Schema TM04

Hi All,
I have question regarding TM04 Schema . as i knew that it is used for Negative time evaluation by considering deveation which is entered in the infotype  2001, 2002. that is fine. if my customer wants set up time recording terminal for clock in and clock out. how do i process these entries in TM04. i heard that TM04 can also be used for Positive time evaluation.
Let me clear you more on this. we are using negive time evaluation using TM04. is it possible to read time recording termainal information(clock in/out) in this schema. if its possible. how IT 2002(attendance)infotype get updated.
Please clarifiy me on this.
Thanks,
Ashok.

Below is the information you are looking for (from help.sap.com)
Schema TM04 is a standard schema used to evaluate employee time data that is recorded as a number of hours and not using clock times.Structure
Schema TM04 is based on the following requirements and objectives:
Schema TM04 forms time balances, time wage types and time quotas. It is processed using the time evaluation report RPTIME00.
The schema imports and processes time data that has been entered online. Employee working time is recorded in the Attendances infotype (2002).
You can record only exceptions to the work schedule, or all times to be included in the working time (actual times).
Clock times are not required for evaluation of time data. Attendance/absence times must be entered as hours and not as clock-in/out times, and only these hours are evaluated in pair formation. The times specified in the daily work schedule are insignificant. Only entries in hours such as planned working hours or minimum daily working timeare evaluated. Checks are not performed against the maximum daily working time specified in the daily work schedule when planned working time and overtime are calculated.
When exceptions to the work schedule are entered, the planned working hours are generated according to the daily work schedule. Recorded absences and certain attendance times are deducted.
All recorded times are seen as working time when overtime is calculated. The following overtime rules apply:
Overtime begins after x number of hours per day
Overtime begins after y number of hours per week
Overtime begins after z number of consecutive workdays.
In schema TM04, you can store rules which refer to the payroll period. These payroll periods can be different for different employees, and do not have to correspond to the time evaluation period.

  • Want to know the difference among the sap standard schemas TM00/TM01/TM04

    hi, experts
i have read the standard courses HR310 and HR311,but i am still confused about the difference among the three standard TM schemas TM00,TM01 and TM04.
i only learn from the book about it as follows:
TM00: Time evaluation with time events
TM01: Time evaluation for work schedule deviations
TM04: Time evaluation for times entered as hours.
i want to know the details about different forms of time data and different strategies in evaluating the time data in the three standard schemas.
       thanks in advance

    Hi,
TM01: read the actual data, Automatically calculate the overtime with the help of events.
TM04: Negative time evaluation, Get the data from the Work schedules
TM01: Positive/Negative time evaluation: Read the exception of workschedules, get the data from the time events form the 2011IT.
    TM01:
Schema TM01 can be used for time evaluation if you only record
exceptions to the work schedule, and not all times that count as working
    time (actual times).
You can use schema TM01 to import and process time data that has been
    recorded online.
The schema forms time balances, time wage types, and time quotas, and is
processed using the time evaluation driver, RPTIME00.
The valuation basis for time evaluation forms a planned pair, which is
generated according to the planned specifications in the employee's
    personal work schedule.
The planned pairs generally correspond to the time worked. Only
attendances from infotype 2002 and absences from infotype 2001 result in
a difference between planned and actual.
Schema TM01 automatically generates overtime for all attendance times
recorded over and above the planned specifications in the personal work
schedule. If overtime is recorded in infotype 2005, it can be approved
systematically taking account of overtime breaks.
    TM00:
Schema TM00 processes time events that have been recorded at a time
recording terminal, or the time pairs formed from the time events in
pair formation. Attendances and absences are also imported.
Schema TM00 is based on positive recording of time data, that is,
recording all times that count as working time (actual times).
Schema TM00 only evaluates time data with clock times (or full-day
records). The main task of schema TM00 is to classify the actual times
by comparing them to the planned specifications in the daily work
schedule (start and end of planned working time, core times, breaks, and
    so on).
    TM04:
The time worked by the employee is recorded in the Attendances infotype
(2002), and not as clock-in and clock-out times. When processing
clock-in/out times, the emphasis is on the length of time between the
postings and not on the times at which the postings were made.
You can use schema TM04 to process attendances and absences that specify
a number of hours only, rather than concrete start and end times.
The times stipulated in the daily work schedule are not relevant. Only
specifications such as planned hours and minimum daily working time are
evaluated from the daily work schedule.
TM04 caters both for negative time recording (recording of exceptions to
the work schedule) and positive time recording (recording all
    attendances or actual times).
If negative recording is used, the planned hours are generated on the
basis of the daily work schedule. Recorded absences and some attendance
times are deducted (see schema TP01.)
The "Time Management status" indicator in the Planned Working Time
infotype (0007) shows whether all actual times are recorded for an
employee, or only exceptions to the planned specifications.

  • TM Schema - Is it possible to change IT2001/2 from a Rule?

    Hello gurus,
    here the TM scenario is:
    - CATS via ESS for Time Recording;
    - The employee enters the <b>actual</b> Clock-In / Clock-Out manually & releases;
    - The Manager approves and Time data arrives to HR (IT2001/2002).
I am using a copy of the Schema TM04 and, after I rounded my TIP pairs, I would need to Update the IT2001/2002 with the new rounded times.
Is it possible to write into the IT2001/2002?
If not, do you have any ideas about how to have in IT2001/2002 the rounded values only?
Every help would be very appreciated,
    Sofia

    Hi,
you always have a static class Application.
Application.application will be the root component. After that you can change it state.
    Application.application.currentState = "state2";
But it's not the best way to change states. It's better to dispatch events from components and change states in listeners.

  • Time Evaluation Schemas

    Hi All
Please suggest me regarding Time Evaluation Schemas.
We have schemas like TQTA, TM04, TM00 Etc. when we use PT60.
What are the different uses of these schemas & what are the situations when we need to use these schemas.
Which schema to use when & where?
    Please Suggest
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi,
TQTA: Generate Absence Quotas only, wtih this schema, we can update the IT2006. Time managemetn status is 7.
TM04: Time Evaluation Without Clock Times, Time managemetn status is 9 or 1 in 0007IT
TM00:Time Evaluation with Personnel Time Events/with clock times. Time managemetn status is 1 in 0007.
For both TM04, TM00 schemas we are using the one T,code that is PT60. THis PT60 t.code create through RPTIME00 program.
Schema TM00 processes time events that have been recorded at a time
recording terminal, or the time pairs formed from the time events in
pair formation. Attendances and absences are also imported.
Schema TM00 is based on positive recording of time data, that is,
recording all times that count as working time (actual times).
Schema TM00 only evaluates time data with clock times (or full-day
records). The main task of schema TM00 is to classify the actual times
by comparing them to the planned specifications in the daily work
schedule (start and end of planned working time, core times, breaks, and
    so on).
You can use schema TQTA to accrue absence quotas automatically in time
evaluation. The functionality is limited to the task of generating
quotas, that is, time balances or time wage types are not formed.
The schema is designed for employees who do not normally participate in
the daily time evaluation for the purposes of managing time accounts or
forming wage types. Using schema TQTA to determine absence entitlements
    has the following advantages:
o   Quotas can be recalculated flexibly.
o   The need for a recalculation is recognized automatically.
o   Processing is carried out for every day in the period, leaving no
        gaps.
We have schemas like TQTA, TM04, TM00 Etc. when we use PT60.

    Hi all,
i had a doubt about time schemas thought of asking to u.there r 2 schemas for negative TM01 and TM04 what is the differance between them if there is one schema TM04 then why SAP has made a second schema what is the differance betn both of them ?
another is how to take no of hrs  of a attendance type into some time type please explain this.
    Thanks ,
    Sunil.

    Hi Sunil,
TM01 is only for Negetive time management...means if there are any deviations.
TM04 is for both negative and positive time management.
For Ex : In any company if we have requirement of Positive and Negetivee time management then we can use Schema TM04...
Means for some employees if it is Positive and Negetive then we use TM04....
I think it will be use ful for U...

    Hi All,
I am trying to generate annual leave quota, and i have configured all the nodes pertaining to it. Like generation rule for quota rule selection and  base entitlements etc.
While running the TM04 from pt60(RPTIME00), ia m getting the error in QUOTA function, the error is "error no. 82". I am not sure how to rectify this error, any help on this would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Ravi

    Hi Naveen,
I tried checking personnel sub area groupings, seems all are fine. I checked the generation rules as well, but i could not get any clue for misbehavior.
I am using RPTIME00 for getting the annual leave quota(using QUOTA function in the schema TM04). I am seeing the QTBASE tables getting updated properly, but the table ABQNTI is not getting updated. There only i am observing the error called "entry error no. 82". Can you suggest anything which might have caused the problem. I will try your suggestions.

  • Negative time evaluation and IT0007

    Hello Experts,
i have this condition in a PCR, where an employee with time management "1" (positive time evaluation) gets transportation allowance on attendance type days like "business meetings out of office" and "trainings", but this is done according to employee-specific indicator in IT0050. (It depends if he takes a bus (no transportation allowance) *or* transportation is generated per working day + attendance days)
I need to know if an employee with time management status "9" (negative time evaluation) how can i maintain the PCR to read according to the Indicator field in IT0050???  (N: employee doesn't take a bus, Y: employee takes a bus i.e no transportation allowance generated)
    i.e:
    matrix decision tree.
    1. does the employee have 9?
1.1 what does he have in IT0050
    1.1.1 he has Y
    1.1.2 he has N.....etc
1.1.2.1 does he have an attendance type?
    1.1.2.1.1 Yes
    1.1.2.1.2 No
    2. does the employee have 1?
2.1 what does he have in IT0050
    2.1.1 he has Y
    2.1.2 he has N.....etc
2.1.2.1 does he have an attendance type?
What is the operation to identify the "time management status" if +ve or -ve ??
what is the operation to identify what do we have in IT0050 as an indicator??

Basically i havent even entered the OT and it is paying based on the work schedule. The requirement is that it shouldnt pay that 1 break hour as OT. But if i enter any OT in that hour then it should pay it. We are using negative time eval and copy of schema TM04. We only record exceptions. Please help

  • Customising error in work schedule rule

    Hi All,
While running the TM schema TM04, i am getting "customising error in work schedule rule".
I could successfully generate work schedule with the same work schedule rule for the period 01-2006 to 01-2008.
I have configured all the nodes under work schedule. I have maintained payroll control record with retro accounting date as 01-2006 and the payroll date as 02-2006(i.e i released the payroll for run, so period got incremented).
In 0003, i have given TM status as 9.
I want to know if i missed anything in configuration. Can you please help me in this regard.
    Thanks,
    Ravi

    Hi Ravi,
You can also maintain the feature TIMMO.. the return value of this feature is Country Grouping..
You need to select the relevant country grouping and give the same as return value and activate the feature.

Hi i hope before you run PT60 you have copied schema TM04 to you customised one and in IT 0007 hope its 9 and  permite quota generation without TE is in INCREASE .
If So then in IT 2013 select the Leave type and give the end date of the year and change the number it will work.
I hope you have to write a PCR for carryforward as per my knowledge.
    However wait for expert ans

  • Generate Separate New Time Pair (not split)

    Hi All-
    US SAP_HCm 4.7
I am trying to generate a separate time pair (in schema TM04) for overtime (M), while keeping the planned working time (S) time pair untouched. I am basically trying to make a copy of a time pair (i.e. hours) except for changing the processing type (S to M).
    Example:
    TIP Table - IN
    0800-1400 --- 8 hours -
    (S) Planned Working Time Pair
    Operation in Time
Some Clever idea ... or concept
    TIP Table- OUT
    0800-1400 --- 8 hours -
    (S) Planned Working Time Pair
    0800-1400 --- 8 hours -
    (M) Overtime Time Pair
I have tried using the operation GENTG in a PCR .. but it seems very limited. Is there any SAP Time gurus out there with a clever idea?
    Any help is much appreciated.
    Thanks
    B-

I can generate time types but the problem is that time type will be a generic time type and will be applicable to all absence classes with operation VARST or OUTTP.  Until I have a time pair on a non working day and if that time pair is generated then it can be read using RTIPA OR PTIPA variables.
Otherise for every absence type it will generate 8 hours but I want 8 hours to be generated wtih PL and CL only.  If i give LOP or LWP then also system is generating 8 hours time type which is wrong.  So until I generate a time type for the off day i cannot read 2001 or TIME PAIR TABLE.
    Kindly guide.
