Schemas used in TM,PA & OM
HI Expert,
Can you please provide the standard schemas using in TM,PA & OM
Thanks in advance
ANISH
Hi,
We have not used schemas in OM and PA.
We used in Payroll and Time.
Payroll schemas are vary country to country like for India-IN00, US-U000,Singapore-R000.
Time wise we have five schemas:
TM00,- Positive time evaluation/Time Evaluation with Personnel Time Events
TM04,- Negative Time evaluation/4 Time Evaluation Without Clock times
TM01,- Time Evaluation for Work Schedule Deviations
TM02,- Time Evaluation for External Services Management
TQTA- For generate the absence quotas
If you want see the all schemas go for "PE01" t.code
Good luck

How to change the password of a schema using Oracle SQL Developer
Hi need to change the password of a schema using Oracle SQL Developer how do i do it?
Hi
alter user username identified by password -
I have a csv file that I need to generate a schema for. I am trying to generate a schema using flat file schema wizard but I keep getting "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." error when I am clicking on the Next button after
specifying properties of the child elements on the wizard. At the end I get schema file generated but it contains an empty root record with no child elements.
I thought may be this is because I didn't have my project checked out from the Visual SourceSafe db first but I tried again with the project checked out and got the same error.
I also tried creating a brand new project and generating a schema for it but got the same error.
I am not sure what is causing Null Reference exception to be thrown and there is nothing in the Windows event log that would tell me more about the problem.
I am using Visual Studio 2008 for my BizTalk development.
I would appreciate if some has any insides on this issue.Hi,
To test your environment, create a new BizTalk project outside of source control.
Create a simple csv file on the file system.
Name,City,State
Bob,New York,NY
Use the Flat file schema Wizard to create the flat file schema from your simple csv instance.
Validate the schema.
Test the schema using your csv instance.
This will help you determine if everything is ok with you environment.
Thanks,

To validate with a SAXParser use the xerces SAXParser.

Error with creating star schema using HsvStarSchemaACM
Hi,
I am trying to create a star schema using the API HsvStarSchemaACM. But when calling the create function of API, i get the below exception. Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040251 (A general error occurred while trying to obtain a database Reader/Writer lock). Is this something to do with the parameters passed and its connections(connection works fine and createstarschema is running thru workspace).
Any solutions to this is more welcome.
Thanks,
LoguCan you provide details on HsvStarSchemaACM API? How is it related to ODI?

How do you join two tables from different Oracle schemas using a subquery
I am trying to join two tables from different Oracle schemas using a subquery. I can extract data from each of the tables without a problem. However, when I combine the select statements using a subquery I get the Oracle error *'ORA-00936: missing expression'*. Since each SELECT statement executes on its own without error I don't understand what is missing. The result set I am trying to get is to match up the LINE_ID from PDTABLE_12_1 in schema DD_12809 with the MAT_DESCRIPTION from table PDTABLE_201 in schema RA_12809.
The query is as follows:
sql = "SELECT [DD_12809].[PDTABLE_12_1].LINE_ID FROM [DD_12809].[PDTABLE_12_1] JOIN " _
+ "(SELECT [RA_12809].[PDTABLE_201].MAT_DESCRIPTION " _
+ "FROM [RA_12809].[PDTABLE_201]) AS FAB " _
+ "ON [DD_12809].[PDTABLE_12_1].PIPING_MATER_CLASS = FAB.PIPING_MATER_CLASS"
The format of the query is copied from a SQL programming manual.
I also tried executing the query using a straight JOIN on the two tables but got the same results. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks!
Edited by: user11338343 on Oct 19, 2009 6:55 AMI believe you are receiving the error because you are trying to JOIN on a column that doesn't exist. For example you are trying to join on FAB.PIPING_MATER_CLASS but that column does not exist in the subquery.
If you want to do a straight join without a subquery you could do the following
SELECT DD_12809.PDTABLE_12_1.LINE_ID
, FAB.MAT_DESCRIPTION
FROM DD_12809.PDTABLE_12_1
JOIN RA_12809.PDTABLE_201 AS FAB ON DD_12809.PDTABLE_12_1.PIPING_MATER_CLASS = FAB.PIPING_MATER_CLASS HTH! -

Validating XML against an XML Schema using PL/SQL
Hello everyone,
I've a strange problem.
I'm trying to validate an XMLTYPE variable against an XSD schema using the XMLisValid function.
The XML I was trying to validate was returning false (0) when using this method.
However, when I register the XSD against a column in a table and then insert this XMLTYPE into that column, I do not get any errors. If I change the XSD to ensure failure when using this method, I do get an error, so it is registered and working.
I have then created a very basic XSD and both methods work when validating the XML against this. So obviously the more complicated XSD I want to validate against is making a difference, but I would expect them to either both fail or both pass, not one fail and one pass.
Does anyone know why they'd be returning different results?
Thanks in advance for your help.

A similar problem occur to me once.
In that case it was that I copied the files from:
JWSDP_HOME\jaxb\lib
to
JAVA_HOME\jre\lib\endorsed
when I shouldnt.
I should take the files only from JWSDP_HOME\jwsdp-sahred\lib\endorsed
So try taking the files:
jaxb-api.jar
jaxb-impl.jar
jaxb-xjc.jar
jaxb-libs.jar
out of the JAVA_HOME\jre\lib\endorsed directory living them only in jaxb\lib where they should be.
Try that, and lets see if the compilation improves. -

Table name issue accessing OATS schema using OBIEE
We are attempting to integrate OATS 12.1 with OBIEE 11g for reporting purposes and encounter the following error when using the BI Administration tool to update a row count of a physical table or query using the Analysis tool against our target OATS schema. For example:
There was an error while updating row count for
"OTM.atg.com".."OTM"."View_Tests":
[nQSError: 17011] SQL statement execution failed.
[nQSError: 17001] Oracle Error code: 942, message: ORA-00942:
table or view does not exist
at OCI call OCIStmtExecute: select count(*) from
OTM.View_Tests
I tried this out with other tables such as "TO_TestCase"
The reason for this error seems to be that our target schema contains tables that have quotes in the name when the table was created, which I understands enforces the preservation of letter case-- i.e. "Mixed_Case" names. Since this is not "our own" application, we don't really have any control over how the schema is created or the table/views named. Interestingly enough, the table appears in the BI Administration with the expected table columns, but the querying for row count and data fails.
One way we've worked around this is to manually create a VIEW of the table of interest in the target schema using all capitals. This works, but seems unnecessarily messy, especially if we are interested in using a VIEW that is already created as part of the schema.
I also found the following various discussions about setting the NQSConfig.ini file on line, but changing the value and restarting the OBIEE server doesn't seem to make a difference.
# Case sensitivity should be set to match the remote
# target database.
CASE_SENSITIVE_CHARACTER_COMPARISON = ON;
Are there other ways to get OBIEE to recognize mixed-case table names?
Thanks!Bad day for good code. Have yet to spot any posted today... Sadly, yours is just another ugly hack.
The appropriate method for using SQL*Plus substitution variables (in an automated fashion), is as command line parameters. Not as static/global variables defined by some other script ran prior.
So if a script is, for example, to create a schema, it should look something as follows:
-- usage: create-schema.sql <schema_name>
set verify off
set define on
create user &1 identified by .. default tablespace .. quota ... ;
grant ... to &1;
--eof
If script 1 wants to call it direct then:
-- script 1
@create-schema SCOTT
If script 2 want to call it using an existing variable:
-- script 2
@create-schema &SCHEMA
Please - when hacking in this fashion, make an attempt to understand why the hack is needed and how it works. (and yes, the majority of SQL*Plus scripts fall into the CLI hack category). There's nothing simple, beautiful, or elegant about SQL*Plus scripts and their mainframe roots. -
