Schedule lines through MRP

Hi Friends,
I have a scenario where in After running MRP, new schedule lines are being generated for an ROH inspite of having sufficient stock(in unrestricted use) & also some open schedule lines to fulfill the requirements. Kindly suggest as to how can i control the generation of schedule lines through MRP.

Month Wise Schedule line Through MRP

Dear Experts,
At the time of running MRP am generating scheduling lines which are specific to date whereas my requirement is to generate schedule lines month wise
How can I achieve this

MRP planning results are always for a specific date. This is the result of scheduling with lead time (either backwards or forwards) based on the requirement date.
So there no way around dates. Nevertheless, you can use a monthly lot size procedure, so you get one schedule line at the beginning of the month (look also at the lead time) for the requirements of the entire month.

Schedule Lines through MRP RUN

Dear Gurus
I have to generate schedulines through MRP run which is getting generated,but got stuck with the quota arrangement,as schedulelines are not getting generated in accordance with qouta arrangement.Following is the Scenario:
Material:Testroh
VENDOR 1: 75% share
VENDOR 2: 25% share
For example i hv a requiremnt of 100pcs of Testroh.After running the MRP schedulines r getting generated for VENDOR1 for 100 pcs.It is not picking up the second vendor at all.
Give ur expert comments to resolve the issue.

I think you should maintain quota of each vendor in transaction MEQ1 with a validity period. e.g. For first vendor 75%. For Second Vendor 25% and also MRP2 Quota usage 4.

I already Maintain the Source list in ME01 with Vendor & Plant then input the Scheduling agreement number and the MRP as 2.
but i counld,t get schedule lines why

there is no schedule lines

Generate schedule lines via MRP

Hi,
Unable to generate schedule lines via MRP.
Settings:
Mat master - External proc , no spl proc
OA - Maintained
Source list - Maintained MRP Relevant - Indicator 2
Quota arrangement- Exist with only 1 vendor(same as of OA) 100%
MD03 - Planning data - Create PR (indicator-1), Create Sl(indicator 3)
Please let me know whether there is anything else which influence SL generation.

hi,
1. Mark checkbox source list in material master.
2. purchase info record for the vendor & material combination
3. source list for the material - mention the scheduling agreement and mark as mrp relevant, schedule lines generated
4. Use MD03, choosing 1 for purchase requisition, 3 for schedule lines and planning mode, prerequisites requirement exists for material. If requirement does not exists it will not create scheduling agreement line.

Issue of Schedule Lines in MRP List

We ran MRP for one material, we observed MRP generated 3 schedules lines with respect to single Schedule Agreement with exception message as 30(Plan Process according to schedule).
Schedule line 1 --- Delivery Date is 10/06/2011 in MD05, Delivery date in Schedule Agreement is 10/04/2011,Rescheduling date is 08/27/2011 Exception message is 30(Plan Process according to schedule(08/27/2011 08/25/2011).
Schedule line 2 --- Delivery Date is 10/06/2011 in MD05, Delivery date in Schedule Agreement is 10/04/2011,Rescheduling date is 10/05/2011 Exception message is 30(Plan Process according to schedule(10/05/2011 10/03/2011).
Schedule line 3 --- Delivery Date is 10/06/2011 in MD05, Delivery date in Schedule Agreement is 10/04/2011,Rescheduling date is 09/08/2011 Exception message is 30(Plan Process according to schedule(09/08/2011 09/06/2011).
But in Schedule Agreement, we are seeing that all the 3 delivery schedules with delivery dates as "10/04/2011" as GR Processing time is 2 days.
Can anyone tell why the MRP has not updated the Schedule Agreement with the new Delivery dates proposed by the exception message 30 in MD05 list.

Please find the Material master details for the issue material:-
MRP type- PD, Lot Size - ZE - Period lot size, Sched.2, Split ( Config Setting of this lot size key is provided below),
Minimum lot size-2,000.000, rounding profile-2,000.000, Material type- ROH,Safety Stock - 1224, Pld Delivery time -63 days, GR Processing time- 2 days, Planning Calendar-ZEX.,Consumption mode     2,Bwd consumption per. 999,Fwd consumption per. 999 ,Mixed MRP --      1, Strategy group =      Z1 ( Final assembly & assembly level, i.e., combination of 40 + 70))
Config Setting of Lot size key- ZE are :-
LotSizeProced. P Period lot-sizing procedure ,Lot-size ind.-   K Period lot size as in PPC planning calendar
Scheduling --    2 Period end := delivery date ,No. of periods 1, Splitting Quota - Checked ,Last Lot Exact- Checked.
b) Scheduling Agreement has 3 delivery schedule lines with Delivery Date as "10/04/2011" and scheduled quantities as 2000,1617 and 2000 EA.
As per the MD05 screen,for this material, corresponding to these 3 schedules lines, we have exception message -30 with different delivery dates. Our Question is why MRP does not updated the Delivery dates for the schedule lines in the scheduled agreement proposed by these exception message.
Can you please let me know whether this information is sufficient for you to understand my problem?.

1) MM02 OR MM01- Maintain MRP data in material master- Purchasing and MRP1 view --> e.g.MRP type,lot size etc. in MRP veiw
& JIT schedule indicator in purchasing view (other data /mfr.data)
2) ME01 - Maintain source list for the material (Use in MRP planning to be 2 -schedule lines generation thru'MRP
3) ME11 - Info.record is must for the material and vendor combination.
4) ME31L - Create schedule agreement
5) ME35L - Release schedule agreement
6) ME9L - Message output
7) MD61- Create Planned independent reqt.for the material
8) MD03 - Run the MRP( single level-single item)
( You can check the result in MD04--- Schedule lines to be seen)
9) ME84- Create SA release
10) ME9L - Message output ( Scheudes to be printed & dispayed).

Automatic creation of Schedule line after MRP RUN

Till now we are using only PO for placing orders to vendor, now we want to use the functionality of scheduling agrement, so that after MRP run, we can get automatic schedule line creation, for this , what are settings required, how system create the automatic schedule lines based on which criteria, second thing while creating on eschedule agrement i found that the conditon which i can add for a vednor in ME21N that all condition are not coming while creating schedule agrement even my vendor is same for PO and Schedule agrement, so what are the setting required for this.

1.In material master purchasing view data auto PO is to be flagged.If scheduling agreemet with release documentation.
Then flag JIT indicator 1.
2.maintain MRP views in material master
3.In source list for fix vendor,source list usage 2 is to be maintained.
4.Vendor master purchasing data auto PO indicator is to be flagged.
5.Then when you run MRP automatically schedule lines are generated.
For JIT and forecasting maintain creaton profile in OMUP transction.
Assign the creation profile in scheduling agreement.

Firming the schedule lines from MRP

I have a scenario where I generate the scheule lines from the total planning run for the material with the help of schedule line indiator = 3.
I want these schedule lines should get automatically firmed. Which are the various ways by which I can do this?

Using MRP Type with Firiming like P1 , P2 etc is the best way to deal with this situation .
However , there is option in Schedule Line itself that u can give firming period and in that period schedule lines r firmed. Go to ME32L enter ur Scheduling Agreement Then select ur material and click on Additional Data (Shift+F5). There under Scheduling Control 'Firm Zone' field is there, try with this option and see what is sresult?
If the date of a schedule line lies within the firm zone, the vendor has the go-ahead to produce the relevant quantity with the assurance that the orderer will bear any and all material and production costs associated with the scheduled quantity in the event of subsequent cancellation by the latter.
1. Another way of handling your issue is by using the manual firming .
2. In mdo4 in the Edit menu u will find a Set firming date.
3. Now you can select this and this will give u a popup for entering a date.
4.When u give a date in this and hit enter.
Also please note delivery schedule lines in ME38 (even it is created automatically), in Planning time fence, will get affected by MRP run.

When running the MRP we have the option to create either the Purchase requistion or the Schedule line........
I am aware that the an outline agreement is maintained against which materials are procured at a series of predefined points in time over a certain period.........
what is the advatage we have over creating schedule lines over the Purchase Requistion during the MRP run......

Hi,
If the MRP run determines the Scheduling agreement as the source it can create the delivery schedules (i.e. each call off against this agreement) automatically and so no effort is required by the purchasing department.
If you choose to have P reqs, then these will have to be converted by someone into the schedules before the vendor is made aware of the requirement.
So creating the schedules automatically in MRP is very efficient, but if you want extra control (i.e. by someone in the purchasing department viewing each requirement) then set it to P reqs instead (not ideal)

Hi,
1. In Material Master --> Purchasing View --> maintain the Tick for Scource list.
2. Create th Scheduling Agreement. (valid)
3. Maintain the Source list with the Scheduling Agreement and MRP indicator as 2.
4. MRP Control Parameters - Delivery Schedules - 3 (Schedule Lines).
After MRP Run, system will create the Sched. Lines for you..

Repeated schedule lines via MRP

Goodmorning.
The schedule lines of scheduling agreement are crated via MRP . After running MRP we could see the schedule lines repeated twice or thrice for a single date with same quantity.
what would be the reason for this? advice me ..

Yes MRP type is fixed type..
In MDo4 the mutile schedule is created with the same qty for a single date .. How is it possible? Why the system didnt cumulate the qty for a single date .correct me if am wrong.

please guide me what is setting for create scheduling line in MD04 automatically?
we created scheduling agreement and when we run MD03 system doesn't create scheduling line and not show in MD04

Hi,
MD04 is for List out the stock requirement.
Goto MD04, enter your material & MRP area, execute.
Check the material is already available.
If you don't have any requirement, then Goto MD61 and create a planned oreder.
Now you check MD04.
If requirement is there, you can create schedule line now.
Check the folows:
- procurement type F
- in me01 schedule line item number mentioned in source list or not ?
- me01 MRP column update with 2 in me01
- valid from valid to check in me01.
- source list tick activated in mm02 or not ?
- if more than 2 vendor for same item - check quota arrangement in mm02 should be 3 and maintain quota arrangement in meq1 for all vendors which are mentioned in me01
- once again delete all planned order and re run MRP , md01 parameter for schedule line should be 3 , create PR = 1 , planning mode = 2 , scheduling = 2

Supplier Schdule lines through MRP

Dear Friends,
Pl go thru following buisness scenario:
Child part which is used for both assembly as well as moved to other plant as child part itself thru STO ( stock transfer to other plant).
Here the requirement for the child part get collated whether it from assembly requiremnt or direct child part requirement all are pooled & goes as vendore schdules thru mrp run.
The requiremnt is, what ever the child part coming from assembly should be seperately identifed & released. The requirments of child part itself move to other plant thru STO should be known & released sepearately.
The person responsilble for the requirements of assembly will concentrate on getting child parts for assembly use. But the service requirements, where the child parts itself is sent thru STO is not cleary known to the supply module.
Can we have same vendor with two differnt Line items one for assembly requirment & other for child part / service requirement ? if so how do we link this in mrp.
Or is there any other method by which this scenaioe requirment can be met.
In case of any futher clarity, pl revert back

Hi,
Anyway if the Child parts are used for Assembly. So the requirement for that type is dependent reqmt for the child parts . you can see this under the mrp elements in MD04.
But if it is for STO , so the requirement for this child parts is direct reqmt for STO
From the colum MRP element , you can split the reqmt and sent thru the vendor for purchasing for the child parts
