Schedule manager for budget cycle
Hi,
I have a requirement from client where they want to configure a schedule manager for budget cycle and link it to a transaction code.So whenever a user logs into the schedule manager he gets an update as to when he has to update the budget.This is more of calendar( timelines guidence) requirement.They do not want the system to update the budget cycle automatically.
The idea is to ensure that user has the authority to maintain budget cycle at the same time the timelines are maintained by system.
Can this be done through schedule manager ? if yes can some hep me with config.
If no, then is there any other alternative to this.

Please note that I want the Schedule manager for following activites.
GL PLANNING: GP12N, GLPLUP, GP12NA
DBC planning via KE13N, KEPM, KE30
STRUCTURE COST PLANNING VIA KP06.
The client wants to maintain the calendar for this planning processes and track their status as well.
Please let me know as to how can this be configured.

Is there a way to disable touch on the Helix and get a power management for battery cycles?
As the title describes.
I've been drawing a fair bit on the Helix using photoshop but what to find a way to disable touch. I used to be able to do it on my x220t through the control panel>isd tablet settings. Windows 8 doesn't have that option. Please don't mention palm rejection as it doesn't always work.
Also I'd live to know if there is a battery gauge to show the battery cycle of the helix. I know the battery is in good condition. What i'd like to know is the cycles of both batteries.So I have found a temp work-around that does the deed. I have been using a lot of autodesk sketch, and its bomb if you don't have to worry about your hand touching the screen while you sketch. Here is how I have been doing it.

Under this section you will find three USB Drivers installed. I found that if I desable the second USB Driver, then the touch screen stops working, but the Digitizer still works 100%. Just re-enable when you want to use the touch again. I really wish Lenovo had software to take care of this out of the box. But as I said, It works for the time being. -
Check point in fund management for budget and creation of po
I have a Budget for a perticular expenses say Rs 100000/-, so the po should not be created for more than Rs 100000/- as per the budget. but the po is been created for more than the budget amount.
pls. let me know where the check point has to be maintain.

First of all as a primary step you can do the following :
1. is the commitment item getting derived in the PO.
2. Is the commitment item non statistical ( means you have not put the tick on statistical commitment item ) in FMCIA .
3. check the budget amount via the report FMRP_RW_BUDCON for the budget amount and released amount .

Using Schedule Manager (FMDM) to manage budget carry forward for commitment

Using ECC 5.0, we have a business requirement to carry forward (FMJ2) some open commitments with budget and some open commitments without budget to the new fiscal year. We have attempted to use Schedule Manager (FMDM) to change the settings on open commitments (purchase requisitions and purchase orders). While the Schedule Manager reflects the change in the budget carry forward status, the application of the FMJ2 does not work as expected. Alternatively, we have changed the configuration settings and then transported changes to production environment.
I would appreciate guidance on how to troubleshoot operation of Schedule Manager so budget carrry forward status can be managed with this tool.

Addition of standard programs in Schedule Manager Flow definitions
Hello Experts,
I want configure schedule manager for month end closing.
In that I am creating flow definition. In the flow definition I want to insert one program RKAZCO43COWL which is standard program & which is also entered in the table SCMAPROGRAMS in the reaspective appplication.
But still I am unable to find it in the input help for creating program in the flow definition.
Please help. Is there any other way where in I need to register the standard program ? How can I find it in the input help ?

Month End Closing - Schedule Manager

Does anybody know what are the other tools offered by SAP for month end closing?
I am trying to use Schedule Manager (SCMA) but its not letting me define dependencies on "Notes" task. I mean I am trying to add "Notes" task in Schedule Manager for the specific month end tasks which will be performed outside of SAP and user will just checkmark in SCMA.

Version Management for Scheduling Agreement
Hi Experts,
We have activated Version Management for Scheduling Agreement - LP. When we create a Scheduling Agreement, it is generating zero version but 'Net Order Value' is showing as zero in versions tab. We have also addressed fields 'NETPR' and 'NETWR' for document type - LP, in Set up Change displays.
Can any one please suggest a solution for this.

HI FM gurus !!
We have an issue in FM .We do the service entry for Transporters for the whole years charges at one time . ( for some reason it cant be done for the month) So we have to pass the FI entry for the Prepaid Expenses. But when we do this entry in FI corresponding effect goes in FM and the Budget for this committment item gets INCREASED. THIS WE DONT WANT since this temperorily available budget may get used for other things. This is the background .
so All we would like to do is to prevent the budget update in FM for this Prepaid entry. How can we do this ? is there any config or BADI ?

For budget not being available for consumption after being posted through FMBB th issue was in my AVC profile. and for the second part where budget was not consumed after invoice being posted through FB60 the issue was in my fiscal yeas variant year shift. the posting was taking plane in the wrong fiscal yeas hence consuming budget for that particular fiscal year and not of the year i intended to post to. Maybe you wanted to ask if you also can install the free of chare as another instance, yes of course you can maybe if you wnat this as a demo. But is faster/more convenient for administration to use the full licence otherwise you need to mantain an isolation group per SAP instance.

Schedule Manager userown Variant SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN
Hello groupies,
i did create userown variants of sap1 (Z01) and sap0 (Z00) for schedule manager in spro.
i copied the activities in the source variants into Z01 and Z00. I did no other things.
In SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN i would like tot create a new tasklist for change request management.
1. i did link the variant z01 to the project.
2. I create per button "create tasklist"
effect:
Now is the problem that the system set an error message like this :"Error in Phasecontroller".
The system creates the Tasklist but no Maint. cycle SDMM.
The same problem exists fact of z01.
I think there is a possibility to link the SDMM; SDMN; SDDV to the tasklist variant, but I dont know where.
do anyone have a solution to solve the problem?

AndyTake the memory card out of the camer and put it in a card reader. When it mounts on the desktop select it and try to change the name. However, that might make it incompatible with the camera. You'll just have to try and see.

I activated BCS and use update profile 000350 (Separate PB/CB budget lines; standard), we tried to post simple FI posting and the error come up

Diagnosis
The FM update profile does not support the year of cash effectivity for commitment/actual values (posting ledger 9B). However, the year of cash effectivity is mandatory in BCS budgeting for budget category 9G and FM area 0100: the minimum value in this case is 2009.
System Response
Processing of the commitment/actual data record stops.
Procedure
Deactivate the year of cash effectivity for the corresponding budget category 9G and FM area 0100 in the IMG activity Choose Budget Category.

So I click the link and it goes to Define Budget Category screen where we assign budget category (9G) and time horizon (1) to a FM area, but not mention of deactivating year of cash activity.
My question is:
1. Where is the button to deactivate the year of cash effectivity?
2. What's the difference between budget category 9B and 9G? Both are Commitment Budget.
3. I dont remember assigning budget category 9B to an FM area. Where is the setting?

When you go to IMG - Public Sector Management - Funds Management Government - Budget Control System (BCS) - BCS Budgeting - Basic Settings - Definition of Budget Data - Choose Budget Category, what's the settings for 'Time horizon' field? It should be blank for 9G(commitment), if you don't work with cash effectivity.
9B is posting ledger, while 9G is budget ledger. You don't have to assign 9A/9B to FM area.
