hai every one,
We have installed scm 5.0 box, We have an issue in configuration of live cache, we have followed the SAP live cache post installation steps till config of LCA ,LDA and LEA.Then we click on the live cache monitoring for LCA,we got a window Error DBMCLI_COMMAND_EXECUTE_ERROR when starting and error code is 29464.

We have installed SCM 4.1 on Solaris on one box and LC 7.5 on another solaris box.
For kernel upgrade, we shut down Live Cache using LC10>administration on SCM server. After kernel patch, other patches for ABAP stack, we upgraded LC to SP11 build 35.
Since then, we get following error in LC10.

Hello Vaibhav,
while using transaction LC10, the error 11 "tp error: Terminating. [nlsui0.c ...]" occurs. The user authorization with tp fails and the application server cannot connect to the liveCache.
I assumed, that it's due to a library version mismatch, tp cannot use the liveCahe UNICODE libraries.
Please check, that the tp call at the command line works properly. And a dbmcli call in the transaction SM49 with the tp options
(dbmcli ::
-d <LC-SID> -n <LC-servername> -tpp <profile> -tpi <system-SID>
-tpc <connection - LCA/LDA> dbm_version)
works also properly.
I recommend you to update the liveCache client software on the Application server.
If you've got access to OSS/Service Market Place, then please take a look at note
649814 how to update the liveCache client software on the application server.

Before the liveCache client version will be upgraded on the application
server you can use the workaround by switching off the central authorization for the liveCache LCA/LDA connections:
In transaction LC10, choose Integration and deactivate the option Central authorization, then save.
If you are the official SAP customer, I recommend you to create the ticket to SAP on 'BC-DB-LVC' queue.

Live Cache Monitoring. DBM_CONNECT DBM Error

Hi Gurus,
I have Installed TM7.0 system which is on NW7.0 with EHP1 on windows server2003 and Oracle DB. i have also installed SCM optimizer.
after i installed Live Cache, in transaction LC10 i have maintained the data in integration tab. When i click the 'liveCache : monitoring' tab i get the following error.

Error               : DBM Error
Return Code         :         -2
Error Message       : ERR_USRFAIL: User authorization failed#
This implies that the connectivity to the MaxDB database is giving authoization error.
The user with which i have logged in(SAP logon) has the following roles -
SAP_LCA_ALL
SAP_BC_LVC_SUPERUSER

Hi,
please take a look at SAP note 990602, specifically point 11; use transaction DB59 to check the connection to your liveCache instance.
From the error message you receive, it seems likely that the integration data (user/password combination) for your liveCache instance is incorrect.

SAP SCM Console error

Hi SAP Friends,
Iam using a SAP SCM IDES version 5.0. while posting transactions in SCM system the system dose not responce after 2 hours of starting the management Console. When i had a look at the management console the first instance status was ended and the message server was disconnected. When i shut down and restart the system SCM works fine for another 2 hour. This was happning for the past 2 days. Today when we tryed to run the console the following error poped up when i clicked on the Process List.
Getprocesslist failed: FFFFFFF
End of file or no input: "Unknown error"
All the status shows as Ended and the message server gets disconnected.
In the Syslog the following warning message is shown:
SAP-Basis System: Stop Msg Server, PID 1304
Avaiting responce from the SAP Gurus out there.

Our Live cache log backup runs to tape, sometimes this may fail and our log area starts increasing, when we try to take a log backup uisng DBMGUI or DBMCLI we get below error.
ERR
-24988,ERR_SQL: SQL error
-104,DBM command impossible at this time
Can you please help how to resolve this ?, since it is something critical for us during our business close end,

Hmm... that is usually not the way it should work - I assume you're employing a third party backup tool here?
If not, than you definitively shouldn't create the log backup directly to tape.
Instead you should use the AUTOLOG backup to the filesystem and afterwards archive the backups to the tape.

Well, it means what it says: for some reason (e.g. there is already a backup running) you cannot start the backup right now.
For more detailed answers we need to see the log files of the database.

Hmm... what has your liveCache to do with your business (month?) end closing??
Anyhow, if something is important1, critical2 or urgent3 then the forum might not be the place to go.
In such cases always open a support message - there you've got guaranteed response times.

SCM Optimizer error

Hi
the SCM optimizer run is failing with the following error.

Hi Kheer,
As per i know, there is NO standard function module or program by this name '/SAPAPO/OPT_SVR_CALL' in SCM system.
But anyways, you can check in your SCM systems but not in Optimizer.
Go to transaction - se37 & se38 for checking for both function module and programs respectively.
note - you may just put /sapapo* and press f4 to see the list of the function modules or programes in your system.
I hope this will help you in concluding the issue.

Dbms error log

hi
i am trying to create error log, but the results are not correct.
i am inserting emp records in emp2, i have check constraints salary greater than 5000 in emp2 table
SQL> insert into emp2 (id, name, sal) select id, name, sal from emp log errors into error_log_emp2;
i have created error_log_emp2 table by using dbms_errlog.create_error_log procedure.
but, in error_log_emp2 table only three records inserted instead of six records listed which violate check constraint, and no records inserted in emp2 which will not violate check constraint.
Please help with your suggestions on using error logging.....

Use
log errors into error_log_emp2 reject limit unlimited;the default reject limit is 0, your code will error out when the first error occurs..
probably you are having 3 rows in error log table coz you ran the inser statements 3 times. Note taht, error logging (only the logging part) is autonomous and auto commiting.

If it is wrt to material, check whether MRP Type - whether some one changed from X0
If is wrt to Transaction data like SA, check the planning indicator

Xcode 2.2 SCM/SVN error

Howdies,
I hope this is the right place to ask this type of question:
I'm trying to get Xcode to talk to a local stand along subversion server. The odd thing is that it never asks me the user name and password but does give an error message:

And that's it.
I'm working from a project checked out from the command line.
How do I set the user name and password for Xcode to use? A property file perhaps?

DB : Oracle 10g
APP : IDES SCM 2007
Our Requirment is need to Install SCM 2007 with LiveCache, APO.
to Install SCM 2007.. We must need to have 2 DATABASES and 2 SID
1. One Oracle or SQL Database for SCM    (one SID)
2. 2nd for ONly MaxDB Database for LiveCache         (Another SID)
Can you please advice me.... here are the steps I done as of now.
oracle 10g Installation completed.
SCM IDES 2007 Installation Complted.
   (At the time SCM Installtion its prompt me for SID's for 2 times..
   I given Both SID Same (One for [SID-SCM]) and (Another for Live Cache[SID-SCM]) Then the Installation is successfully completed. but now when I run LC 10 is not working...

You need to install the liveCache server of the 7.7 version, as you are installing SCM 2007 with LiveCache, APO.
Please follow the liveCache server installation guide.

How many MAXDB/liveCache database instances are you planning to install on the liveCache server?

The liveCache SID for the SCM system need to be unique on the liveCache server, you have only one database instance MAXDB/liveCache with this name, also you checked the restrictions for the names at

You could run SCM IDES and Live Cache on the same machine.

Dbms service startup error on Ep6sp2patch2, j2ee patch 23

I am getting below error while starting the state controller of j2ee in cluster env.
[DBMS]: Error during reorganization/defrag recovery
com.inqmy.services.dbms.server.interfaces.DatabaseException: ID3020:Error during reorganization/defrag recovery
ID000544: Error starting service dbms. DBMS Service not started properly due to: Error, while opening database
[ServiceManager]: ID000544: Error starting service dbms. DBMS Service not started properly due to: Error, while opening database
[Framework -> criticalShutdown] Service dbms startup error!
Any hints would be really helpful.
Note: I am starting the service manually(go.bat of state Controller)and not as NT service.

Looks like a corrupt internal database
You could try (although there are no guarantees what so ever!)
Go to
c:\usr\sap\<PID>\j2ee\j2ee_01\cluster\<server which failed>\services\dbms\work
and do
1. Backup all files in here
2. Copy all the files from the last_backup folder(hopefully you will have this one under work) to the work folder overwriting the old files
3. Restart the portal
I've also heard of people copying between different app servers but would not recommend this
NOTE: If this is a production system, please contact SAP in order to make sure that you get the recommended workaround

On one our APO systems, I cannot administer liveCache, using database connection LCA, LDA, or LEA. Using LCA as an example, with
tcode LC10> liveCache Monitoring, I get this error:

After a Test refresh for SCM system, we restored Livecache. The database has been changed and starts using database manager, during registration (Register LCApps) it gives the following error:

Hi there,
looks like you entered "DBADMIN" when you created the liveCache instance in DBMGUI as the DBM Operator.
For SAP installations, this user is always named "CONTROL".
So, drop the instance again, recreate it with "CONTROL" and re-do the recovery of the liveCache backup.
