THANKS

Hi,
I see in your previous post that you use XDO as security model. This means that you use the local BI Publisher security and not the security of Oracle BI Server.
This procedure is performed in the Oracle BI Publisher screen’s Admin tab.
NOTE: The scheduler mentioned here is not the Oracle Business Intelligence Scheduler. It is the scheduler used only by BI Publisher.
To configure the BI Publisher for the scheduler
1- Where you want to store the scheduler schema, create a database user. Assign the user the privileges to open a session and create database objects.
2- Go to the BI Publisher page Admin tab and click on Scheduler Configuration.
3- Enter the database and created user information, as shown in the following example:
   Database Type: Oracle 10g
   Connection String:    jdbc:oracle:thin:@machine01.domain:1521:ora102
   Username: XMLPSCH2
   Database Driver: Class oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver
4- Click on Test Connection to verify the validity.
5- Click on Install Schema button and wait for confirmation.
Now you can use scheduling from BI Publisher.
Best regards,
David

    Hi Frens,
In a Purchase Order, under Item data < delivery schedule tab, we have delivered quantity, issued quantity and GR quantity fields.
Is there any TABLE to find out these quantities against PO.

Yes EKBE is the right table for your requirement.

  • Display only/Grey out Delivery Schedule tab in the PO

We are not going to use Delivery Schedule tab at all. Business wants us to Grey out the delivery schedule tab. Is it possible to make all fields under Delivery Schedule as display only? If yes, how can I do that? But, I don't want PO line qty to be grayed out.
Fields like, delivery date, scheld qty, stat.del date etc.
    Thanks everyone.

you better convince your business to wait for a couple months and then rethink this requirement.
You may not have the full understanding yet and have not made a lot experience.
in this tab you can add further requisitions to your PO item, you can close requisitions in case you order less than a requisition, you have to change the statistical delivery date in some case when you are using vendor evaluation, you may have to split the order quantity into several delivery dates  if your vendor informs you that he cannot supply you at one time with all quantity.
Just to save you money that you may spend into a development which has to be turned off a little later.

Dont you think, this has to be posted in BI Publisher forum ?
If you had, this will get more visibility.

The reports can be scheduled for later, which can be monitored(download previously run report/re-run).

  • BI Publisher - Scheduler Tab Disabled

    Hi all --
I am trying to schedule a report in BI publisher to see how it works. I have done the scheduler configuration using Oracle 10g's test schema "SH". When I click on the Test Connection option I get the message "Connection Established Successfully". Then I click on the Install Schema.
I have also added XMLP_SCHEDULER Role under Administrator.
I have re-started the BI Server and BI Publisher. But still the Schedule Tab is not showing up.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Kingsly

I have solved the Problem. I had to re-start the application server. However, I do have couple of other issues.
First, I do not the see the "Notification" heading where I can enter an email address.
Second, under the "Delivery" heading, I have a message No Server Available for Delivery"
    Thanks

  • Work Center: Capacities vs Scheduling tab

    Hi everyone,
I am confused on the link between Capacities tab and Scheduling tab when setting up the Work Center. When I run MRP and set it to Lead time scheduling and capacity planning, which figures (for setup, processing, teardown, etc time) are used for the calculation of start/finish basic date and start/finish production date? Is it the figures (setup, processing, teardown, etc time)from Capacities tab OR Scheduling tab in the Work Center? What is the link between Capacities and Scheduling?
Also, in Scheduling tab, there is also capacity category which you have to input. Is this also linked back to all the capacity category stated in the Capacities tab? If we have more than 1 capacity category which do we choose to set in Scheduling tab?
I would be very grateful for any input.
    Thank you very much.
    Cheers,
    Sue

    Hi,
The link between the scheduling and capacity
in Capacity tab we will give the capacities of particular machine ex work center is machine so we are declaring the capacity of the machine. saying I have capacity of eating 10 chocolates that is you're capacity.
if machine is working defiantly labor will be there so we are defining the labor capacity also but for calculating the dates we are using the machine capacity only which we are defining in the scheduling tab
in the scheduling tab we are declaring that for any MRP or Production consider the capacity of the Machine for calculating the dates like start date and finished dates.
In the routing we are declaring for manufacturing of X quantity of materials we require machine time, labor time setup time etc
    EX:
Machine Capacity in WC= 2 hour
Labor Capacity in WC= 2 Hr
so in the Scheduling Tab we will give machine to calculate the dates.
In routing for Manufacturing of 1 ea we require
    Machine time = 1 hour
    Labor time = 30 mins
    Set up = 20 mins
so if you have given demand for manufacturing of 10 EA run MRP
then it will give 5 days to manufacture 10 EA because work center capacity is only 2 hour..
simple logic for manufacturing of 1 EA it takes 1 hour of machine time so for manufacturing of 10 EA it takes 10 hours but my capacity is only 2 hours per day so 10/2=5 days.
hope this may clear you're dout
    Regards,
    Ravi

  • PP-Diffrence between "Capacities" tab & "Scheduling" tab in work center

    Dear Friends,
While creating work center in t.code CR01, i am entering the following formulae in "Capacities" tab:
    1. Setup formula
    2. Processing Formula
    3. Teardown formula.
I am entering the same details(formulae) in the "Scheduling" tab also.
What is the difference of maintaining the formulas is two diffrerens tabs?
If i do not maintain the formula in "Scheduling" tab, How it will effect?
    please explain me.
    Regards
    Senthil

    Hi,
      Thank you.
    Let me consider some example.
Assume in routing i have maintained standard time as 10 min for each quantity.
My total production order quantity is 100.  (Order number 300000)
So the formula in "Capacities" tab will calculate the total capacity  required to complete the production order as 1000 min. Is it so?
    1000 min means, 16.6 hours.
let us assume that, the particular work center has been blocked for another 83 (three and half days) hours by other production orders. So i can not start the work immeadiately. After three and half days only i can start the production order 300000.
So if i maintain the formula in "Scheduling" tab only, the system can propose the information that Planned start date as 07.09.2007 & Planned End date as 07.09.2007. (Based on the forward scheduling / backward scheduling). Is it so?

  • Sky Planner and Scheduled tab

I've had problems with "losing" programmes that I have set up to record on a weekly basis before. I tend to record a few regular weekly series and watch them in blocks when I'm in the mood. Occasionally I notice that a series has just stopped recording. Disappeared altogether. I used to blame myself but now I'm convinced its the box or Planner or ...something over which I have no control. For instance a programme I record regularly is "Chicago Fire" .. Tuesday 9pm, Sky Living. Watched last weeks, its sitting there showing that is viewed, its series linked. But next weeks episode is sitting there with no "R" on it. Instead , its in my scheduled tab marked "Next Episode" and it informs me that Sky will look for the next episode and record it automatically for me when it finds it. ITS NEXT TUESDAY ...9PM....SKY LIVING!!! Whats the point of having a planner that does things automatically...if it doesnt! I only noticed this by chance. Otherwise it would have been another series lost! Incidentally...."Chicago Fire " was sitting on my Scheduled Tab for months marked "Next Series" saying that it would pick that up automatically when it started.....it didnt. It has never picked up any new series in fact. I phoned Sky about this and all I get is..."have you tried resetting the Planner...dont worry , you wont lose anything!". I've worked in IT support long enough to know that means "I have no idea whats wrong....try turning it off and on again".  This is really shoddy Sky.

Thanks, I do appreciate your reply but I'm not a great believer in the Planner Rebuild type method as it doesnt really get anyone anywhere in the long run. I'd really rather highlight that there actually is a problem and that Sky should a) acknowledge it and b) fix it. As i said above "Have you tried turning it off and on again" just amounts to the support people saying "Yeah, havent got a clue why that happens, and cant be bothered to deal with it really". Theres no logical reason why this method would fix anything, and it might lose some stuff that I already have. From reading through very many other threads I keep seeing the same thing "I've done several Planner rebuilds but it still keeps happening". Tbh, we're on the verge of just writing down a weekly schedule on paper and making sure we download programmes ourselves. It really gets silly when you think you have been recording a whole series and when you come to view it find that it stopped at episode 5. There really is no point in an automatic planner, that isnt automatic and doesnt plan.

  • Disabling the 'Schedule' tab on the Reports Portlet Parameter Form

    Hi,
I have deployed several Oracle Reports through Portal using the built in Reports Portlet Parameter Form and I was wondering if anyone knows how to disable the 'Schedule' tab located on this form. I would like users to run the reports but not to schedule them.
    Thanks

    Hi .
I forgot to say that, the reports is an XML report .

    Hi.
I am facing a problem with the parameter form in reports 10g. The number of parameters in this report are huge. After designing the parameter form , i save and close the report. Now if i re-open the report to do changes, the width and height of the parameter form is reduced (which i increased changed previously) and if i click on any field , that specific field is repositioning itself inside the (reduced)border lines.
I request the forum to give a remedy on this issue.
    thanks in advance
