can i handle this through any routine or functional config. kindly suggest.
    Regards,
    Praveen Lobo

    Dear Praveen
Dont maintain the storage location 0003 in MMSC.  Also, in material master, you dont maintain the "Delivering Plant" so that you will have to input manually in sale order.  If Plant is not flowing automatically in sale order, your storage location will also not flow.

  • Scope of check tab vanished from delivery proposal screen

    Hi,
Not sure how this happened but I seemed to have lost check control tab from delivery proposal screen(ATP sales order). It was seen until yday. Not a nice event to start weekend with. Would appreciate your inputs on what could have gone wrong. I can see all other "normal" tabs - check instructions, proposal buttons and other icons. I dont recall landing on any "setting" for this or fiddling with anything relataed lest there is some remote control
    Guru

    Thanks Babu
I am referring to the delivery proposal screen that you get after clicking ATP check icon. Below the context menu there are analysis tab strips. e.g. check instructions, scheduling etc. There was the scope of check tab the day before but I dont see it know. In another box e.g. dev box I am able to see it. you would definately know this tab. It shows what requirements and receipts and stocks were used by the checking rule (ATP group and business event combination) to evaluate ATP qty. I dont know what made it vanish. I dont recall fiddling anything in customizing to make happen such and I dont think there is configurable setting for the same.

  • Immediate pop up of ATP delivery proposal screen

    Hi.
I recall in an older environment the ATP delivery proposal screen was immediately called upon pressing ENTER on sales order (subject to no incompleiton message) but I now have to select the order line and click on ATP icon to see the ATP delivery proposal screen..although system calls ATP and result can be seen directly in schedule line.
Is there a control for this (to call ATP delivery proposal always at enter) somewhere.
Could this be because of RFC user type -system user vs service user.
I would expect the same (immediate POP up of ATP proposal screen) everytime something is changed in the order.
    Guru

    Thanks Michael,
I tried all values E, A B C D and blank expecting a delivery proposal pop up each time I pressed enter..created new sales order each time. but the only way I can call the delivery proposal screen is by clicking ATP check manually.
Could there be other ATP related settings causing this. Could this be order and ATP qty specifc specific (shoratge). The initial setting or the sales area in use was E. The reason I would like to see the proposal screen at all times is to set the fixed date and qty indicator after having studied the confirmation result well. What result to accept is also a bit discretionary.

  • Schedule line date vs actual delivery date

    Hi All,
Is there any standard report or work around available to compare customers schedule line date vs actual delivery date
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi Abir,
I think your talking about a "On time Delivery report" to track actual delivery against the quoted delivery.
There is no standard report available in SAP for this.
This is hard to track if you have maintained multiple schedule lines for a one single line item.
(Where you maintain multiple delivery dates in schedule line level to quote  multiple delivery dates. If you have maintained multiple line items to quote multiple delivery dates, this would have been easy)
Because you do your delivery based on your sales order line item. Not based on your schedule lines. Therefore in your delivery line item table (LIPS) you cannot see Schedule line number. Therefore you cannot compare quoted delivery against actual delivery date.
Assuming you have maintained your multiple delivery dates in Schedule line level, this is how you have to proceed.
    - Use VL10E transaction to create delivery against schedule lines.
    - Create append structure in the LIPS table to accommodate to carry the schedule line item of sales order in each delivery document + Line Item combination.
    - Use this user-exit u2013include  MV50AFZ1. Can save the particular sales order schedule line in the LIPS, earlier created append structure field.
Then you have the schedule line number available in the LIPS table, Now you can code your report to capture quoted delivery against actual delivery date.
    Hope this helps you !

  • MRP - Auto creation of del schedule lines based on planned delivery time

    Hi,
We have activated MRP (type PD) where Purchase requiesition is auto created by system for requirement quantity. We require to optimize delivery schedule in such a way that entire PR quantity is broken into various delivery schedule based on planned delivery time and requirement.  Scenario can be further explained with following example.
Material Requirement for a month is say 1,25,000 units
    Closing Stock say 25,000 units
PR Generated by system for 1,00,000 units. The entire quantity is schdulled with only one delivery schedule line as per planned delivery time.
The requirement is to generate multiple delivery schedule lines automatically in Purchase requisition based on planned delivery time so that Purchase orders can be placed with system generated delivery schedule lines.
How can it be achieved ?
    Regards,
    Nirav Kinkhabwala

    Nirav,
This subject has been discussed repeatedly in this and other forums.  I must assume that you overlooked the rules of engagement, which state that you should first search the forums and other public sites, before posting questions here.
Standard SAP MRP cannot be made to generate multiple items in a Purchase requisition.  The functionality you seek is usually achieved when converting purchase reqs to Purchase orders, where many single purchase reqs can be adopted into a single Purchase order.
You also might want to investigate use of Vendor Scheduling agreements.

  • Regarding Schedule line category for Reverse delivery

Can any one pls let me know what will be the schedule line category for reverse delivery after cancellation of invoice?

    FYI-
reversal of delivery only reverse the stock & accounting doc's. To do this seperate mov type is used which is linked with the actual Goods issue mov type i.e. 601 ( ref: Tx-OMJJ)
for every mov type there is reversal mov type is assigned to reverse the transaction.
for reversal no schedule line category is required.

  • Changing Schedule Line Category after checking Item availability

    Hi Expert,
I would like to change the schedule line category according to the result of item availability check, i.e. change to another self defined schedule line category in case confirmed qty < order qty.

  • Two Schedule Lines after MATP check

    All,
We are doing MATP check in Sales Order. After the MATP check, the Sales Order is confirming with two Schedule Lines, the first line is confirming with 0 qty and the second line which is created after two days and is confirming with actual Sales Order required Qty. This is happening for all the materials and at any requested date you put in Sales Order.
We further analysed that during the MATP check the Bulk component availability is actually getting delayed but we verified the Stock is fully available for the Bulk as per the requirement date. Master data are setup as per the MATP requirements.
Also we checked, and do not see any issue because of Pick, pack, loading times or delivery & Transportation scheduling config in R/3.
    Please provide your suggestions.
    Thanks,
    Aashish

    Hi Aashish,
    You may check

  • Delivery date in PO schedule lines not equal to delivery date in PO confirm

    Hello expert.,
I use PO with account assignment E for sales order purchasing coming from a TAB sales order category.  In the PO I have schedule lines define according to the lead time from the materila masetr of the info records.  The schedule lines in the PO update automatically the schedule lnes in the sales order and therefore the planning on the sales and delivery side is done according to the delivery date indiacte in the schedule lines of the PO (table EKET).
I use also inbound deliveries to indicate when the goods arrive.  At that time, I can realize that the lead time / the quantity delivered by the vendor does not correspond to what was palnned in the schedule lines of the PO.  When I save the inbound delivery, the confirmation is indicated in the PO in the PO confirmation tab with the delivery date equal to today (table EKES).
The issue I have is that the schedule lines of the PO is not in line with what is in the confirmation tab for both the quantity and the date.  Therefore, even though I have goods arrived that could be delivered to the final customer earlier, the system doesn't recognize it because the schedule lines in the PO remain with the original planned date and quantity and as a consequence also in the sales order schedule line.
Does anybody can give me a way, a trick or a mechanism to align the delivery date and the qauntity in the PO between the schedules lines tab and the confirmation tab?
Thanks a lot for your support.

    Dear,
    This is very intersting.
Delivery date is come in purchase order from plant delivery time (MRP2) in material master.
    Exa:
If you enter plant delevery time as 10 days in MRP2 of material master.
So system calculate delivery date as under.
Plant delivery time : 10 days.
    PO creation date : 08.05.08.
    System consider delivery date 21.05.08
System add 3 days in your plant delivery time.
    So 3+10 = 13, Delivery data:- 08.05.08 + 13 = 21.05.08.
Please check it in your quality client, If it is useful for you please revert back with points.

  • Scheduling Agreement Schedule Lines firmed after outbound delivery

    Dear All,
We use scheduling agreement for cross-company process in our client.  After MRP run schedule lines created automatically. For the next step outbound delivery is created via VL10F (or VL10B).
After outbound delivery creation, on MD04 or ME39, i see the schedule line firmed (*). Because firmig MRP doesn't change those schedule lines. This is a problem for our client.
Do you know a way for MRP can change the schedule lines even outbound delivery created ? How can i manage this situation ?
    Best regards,

    Hi Anil
The '*' that you see means that the schedule line has been changed manually and the Firming indicator (EKET-FIXKZ) is set when there is any change to the Schedule line.
So, when a Delivery is created, the schedule line should be 'Fixed'.
Otheriwse, MRP can delete or change this schedule line and it would cause an inconsistency in the system. This is the logically intended behaviour.
Please see the F1 help for the field EKET-FIXKZ:
    "Schedule Line is "Fixed"
Fixes the schedule line and determines that it cannot now be automatically changed as a result of materials planning and control/MRP activities.
    Procedure
The indicator is set automatically if:
.- You make manual changes to a line of a scheduling agreement delivery schedule that was created via the materials planning process
.- You create a schedule line manually
    Dependencies
You can specify whether Materials Planning/MRP can change delivery schedule lines within the firm and trade-off zones in the additional data for the scheduling agreement item."
    I hope this helps.
