SCO 2012 r2 and SCSM 2012 r2 Connector

Dear all,
I am new to Orchestrator, we just installed Orchestrator in Lab , we have SCSM as well . We just want to automate the SCSM and SCO like if we create a ticket for user creation in SCSM , it should
trigger SCO and automatically User should create. Could you please let me know how to integrate or connecter between both.
Thanks,
Sengottuvel M

Hi,
how to create a Connector in Service Manager to trigger Orchestrator Runbook is described here:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh519779.aspx
With the System Center 2012 Integration Pack (IP) for System Center 2012 R2 Service Manager you can Integrate Sevice Manager Activities in you Orchestrator Workflow. You can get the IP from here:

  • Windows Server 2012 Essentials Connector version is more current than server

In trying to connect a new laptop to domain/server, it kept failing with a message indicating that other software was in the process of installing or that a reboot was pending.  Since neither was the case, I downloaded the current version of the Connector
software from the Microsoft website to try.  That didn't work either.  It turns out that a pre-installed software component called Intel Smart Connect Tech was keeping the laptop from connecting.  I uninstalled this software and installed the
connector software and it appeared to connect to the server.  However, it is displayed in the Essentials Dashboard as Offline.  The client (Laptop) displays a message saying "The Windows Server 2012 Essentials Connector version that is installed
on this computer is more recent that the sever.  Contact the administrator to ensure the server is up to date".  I tried uninstalling the Connector software from Control Panel, but I get a message "Could not delete key \software\microsoft\windows
server.  Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel".  I've tried both with domain admin and local admin credentials.  So, I ignored the message and continued the connector install.  It finished
and appeared to connect successfully.  The connector version displayed in Control Panel\Programs and Features is correct.  However, the registry entry is not updated and the version error pops up with each login and the Dashboard shows the client
    as offline.

    Hi C.R.Lowe,
Based on your description, I’m a little confused with this issue. Before going further, would you please let
me confirm something more? Thanks for your understanding.
When connect the client to Windows Server 2012 Essentials, did you mean that use
    http://<servername>/Connect
and then select Download software for Windows option? More descriptions, please refer to the following article.
To connect a client computer to the
    server
If I misunderstand, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
On current situation, please navigate to the registry path as the error message shows. And check
Version value and let me know. Meanwhile, please right click
Windows Server folder in Registry Editor and select “Permissions…”, then check if the account was assigned the correct permission to delete key.
In addition, please check if you have installed the
Update Rollup 1 for Windows Server 2012 Essentials
By the way, please check Event Viewer and some related logs if can find some more clues. If any update, please
feel free to let me know.
    Hope this helps.

  • MSI Big Bang-XPower, Corsair AX1200W and 6-pin motherboard connector

Hello, I apologize if this has been answered but I didn't seem to find it on the forums. I have the Corsair AX1200 power supply and the MSI Big Bang-XPower motherboard. The board has two ATX 8-pin connectors. I know that the second one is only needed if you are doing serious overcloking. But I assume it's ok to plug both in whether or not I'm overclocking?? I see the AX1200 has two EPS/ATX 8-4 pin connectors so I am fine there.
My real question is that the mother board also has an ATX 6-pin connector for the graphics card. Firstly, is this needed since the graphics card has it's own power connector (I have the EVGA SuperClocked 015-P3-1582-AR GeForce GTX 580). The card needs a PCI-E 6 pin and an 8 pin connector. I see the AX1200 has six 6+2 pin connectors so I believe I'm fine there.
But for the motherboard connector, can i use one of the PCE-E 6+2 pin connectors (just 6 pins obviously), or is this not good sine the connector is not labeled as an ATX connector?
    Thank you.

    Hi,
Bumping this as it is the question I have. How does the motherboard access this power from the EPS? It is constantly available to the cpu? Would it not be better to plug in the 2x8 pin EPS anyway as it gives a greater redundancy?
I am sorry if this is a stupid question but I recently got flamed on a forum for carrying on about connecting the EPS cables up to my Corsair Ax850. The flamers carried on and on about how I would never need to use the EPS unless it was LN2 cooling.
I cannot see the harm in it but I would like to understand computer power supplies a bit more and how exactly they work. For example why do some vid cards have 6 pin and other 8 pin when it looks as if both plugs just have a 12 volt lead on one row and the other row a ground lead?
    Anyhoo.
    Happy first post to me.

  • D10 - Voltage of 10 pin and 8 pin power connector

    Dear All
I got a D10 here, the power supply suddenly stops to work this afternoon, I have already called my brother in US to find me FRU parts. But this might take one week or longer, I borrow a big 850W PSU from my colleague, but it doesn't have 10 pin and 8 pin power connectors on it. I know the voltage used by computer internally are 3.3V, 5V and 12V. Just wondering, what voltage shall I supply to these 10 pin and 8 pin connectors?
I sent the demaged one for recycling,..
    Thanks in advance

If you're talking about the 2x4 and 2x5 connectors used to power video cards, those are +12V.

  • Macbook won't start or charge unless I disconnect and reconnect the battery connector each time .

I have a late 2011 model Macbook Pro, 10.7.5 OS and I've had no issues whatsoever up until a week ago. The night before if stopped working I did everything as usual, did some HW, emailing then I shut it down. I woke up the next morning and it wouldn't turn on so I figured it was dead, so I got my charger plugged it in and got no light, green or orange. What I got was a faint green blinking on the charger light and my battery level indicator wasn't working. I thought it was my charger but it wasn't because worked fine on my girlfriend's Macbook.
I googled and tried PRAM and SMC to no avail. When I tried the SMC I didn't take the battery out I just disconnected the connector (Don't know if it makes a difference) and Voila it worked and I thought I fixed the problem. I turned it off and the next day the same thing, I have to disconnect and reconnect the battery connector each time for it work. Other than this issue I have no problems, mac runs fine while it's on and I shut it down or restart it for awhile after I reconnected the battery but if I try to turn it back on or restart it hours after I've done that then it won't work . One thing I may add is after I reconnect and plug my charger in, the light is green for about 5 seconds (even though it's not fully charged) then turns orange .
I'm guessing I need a new battery or logic board , but I'll keep my fingers crossed .
I won't be able to set up an appointment until next week but I would like to see if I could get any help here in in the meanwhile.
    Thanks !

Hi, I dont know if this may be the cause as i too have the same problem. But it only occurs after i disconnect my Iphone from my macbook pro.
The Macbook has worked perfectly and then all of a sudden last week it started to shut down after i would disconnect my Iphone 5.
The mac wouldn't restart, charge or anything.
I tried all the trouble shooting reccommended, Shift Alt command button combinations. ( there were a fair few ) None worked.
Then i found out about disconnecting the connector.
    This fixed the problem.
But alas, It done it again after my next sync.
This has done it 4 times now. And only when i disconnect the iphone after using itunes on the mac. I done it all correctly 3 times and the 4th time i just pulled it out with out ejecting from itunes, but still done it.
The iphone Syncs perfectly. I get everything i want onto the iphone. But for some reason as soon as the cord is disconnected from the mac BOOM. Dead mac.
If i leave the cord and the phone plugged in but still eject the phone it doesnt shutdown tho.
I found if i shutdown the macbook, then disconnect the iphone cord once the mac is completely shut down then my mac will start back up again with no problems.
As i said i dont know if this is the cause of your problem and if it will help you or not? But if not, maybe it will help someone else out who finds your post?
Hope you get your problem sorted

  • FIM2010 R2 SP1 and SCSM 2012

    Hello folks!
Im setting up a lab environment. I have installed SCSM DW and console, did pritty much what Carol did in this blogpost:
    http://www.wapshere.com/missmiis/installing-reporting-for-fim-r2
At the stage where Im gonna add FIM Reporting I get a error saying I have to install the KB2561430. This i apparently a hotfix for SCSM 2010 SP1. So, Im not able to install this hotfix in my environment since im running SCSM 2012.. Any ideas ? Im stuck.
    Regards, Remi

When you install FIM Reporting on a new server that has Service Manager 2012 SP1
    installed, follow these steps:
Install the FIM 2010 R2 SP1 FIMService component. To do this,
    clear the Reporting check box.
Upgrade the FIMService installation to build 4.1.3451.0.
Run the change-mode installation for the FIMService, and then
    add Reporting.

  • SCSM 2012 Exchange connector 3.0 Status Never Run.

    HI ,
SCSM exchange connector was Running for almost 8 months . all of sudden it stopped pulling email from Exchange  Server.
I looked in to the issue and did not found any major error in the Event log “Operation Manager”
Only event were warning, “OpsMgr Config Service failed to send the dirty state notifications to the dirty OpsMgr Health Services.  This may be happening because the Root OpsMgr Health Service is not running.”  I  did not installed SCOM at
all. This server is not connected to any SCOM server.
I have reinstalled the Exchange web Service API (copied file to SCSM folder)
I have reinstalled  exchange connector 3.0  (copied files to SCSM folder and imported management packs)
Created new Exchange connector and all test passed.
But the connector status stays  “Never Run”
In my regedit ,I also made the following changes
KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\System Center Service Manager Exchange Connector
    EnableEWSTracing = 7
    LoggingLevel= 7
I have also looked and tried every option with  “Run as Account” and also making  admin Role.
I am not getting any error in the log apart from  following warning .
I did not found any major error in the Event log “Operation Manager
Only event were warning, “OpsMgr Config Service failed to send the dirty state notifications to the dirty OpsMgr Health Services.  This may be happening because the Root OpsMgr Health Service is not running.
Can someone help me , what should be the next step.

the reason you are seeing operations manager errors is because Service manager uses the operations manager SDK to do all of it's work. the error that you are seeing "OpsMgr Config Service failed to send the dirty state notifications to the dirty OpsMgr
Health Services.  This may be happening because the Root OpsMgr Health Service is not running." means that the service manager configuration service can't notify the data access service that there are changes to it's MP base, for whatever reason.
i would stop all the system center services on this server, go into the service manager folder, find the "Health state" and "Config State" folders, and move them somewhere else on the system, then restart both services. assuming your
system isn't otherwise damaged, this will force both the config and data access services to rebuild their cache from the database, and should unstick your workflows.

  • SCSM 2012 AD Connector Sync Failure

    Good afternoon,
We had an AD connector which synced everything in AD in one big go, which was an initial deployment mistake. This Connector functioned fine, but brought in lots of "rubbish" which we didnt want in our SCSM deployment. Due to the nature of our OU structure
we decided to go down the route of creating multiple connectors for multiple OUs within AD (we cant change AD structure) By going down this route we could take our user count down from 20,000+ to around 6,000. Much cleaner and quicker.
We disabled the original connector, which went fine, created all the new connectors and all synced fine (and quickly) with the exception of one. Sods law the IT Admins OU! The connector sticks and throws an error at 92% every time. Tried disabling \ enabling,
Manual Sync, Bouncing Management Servers. Even deleting and recreating the connector but it always sticks at the same point.
I have gone through the OU with a fine toothcomb and cannot spot anything out the ordinary with any of the accounts. I have removed disbaled accounts, contacts, groups, test accounts etc... so it is now just pure live IT Admins. I picked up on the error
from the MOM eventlog which seemed to point me in the "Manager" AD Attribute direction. So I proceeded to remove all Manager and Subordinate information from all 70 accounts. Still no joy.
Below is my MOM Eventlog Error Message does anyone have any ideas on where else I should be looking?

  • Scsm 2012 - exchange connector 3

    Hi,
I have been asked to check that we are on exchange connector 3, am i correct in saying that the bit I have highlighted below shows we are on exchange connector 3 already?
Plus i noticed the version number of 7.5.8501.0 is old and this maybe why we have no option to select/or unselect 'log items for user from CMDB only' when we set up an exchange connector. Does
anyone know how I can update this?

ok, you might want to make sure you are using
the RTM version, rather then the RC version which was also called 3.0.
the version number you reference is the expected minimum version of the Microsoft.Windows.Library (which explains why it has the somewhat odd version number). it's ok if it's below the current version, since this is just the minimum accepted version
    for that Reference Alias.

  • Server 2012 Essentials Connector Software fails to properly configure a Win8.1 Pro for domain connection

I'm having problems getting the connector setup software to properly install and configure a machine for connecting to a domain running on a Windows Server 2012 r2 Essentials machine. The machine is a Windows 8.1 Pro laptop. I've successfully setup two other
machines that connect to the domain.
The software runs and prompts for admin user name and password. It then asks about server backup and then completes the setup (successfully according to the setup). The whole process takes less than two minutes and never reboots the machine. The next time
I login into the machine, I'm prompted for my hotmail password (not Ctrl-Alt-Del and domain login). I can access the server and all of the files, but the launchpad and dashboard are not installed. I've searched the Internet for a solution and found nothing.
I downloaded the connector install files from the Microsoft Download Center, but that ran as an update in less than a minute and did nothing.
Anyone run into this? Anyone know of a solution? Help would be much appreciated!

Can you share the log files from the client?

  • Update Rollup 2 for SCO 2012 R2

I have just installed SC2012R2 Orchestrator and then upgraded Rollup 2 through Windows Update.  Do I need to run anything special after it on the database like it is required for VMM Update Rollup 2?
