Scheduling in production order

Dear all hi,
I have a production order which takes 5 working days to complete the production qty of 10 units.
When i select the forward scheduling & enter the start date 01.01.2008, then the system is correctly calculating the basic finish date as 06.01.2008.
but when i select backwards & enter the basic finish date as today 28.12.2007, the system is scheduling the basic start date as today but not scheduling backwards as i require it to be 23.12.2008
please help.

23.12.2007 is in past and how can an order start in past. This is what leading to some error
Count 5 days from today and keep that date as order finish and then u can see that order start date will be from today
Check this and revert

Reg: Error in scheduling of production order

Hi experts,
I have an issue during creation of production order. During production order creation, if i am giving todays date as start data and scheduling type as forwards (1) and executing it, it is showing the following error message and it is automatically taking the start date as 2 days forward date (if i am creating order on 06.02.2012 it is taking 08.02.2012).
Start date is in the past: today scheduling
Message no. C7030
Diagnosis
The start date determined in scheduling is in the past.
In customizing, you have defined the number of days that the start date is allowed to be in the past. This number is exceeded.
System Response

If my understanding is correct then I guess you are mentioning the start date as a date which is more than 2 days older(more
than 2 days in the past) and so the system is automatically switching over to today's scheduling as you might have mentioned
in OPU3 the number of days allowed in past as 2.
Check if this setting is defined as I have mentioned,if so means tiher you can only mention a date within the allowed range or
else use today's date and carryout a forward scheduling.
Check and revert back.

Daily production order scheduling

Hi Experts,
i am using maximum lot size procedure for the MRP Run and after MRP ,planned orders are generated based on the maximum lot size and these planned orders are further converted in to production orders.
my requirement is how to schedule the production order on daily basis,please suggest me an appropriate solution.

Hi,
Production orders scheduled start dates are generating for the whole month for a material as same date like first working day of the month (Here i am using maximum lot size) and the orders can be only scheduled for the particular date in order dispatching transaction.
Example,
Material : X
Maximum lot size : 1000 in MRP 1 view
PIR Qty : 01.08.2008 1000 Pcs
after MRP,
10 Planned orders are generating with schedlued start date as 01.08.2008.
after converting all the 10 planned orders in to production orders , then all the 10 production order are generated with scheduled stat date as 01.08.2008.
While dispatching the production orders in CM25, the system is showing all the work centres are overloaded on 01.08.2008, because system is considering all the production order are start date as 01.08.2008.
But i want get the production order scheduled start dates based on the capacity availability ,so please suggest me the appropriate solution.

Unable to Delete Production Orders

Hello all,
I want to change Valuation Class for a material. However, I am unable to do so as there are few Purchase orders for this material still in the system.
I have already set delete flag to these Purchase orders, removed all reservation, and cleared all the stock related to this material.
What else need to be done?
Do I need to archive these Production Orders?
Can you please guide?

Hi,
You want to change the valuation class. However, this is not possible because one or more of the following already exist for the material:
Valuated Stocks in the current period or in the previous period
Open Purchase Orders or Delivery Schedule Lines
Production Orders for which a goods movement has already taken place

What To Do:
If valuated stocks already exist, you can change the valuation class only as follows:
A) Post the stocks of the material to an interim account.
B) Change the valuation class in the material master record.
C)Post the stocks of the material back to their original account.
If open purchase orders already exist, you can only change the valuation class if you first flag the corresponding purchase order items for deletion.
If production orders exist for which a goods movement has already taken place, you can only change the valuation class if you first set the status of the production orders to Deleted.

Segregation of Production orders based on System status

Hi Experts,
I need your inputs to our requirement, We are sending Production orders to third party tool (TPT)for detailed scheduling, so Production Orders based on
Order status need to be classified and send in such way to TPT.
Requirement is
    Just REL or CRTD (No Confirmations carried out, no TECO, NO CLSD)             = OPEN
    PCNF or PDLV or GMPS (will be accompanied with REL only No CLSD, TECO) = WIP,
    CLSD or CNF, or DLV or TECO                                                                      = CLOSE
So we are fetching the list of order from database tables not using MD_Stockrequirement_List function module,
Is there any way to call BAPI and then use status profiles to classify the list of production orders we are getting now based on our logic.
or need to pass this list of Production orders to JEST table and do some coding to get this classification. But using JEST table its difficult for coding to get the requirement satisfied, because for one Production order there will be many order status as REL PCNF PDLV GMPSPRCMACM etc.
Please provide inputs.

You should use BAPI BAPI_PRODORD_GET_LIST to get a list of production orders, instead of MD_Stockrequirement_List.
Alternatively, you can use BAPI_PRODORDCONF_GETDETAIL to get the details of a production order.

Hi,
I have the problem that that our (obsolete)production-orders still appears
in the dispo-list!
Now I read, that the Controlling have to "book" the production order as
finished (or similar else).
In which transaction-code(CO) can I book orders as "finished"!

Scheduling margin key
The float before production, float after production and the relea se period are defined in the scheduling margin key (Customizing for Shop Floor Control, by choosing Operations ® Scheduling ® Define Scheduling Margin Key) . The scheduling margin key is assigned to the material ( MRP area in the material master) and is transferred when the production order is created. These values can be changed in the production order.
When is an order scheduled?
When you create a production order it is always automatically scheduled. In the scheduling parameters (Customizing for Shop Floor Control by choosing Operations ® Scheduling ® Define Scheduling Parameters) you can define that, after every change relevant to scheduling, the production order is also automatically rescheduled before saving ( Automatic scheduling indicator) .

We have a Make to order scenario where item in sales order can have mutliple scheule lines on different delviery dates.
Ex : sales order 100020 and item no 0010
has schedules with schedule line dates as
10.04.2010----1pcs
20.04.2010---1pcs
03.05.2010----1pcs
When the planned orders are converted to production orders, the 1 del date (EDATU) in the all the three production orders is the same ie the earliest delivery date (10.04.2010), even though the delviery dates are different for three as shown above.
Is there a way we can show the indivdual delivery dates on all the three production orders.
production order 1----- 1 del date as 10.04.2010
production order 2 -
1 del date as 20.04.2010
production order 3 ---1 del date as 03.05.2010

Schedule lines for an external operation in a production order

Hi All,
I have an external operation defined in a production order and a scheduling agreement is assigned to it in the Routing operation details. Now, i want to generate schedule lines when a production order created but the system always generating a purchase requisition. Do we need something to be configured in the background? Please help!
The idea is to have the goods receipt done against the same agreement always.

Hi Sravan,
As per my view point, this is standard SAP behaviour. System will generate PR only in case of external operation.
If you go to OPL8 (Order type dependent parameters) for your respective order type & plant combination you have option of maintaining setting related to PR only and there is no option of using scheduling agreement or generating schedule lines.
I don't see any possibility to use scheduling agreement using to have schedule lines for external operation.

Sales Order Schedule line not populating in the Production order

Queation: Is there a way to tell the system to look at the sales order, line item AND schedule line. It is displayed in MD04 but it doesn't carry over to the Production Order. We are a MTO and this information is relevant in a number of ways.

If you are using MTO scenario then when you run the MRP for the material, it will create a planned order for that sales order based on the dates calculated from the sales order schedule line (Shipping tab)...
So now when you convert the planned order to production order, all the sales order details will get copied.
try and revert back.

Kindly can you let me know what are the settings to be done for getting the delivery schedule line number in the production order along with the sales order and item number for a MTO scenario.

If you're working with stg. grp 20, it should do what you're looking for.
If you're not sure, do this in your sandbox -> assign the stg. grp in material master, create a SO for this material, run MRP, convert the planned order to production order & verify the results.
To know more about this stg. grp you can go thru SAP help or just do a search in this forum or maybe wait for someone to paste the links for you.

MRP-Delivery Schedule for Sales order is not updating in Production order

Dear Experts,
I have created Sales order and maintained delivery scheduling, Then Run MRP through MD50,
We received Planned order then through this we have converted to Prodcution order.
When we observe the delivery schedule for sales order under assignment Tab in Produciton order which is showing zero instead showing line item of Delivery schedule.
I am able to see Sales order and Line item but i am not abel to get any delivery schedule line item.
Please suggest where settings are missing.

I am trying to create production orders creation for own order type ex MM01, but I am getting error message as u201C scheduling parameters are not defined for the order type u201C even though I have maintained following parameters as below,
Production scheduler -
xxxxx,
Detailed scheduling -
check box of scheduling ticked,
Rough cut scheduling --- scheduling id u201301, scheduling and generate capa requi,, boxes ticked,
Adjust scheduling -- requi to operation date,
Scheduling control for detailed scheduling ---backwards and check box of auto scheduling ticked
Operation segment ---setup,
All operation in order will be reduce
Do not reduce,
Could any one light on this issue,

Hi,
This error will come if you have not maintained Define scheduling parameters for production orders.
Check this order type whether linked with respective plant in OPU3.*And give production scheduler * mark ie, all.*
And in Define production scheduling profile - OPKP, link your order type in the page below.
In material master work scheduling view, input production sch profile or prod scheduler.

One of major customization steps for the order type is missing. Run OPU3 and maintain settings for the order type you are using. You may copy settings from an older type.

Production Orders - Scheduled Finished Date Basic Finish Date

In production orders, it is being noticed scheduled finished date lies further than basic finish date, what could be the
reason? what configuration should we need to do in order to make scheduled finish date matches (or) lies before basic finish date

Basic dates of production orders can be made to match scheduled date.
Config is at OPU3. Under the "adjust scheduling" section, select either 1 or 'blank'.

Scheduling of Parallel Sequence in Routing & Production Order

Hello Friends,
I have gone through sap library & many other threads related to maintaining & scheduling of parallel sequence in Routing as well as Production Order.
For the example, I have 3 operations : 0010,0020 & 0030.
I want to maintain 0020 & 0030 as Parallel Operations ( Parallel Sequence) i.e. for both operations I have maintained same lead times so that both should start & end at same time parallely.
First of all, I have maintained all operations in standard sequence 0 all 0010,0020 & 0030 operations and also maintained tick in Required splitting check box.
Same way , I have maintained operations 0020 & 0030 in Parallel sequence with branching operation as 0020 & Return operation as 0030. Ref. sequence i have maintained as 0 (Std. Sequence).
Now when I am checking in Graphic it is not showing both operation 0020 & 0030 as parallely scheduled and hence same is not reflected in Production ORder as well.
Kindly share your valuable views reg. what may be other settings for parallel sequence which I may be missing.

I have removed Parallel sequence fully & maintained Required Overlapping for all my 3 operations : 0010,0020 & 0030
I have maintained workcenters as below :
0010 A Set up 2.0 Hrs   Machine 5.0 Hrs   Labour 1.0 Hr
0020 B Set up 2.0 Hrs   Machine 5.0 Hrs   Labour 1.0 Hr
0030 A Set up 2.0 Hrs   Machine 5.0 Hrs   Labour 1.0 Hr
I checked scheduling in routing itself same way you suggested with start date today's date & forward scheduling it gives following results :
0010 start time 07:00:00
0020 start time 07:13:42
0030 start time 09:14:39
My concern is with mainly start time of operations 0010 & 0020 since for both of these are processed on different workcenters A & B respectively then why not starting exactly on same time on 07:00:00 AM only instead another operation is starting on 07:13:42AM. I am unable to find how this difference of 13mins 42 seconds is coming.
Kindly provide your feedback. Also let me know if you need any more details.
