School Sync settings with MacBooks

The Tech Administrator at our school and myself have discovered a hole in the syncing procces. For example I am a student and my computer syncs every week or so. I am also a tech aid and teach a Tech class. So I look through the settings and programs very often. Every once and a while I will notice that programs like AppleScript and Terminal are avalible for use when no one but the tech administrator should be aloud to use them. So if anyone knows of a way to fix the whole in the sync settings it will be appriciated.

All apps are forever tied to the Apple ID used to originally obtain them. They cannot be transferred to another Apple ID, nor can they be updated using any ID other than the ID used to originally obtain them.

Photoshop CC 2014.2.1 can't sync settings with Creative Cloud

Good day,
Photoshop CC 2014.2.1 can't sync settings with Creative Cloud for some reason. I'm signed in, no firewalls, the router is fine. Other apps, Premiere Pro for example, sync without issues.
Photoshop keeps saying "Connecting to Creative Cloud..." with uploads starting, but nothing is happening. I've left it in this state for an hour just in case. Is there a workaround or a fix?

For what it's worth I have access to a second computer with the correct sync settings (which I synced to the Cloud, so the Cloud should now have my desired sync settings), but PS on my first computer still refuses to show anyway to apply these settings.
I'm downloading the 2014 release now but it shouldn't really be necessary. This is so frustrating, especially when the Adobe PS sync help page only applies to the 2014 release (I can't find any sync help for the previous versions anymore).

Sync settings with Creative Cloud

Sooo .... I drank the cool aid and subscribed to CC - If anything just to look at how it works and how it helps ME.
I have been a PS user since 2006 and while I'm not a professional artist I am a very keen photographer. Additionally, I can still pull out and the first year trial is relatively affordable for a CS6 user.
My question is this:
Once I signed up I reloaded CS6 from the CC product options. I then checked for updates and it reloaded some updates. So how do I know I have the CC version? The System Info states that I have Adobe Photoshop Version: 13.1.2 (13.1.2 20130105.r.224 2013/01/05:23:00:00) x64.
The reason I ask is that I saw an interesting blog item on syncing settings with the CC Cloud. When I checked my CS6 menu, I did not have the Sync option. I am thinking that this may not be the correct way to update my in-place installed version of CS6 to the more current version of CC CS6.
Any help appreciated.

ITunes sync prob with macbook pro & iphone4s

I can't get my iTunes on Macbook pro to transfer or sync tunes with my iphone4s. It only transfers the other way from phone to MBpro. If I click on sync, it spins the symbol but nothing happens. It can only "share" when physically connected.

I found iTunes version 10.6.3! Solved... for now.

OneDrive Sync Settings with Domain Account Roaming Profile

This question seems to have been asked in various manners online including here at TechNet but it has never actually been answered that I can find.
Home domain using Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials, client is Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit with Update 1. Logged in as a domain user account with a Roaming Profile and Folder Redirection connected to a Microsoft Account.
Under PC Settings > OneDrive > Sync Settings, everything is greyed out and disabled. I wasn't too bothered about it previously however with Windows Phone 8.1 out now it means that I cannot use Tab Sync with Internet Explorer 11 on the phone.
I have a GPO which excludes the following folders from the Roaming Profile to both allow Folder Redirection to function and also to allow the OneDrive app to function: "Downloads;Pictures;My Pictures;Music;My Music;Videos;My Videos;Dropbox;SkyDrive;OneDrive"
I am using the Primary Computer attribute with a second GPO which limits profile redirection to the users primary computer.
When logging on to my Primary Computer with the Roaming Profile activated, all of the Sync Settings are disabled but on another machine which is non-primary and therefore my roaming profile does not sync, I can connect my Microsoft Account to the local
profile generated on this machine and all of the Sync Settings are available, clearly linked to the Roaming element of the profile.
Is the non-functionality of Sync Settings on domain accounts with Roaming Profiles by design or by virtue of the fact that things are trying to steer away from Roaming Profiles now? I love the Sync features but in that they don't sync everything (3rd party
Application Settings for example) there is a need for both features to exist in parallel.
There is a new section in Group Policy to limit the use of the Sync Settings features for Enterprises which wish to prevent users from using these features so I don't understand the reason for it to not function at all for anyone.

Photos in iphone 4s photo stream not sync all with macbook air in iCloud

why the photos in my iphone photo stream not sync all to macbook via icloud? Its like when i have 20 photos in iphone photo stream, then only 15 photos sync to macbook. Under one apple ID, do not understand why is that. Is anybody else have the same issue or anyone can help out?

Exactly what suggestions have you followed and what was the result?
First, be sure that you are logged into the same iCloud account on both devices.

Can I sync settings with multiple accounts?

I just got Creative Cloud for Teams at work, and I have to sign in to it using my work email address. If I ever leave this job and get CC for myself, or I start at another company, I won't have access to that account any more, nor will I have access to my old work computer. How can I carry over to a new account all my settings from the CC apps that support Sync Settings?

The short answer I received from Adobe was to log in at home using my work account info, open the programs, then log out and back in with my home credentials and save my settings. I was a little worried that would be a violation of some policy, they they assured me it was not, at least in my case. Here's the script:

Sync issue with MacBook

Hi,
I have a MacBook and an iPhone 3G, I have just noticed I can not sync due to my account being in the red, ok I know I owe money but payday is next Friday so you can wait. But I still want to Sync my iPhone to my MacBook.
This doesn't cost anything so why am I being penalized for simple basic operations that I should be able to do when ever I like?
Also I can not get updates to already purchased applications and games, this is way not fair.
I see this as a denial of service for something trivial like syncing and updating which are basic standard features of the iPhone and MacBook.
I'm just wondering how far you'll go with this? Will the next firmware upgrade completely stop the phone from being used at all?

I have never been in the red with my iTunes store account since I use a credit card for an iTunes store purchase, so I wasn't aware that being in the red with an iTunes store account (not sure how that can happen away) prevents syncing an iPod or iPhone with iTunes. Downloading a free app is considered a purchase for accounting reasons - you are sent a receipt as with a paid app.

Question: best path to sync iPhone with MacBook (Entourage or Mail)

Have been putting this off for some time. I have an iPhone that I used to sync with my WinXP laptop. I replaced the laptop with a new MacBook Pro and need to do (2) things:
1.) Migrate my contacts over to the MacBook
2.) Determine my long-term contact/calendar/etc. sync plan
1.) Migrate: are there any good tips/threads out there for how to do this? Since my iPhone is the only place these reside currently and iTunes wants to bi-directional sync when I first connect... I'm nervous about this! What's the best way to make sure I can successfully get my contacts onto my Mac from the iPhone without losing them?
2.) Syncing: I'm currently using Entourage:Mac 2008. I've read thread after thread about problems syncing between iPhone and Entourage... I understand it to be primarily because of reliance on Address Book and iCal as intermediaries, correct? I wish I could say I could switch to those but the integration of Entourage with calendar, contacts, tasks, etc. is just too useful for my work.
So - any suggestions, pointers, even added utilities, that will help me set this up to work reliably would be much appreciated.
Also - one thought has been to use Google Apps to sync mail, contacts, and calendar. However, I'm not a fan of how GMail accepts every email address as a contact...
At any rate, I'm looking for pointers on any of these fronts. Any guidance would be great!

I suggest using Apple's Address Book application for storing contact information. If you decide to use Entourage for email account access, contact information, and calendar events, Entourage syncs with Apple's Address Book application and with iCal for contact information and calendar events which syncs with the iPhone.
Before syncing, enter one contact in the Address Book application and one calendar event in iCal. Make these up if needed which can be deleted later. This should provide a merge prompt which you want to select. This will transfer all contact information and calendar events from your iPhone to the Address Book and iCal.
2.) Syncing: I'm currently using Entourage:Mac 2008. I've read thread after thread about problems syncing between iPhone and Entourage... I understand it to be primarily because of reliance on Address Book and iCal as intermediaries, correct? There can be problems with this, which relies on a sync services feature included with Entourage that syncs Entourage contact information and calendar events with the Address Book and iCal, which are used for syncing with your iPhone. So there is an additional step and sync function when using Entourage.
If you haven't transferred your iTunes library from your PC to your Mac, you should do so. iTunes includes an option to transfer content that was purchased from the iTunes Store from an iPod or iPhone, but this is for content that was purchased from the iTunes Store only. Before syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPhone.
For all other iTunes content on your PC that was not purchased from the iTunes Store, you need to transfer this content from your PC to your Mac.

Iphone can't sync contacts with Macbook air trough itunes

open itunes and then on the lift click on the device you want to sync, and then in that screen click sync.
there will also be options on the bottom of the device page where it says sync this device when connected to itunes or some variation of that. click yes if you'd like your mac to do so!

BB Curve 8330 not sync-ing with MacBook or PC

When you connect to your Mac does the battery charging indicator appear?
Do you have a media card in your BlackBerry? If so, when you connect to your Mac do you see the media card show up as a removable disk drive?
Have you tried more than one USB port?
Do you have another sync program installed, such as Pocket Mac?
Do you have another user account on your Mac? If so, is this user account able to connect to the Desktop Software?

Mail syncing settings with iCloud without my permission?

I noticed that in ~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData there is a file called SyncedFilesInfo.plist which specifies that rules, smart mail boxes and signatures are to be synced via iCloud. I don't remember telling Mail to do that so.. what gives?
