    I received this today jan 30 2014

    Afternoon, Deggie,
D'you mind if I ask you a question?   Here in the UK I don't get e-mails advising of maintenance: I get, if I'm lucky enough to spot it, a band towards the top of the opening Communities page in the form of a general announcement.   Does one need to register somewhere to receive these e-mails.
Looking at the questions this one raised perhaps I don't need them
Thanks in advance if you can advise.

  • Scheduled Maintenance basic start and finish date

    Hi Expert,
I'm using WO type say PM04 for schedule maintenance. In its maintenance plan i'm using prioity "medium" that starts form 7 - 14 days.I also have already set the scheduling type in OPU7 - adjust scheduling into "Do not adjust basic dates, dep. reqmts to order start"
after run deadline monitoring WO PM04 that generated is resulted as per below:
    basic start date: 13.08.2010
    basic finish date: 13.08.2010
the basic dates does not reflect the priority "medium"
pls help how can i configure the basic dates setting that align to its priority.
    Thanks
    Rgds,

    Hi ,
plz check if the below user exit is helpful or no

  • Get latest order for a scheduled maintenance plan

    Hi experts,
I have a requirement where i have to get the order id for a scheduled Maintenance plan.My scenario is explained as below:
A maintenace plan is scheduled and as a result of it an order will be created automatically  by system. Now i have to write a Report program which will be running daily and this report has to pick only those order which are NOT complete and these order will come from the above scheduled maintenance plan.
Therefore i have to pick incomplete order based on scheduled maintenance plan.Any idea how to achieve this requirement?
In case of any doubt please let me know.
    Regards,
    Abhishek

Thanks for reply. But my requirement is a bit differen.
I need a BAPI which can take Maintenance Plan as input and it can return the latest created incomplete order which is created due to scheduling of Maintenance Plan.

    Abhishek

  • August 2014 Scheduled Maintenance - Are Web and Worker Roles affected?

Are Web and Worker Roles affected by the Scheduled Maintenance that will be performed on Aug 2, 2014?  The email that I received from Microsoft Azure states that it will affect VMs and Cloud Services and goes on to say how to keep your VMs available
despite the maintenance by setting up Availability Sets for VMs, but does not mention a strategy for Web and Worker roles.
    What am I missing here?

    Hello Farid_Azure,
Yes, the Web and Worker Roles are also affected by the scheduled maintenance as the web roles and worker roles are residing on the hardware that will go on maintenance.
The Cloud Service deployments will also reboot during the maintenance. You can increase the number of instances running for your web roles and worker roles to avoid being affected:

I hope that this answers your question.

  • How do I schedule maintenance"

How do I schedule maintenance? Or check to see if it's already performing that task

What maintenance? There's no maintenance that you need to schedule.
Kappy's Personal Suggestions for OS X Maintenance
For disk repairs use Disk Utility.  For situations DU cannot handle the best third-party utilities are: Disk Warrior;  DW only fixes problems with the disk directory, but most disk problems are caused by directory corruption; Disk Warrior 4.x is now Intel Mac compatible. Drive Genius provides additional tools not found in Disk Warrior.  Versions 1.5.1 and later are Intel Mac compatible. An outstanding source of information is OS X Maintenance - MacAttorney.
OS X performs certain maintenance functions that are scheduled to occur on a daily, weekly, or monthly period. The maintenance scripts run in the early AM only if the computer is turned on 24/7 (no sleep.)
If you are using a pre-Leopard version of OS X, then an excellent solution is to download and install a shareware utility such as Macaroni, JAW PseudoAnacron, or Anacron that will automate the maintenance activity regardless of whether the computer is turned off or asleep.  Dependence upon third-party utilities to run the periodic maintenance scripts was significantly reduced since Tiger.  (These utilities have limited or no functionality with Snow Leopard, Lion, or Mountain Lion and should not be installed.)
OS X automatically defragments files less than 20 MBs in size, so unless you have a disk full of very large files there's little need for defragmenting the hard drive. As for virus protection there are few if any such animals affecting OS X. You can protect the computer easily using the freeware Open Source virus protection software ClamXAV. Personally I would avoid most commercial anti-virus software because of their potential for causing problems. For more about malware see Macintosh Virus Guide.
I would also recommend downloading a utility such as TinkerTool System, OnyX 2.4.3, or Cocktail 5.1.1 that you can use for periodic maintenance such as removing old log files and archives, clearing caches, etc.
For emergency repairs install the freeware utility Applejack.  If you cannot start up in OS X, you may be able to start in single-user mode from which you can run Applejack to do a whole set of repair and maintenance routines from the command line.  Note that AppleJack 1.5 is required for Leopard. AppleJack 1.6 is compatible with Snow Leopard. (There is no confirmation that this version also works with Lion or later.)
When you install any new system software or updates be sure to repair the hard drive and permissions beforehand. I also recommend booting into safe mode before doing system software updates.
Get an external Firewire drive at least equal in size to the internal hard drive and make (and maintain) a bootable clone/backup. You can make a bootable clone using the Restore option of Disk Utility. You can also make and maintain clones with good backup software. My personal recommendations are (order is not significant):
      1. Carbon Copy Cloner.
      2. Data Backup
      3. Deja Vu
      4. SuperDuper!
      5. SyncTwoFolders
      6. Synk Pro
      7. Synk Standard
      8. Tri-Backup
Visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQs on maintenance, optimization, virus protection, and backup and restore.
Always have a current backup before performing any system updates or upgrades.

  • How to schedule Maintenance Mode in SCOM 2012?

    Hi
How do I schedule Maintenance Mode in SCOM 2012? Do we have any tool for 2012 like we had with 2007?
    Regards,
    Akhilesh
    Thanks, Akhilesh

Yep - to add a calendar takes some extra steps:
    E.g.
    1) Create a database which includes a table to store information such as:
    - target for maintenance mode
    - scheduled time for maintenance mode
    - Comments
    - Duration
    - Reason
    2) The Service Request fires off an Orchestrator runbook that stores this information in the database
    3) Another Runbook that runs frequently that checks the database to see if it should kick off maintenance mode.
It isn't any easy solution for maintenance mode. It works better for more simplistic scheduling e.g. we do implement this kind of logic for environment refreshes and backups where we use the SM Portal and Orchestrator to log a date and then have another
runbook that runs at 2am every day to check if it should execute a backup \ refresh.
    Cheers

  • Scheduling Agreement Delivery Schedule Maintenance

I have recently been given the task to maintain the delivery schedules
for schedule agreements in the EKET table using data from external
sources. I have been unsuccessful at finding standard interface
techniques (Call Transaction, BAPI, …) to do this. A similar program
already exists at my client site that uses the SAP function
ME_UPDATE_SCHEDULES_DISPO to do this, but I am uncomfortable issuing a call to this function out of context to accomplish these updates.
Can anyone confirm for me that use of this function would essentially be
the same as calling a BAPI (if one existed) and that there should be
little or no risk to our application as a result of using this approach?
Please note that my question concerns scheduling agreements and not
purchase orders.  I have found references to BAPIs for scheduling agreement maintenance in release 6.0, but my client is running release 4.7.

    hi,
    plz go thru following threads
How to pass table as input parameter of a BAPI ?
Pass Parameters from InputField to BAPI
Pls let me know how to pass the parameters for the bapi  BAPI_OBJCL_CHANGE

  • MRP for Scheduled Maintenance Plan

    Hello here!
    Please help me.
I customised MRP type VB (Manual Reorder Point Planning).
Then I created monthly Task List with some components from materials.
In next step i assigned my Task List to my Maintanance Plan.
I Scheduled and Started my Maintanance Plan (from 30.07.2011).
If I run MRP(01.08.2011) and Work Order was created (30.07.2011) - everything work great. MRP will create Purchase Requisition.
But i need to customise MRP for posibility of creating Purchase Requisition for future Work Order's(30.08.2011, 30.09.2011 etc)
    It is posible?
Thanks you and sorry for my english.

Work Order (Maintenance Order) will be created based on scheduling. In case of any stock items, Maintenance order will create the reservation.
If you run the MRP for that material, based on stock availability, MRP run will create PR.
As you are using Reorder Point Planning, system will consider that material only when the available stock comes below the Reorder point.
So you can keep safety stock by considering future orders as well, so that MRP will create PRs for future work orders.

  • Zoning implications without scheduled maintenance time?

We have a simple topology, but wish to impliment zoning. I have the zones created, but have not yet activated them. Can I activated them without scheduling a maintenance window? Does data flow stop temporarily while zones are activated?
    Thanks

    Thank you for your response!
Correct. We currently have 8 servers targeting a storage device in an unzoned environment. The Default Zone Behavior = Permit. I have created 8 different zones, each having a server targeting the srorage device. I have include these 8 into a zoneset, but haven't activated the zoneset yet. We have identical configs on 2 9216's. Each server has a single connection to each of the 9216's and each of the 9216's are conected to the storage device. The 9216's do not have an ISL trunk between them. Our intention is to activated the zoneset on each switch one at a time and do not know what to expect in regard to adverse behavior.
    Thank You.
