Scheduling Reports for Yesterday

I need some help. I have reports run automatically every morning that write or print across our network. I need every day's report to run using the previous day's data.
In the old version of Crystal Reports (8.0), I was able to type in "yesterday" as the Start Date and End Date, and the recurring reports would run with the previous days data.
Now, in BOE XI, when I schedule the reports, in the parameters field, I am forced to put in the previous days date. The problem with this is that each recurring report will run using only the data from the first day entered (all the same report). I need to know the way to schedule these to pull data from the previous day every time the report automatically re-occurs. I print about a dozen reports this way. Thanks in advance!

Would the last day of the month not work similary to the first day of the month, for scheduling ?
i.e, can't we do, "schedule=monthly_from_8am_jan31" for the last day of the month. Isn't Oracle Report Server
smart enough to do the math to calculate the last day of the moth.
I tried scheduling a report with back dating it with "schedule=monthly_from_8am_oct31". When I checked the next run date, it shows up as Nov 30th which is correct. I also tried "schedule=monthly_from_8am_sep30" and it came up with the correct next run date as Nov 30th. However I am not sure how to test the leap year logic without having to mess with the system dates.

Error while scheduling report for SAP users

Hi All,
We have SAP authentication enabled in our BO environment. (BO XI 3.1 sp2 FP 2.6 on windows 2003 server).
There are some webi reports based on BW Bex queries that we are trying to run on behalf of certain SAP end users. This we are doing using "schedule for" option.
Now what is happening here is if the end user has logged in once in BO system ,it runs fine. But in case user has not logged in to BO (using infoview etc.) ,it throws error saying "incomplete logon data" . Also if user changes or reset his password in BW and if he doesn't login to infoview after that ,system throws another error "Name or password incorrect (repeat logon)".
Based on these observation, we are suspecting if BO system uses stored SAP users credentials while scheduling report for them based on their last login.
Would like to mention here that we have checked option "automatically import users".
Please advice if this behavior is normal or we are missing some setting.

Is there a setting/option avialable in CMC which could resolve these errors.
Or, user has to login once to infoview in all circumstances to avoid these errors.

Scheduling Reports for different Responsibilities

We are using discoverer 10g with Oracle Apps 11i
Can someone share some input on the following.
If I schedule a report, can users from two different countries say US and Canada access the results and get their respective data.
By this I mean if a user has US Responsibilities he will get US data - if a user has Canadian Responsibilities he will get Canadian Data.

It is not just a question of scheduling.
The question is whether the Discoverer report is based on base tables (eg with an extension of _all) or views.
If it is based on all tables, you may need to pass the Orgid as a parameter to filter the data and schedule it for that organization.
If it is based on Views, then you will need to schedule the report from the 2 different responsibilities - US or Canada

How could be set monthly schedule report for 6 month automatically??

I have to requirment for schedule report:Means when report has been montly schedule and
user are gettiing report through email in pdf formate:But in bex query level Monthyear(selection) has set
intervals.My question is how could be set interval(6 months) so,automatically every month
report will be schudle .
Example
When Month year (Filter):201403 to 201408 (its for month August).
But when month will be come september.So,Data will be come automatically like that Month year:201404 to 201409.
So, kindly advice me ASAP.

If month August below example like that

same as above when September(not manually ,should be dynamically) come below example like that

Schedule report for the last 45 days.

BOBJ 3.1 SP 3, FP 3.3
Report is built on Universe created on Bex. we have created the Date prompts in universe using the Invoice date object.
Business Requirement is to schedule the report that will run and brings in data for the last 45 days. I have tried to do this in universe but unable to acheive it. Any ides.
One way that we want to aviod is using a user exit variable in bex.

Have you tried appliying a filter on your report using the CurrentDay function.
The only disadvantage is that you'll have to include all the data in your query, then the filter at report level will filter the data.

Unable to Burst or Schedule reports for delivery

Ok, on my BI Publisher server I have setup for email and printer bursting or running via the send button. However when users click Send and schedule a report, the time for the report to run and send comes and no report is run. I then go and check the schedule and it appears that BI Publisher has made no effort to run the reports. The reports can only be run manually and downloaded for manual printing or viewed online. Does anyone have any sugestions on resolving this issue?

Just a update, the next day our DBA discovered that there was a server connection failure half way through the Scheduler db install so there was only a partial load of the BIP tables. After this DB was re-setup, the problem was fixed.

Schedule report to run daily

Hi,
I want the Inventory Audit Report to run automatically daily (and thereby update the Last Evaluated Price).
I know the report scheduler can schedule reports for user queries, but I need this out-of-the-box B1 report to run automatically with a predefined schedule.

You can not Schedule Standard Report for Scheduling for Email.

1st time file generated good and 2nd time its asking the "already same file exist shall i replace the old file" for this what i will do any one help me.

Did you ever get this working? I am having the exact same error. I am able to explore/Map/Browse to a WebDAV location (Sharepoint) using the UNC path and it might prompt for the UN and PW the first time and would just let me access the location fine from the XIR2 server. It would also let me create a file in the UNC location.
Just like you mentioned, providing an incorrect password would clearly say "login error. CrystalEnterprise.DiskUnmanaged: Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password. " Where as providing a correct password would say "destination file error. CrystalEnterprise.DiskUnmanaged: Access is denied. ". I am going nuts over this and would really appreciate if you can share your findings... There does not seem to be any solutions out there in the internet also. Appreciate your help.

Nm-nam - Failed to generate scheduled report

I am using an nm-nam in a 3845 running v3.6(1b)and I receive this error: Failed to generate scheduled report for report Top Conversations when I try to run a scheduled report at a specific time of the day. I am using the external dns name of the mx record for the mail server. I receive a test email message but I do not receive the scheduled report.

How to display "No data for yesterday" in a scheduled report on Webi

Hi All,
In Webi, I am working on scheduling reports and was asked by a user if the scheduled report on Webi can display "No data for yesterday/no orders for yesterday" when the report returns no data due to No Orders submitted or a business holiday. This sounded a good idea to me as this report only looks for previous days orders/sales and there are many instances when the report will return blank page due to no activity the day before.
Can anyone please guide me on the possibility of achieving something like this on Webi using Bex query.
Any help will be appreciated .

Hi,
You can format the blocks in the report as "Hide When Empty" or "Hide When [some formula]" and have a blank cell added behind these blocks with a text "No Data for Yesterday"
Need to set the relative position and ordering for this accordingly.

Want to schedule WebI report for End date of Prior Month

Hello Experts,
We have WebI report created on top of Bex Query, We have key date as prompt for the report. Can we schedule the webi report for key date as last date of prior month, so if current month is February, my key date should be Jan 30 2011. I am not sure if this is possible?

You need to apply two FM to get the end day of the month.
First you need to apply FM MONTHS_PLUS_DETERMINE. This will give you the date after 3 months.
            CALL FUNCTION 'MONTH_PLUS_DETERMINE'
              EXPORTING
                MONTHS        = 3   " << for 3 months
                OLDDATE       = l_start_Date   " << 12/01/2007
             IMPORTING
               NEWDATE       = l_3_Date. " << 02/01/2008
Then call the FM RP_LAST_DAY_OF_MONTHS . this will give you the end date of the month
CALL FUNCTION 'RP_LAST_DAY_OF_MONTHS'
    EXPORTING
      day_in            = l_3_Date " << 02/01/2008
    IMPORTING
      last_day_of_month = l_3_Date " < 02/29/2008
    EXCEPTIONS
      day_in_no_date    = 1
      OTHERS            = 2.
Call both FMs again to get your another date(after 4 months).

Dynamic date parameters for a scheduled report that runs every day

I have a report that has input parameters for a start date and
end date. The report will be scheduled to run once a day at a
scheduled time. I need the report to automatically set the start
date and end dates when the report runs at the scheduled time.
When the report runs at the scheduled time, the end date needs
to be set to that time and the start date needs to be set to 24
hrs before the end date. I want the start and end dates to roll
forward automatically when the scheduled report runs each day. I
don't want any user intervention to change the start and end
dates every day. How can I do this in a report ?
Also, since the report is scheduled to run each day, I want the
output to be saved to a unique file name each time the report is
run as each day's report will report on the data only for that
day. How can I get the report to save to a unique file name
automatically each day ? Again, I don't want any user
intervention where they would set the output file name manually.

Try adding the following in the beforereport or beforepform
trigger, before the RETURN clause (TRUNC gets rid of the time
component of the date):
:p_date_from := TRUNC(sysdate) - 1;
:p_date_to := TRUNC(sysdate);
:desname := 'REPORT'||TO_CHAR(sysdate, 'DDMMYYYY')||'.txt'

Thanks for the info. The query builder o/p and the application o/p are the same. When this situation happened last time I just simply deleted those older instances from the history and left only the current one.
This has forced the query to return the only available instance, which is the current one.
My suspect here is that, the SI_ID of a new instance is smaller than the older instance...
for example,
Instance 1 - 10023
Instance 2 - 12344
Instance 3 - 9892
Is this possible?? Since I have deleted the older instances I have no way to confirm this case unless it happens again.
The BO documentation about SI_ID reads like this...
"This property is used to uniquely identify an object. The number is assigned at creation time, and is never changed until the object is destroyed. You should never hard-code this number, however, since if the object is destroyed the number may be assigned to another object. No two objects have the same ID, even if they are different types of objects; that is, you will never find a report that has the same ID as a folder."
As it claims that an ID can be re-used if the object is destoryed I assume that though the new ID will be unique there is no guarantee that it will be bigger than the previous instance of the same object.
But the problem is that I dont have a documentation proof to claim this hence asking help from the guru's here...

How to schedule one report for multiple company code?

How you can schedule reports in BW 3.5? Suppose I need to schedule one report for multiple company code, how can you do that and notify the users? I do not want to send multiple emails to the same user if the report runs for 20 times (for 20 different companies).

Scheduling WebI reports for Dynamic Prompts

Hi All,
Please find my requirement
Scenario 1:-
I am having 30 Different Process Code ( 10 –OAR; 20 – Credit USA; 40 – New Sales etc.) in our project.
Currently I am developing a single report for each “Process Code”. (Total 30 Reports – Templates and query will be 98% same except for different Process Code).
Let us assume that “End user” will not have BO Access. So all the developed reports will be scheduled and sent to the corresponding end user as BO PDF format.
Our Requirement:-
In near future, we will be getting “New Process Code” in data. So the End User wants report for “New Process Code” also.
Is there a way so that we can automate BO to pass each and every Process Code separately to existing BO report and get multiple instance BO PDF output report (One for each Process Code)?
Please give me some solution to achieve this.

Thank you for your response. Irrespective of the recipients i need to pass dynamic parameters separately to existig BO report and should get multiple BO Pdf output for all recipient.
Currently I am having only 30 values. So as of now I can pass these 30 values separately to BO WebI report and Schedule separately for 30 instances.
What if i get 2 New values (Value 1, Value 2) next week and want to view the BO Pdf reports for these 2 values separately (2 New Reports for Value 1 and Value 2 separately)?
How I can achieve these? Is it possible with publishing? If so, please explain it to me.
