SCN document: 'Insert Image' greyed out at a certain stage/size

I noticed a similar issue likeTammy has reported in discussion/thread .Cannot insert or upload an image
After having inserted text and several images to a draft document, the 'Insert Image' icon became greyed out at a certain stage/size.
I did some tests following document Solution for Error: Cannot Insert Images on SCN Content, but the the behavior remained the same. Only after having deleted the last inserted image in the document > Save Draft > Edit again the 'Insert Image' icon was not greyed out anymore which is argueing for a size restriction.
The same html coding as in the document put into a blog does not grey out the ‘Insert Image’ icon. But I found out that after clicking on the ‘Insert Image’ icon > ‘From your Computer’ tab ‘Browse’ is greyed out. Strange and argueing against a size limit is, when I choose ‘Uploaded Images’ I can select images and still insert them into the blog.
Does someone have similar experiences / can assist.

I suggest to split you document into two part as part 1 and part 2.

It's quite ridiculous to follow up with a rant on a post 3 years old. The text "insert image" has been gone for a couple of years now -- perhaps it was there in a previous version of the forum software.

Inserts are greyed out

All my inserts are greyed out and have a dotted line through them. The plugins have disappeared. I looked in the plugins folder, I am not sure where I am supposed to find them?

When I open my songs, I can see the inserts in the side menu but they are greyed with the line through them. Then when I try to select new inserts, the drop down menu says no plugin

If the folder doesn't show in your Library module, then you probably (accidentally) imported the photos using the MOVE option instead of the ADD option. You have to search for the desired photos by file name, and NOT by folder. Perform all of the following 4 steps, and you will find your photos
Go to the Catalog Panel on the left in the Library Module and click on All Photographs
Turn off all filters (Ctrl/Cmd-L once or twice)
Expand all Stacks (Photo->Stacking->Expand All Stacks)
Search by file name

Option to insert layer greyed out dreamweaver CSS4

I installed dreamweaver CSS4 and the option to insert a later is greyed out. I previously used dreamweaver MX 2004 to create my site. Is there a new way to insert layers? Thanks Andrea

Murray, I'm going to get cranky here.
When using AP Divs in concert with Flash and also in concert with Spry and other Javascript, you certainly do have to put them on the page in the right order or your Spry menus will not fall over your AP Divs in visually-appropriate layering. This makes them tricky.
The mantra that an AP Div is absolutely positioned relative to its containing element flies out the window in such situations. To be clear, one must re-think which containing element one is using...it doesn't not work...and the solution is to change one's thinking in terms of which containing element to use.
I have recently worked (and worked and worked) on getting such a page to function the same in all browsers. So you can't tell me that they all render the same, because they do not. Ultimately, they did, but mainly because I changed my code.
It is very possible that you have successfully internalized the order in which it is necessary to make things work from the very beginning (Good for you!) or you have heeded the generally trumpeted call to not use AP Divs. In constructing this particular page (a page with a large background image over which must be located numerous other bits, including a Spry Menu Bar), I worked from the top down as I usually do, and "top down" (top of the viewport from header to footer) is not always the same as "picture plane out" in stacking order.
Every browser except the Microsoft browsers must be reading my mind and my assigned z-order, and interpreting stacking as I do, as I work from the top down. Microsoft insists that APDivs that will later be expected to "lie down" under Spry Menus and so forth be coded and loaded BEFORE those Spry Menus show up.
So as I worked, I converted some of the AP Divs (conveniently positioned, but ultimately unworkable because of IE) to Relative Divs. It is not a system I use frequently, and it is not my usual system, and it is not the system I would necessarily recommend, but it is possible as a solution to an untenable situation.
Such is my experience, decidedly on a shorter calendar than yours, but there it is.

Why is the Compare Document Feature is greyed out?

I am trying to compare two very similar large documents. I want to use the compare document feature but it is greyed out. What would cause this to happen?

Here's what happened and worked for me. My solution, observations and recomendations. I have FCPX 10.0.9
After creating a 2 minute plus video feature , I discovered I could not export (share) the project. The share option was greyed out. Also greyed out was the File> 'Reimport from camera / Archive' option some have suggested as a solution. There were no errors or any indication why this was happening, which is a huge problem with this editing software and I will address that below.
My problem was isolated to exporting (sharing) one timeline (project) so, reinstalling the entire program was not a logical option. This is what I had to do...
I was faced with the prospect of chasing my tail for weeks on end hoping that I could find an answer buried deep within the FCPX manual or online but, what I did instead was, the grueling task of creating a new project and copying clip by clip from the non-share project and pasting each clip into the new project until I found which clip or clips were the problem. Each time I pasted into the new project I would look to see if the 'share' menu was greyed out.
By doing so, I did indeed isolate the bad (?) clip in the new project and what I did in the 'non-share' project was simply reimport that one video clip. Like magic the non-share project was able to export (share). Share menu no longer greyed out.
This taught me a valuable lesson. 1.) FCPX does NOT always give you the ability to isolate a clip it, for whatever reason, does not like. Meaning, you're up the creek without a paddle when export / share time comes. Huge, huge problem that needs to be addressed.
2.) My humble recommendation is to ALWAYS check your 'Share' menu as often as you can tolerate. Specially those of you producing long projects. It's a pain but, if there is just one clip FCPX doesn't like you will NOT be able to export project.

Images Greyed Out After Updating Muse

I updated my Muse to version 3.0, Build 645, CL 772478.
When I Export to HTML, all of my images in an image frame (on multiple pages) get 'greyed' out. If I hit the Refresh button, I briefly (for a split second) see the image appear, and then revert to grey.
If I go to edit ONE of the pages, select the image, shift the image one pixel right (with the arrows), and then back one pixel left, and then Export to HTML, it fixes ALL of the image frames (on ALL of the pages).
I'm pretty sure this is a bug in the latest release, because it NEVER did this in any previous version. Once I put the images in, they have always shown up after Export to HTML.
Now, they disappear (revert to grey) after Export to HTML, even if I DON'T edit the page on which the image appears.
Anyone else experience this?
Anyone from Adobe have a solution?

More Diagnostic:
The FIRST time I Export to HTML, and make any change to the site, ALL of the Image Frames get greyed out.
As soon as I then click on one image, move it one pixel left, and back one pixel to the right, and then Export to HTML (again), ALL of the Image Frames are back to normal.
If I try doing both things (make a text edit PLUS move an image left and then right) before Export to HTML the first time, the images are still greyed out.
It's only after making the change to one of the Image Frames, and Export To HTML a second time, that the images are fixed.
Hope this helps diagnose my problem.

Insert Field greyed out

Using CR as bundled with dotnet 2003. Trying to edit an existing report that has been fine for years.
Toolbox is empty except for text, line and box objects.
Right click in designer, select "insert", but "fields" is greyed out
Had problem with "invalid keycode" when trying to display anything for editing, but fixed that by re-registering.
Any clues anyone?

Next and Previous Document menu items greyed out

I have Reader 8.1 and the next document and previous document menu items under View > Go To are greyed out, even though I have several document open and they show up in the windows menu. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Are you definitely opening the correct version of After Effects, or are you perhaps opening the After Effects Render Engine instead?
The Render Engine is, as its name suggests, purely for rendering existing projects, and most other functions are greyed out.

NetInstall Image greyed out

I have the machine I want to image mounted in target mode. Both machines (new iMacs) running 10.6 (.1 on the machine to be imaged; not .1 on the machine doing the work). With the machine I wish to image selected, only NetBoot and NetRestore are available; NetInstall is greyed out. Any ideas?

Insert Printout Greyed out and Multipage

I am using ONeNote 2010. I am really familiar with this program.
I often insert PDF files w/o any problems.;
However, just starting today the PDF files I insert are not only greyed out, but are also displayed as multipage files; i.e. displaying two pages side by side (and smaller than original).
I have checked the original pdf files; they are fine.
A search of answers found that there were some problems in OneNote 2007 but I see nothing that will resolve this problem in Office 2010.

How did you insert the PDF files? Inserted as Attachment or as Printout?
What is grayed out? The content of the PDF or an icon in OneNote?
Please provide more information about this issue so that we can understand it more clearly. It would be better to provide a screenshot for this issue.
Meanwhile, please try to open OneNote with the /safeboot
command and delete current OneNote setting files to check if it helps. To do this, exit OneNote, press Windows key + R to open the Run command, type
onenote /safeboot and press Enter. In the Window opened, click
Delete Settings button.
Note: Your OneNote program preferences will be lost, but you can set them again the next time OneNote starts correctly.

Can you grey out/lock a certain part of a form you created after a check box has been selected?

In Acrobat Pro 9 can I set up the form that I created to allow customers to select a check box and after they have selected the check box, the form will grey out/lock all of the information that they don't need to fill out and keep the rest of the information that needs to be filled out open?

Illustrations greyed-out when printing PDF file from Adobe Reader

From within PageMaker 7 I've made a 52-page PDF document in Distiller (selected job option is for Print) and uploaded it to my website. It contains many greyscale illustrations (TIFs and JPGs first imported into PageMaker), and text. I am able to view the PDF file over the net, and can print the illustrations and text on each page with no problem. I am using an old HP laser printer (LaserJet 5L). Other users are able to view the same PDF document on the net, and they can see all the illustrations and text on every page. However, some users who have tested it are reporting that when they try to print out the pages on their own printers, most of the illustrations are greyed-out between pages 3 and 51. The text is printing correctly on their printers. The images on the front and back cover are printing, and so is an 11-page comic strip (made up entirely of 11 TIFs, with no additional text). Can anyone work out why all the other illustrations throughout the document are printing greyed-out on their printers?

I am replying to my own question.
After posting here, I received feedback from a viewer that the PDF file is downloading and printing out pages with no greying-out of the illustrations. It looks to me as though the problems are arising from other viewers' slow internet connections and/or hardware RAM for printing, especially if trying to print all pages at once, rather than Saving As to hard drive, then printing.

Application bar is greyed out under window menu

Although I can see an application bar on my document, it is "greyed out" under the window menu. Specifically when I click the icon to arrange documents ie - tile vertically/horizontally - everything is greyed out

All "timeline" menu options appear greyed out in my version of Dreamweaver 8. I've tried deleting the cache file and the configuration folder, but without success. There was originaslly some reference to a Javascript error message reference timeline(), since when I've ensured my Java was updated. Any ideas please?

For some reason, the Link > Framemaker document option was also greyed out when I created the project. I had been having trouble with the .xpj file not being created by RH11 and reinstalled TCS5/RH11. Then I created the project and was able to find and open the .xpj file. Like I said, I found then that the Link > Framemaker document option was greyed out and could only import the FM book.
I recreated another project and see that the Link > Framemaker document option is greyed out. I can only use Link > Word document, which is of no use to me. Any suggestions would be welcome!
