Schedule Recharge every 30 days

I had a problem yesterday cos my credit ran out, which is normal for a pre-paid, but I have a scheduled recharge on the 9th every month, and although I still had credit left, my credit ended on the 8th, as october has 31 days, not the 30 days the credit expires in. so I had no credit for the day. Would it be possible to make a schedule Recharge every 30 days, instead of the once a month? as it is now.

Two amendments to my previous post: Firstly, although there are a range of options for addressing the 30-day-recharge-problem perhaps the best one would be to have credit expire on multiples of calendar months instead of every X days. So, for example, your Cap Encore $30 expires in "1 month"; the Simplicity $30 expires in "2 months". So too for Plus Packs (expiry in "1 month"). One reason why that might be desirable is many third party usage monitoring apps calculate rollover dates on a monthly basis rather than a "Every X days" basis. Of course they do this because most Telcos around the world figure it on a monthly (calendar) basis. I use Telstra 24x7 (and the widget is great, although it could improve) but I'd also like to use other usage monitoring apps.
Secondly, I now see that there is at least one complete workaround solution for us users. For I now see that Plus Packs (except for International Roaming Browse Plus Pack) can be purchased via SMS. So we should be able to have the following soluton: Set up an "Every X Days" SMS schedule using an SMS App like Handset for the Basic Plan and Plus Packs. Set the Basic Plan to recharge at a particular time of day, then do the Plus Packs 10 minutes later.
Note that at the moment when you recharge the "30 day expiry", for both the Basic Plan and the Plus Packs, it is actually set to be 30 days plus 12 hours. You can confirm this by examining your expiry date/times in Telstra 24x7 or the online Mobile Handset Account (https://m.telstra.com/wsc/accountDetails.mml) (make sure to surf via 3G not Wifi).
That feels like a testimony to a clever Telstra programmer who thought things through when being handed down the (not obviously) ridiculous "30 day expiry" policy from above. That 12 hour window allows us to use a third party SMS app, like Handset, to perform a "Every X days" schedule without having to worry about losing credit due to timing issues. Thanks clever Telstra programmer!

  • I bought a refurbished iphone 5 from Verizon. The battery has to be recharged every day. I don't use it very much, yet I always have to put it on the charger, why is that ?

    I'm really annoyed that the battery in my iphone 5 loses it's charge so quickly, won't even make it through the day. I turned off some of the notifications and other features that I don't use but it doesn't seem to make any difference.

  • Recharge battery every day or plug into wall?

    Never had a laptop before. I use all of the battery power every day or every other day. Have been using only on battery and recharging every day or every other day. Is it okay to use plugged into the wall?

    Don't do this if you don't need to. You should run your battery all the way out (i.e., calibrate it) every month or two, but such constant complete-cycle use will kill your battery quickly.
    Is it okay to use plugged into the wall?
    Yes.

  • How do I schedule a task at a specific time of day, every day?

    I am trying to use Timer and TimerTask to schedule an event at specific time of the day. It will basically stop all the logging archive the log file and start a new logfile.
    I am just having trouble with scheduling it for every day at specific time (I am new to java and have not worked with date and time much). If someone can point me to some sample code or show me a brief example I would really appreciate it. I am about to pull my hair.
    Thanks in advance!!!

    hi
    I assume you use the swing class. As you suggest, to schedule an event you have to use a timer. The delay of the timer can easy be calculated using GregorianCalendar objects. Create one for the current date/time by instantiating an object. Create a second and set the date to the next schedule date/time. Retrieve the milliseconds from both objects and calculate the differences.

    You can use lauchd to run the script.
    Here's an example of an Automator App that I have scheduled to run at 7am daily:
    You would save this as com.yourname.plist and put it the the Folder: ~/Library/LaunchAgents/ (then log out and back in, or reboot)
    (To run a workflow, change open to automator)

  • Dynamic date parameters for a scheduled report that runs every day

    I have a report that has input parameters for a start date and
    end date. The report will be scheduled to run once a day at a
    scheduled time. I need the report to automatically set the start
    date and end dates when the report runs at the scheduled time.
    When the report runs at the scheduled time, the end date needs
    to be set to that time and the start date needs to be set to 24
    hrs before the end date. I want the start and end dates to roll
    forward automatically when the scheduled report runs each day. I
    don't want any user intervention to change the start and end
    dates every day. How can I do this in a report ?
    Also, since the report is scheduled to run each day, I want the
    output to be saved to a unique file name each time the report is
    run as each day's report will report on the data only for that
    day. How can I get the report to save to a unique file name
    automatically each day ? Again, I don't want any user
    intervention where they would set the output file name manually.

    Try adding the following in the beforereport or beforepform
    trigger, before the RETURN clause (TRUNC gets rid of the time
    component of the date):
    :p_date_from := TRUNC(sysdate) - 1;
    :p_date_to := TRUNC(sysdate);
    :desname := 'REPORT'||TO_CHAR(sysdate, 'DDMMYYYY')||'.txt'

  • When I schedule my computer to sleep at a certain time every day, it goes to sleep at a completely different time.

    I've been struggling with this problem for a bit.
    I want the computer to sleep every night at 11pm, and wake every day at 9am.
    I've set the times in the power saving preferences panel. No problem. However, at 19:42 every day, I'm told that the computer is scheduled to shut down, and do I REALLY want to do that? Of course I don't, so I cancel.
    It wakes up pretty reliably at 9am, I'm pretty sure, but of course I have to put it to sleep myself.
    I tried unchecking both items and quitting preferences, then coming back in, and the times are set back to 12:00AM. Then I set them to the times I want.
    I THINK it might work for a little while after that, but then go back to this odd behaviour of trying to go to sleep at what seems to be an arbitrary time, though it's the SAME arbitrary time every day. :/
    Anyone seen this?

  • I need to create a schedule that will be performed every day

    Hi,

    Easy, use DBMS_SCHEDULER to schedule the job to start at a particular time every day.
    [...] and finish their work at a certain time. [...]
    What should it do if it finishes early? What should it do if it hasn't finished its work by the given time? There may be things you can do to make it crash out at a given time - but its helpful to know what your aims are first.

    I don't have a clue what that last sentence means, let alone a solution.

  • Schedule Job to run every day at 01:00:00 i.e. mid-night 01:00 AM

    Dear Gurus,
    I want to create a job that will run every day at 01:00:00 i.e. mid-night 01:00 AM.
    and the above job will be started from 2-Jul-2010 01:00:00
    I have created below code.
    BEGIN
    DBMS_SCHEDULER.CREATE_JOB(
    JOB_NAME => 'Smry_Dly_Trial'
    ,JOB_TYPE => 'PLSQL_BLOCK'
    ,JOB_ACTION => 'BEGIN Periodic.Execute_Smry_Job(''HOURLY''); END;'
    ,START_DATE => to_date('2-Jul-2010 01:00:00','DD-Mon-YYYY HH24:MI:SS')
    ,REPEAT_INTERVAL => 'FREQ=DAILY; BYDAY=MON,TUE,WED,THU,FRI,SAT,SUN; BYHOUR=1;'
    ,ENABLED => TRUE
    ,COMMENTS => 'Generates Call Summary Daily');
    END;
    Could any one suggest me is it fine or any change needed.
    Regards
    Sanjeev

    Seems fine.
    You could also use trunc(to_date('01-jul-2010'))+1+1/24 for your start date.

  • What's best for the battery: recharge each day or only every second day

    Hi.
    I can go two days on the battery of the Xperia Z1 Compact. How do I make sure the battery lasts the longest: By charging every day at about 50 percent battery, or by charging every second day at less than 10 percent battery, thus reducing the number of charge cycles the battery gets?

  • How can i run one procedure at the fix time every day?

    Hi.
    I write a procedure.it can open a text file.Now, I'd like run it every day at 24:00.
    How can i do that?
    thanks alot.

    and on the other, other hand. If you are using Oracle, schedule it in the Oracle job queue. Look into the DBMS_JOB package (DBMS_JOB.SUBMIT more specifically).
    something like this would work:
    variable jobno number;
    variable instno number;
    begin
    select instance_number into :instno from v$instance;
    dbms_job.submit(:jobno, 'statspack.snap;', trunc(sysdate+1), 'trunc(SYSDATE+1)', TRUE, :
    instno);
    commit;
    end;
    That would schedule it at midnight I believe.

  • Outlook and owa freezes every day, sometimes at the same time

    Hello,
    I have very strange problem! 2 users complain that the outlook hangs every day, approximately at the same time. But other 200 users work fine. I can't see any error on the mail servers ( two servers exchange 2010 sp 3 with dag) Outlook can hangs for 15 min
    with user, who has mailbox 1,5 Gb and about 3-5 min with user, who has mailbox 150 Mb.
    When outlook hangs, owa logon also hangs and then they start working simultaneously.
    It doesn't depend on the server where I try to run owa. I tried to move mailbox to new database, but it didn't resolve my problem.
    There are no any scheduled tasks on exchange servers at this time. No performans issues. Maybe some problems of connectivity with AD, but I don't see any suspicious event.

    Hi,
    It sounds like mailbox curroption. I'd suggest you move those two mailboxes to another mailbox database, and then try againt to see if this works.
    We may also try New-MailboxRepairRequest. For more information, please refer to:
