Scheduling agreement MRP run

Hi All,
We use Scheduling agreements for purchasing spare parts. The nightly MRP run checks the warehouse requirements and creates delivery schedule line to scheduling agreement.
Now the MRP run creates unnecessary delivery schedule lines to scheduling agreement if the earlier created delivery schedule line's delivery date has been changed manually.
Today the MRP run finds requirement for article XYZ and creates the delivery schedule line, where delivery date is 2.9.2008 (determined from articles basic data).
The Vendor confirms the delivery date as 3.10.2008 and the purchaser changes manually  (transaction ME38) the delivery date to delivery schedule line accordingly and prints the created message.
The next MRP run creates new delivery schedule line, where delivery date is again 2.9.2008.
After that there are two open delivery schedule lines for article XYZ with delivery dates 3.10.2008 and 2.9.2008.
Why the MRP run does not notice the existing delivery schedule line with the new delivery date 3.10.2008?

  • Scheduling in MRP Run MD02

    dear all,
i still confuse for using scheduling in MRP run MD02,
what is the use of using both scheduling type "1" and type "2"?
because if i run the MRP using scheduling type 2,  after i generate the planned order, then i can see the capacity planning evaluation,
but not if i run scheduling type 1
if i run the scheduling type 1, how can i analyze the capacity planning?
until now, i always run the scheduling type 2, because i think it is more useful to run scheduling type 2,
so what is the plus and the minus using scheduling type 1 or type 2?
    best regards,
    MARUFAT

    Hi,
    In simple words:
The main difference between scheduling type 1 (Basic date scheduling) & Scheduling type 2 (Lead time scheduling & Capacity requirements) is from which records MRP reads the values.
Basic dates is more like a rough scheduling where the values are read from the material master & the exact operation times are not considered or capacity requirements generated.
Lead time scheduling is more precise meaning for each in-house produced material it reads the routing & checks the time maintained for each operation, it then calculates the exact times for each operation based on the working days, shift timings, breaks & also generates capacity requirements.
Now what is the criteria to select... it depends on the business requirement. But the data maintenance for Scheduling type 2 is higher as compared to Scheduling type 1.
What is the benefit for going for Scheduling type 2.... well it gives you a clear picture on your production planning process & how much capacity is required, whether you have the requisite capacity etc etc.
Basic date scheduling is preferred when you do not want such fine control on your production planning process.
For more info refer to SAP help, it should make it more clear.

  • Dates for Backwards scheduling when MRP Run

    Hello experts,
When MRP run, which calendar does SAP take to schedule planned orders? where could I indicate it?
    Thanks in advance.
    Laura

    Thank you all,
I have checked the calendar that is assigned to my plant, and, as you have said, is the one that is taking into consideration to determine the dates.
In my case, Saturdays and Sundays are not workdays. As a result, every purchase requisition has its release date assigned to a workday.  What I have noticed is that although Saturdays and Sundays are not work days, planned delivery time and In-house production time is taking them into consideration to calculate the release date. What I mean is that those two fields are defined as calendar days. Is that correct??
    Thanks again.

    hi,
I don't see any direct solution for it...
    but indirectly,
Try to remove the line item ie. source from the source ...and try again...
its not possible to do via changing the dates...nor any source doc...system still create the procurment...
also try via changing the MRP indicator in the source list to NO MRP...
    let me know updates..

  • Scheduling Agreement Problem

When a schedule agreement is created in SAP 1000 company code  with one price; in many cases the price will subsequently change.
The new price for the material is maintained by purchasing.
At the time of an invoice matching against the PO however - SAP appears to validate the invoice against the original price, rather than the current price.
Thus an incorrect price variance is notified to the  processor.
How to take action on this plz kindly give me the right solution.
    Regards
    sapman

    Dear all
Price should be maintained in Purchase Info record first,Then If any changes happens after Sch.Aggrement creation you need to create One new scheduling agreemnt & u have to update in Source list the New Schedule Agreement No & MRP indicate 2, to create Delivery schedule during MRP run.
If you do as per the above,I think price will not get changed

  • Contracts/scheduling agreements

    Hi,
Could anyone suggest me some useful links on contracts/ scheduling agreements?
    Thanks in advance
    Aparna

    Dear,
Outline agreements in procurement can be 2 types:
    Contracts or Scheduling agreements.
Contract is where you have a contract with the vendor, may be a for a predetermined quantity or predefined value. So everytime you need the matl,  you need to make PO ref the contract asking for the delivery of the matl. In such instance when PO is ref with contract its called contract release orders or call off orders.
Scheduling agreement is a long term purchase agreement, where you will keep issuing the delivery schedules whenever there is a change in requirement or at predetermined time intervals. The delivery schedule can be on hour/daily/weekly/monthly basis. But it will contain different zones viz. firm/tradeoff/Forecast.  Firm zone schedules are confirmed requirement and need to be taken by ordered party. Tradeoff zone requirement is to purchase the raw materails and ordering party is liable to pay raw material cost, in case of requirement cancellation. Forecast zone requirement is to help the vendor to plan his requirements.
SA is also an agreement with the vendor for the supply of matl, may be a quanity or value. The delivery dates will be maintained in ME38 ref the SA which are called delivery schedules. So you can maintain the delivery schedule and communicate the vendor on Forecase basis or JIT basis. And when you need some more matl then will only create SA deliveries using ME38. SA could be of 2 types:- without release documentation-system will transmit the delivery info to the vendor once you save the document.
With release documentation- after creating the delivery schedules you need to create SA release using ME84.
The main difference between contract and SA is volume of docs generated would be higher in contract since everytime you need to make a PO ref the contract and its time consuming, whereas SA can be integrated with MRP such that it automatically creates delivery schedules during MRP run provided if there is a requirement to the matl.

  • Planned delivery cost for the scheduling agreement

    Hi Experts
    1. I have an requirement to post Invoice ver. for the Planned delivery cost (freight, customs duty,CVD etc) against the Scheduling Agreement just like Import Purchases with checking off the GR Based IV Indicator before doing the GR
I tried it but its giving me that no delivery costs are Planned in the Scheduling agreements it runs fine in case of the PO because PO is a time independent.  Please inform how to post the same for schedule agreement with time dependent indicator on. I tried switching off the time dependent indicator and the system allowed, but my requirement is to Post I.V for the delivery cost with the time dependent indicator on.
Appreciate if you can suggest something in this case Urgently .
    2. Aother issue is we have some uploaded Scheduling agreement from legacy system with Time dependent conditions. For this we need to post planned delivery cost in Miro. Since the system is not allowing to post, how to about for this. Shall we enter the delivery cost in unplanned delivery cost in Miro and post.  Please suggest if any alternate solution is available.
    Regards
    Arvind

    Hi,
As you know if the delivery cost document is not posted during GR the
delivery cost is not proposed during invoice (MIRO). Planned delivery
cost will be proposed in invoice only when there are records in EKBZ
table. The EKBZ table will be updated when delivery cost is posted
    during GR itself.
Please ensure in the PO itself thatr the conditions have been defined
properly with the relevant amounts and values.
During GR when planned delivery cost conditions are present in PO,
system checks for values in amount field. Then only appropriate
calculations will be done for delivery cost and planned delivery cost
document will posted during GR and hence updates EKBZ table.
Solution to this issue is described in below steps,
    1) reverse the invoice document
    2) reverse GR document.
    3) You have to give values in amount field in relevant conditions ZGDS
       in the PO.
If you face any issues changing the values, delete above conditions
and put it again manually and give values in amount field also.
    4) Post GR once again, delivery cost document will also be posted.
You can check it in PO history.
    5) During invoice select Item + planned delivery cost and post the
invoice. If you need planned delivery cost to be posted separately,
then you can post individual invoice for item and delivery cost.
Please note it is not possible to post delivery costs for documents with
    multiple accountassignments.
For your second question, I am afraid I can not answer. Please open a new ntry in the forum, so that someone else can answer it.
    Best Regards,
    Arminda Jack

  • Changing buyer on PO or scheduling agreement

    Hi All,
In SAP you have the functionality to send a mail to the buyer when an invoice is blocked for price differences. This mail is being send using the ME partner profile and it determines the buyer from the PO or SA to send the mail. My question is how can one change the buyer that is assigned to a PO or scheduling agreement?
We are making heavy usage of scheduling agreement which run for more then one year. Now it happens that a buyer leaves the company and his work is taken over by another buyer so we would need to have these mails send to the new responsible person.
Could you experts advise on how this could be done? We don't want to re-create new scheduling agreements each time a buyer leaves the company.
    Regards,
    Peter

    Hi Jurgen,
The purchasing group, ok that one I have but this is not the field that is used for the sending of the mail on price differences after posting the invoice in MIRO. This is the buyer name, aka the creator of the document.
Now we have a buyer that is leaving the company and the mails need to go now to the new buyer and we don't want to changed all the scheduling agreements and PO's created by this buyer.
I find it strange that SAP gives the option to send mails to buyers but does not offer any option to change this data if needed.

  • Order of delivery schedule line counter at schedule agreements from MRP run

Currently we are using schedule agreements for our long term external suppliers, but we are facing a problem with the order of new delivery schedule lines created during MRP run.
Because of master data settings like, lot size, rounding value, plan delivery time and planning time fence to set as firm new requirements, multiple schedule lines are created with no order for schedule line counter.
Does anyone is aware of a BADI, user exit or customizing control to have this schedule line counter in order?
    Thank you

  • To generate Schedule lines for scheduling Agreement when MRP is run.

    Hi,
Please help advise on my following requirement:
When I run the MRP for 'Single Item - Multi level' (MD02) for a material, I want MRP to generate delivery schedule lines for that material in Scheduling agreement.
Please advise as to how i can go about with this.
    Regards,
    Manju

    Hi Manju,
For this you need to set creation indoactor for planning run in SPRO.
The path is spro-MM-CBP-Carry out overall maintenance of plant parameters-Click on maintain-give your plant-click on external procurement under planning run-here you can give your option for the schedule line creation.
Traction code is omi8. Hope this will help you.
    Cheers

    Hi,
The basic difference between LP and LPA  is the way that the schedules are communicated to the vendor.
