Scheduler configuration in OBIEE-EBS inegrated environment

Hi All,
We currently have OBIEE 10g integrated with EBS. I am trying to configure a scheduler and the configuration is completed and I am able to save ibots. But when ibot is run, I am getting the below error.

In OBIEE - EBS integration set up, how does security work with ibots.
Any suggestions on what should be done to over come this error.

This is possible, I have it running here.
Oracle may be able to provide the steps to make this happen, which involve using SA System and some code in the inti blocks which will work even when the user is not logged (i.e. the job is running at night)

I am not able to schedule the reports and send it through email. I have done the following. please help me to know what is missed?
Afte login Enterprise manager using Admin user credentials
Went to to Mail tab (Business Intelligence > coreapplication > Deployment>Mail
And entered all the below credenitials
SMTP SEVER: Server IP
PORT OF SMTP SERVER : 26
EMAIL ADDRESS OF THE SENDER: [email protected]
USERNAME : [email protected]
PASSWORD: password of the mail id
Also updated the instanceconfig.xml and biee-domain.xml from the following path respectively

2. BI Drive\user_projects\domains\bifoundation_domain\config\fmwconfig
And then created agent and scheduled it. Got a message saying "Agent has run successfully"
But dint get the mail on the recipients mail id.
Further checking found that the instanceconfig.xml from below path is not updated with the updation of biee-domail.xml file

Are you sure have you define the mail id into delivery device.

Automatic Deploying of Portal Configuration from Staging to Production Environment

Hello,
I'm anlyzing the opportunituy to write an automatic procedure that synchronize
our WebLogic Portal production environment with the staging one. These two environments
are physically separated.
I have found the BEA Propagation Tool. However it seems that is not possible to
define a procedure that is really totally automatic.
Firts of all, it is necessary to hava an manual operator that selects the objects
that have to be propagated and after starts the propagation process.
Besides it is necessary to have database connections beetween the progation tool
and both the environments.
What I'm looking for is a solution that
1. analyze the staging environment
2. export some files that contain both code, configuration and data (code, LDAP
and DB data)
3. import these files into the second enviroment
has someone deal with this problem?

to answer your questions -
1. You can find the exact date and time for these refreshes/maintenance schedule on your production pod. Just go to 'Training & Support' in your production. There will be a calendar in which you can see the maintenance schedule. The details are quite accurate. to be sure of the time I would suggest you get in touch with the Service/Support rep at Oracle.
2 & 3) Oracle CRM On Demand provides a Migration Tool that can be used to migrate configuration changes from on POD to another. This can be between Staging --> Production and vice versa. Although, I would recommend that you go through the migration tool bookshelf and understand in detail the use of this tool. There are limited configurations that can be migrated. So it would be wise to create a plan based on what changes you are looking to migrate.
Note: Reports are copied on the Staging after the refresh only from Prod to Staging. This does not happen from Staging to Production. Reports will have to be created in Production and will be copied on Staging on a Quarterly basis (Check your refresh schedule)
4) You can use the migration tool to migrate configuration changes from a live environment into another instance.

OBIEE-EBS data security integration

I am trying to implement the HR-Org based data security in EBS-OBIEE integration.
After creating the initialization blocks EBS Single Sign-on Integration,Get Oracle EBS Security Context,Group-EBS Responsibility I have created a new initialization block HR Organizations to populate the session variable "HR_ORG" and I am using the following the query.
Even though the session variables GROUP and USER are getting their values correctly and integration works fine, the variable HR_ORG says "has no value definition".
[nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 23006] The session variable, NQ_SESSION.HR_ORG, has no value definition. (HY000)

Configuring SharePoint Apps in Production Environment

SharePoint 2013 Environment. We are trying to configure SharePoint APPS in production environment. It is a medium server farm with two W.F.E's load balanced.
We have the following two DNS entires with two different wildcards pointing to the SharePoint FQDN.
contoso.com
contosoapps.com
Since we are planning to use https, In the DNS we have assigned a random ip address to just the apps domain. Created a new web application with no host header and assigned this IPAddress to this web application by changing the binding (for both http and
https) on both the servers.
When I click on the app, the redirect does not work and displays page not found error. Any help?

You said you created a new web app with no host header. Did you also create a root level site collection in the web app? You don't actually use the site collection but it needs to be there. Also make sure that https is the default zone
on that web app. Apps normally only use the default zone for redirecting to the address and if you are using https it won't work unless that is the default zone.

PI - Schedule Configuration Task

Good Morning,
In Cisco PI 2.1 I would like to create a scheduled configuration task so that each evening PI saves the running-configuration of a switch to memory. I've created and deployed the template successfully however, I can't find a way to schedule this & I'd prefer not to have to login and deploy the template each day.
Can anyone offer some advise on if this is possible?

your suggestion refers to fetching the device configuration. I think that Michael is asking about scheduling a template deployment to a device. And this is what interests me also. There is no option to reuse a task which was scheduled and to make it run on a daily, weekly basis.

Yes I have solved it by rerunning cryptotools utility , and don't encrypt the password. It seems there is a bug in the process of encrypting the pwd. Now it works fine

BI Scheduler configuration after install

Hi,
I am new to OBIEE 11g. I need to configure the Scheduler in a UAT environment in which all the services are already running for a while now, going thru the Oracle docs they say you need to do the scheduler using the RCU, and i believe RCU is done during installation of the environment.
As my environment is up and running want to know how will i configure the Scheduler and how will i create the tables needed and where are the scripts to create the tables.
I am afraid if i start the RCU again it might mess up the whole environment. I am running on LINUX.
