SCM Certification - Any experiece to share?

Hi,
I am planning to appear for my SCM Certification Exam focussed on Logistics Execution including Shipping/Transportation. Exam code is C_TSCM66_05.
I am wondering if anyone else has appeared for this exam or any other certification exam? Please share your experience regarding the exam such as:
1. Complexity - Training Material Qtns or Real Life Scenarios?
2. Time Crunch - Enough time available?
3. Type of Questions? About SCM theory or about configuration?
4. Way to go about preparing for the exam. Is training material sufficient? What to focus on while reading the material? SCM Concepts or transactions used for performing a task?
Please answer these questions within the allowed scope of information disclosure. I want to get familiar with the objective of the exam and plan my preparation accordingly.
Please advise,
Thanks,
Rohit.

  • SCM Certification

    Hi ,
I would like to take up SCM Certification. However, I am not sure how to start preparing for the process. Could you please guide me with this ?
    Which books to reference ?
Which sites help in the process ?
Which areas to concentrate on ?
Are there any test sites which help in the process ?
Thanks in advance for your help !
    Regards,
    Ranjini.

    Hi Rajini,
For certification, you need to be thorough with the SAP course material for DP, SNP, PPDS and CIF. It used to be just Dp, SNP and CIF but I think SAP blew this out of proportion by adding PPDS to it.
Please don't ask me how to get the material. You can try your own sources or take those expensive training classes. Please search for courses and exams in the above link that I provided.
If you are planning to take the training classes, I suggest you have an understanding of each component and then go to the class or else you can end up thinking that you understood things there and forget them in days.
I think the secret is to be though with the questions at the end of each chapter in SAP's recent material. They repeat most of the times int he exam.
This forum is an excellent source of knowledge and when I took my certification, I learned only 30% from the books and about 30-40 percent from this forum.
Apart from these, you can try other good book that you can find when you search this forum with the keyword "certification" but really for SAP APO certification, all you need to read is the SAP MATERIAL. That's it... To be able to work is a totally different ball game. I think there is a lot of gap between being certified in APO and being able to work in APO.
Try searching for certification related posts and you will find plenty of them here...I suggest you read through them before asking more questions because I am sure there were so many posts related to certification and they answer almost every question..
If you still have questions, come back here and ask we will be happy to answer.
    Good luck.

  • SCM certification Questions?

    Hi,
In the SCM certification exam can we get some questions like....
What is the transaction code to configure the company?
    Here the answer is OX15.
But do we need to actually learn the configuration transaction codes or the knowledge of the navigation path helps(Will do)?
    IMG->Enterprise Structure->Definition-> Financial Accounting-> Define Company.
I understand that we memorize a lot of TCODES like ME22n for PO etc......while working on them.....
but I am not sure if we got to memorize the configuration tcodes too...
Can someone please let me know if this kinda questions will be asked?
I am sorry...I couldn't find information on the certification Questions pattern online...
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Hi
The book SAP MM - Functionality and technical configuration - By Martin Murray is a basic source it can not be your on source to do the test.
The academy books (TSCM50 and TSCM52) have several questions similar to the test.
    Here some examples:
    - Delivery schedule lines can be stored in every purchasing document. True or False
    - Which are the Organizational Levels that you can define Service Master Conditions? Company code, plant...?
    - Which of the following ways of handling cash discount are possible?
    - Which indicator must be set in the source list for a source of supply in order for this source to
be taken into account in requirements planning?
I don't think that you need to memorize the customizing t code but you need to know what you can do on customizing.
Take a look on competency areas covered in the test. Be sure that you covered eveything because every point is important. I saw some people failing because never study or saw solution manager.
    good luck!

  • DD got new laptop(Windows 8). I would like for her to have her own iTunes account.  However she has been syncing her iPod to my account for 2years and has an abundance of music/movies that we don't want to buy again.  Any way to share them to her new PC?

My daughter got a new laptop for Christmas (windows 8).  I would like to set up her own iTunes account on her laptop.  Our dilema is she has been syncing her iPod to my account for 2 years now, therefore, she has an abundance of music (purchased through iTunes store) and movies (downloaded via digital download from DVD/BluRay purchases) that we don't want to have to purchase all over again.  Is there any way to share some/all of my account with her so she can sync her iPod to her laptop in the future?
I have been reading about Home Sharing but I am not sure this is the approach I am after.  Will home sharing work to allow her to alter and change the content on her PC without changing/altering it on mine?  Will it allow her to sync her iPod with her PC?
I suppose I should also add that we are currently running 2 iPod touches, 2 iPads and an iPhone from my apple ID.  I am not even sure if I would be able to add her PC as a device for home sharing if that is an option for us.
Any and all guidance is greatly appreciated.

  • Is there any way to share my Mac's internet connection with my iPod as I can't turn on the wifi on my iPod?!

When I restored and updated to IOS 6.1.3, my wifi on my iPod Touch 4th Gen greyed out and I can no longer use it.
Is there any way to share the connection of my mac using the USB cable or Bluetooth?
    Thanks,

How did you try to contact them? In any case, an Apple Store is the best way to handle any problems with an iPhone when you have a store in your area. The Apple Store will certainly be able to handle the problem one way or another. Most likely they'll just replace the iPhone, though if you're out of warranty the replacement will not be free.

  • I keep getting this error message when trying any of the SHARE functions.

I seem to get the following message whenever I select any of the share destinations for my project.  I am wanting to upload my finished project to youtube, bit I don't know what this error code meand or how to correct it.  Help!
The operation could not be completed because an error occurred when creating frame 867 (error -1).
I am keen you upload this 2 min. film ASAP, but of course I can't due to this error and not knowing how to fix it.  This error appears soon after it attempts the share process.  All help gladly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your great suggestions.    I have tried all that you suggested, but no joy.  But what did the trick was actually dropping the format from 1080 to 720.  Then doing a master file.  Quitting and restarting FCP and flicking the project back  to 1080p and sharing it again.  Low and behold it worked and not an error message was seen.  That is some kind of bug.  So I am sorted and can now export the 1080p project in 1080p or whatever.  I have no idea what went on, but it is now working.  I hope my fluke of a tip helps someone who is at their wits end like I was.  LOL  Thanks again for your replies.

  • Any way to share idvd project with itunes?

    hi everyone,
I needed to know if there is any way to share an idvd project with itunes, in the same way that you can an imovie project with chapters and themes etc and then ideally to play it on your ipod as you would on a dvd player, selecting chapters etc.
    Would much appreciate any comments.

Well, there are two solutions to your problem:
    - convert your movies to DVD. Advantages: better quality, menus, chapters.
    - do the movies for iPod, but break them in smaller pieces, so you can jump to the next scene when needed. Advantage: smaller size, can be used on iPod.
Another possible solution is presented here: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=791841. I'm not sure it will work, and I'll appreciate if you will try and let us know the results (I don't have a video iPod myself).
later edit: Sorry, I was wrong: HandBrake CAN decrypt commercial DVDs. It's a beautiful free tool.

  • SCM Certification Logo

    Hi,
I have completed all the three exams in Oracle 11i SCM path recently. I know that it will take 6-8 weeks to get my success kit. What my question is " Before i receive the kit can i use OCP logo on my resume and forward that to the companies"?Please advise.
    Thank You,
    Ashok

I did as you suggested - I sent the following email to [email protected]:
    Greetings -
I completed and passed both 1z0-040 and 1z0-046 on 2/12/08. My prometric ID is xxxxxxxxx and the test registration numbers are:XXXXXX#### and XXXXXX###X respectively. I am hoping you can email me username/password for accessing the 10g OCP and 'Linux expert' logo's, as I am currently in the job market now, and hope to be gainfully employeed by the time the welcome kit arrives.
    Thanks
    And here is their response:
    Dear D-,
You should wait until Prometric sends your OCP Success kits which will include OCP Members site Login name & Password to download the OCP Logo.
You should wait for 6-8 weeks after the completion of all certification requirements have been met to receive your success kits. If you do not receive your certificate within 6-8 weeks, visit the Prometric web site at https://www.register.prometric.com/Login.asp to update your demographic information. Select the "Update Personal Information" link in the left navigation bar and follow the steps to log into your profile.
After updating your address at Prometric web site, you can request an order for reshipment by sending an email to [email protected]. Kindly request for shipment only after updating your address at Prometric web site.
We would request you to update your address in the database. The certificate would be mailed to the address mentioned in the database. If Prometric and Oracle do not have your current mailing and email address, you may not receive your certification certificate in a timely manner.
Visit the Prometric web site at https://www.register.prometric.com/Login.asp to update your demographic information. Select the "Update Personal Information" link in the left navigation bar and follow the steps to log into your profile.
Updating your profile on http://ibt.prometric.com/oracle will NOT update your demographic information. Candidates must enter their current information on https://www.register.prometric.com/Login.asp for their contact information to be updated.
    Regards,
    OCP Team
I am not sure those who monitor that email address are enabled to do any more than cut-n-paste.
So, just a curious question. Your userid (user561312) indicates you registered 2/27/07, yet you sign all posts as 'Certification Forum Moderator'
This indicates to me, this is a self-appointed title...

  • Any way to share MacBook Air's external SuperDrive with PC?

Not really sure if this is the right spot to put this question but I couldn't really think of a better one. Here's my problem: I've got a PC which I need to run the backup disc creator on. Unfortunately, the optical drive on my PC doesn't work. My question is whether or not it's possible to share my MacBook Air's SuperDrive through my wifi connection. I know it's possible to utilize a PC's optical drive on a computer running OS X but does it work the other way around? Any answers would be greatly appreciated

System Preferences / Sharing, then check CD/DVD sharing. If you want to share files, check that area too, then—under Options—also check SMB protocol.

  • BICC Dashboards - Any examples to share?

A frequent request I get when conducting BI Strategy workshops is a good example of a BICC Dashboard.
I'm looking to gather some feedback.
I will dedicate a future blog to BICC metrics and sample dashboards.
I do have a sample BICC Scorecard, thanks to my colleague Timo Elliott! I'll include that in my upcoming blog as well.
Below are some of the key metrics and areas I typically advocate:
(Note that these do not cover actual report/dashboard/analytics development time)
    1. Delivered Return
Pipeline: # projects new/started/completed, Net ROI planned/achieved, projects delivered  on-time/past due
    Costs: Controllable and non-controllable costs
Usage: Usage by subject area and business unit
Quality: Delivered quality percent, # reloads, avg. response time, # subject load failures
    2. Operational Performance
Uptime: system availability, subject area availability, infrastructure availabiity
Load time: source availability, subject load time
Outage: # source system failures, planned/unplanned infrastructure outages, subject and busines unit outages
    Support: # support cases raised/pending/closed
Education: New courses offered, # courses taken, FTEs trained, Support FTEs trained, Usage following training
Are the other key metrics you track?
Any sample dashboards you can share?
You can post here or email to me - contacts are on the SCN profle.
If you forward dashboards via email, please Indicate if they are to be shared or not.
    Thanks!

  • IBooks: Any way to share books across multiple iPads? (Family library)

I'm currently using the Kindle app--which allows my family to share books with ONE account across multiple devices (like 2 iPads and 2 iPhones). Is there any way to do this with iBooks? It appears iBooks is locked to the userid set in iTunes. I love to set the userid within iBooks to make this a family library. Thanks!

You can have multiple iTunes accounts on one computer. BUT you can NOT download DRM protected (commercial) ibooks from different iTunes accounts directly to your computer OR your iphone/ipad by signing into different accounts at any time you like.
If you try, a message saying that you CAN switch accounts will come up, but also warning that you won't be able to download from any other iTunes account to that device or computer for 90 DAYS.
Copying a DRM-protected ibook file (.epub) directly from within your own Music itunes library folder on your computer and then moving the epub file to another computer via wifi, email, usb stick, etc. may work.
You can try dragging the transferred file onto the iTunes app icon to "open" it to add to the iTunes library.
But you will probably need to put the ibook .epub file into an identically named folder in the iTunes folder on the new computer, and then sync the iPhone or iPad with the iTunes app on the second computer using a USB cable connection. Nothing else worked for me.

  • Is there any way to share music between two iPhones ?

I want to share music between two iPhones with different apple IDs , isn't there any method to do that without itunes ?

In general, the catalog that is open when you do Export As Catalog is where the settings are, and the catalog that is open when you do Import From Catalog is where the settings aren't, yet, but will be after the Import.  Your assumptions appear to be correct for your particular example.
