I´m installing a SM 3.7.0 on server SunFire x4200 (with AMD64 not SPARC procesor) with Solaris 10.

Hello,
Your understanding is right, this is because your platform is not supported.
When you install SM on Solaris, you need SPARC64 architecture.
Please review the following system requirements.
Cisco Service Control Management Suite Subscriber Manager User Guide, Release 3.7.x
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/docs/cable/serv_exch/serv_control/broadband_app/rel37x/smug/Installation_and_Upgrading.html
CPU
•SUN SPARC, 64-bit, minimum 500 MHz (for Solaris)
•Intel processor, 32-bit or 64-bit, minimum 1 GHz (for Linux Red Hat)
The TimesTen DB installer checks this and generate the following errors
if the platform is not supported as you saw.
You appear to be trying to install on an unsupported OS.

  • Install aborts on iWeb install - can't bypass/reboot into Mac OS

During a re-install of Mac OS 10.4 on new iMac4 (Intel), the install halts on DVD2, iWeb install (just 1minute left!!).
Now when I restart it keeps retrying the install and dies at same spot every time. Log shows "no such process" for iWeb install.
I've rebooted while holding "C" key - but can't figure out how to get it to abort the install.
I'm a Linux person - what rc file and/or disk file is causing it to boot into install mode? Can I disable this so I can boot into Mac OS? Since the install was almost complete, if I can boot into Mac OS I'm sure I can reinstall iWeb from the web.
Suggestions? Download a DVD image for disk 2 and burn a new DVD??

  • Lion install aborting before download complete

I've successfully installed Lion on one iMac and my MacBook Pro. However, when installing on my wife's iMac, I forgot to update to the latest version of Snow Leopard first. Now the Lion download aborts about a third of the way through the process, restarting the computer. The Lion icon on the Dock is still present and says the install is paused, but the system won't let me Resume. I've gone back to the Apple Store and restarted a fresh install several times, but the same thing happens. Any ideas?

I learned that the Recovery Disk Assistant will only work if you not only have Lion installed, but also during that install the invisible Recovery HD was created because the two work with each other. I had cloned my Lion volume (that Recovery HD will not be cloned because it is on its own automatically created partition), so I was missing that and the Assistant would not run until after I installed a frash copy of Lion on top.
So, I'm really out of ideas except for one: redownload Lion on one of your other machines (hold down Option while clicking on Purchases, that should change the button to 'install' and download it again). Once done with the download, dismiss the Installer and go to your Applications folder. Copy the Installer to a safe place (better to have to a couple of different places) - if you need to reinstall, you won't have to download it again. After copying it somewhere safe, simply drag 'n drop it (via an external if necessary) to the iMac without it. Place it in that Application folder and try to install it from there.

  • New install of UCCX (Install aborting)

    Hi,
I'm a CUCM 6.x user trying to install my comp copy of UCCX and 5 client licenses.  I've got a new MCX-7825-H4 that i'm using.  I've just installed Cisco's winOS for that model server and everything looks good from that end.  I'm using http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cust_contact/contact_center/crs/express_compatibility/matrix/crscomtx.pdf to verify that everything is acceptable for the install.  however when i try to run 7.0.1 SR05_Build504 i get the following error before it aborts.
"Computer hardware provided by Cisco Systems is required to install Cisco Unified CCX Patch.  Installation will now abort."  last i heard each download is a full install it's just based on the license file you enter afterwards.  so i don't think it's complaining about it being a "patch", but rather complaining that i don't have the correct hardware.
has anyone seen this before and have any suggestions?
    Thx!

  • Mounting parts during Install - Abort Installation ?

    Cant figure this one out.
Been using Linux for 6 years and have not used Arch during that time.
During the install, I partition my HHD using cfdisk using this strategy
    disk1 /boot ext3
    disk2 SWAP
    disk3 /tmp reiser
    disk4 LOGICAL
    disk5 /usr/src reiser
    disk6 / reiser
    disk7 /home reiser
When I'm all done partitioning and want to set mount points, it starts swap, then mounts /, then /tmp, then comes up and says Abort Installation? Yes No. I put No and it brings up the same question and Yes drops me to the command prompt. I cant re run setup and must reboot.
Any ideas why this is happening?
    Thanks!!!
    Joe

As a note, by default, Arch uses tmpfs and a RAM-based temporary filesystem.
As a second note, thought it may not work during the install, you can always put /tmp on a separate partition after the installer completes.

  • Palm Desktop 4.1.4 Install Aborts, Win Installer missing Palm Desktop.msi

I have been running Palm Desktop 4.1.4 on my Windows XP PC, and doing regular
Hot Sync to my Palm IIIxe handheld.  However, I had to have my PC recovered recently,
and the Palm Desktop did NOT look like it got recovered along with the rest of my programs.
I downloaded PalmDesktopWin414EN.exe to my PC, and tried to do a re-install via the
native MS Windows XP Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs interface.
The Install Shield Wizard starts up properly, and I see the Progress bar, but
then Windows Installer stops, and complains about a missing file:
"The installation source for this product is not available (Palm Desktop.msi).  Verify
that the source exists and that you can access it."
Sure enough, I do a Search, and I can find the Installer File Palm Desktop.msi
nowhere on my PC.  Any suggestions on how to overcome this Windows Installer
    block?
    MY ENVIRONMENT
I do have the following Palm CDs, just in case they are needed, but I would prefer getting
this to work strictly by using the Palm 4.1.4 executable:
    a. Palm Desktop 3.1  Aug 2000  CD
    b. Palm OS Upgrade CD with
        1. Palm OS 4.1 upgrade
        2. Palm Desktop SW v4.0.1
My Palm IIIxe is still powered on battery, and still contains all my Applications right now,
so my problem is strictly getting my PC to come up on Palm Desktop 4.1.4 again, if
possible.  Even if Palm Desktop comes up with null data, I could do a Hot Sync from
Palm Handheld back to the PC in order to refresh all the application data.
    Suggestions?

    Post relates to: Palm IIIxe

Trust me.  I am NO computer teck type in even the slightest sense of the word.  So the following suggestion may be completely lacking in helpfulness, BUT -- it may be necessary for you to "relive" the original process of earliest installation and by that I mean the first installation CD that came with the handheld. Verify that it WORKS with no issues.  THEN upgrade with the 4.1.4 install and you might find yourself cured.

  • Memory on the redundant CSS5-SCM-2GE=

    Hi all,
If a second SCM is installed in a CSS11506 Chassis,
what is the amount of memory on board.
I know the primary SCM has 288MB on Board. But some
information say that only 144MB are on the redundant
    SCM Module.
    Help needed urgent.
    Regards

you can buy a SCM with 288Mb and 144MB.
There is no specific SCM for the redundant slot.
So what you get is what you buy.

  • SCM Product Page on OTN

Why is there no way to download the latest version of SCM by itself? There is not even a mention that version 9.0.4 is available with iDS 10g. At least when I go to the SCM documentation page, I would like to see a link to the 9.0.4 SCM documentation that comes with iDS 10g. I cannot find that anywhere online. Specifically, the Oracle® Software Configuration Manager Repository Installation Guide for Oracle Developer Suite 10g (9.0.4) January 2004. It would be nice to see it on OTN so I could send my DBAs a link to it instead of digging through my local files. If I am missing it, please let me know. Otherwise, I hope my suggestions are helpful for the future.

Designer and hence the Repository (SCM) are part of Oracle Developer Suite 10g (9.0.4) The windows release for this has only recently been released as production. As both Designer and SCM are part of the Suite we do not provide individual downloads. As with the other tools, you need to download the full suite.
We are about to relese the first maintenance release of Designer and will place this on OTN for download. At that time we plan to place the SCM only install on the Repository(SCM) site on OTN. We plan to continue to do this when releasing Designer maintenance releases.

  • SCM Unicode Conversion - Initialize LC or not??

We have recently upgraded our non unicode SCM 5.0 systems to SCM7 EhP3 and we now want to convert these systems to Unicode.
We will be running most of the unicode conversions in situ, ie run all the unicode conversion steps and /SAPAPO/OM_LC_DOWNLOAD_UPLOAD (A&B) , export the database, drop the original non unicode system, reinstall a unicode SCM system and then import the database, followed by /SAPAPO/OM_LC_DOWNLOAD_UPLOAD  (C) etc..
On one of the servers however we have 2 SCM systems installed and will use the unicode conversion to move one of the SCM systems to a new server during the database export/import phase, so finally down to my questions!
    1) For the in situ Unicode conversions, I take it that we DO NOT have to initialize LC when reinstalling the Unicode SCM system and that we can use param_put DEFAULT_CODE Unicode  and alter user SAP<SID> DEFAULTCODE UNICODE before running Step C of /SAPAPO/OM_LC_DOWNLOAD_UPLOAD?
    2) For the Unicode conversion including the database export/import (homogenous system copy)  to the new server, do we have to initalize livecache as part of the SCM install?

  • Install Issue with 1st Cloud Program

I run Win 8.1 (64-bit) on a laptop with 12 GB ram. Boiling it all down, to solve this problem,I uninstalled ALL Adobe applications that ran fine prior to CC membership. Then, I installed the cloud dektop app, and attempted to install InDesign. The installation FAILED telling me to close Image Read (which isn't on my system). Any ideas?

Before stating my solution, let me clarify that the install aborted for both Photoshop CC as well as InDesign., and the error said I needed to close ImageReady, which I don't have on my system. Second, I had no Adobe Cloud products before.attempting to install InDesign as my first cloud application. After successfully installing Acrobat Pro without any issues, I devedcloser into the system.
In Task Manager, I temporarily disabled all processes showing Abobe products (associated with the version of Acrobatthat I installed, which started them upon rebooting).
In services I stopped a service called StorageCraft ImageReady. This program does not appear in my list of programs showing in Control Panel Add/Remove programs but may be needed for image backup programs (I have to research further).
I also temporarily shutdown Windows Frewall.
InDesign and Photoshop successfully installed, and InDesign automatically updated.
I reenabled the firewall, services and processes, and everything appears to be ok. We will see about how the programs update, but for now since Acrobat Pro, Photoshop andInDesign are all I need from the AdobeCloud lineup, I'm good.

  • Cannot install itunes-older version of Bonjour stuck

I am trying to install Itunes v8, and install aborts saying "Older version of Bonjour cannot be removed."
    How can I repair this?

I get the same problem. All I know is I'm trying to install the latest version of iTunes, but old Bonjour can't update, therefore iTunes can't.
    I get the messages:
The file 'Bonjour.msi' is not a valid installation package. (I simplified it)
So, I try installing iTunes, and it says it can't get rid of Bonjour. So I find it, and try to delete the culprit, mdnsNSP.dll, but I can't. I disabled the Bonjour service from the service list, but still cannot be uninstalled, even in safe mode, even as Administrator.
    Any solutions?

  • Xcelsius Engage 2008 - Error msg during install

Would someone please help!  I am trying to install Xcelsius Engage 2008 and recieve the following error msg's:
    1. Office XP application: Excel, Word, Outlook or PowerPoint must be pre-installed.  Higher versions work fine.  (Clicked "OK")
    2. Installation ended prematurely because of an error. (Clicked "OK")
My OS is XP Professional, and am running Office XP on my machine. Why is this occurring?

    javier,
I have tried this on 2 machines - one with Office 2003 and Office 2007. The install aborts on office 2003 (I uninstalled and reinstalled office 2003). I tried two different downloads of xcelsius 2008 (we have license for xcelsius 2008 enterprise) - one from this forum and other from service marketplace software downloads area for BOBJ. Same error.
Documentation says office 2003 and 2007 are supported. Frustrating -- the sap notes search does not even recognize excelsius key word (now that knowledge base is gone) - asks me if i misspelled..
    any other clues?

  • CS 6 Install Fails - Pirate Software

Paid my dues, got my serial number, donwloaded, start the install proces serial number validated through my Adobe accounr, get really excited then poof
Adobe thinks I have pirated software and I downloaded it from them - any ideas - support seems to be swamped
    MK

I never downloaded or installed the Beta and to get over my install issue I downloaded the trial and entered my serial number which worked
Here are the events in order they happened
Went to the Adobe Store and purchased Photoshop CS6 upgrade (upgrade from Photoshop CS5)
Order confirmed and received my license key
Hit download from the store page and downloaded the product
Download complete, during the install my license key was verified
About 99% into the install got the error message about not being a legit product and called support. On with them for about an hour
While on with support I downloaded and installed the trial version, that installed just fine
Compared the two download packages and the store version was smaller by about 200k than the trial version
The store version required the Akamai download manager whereas the trial version used the Adobe Download Manager (which worked) so that leads me to believe something was wrong with the Akamai download (either the package or the manager)
Hope this helps and feel free to get back to me if you need more info
    Cheers
    MK
    PS some more datapoints:
When I got the install error message I closed out of the "Pirate" dialog box and the install aborted. Checking the Adobe directory the install got as far as installing the Scripting components before it aborted
