Would like to ask if B1 has the function to make schedule to generate a report and export it to excel file?
seems B1 doesn't has this function, is it ?

Hi,
You could try to use autoit (search it in Google). Its a powerful scripting tool that able to mimic a user's action. After you manage to get the script then schedule it in the Windows Scheduled Task.

Why do you need SSIS for this? Why not simply set a subscription to deliver reports in csv format through mail?

Accessing generated reports by scheduler through SDK

Hi,
I am using BO XI R2 and recently get the sample code about scheduling.
I was successfull to schedule a report through Java SDK and migrated our Web application.
Here is workflow I am thinking
1. A user logs in our web application. BO XI will pre-configured that the user has inbox in the server
2. When the user click the report, schedule report on the server
3. The user navigate away, possibly relogin later to check if the report is done
4. The user need to see if the report is ready in our web application -- Missing part
I beliebe I figure it out #1,2,3 but not sure if there is API to get the generated report from user' inbox.
Now, I am checking it in the user's inbox but actual user would not have access BO server.
I should create a web page that list report has done or progress based on user(like history page) and give the user to download the reports.
Not sure if I explain it well.
Are there any API or sample code for this?

Thanks for the reply. It seems it was due to conflict on IP address. BO support helped us to resolve this. We have 2 NIC card so we hard coded the IP address in the CMS and we also hard coded CMS name in all the services. We used -port and -ns command line. This resolved this issue. Also, in web application we used stateserver instead of Inproc for sessions.

SharePoint 2010: Scheduled Web Analytics Reports workflow is not sending ANY email

Hello,
I've a SharePoint 2010 Enterprise farm. I setup a Scheduled Web Analytics Reports workflow in a site collection with different web analytics reports options checked. So far I've not got ANY email. When I went to Site Workflows, I'm seeing that the workflow
is running. When I click on Completed status, I see below outcome in the Workflow History section:
"Email sent but reports with no data were not attached."
And I see below information in the Workflow History list:
"Attached are the daily Web Analytics reports for 1/7/2015 through 1/7/2015 for SharePoint Site Collection
http://server/team/site scheduled by workflow "SharePoint Site Web Analytics Reports". "
I am able to generate the reports manually by going to Site Collection Web Analytics Reports, but I want to schedule them. The problem is I'm not getting ANY email in my inbox. What am I missing here? Are the emails getting filtered by Outlook or workflow
is not sending emails at all?
Please help! This is getting frustrated.

Hi Ashish,
Based on your description, my understanding is that the email is not sent from the Scheduled Web Analytics Reports workflow.
I recommend to the things below:
1. Check if the Outgoing email has been configured for the web application where you run the Scheduled Web Analytics Reports workflow.
In Central Administration > Application management > Manage web applications > select the corresponding web application > click General Settings in the ribbon and select Outgoing E-mail.
2. Make sure that your account has email address configured.

Since this morning we have been having a problem with FSRM on Windows Server 2008 R2, it is no longer running storage reports (both scheduled and on-demand).

We have uninstalled and reinstalled the FSRM role service but are still having the same problem.
Anybody have any ideas?

From the error message, it failed because of "invalid argument: storagetype = '101' ".
101 means the storage type is "system" + "cache". Is there any change on your storage before the issue occurs? For example whether the source storage is changed?

Getting error while generating report from Siebel (Siebel/BI Publisher)

I have completed the integration of siebel and BIP according to the oracle document, I successfully upload the sample template from siebel application to BIP server.
But now I am facing two issues,
I am getting error "Unauthorized access, Please contact the administrator." when I open report on BIP which I have uploaded from siebel.

This specifically means that the destinations have not been configured in the Crystal Job Server. If you're running 4.x, this may be part of the "Adaptive Job Server" instead of or in addition to a Crystal Job Server. If you're using 3.1 or earlier, you'll also have to set up the destination in the Destination Job Server.
You'll have to log in to the CMC, go to Servers, right-click on the correct job server and go to "Destinations". You'll then add something like "File" or "Unmanaged Disk" to the available destinations and save. Stop the job server, start it again, and your error should go away.
Please be aware that unless you're using specific credentials to schedule the report or you're saving to the server where BO is installed, you'll need to make sure that the BO services are running under a network "Services" account that has access to the folder you're scheduling the report to. By default during installation it's set to run under the "Local Services" account that doesn't have access to the network.

Imp: Generating reports in OIM 9.1.0.2

Hi All,
How can we generate reports in OIM 9.1.0.2 ?
We need to generate reports for users between two dates to keep a track of what all resources were provisioned or deprovisioned and what all changes were made to user accounts etc.
As per my understanding, this in a single term can be said as "Auditing".
So my question is: How can we enable Auditing in OIM 9.1.0.2. ?
I couldn't find much on net, so I'm posting it here.

I'm actually a newbie and I don't have much knowledge of OIM.
I came to know that I can generate the above mentioned reports by writing and adapter and attaching it to a schedule task. I am aware of how to write the adapter and how the adapter is attached to the schedule task, but I'm not actually aware of what should I code in the adapter in order to fetch the required information. i.e. what should I code, that helps me to generate a report wherein I can find the provisioned resources to a particular user between a period of time.
I am just not clear with what the approach should be in order to proceed further on this.
Any help here would really be appreciated.
I'm sorry for asking such kind of a question, but I'm very new to this and couldn't find a way better than this.

I want to know how to make use of "Group" & "Dimlist" property in generating reports. I know these are the properties available in Appset Dimensions, but how to configure and how to call in report schedule is what I have not understood. Can anybody explain it with example.

Hi, just as Nilanjan said the DIMLIST property, actually is better to use as a "group" filter inside of business rules, however it is an available property that You can use into the "memberset options of any template, clicling with the rigth bottom of your mouse and selecting the "generator filter" option, it gonna let You create eficient templates.

Multiple scheduling for same reports (with different prompt)

Hi,
I have to plan the scheduling of 10 reports (refresh and then .pdf generating). But i have to refresh these reports for 15 countries each time (prompt different between each instance).
So it will be 10*15=150 refresh done on the database !! Is it possible to make a 'massive' refresh (for all countries) and only filter by country when generated the input format (.pdf) ?
What is the best practice ?

Scheduling of ALV Reports in Background

I have schedule a Report in the Back ground and also entered the spool list so that the mail can be sent to the said users but when the Report is recvd in the mail box it is recvd as html and there are many columnns in my report that are not visible.
can i schedule the report and send the report as an excel attchement in the background processing if so then how can i do that

Hi,
Once you schedule the ALV report in background you will not get the entire list as it is. The output lenght of the ist generated in the background is set to 255 characters and generally data exceeding this lenght will be turncated.
You cannot download a report in excel in background. The FM's GUI_download will not work in backgorund. You will have to write the data on the application server and then write an additional program to read that data or alternatively use some of the std tcodes to fetch that data to the presentation system.

Can I schedule and email reports from ACS 5.1

I would like to receive a report daily on our TACACS activity on our network devices. I've looked thru the menus and searched some but have not found a clear way to generate such a report.

Working with Scheduled Reports
In ACS 5.5, you can schedule reports for a future date in such a way that ACS automatically generates the report. This can be done using the scheduled reports feature available in the Monitoring and Reports web interface. This feature is available only for the for RADIUS authentication, RADIUS accounting, TACACS+ authentication, TACACS+ authorization, and TACACS+ accounting reports. ACS generates the scheduled reports based on the given time range, exports them to a .csv file, and stores them in the specified remote repository.
Previous releases of ACS allowed you to export reports and copy the .csv file to the local file system. You need to copy the exported file using the copy command to a remote location. But in ACS 5.5, you have the option to configure the remote repository to which the generated reports are exported and stored.
An email notification is sent whenever a scheduled report is generated successfully. The email notification contains the following information:
Scheduled Report Name—Name of the scheduled report.
Cause—The reason for which you have received this email or alarm notification. In this case, the notification is a scheduled report alarm.
Details—The details of the email notification.
Repository Name—Name of the remote repository where the generated reports are stored.
Repository URL—URL of the remote repository.
File Name—Name of the generated report. The format of the filename is <Name of the Scheduled Report>-<Report Type>. For instance, if the name of the scheduled report is “report1” and the report type is RADIUS_Accounting, then the filename is displayed as: report1-RADIUS_Accounting.csv
Generated on—The date and time at which the report is generated.
ACS does not generate any alarms or email notifications if a scheduled report generation fails. To know the status of the scheduled reports, go to the Monitoring Configuration > System Operations > Scheduler page and check for the status.

Generating Reports - Any assistance appreciated

I have a task server set up to collect system information data from clients all over our district. I have been able to generate reports for most of the clients that I have added to my lists. These have been machines that have been both on and off line. Now that we are in the middle of spring break, I have been trying to generate more reports, but I cannot. The reports will only be collected from computers that are "on line."
Shouldn't the report data come from the task server and not the clients? It shouldn't matter if the clients are on or off line, right? Am I missing something?
Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yes. I set the task server up before capturing and adding client to lists. 4 months or so since we began this project. My last report generated (3/3) had around 1200 clients. The ones I ran this week, (with students out for vacation) I could generate reports for the few that were not powered off for the week. I have 2500 in my lists (and will continue to grow to around 4000-5000).
I have set the upload to task server schedule on a school by school basis. Different days and times per school. We were finding that there may have been some bandwidth issues at a couple of schools that are totally wireless and are syncing php's daily, so I had to alter there task server schedule.
I had not been using the "rebuild data" because everything I read made me to believe the reports would then generate from the clients and not the task server if that was checked. Is it actually the other way around?
This whole process has been very time consuming and major headache causing project. ARD does not seem to live up to the hype....then again what really does?
