SCOM 2012 R2 - Implementation Pre-requisites.

Hi All,
I would like to know if we need to keep in mind any pre-requisites when we implement SCOM 2012 R2. So my question is specific is , if I would install SCOM DB in a VLAN A and operations manager in VLAN B than are there any specific pre-requisites that
I need to keep in mind?
Rgs,

No. You need to verify firewall ports and communication between Vlans

  • EREC - E-recruitment implementation (pre-requisites)

    Hi,
I hav just started with a project related to E-Rec  EHP4 implementation.May i request E-Rec experts on community to share some pre-requisites for me to start with.
Scenario : E-Rec is being implemented as a separate system with integration to HR system. (data from HR to E-rec will flow through ALE)
    1. What all switches and extensions in need to activate in SFW5?
    2. What all things are required to be configured in IMG ?
    3. What all things I need to configure through Portal ? Which roles should i get on the portal?
    4. What all activities are to be done by following people in ERec Implementation
    > E-Rec Functional Consultant
    > Portal Consultants & Webdynpro
    > ABAP-HR Consultants (BAdI's,etc)
    > Basis (TREX and what else?)
I would appreciate any quick respone over the same.
    Thanks in anticipation.

  • SNOTE wants to implement pre-requisites that do not match our system

    Hello everyone,
I am trying to implement a few notes on our Sandbox system where SAP_APPL = 602.
Some of the notes I want to apply using SNOTE want to apply pre-requisites that I would expect to have no relevance as they are for earlier versions of SAP_APPL.
    For example:
Note 1506402 wants to apply 801388
    Note 1551976 wants to apply 814277, 914560, 930716
Is this a harmless bug in SNOTE or will it actually change something? I looked at the corrected object list in SNOTE for 801388 and there was an entry, even though the change in the correction was already in the code.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Stuart.

    Hi Sturt,
Same thinks happened to me also . It download the pre-requisite notes. But which notes are not applicable,  SNOTE will not change any code. From SNOTE there another functionality to undo the implementation. So if any think goes wrong, you have the alternative solution.
    Thanks

  • Highly Available SCOM 2012 R2 Implementation

Hello All.............................I have following questions with regards to highly available implementation of SCOM 2012 R2:
    1.  Does it rely on Cluster?
    2.  Is shared disk required?
    3.  Is it active/passive or active/active implementation?
    4.  is the failover to the other server automated or manual?
    5.  Any special requirement with respect to active directory?
    6.  Rights required to service account that is setting up the environment?
    7.  Any link to blog/article for step by step instructions would be appreciated.

  • Sharepoint 2013 - Error installing pre-requisite on Windows Server 2012 R2

I have been trying to get my Sharepoint 2013 installed on windows server 2012 R2. I was never able to get past the pre-requisite installer. It keeps failing at "Configuring Application Server Role, Web Server (IIS) Role" and was never able to get
    past that.
In the last 3 days i tried almost all of the suggestions posted in various forums but was never able to get it work. Any insight in to this error and resolution is greatly appreciated.
Tried all things explained here but didn't work
    KrisS

I voted for the SharePoint 2013 isn't supported yet link. I spent 4 hours resolving the issue. In my installation, there were many claims by the installer that the application server role is corrupt or unavailable. I dove deep into the installer files and
found 1 file that was not in the correct place. I am not going to mention it, because it is the reason the installer should fail.
Downloading and installing sharepoint 2013 sp1 was the answer. Why? Because Windows Server 2012 R2 was my operating system. Windows Server 2012 R2 was not a supported type of installation for SharePoint 2013 until SharePoint 2013 SP1 was released.
I hope this helps those whom have ben in dire need. Even though Paul was initially correct in his statement, the release of SharePoint 2013 sp1 opens doors.
@Microsoft, as a former PFE I think you could have done better.

  • What are the pre requisites for implementing ChaRM

    Hi
We are planning to implement ChaRM & CTS+ in our organization. We are using three system landscape and we have EP, PI, BI and ECC systems.
Can you please tell me what are the pre requisites for implementing ChaRM & CTS+ and what are the areas i need to look before starting the configuration
    Thanks & Regards
    Anand

    The listed pre-requisites for the implementation of ChaRM are;
    1.  Already completed the basic configuraiton of SAP Solution Manager
    2.  You have set-up your solution, landscape and installed base (iBase) for the systems to be integrated
    3.  you have setup business partners for the users (or at least 1)
    4.  satellite systems are at the minimum  support package level required (note 907768)
    5.  connections are available to the satelite systems
    6.  CTS+ if you wish to control non ABAP change requests through ChaRM

  • Pre-Requisite Check SQL Server 2012 SP2 TCP Port Enabled Error

When doing the pre-requisite check to install SCCM (CAS) using an instance of SQL Server 2012 SP2, you get the following error even though SQL Server TCP port has been enabled, set to static port 4022 on the IP addresses in use in SQL Server Configuration
Manager under Protocols for <SQLInstanceName>: configuration manager primary site and central administration site require sql server tcp enables and set to static port
To resolve this issue, make sure "4022" is also set in the IPAll node in SQL Server Configuration Manager under Protocols for <SQLInstanceName> then restart the SQL Service and re-run the pre-requisite check and you should be good to go.
To avoid SCCM SQL-related install failure, keep in mind that SCCM SQL Service Broker (SSB) (used to replicate data between database sites) is set to port 4022 by default. This is different from and cannot be same as the tcp static port set in SQL Server
Configuration Manager under Protocols for <SQLInstanceName>. For example SSB can use its default tcp port 4022 while a static tcp port of 4023 can be set in SQL Server Configuration Manager under Protocols for <SQLInstanceName> or vice-versa. The
SCCM SSB port number can be adjusted during SCCM installation on the Database Information page. My take it so change SSB port to 4023 and leave SQL default port at 4022 since SQL serves potentially many apps while SSB is used within/by SCCM.
If you are getting errors relating to SQL Server service running accounts, SQL Server Collation, and/or SQL Server sysadmin rights while attempting to install a primary site, unselect the SCCM installation option to install default settings at the beginning
    of the install process.
Also, ensure to install important updates and restart the server.

  • Pre Requisites for Implementing the CUE

    Hi,
I have an  IP Telephony set up with CME in 2 different branches. We need to implemet the AA in sites.
What are the pre requisites for hardware and license based  that need to check before implementing the CUE.
one site having cisco 2911 router with Version 15.2(2)T3 and with interface ISM module is present which would like to configure for the AA.
second site having 2901 with Version 15.0(1r)M16 and  with interface Embedded-Service-Engine0/0.
Attached is the Show tech support for each CME's .
    Thanks in advance
    Nithin Louis.

    Hello
if there is no module installed you can completely ignore Embedded-Services-Engine as it won't be doing anything. Embedded Service Engine
    Overview:-
Cisco Integrated Services Routers Generation 2 (Cisco ISRs G2) have dual  core CPUs on the motherboard. The first core runs Cisco IOS software as  Cisco Integrated Services Routers (ISRs) do; the second core, or the Embedded Service Engine, is capable of running Linux-based applications.
The following Cisco ISR G2 platforms support the Embedded Service Engine:
    •Cisco 2911
    •Cisco 2921
    •Cisco 2951
    •Cisco 3925
    •Cisco 3945
Note:- As above 2901 not support embedded service engine . May be you got it on the CLI , because you run the same S/W version.Reference
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/11184226/interface-embedded-service-engine00
*That is why i did not mention for Embededd service engine module supportedwith Cisco 2901, so kindly check. The above post Cisco document for compatibality. If you need to try , so try with minumum memory 1G as 2911
    Memory required for 2911,2921 is 1G , 2951 is 1.5 G , 39XX is 2.5 G.My advise to you to go through  ISM-SRE-300-K9 , and shut Embedded service engine .
    Thanks

    Hello Venkatesan,
There isnt a T-Shirt sizing available for a Solution Manager system per scenario usage. You will have to use the sizing tool available on the url : http://service.sap.com/solutionmanager --> Check the section Starting with EHP1 and under the planning section you would find the sizing tool.
Once this tool is downloaded you can then add the scenarios that you would like to use and plan your system accordingly.

  • Pre-Requisites for Implementing E Recruiting on ECC6.0

    Hi All,
Can anyone please tell me what are the pre-requisites that are to be met to implement E-Recruitment on ECC6.0 (No EHP).
And where can i find out the differences of Erecruitment on ECC6.0 and EHP6 (Functionalities that will be missed if we go without EHP6).
Also is EP necessary to implement E recruitment. We even do not have ESS / MSS
Our System is a Plane ECC (No EHP).
    Regards
    Syed

    Hello Ameen,
Well ECC6.0 is R/3 Server and EHP6 is Portal server .
E-recruitment works good with portal. It provides so may functionalities there .
If u don't have EHP or don't want to use it .
In that case u can Create Customized module pool  Application , but obviously u will not get feel and look and some other functionalities available over portal .
You can create Role Matrix table, where u can save roles of Recruiter, manager and id password etc etc .
Plus SAP has also provided traditional Recruitment in R/3 system, you can also use that . You can find that in SPRO .
From EHP4 Sap moved on to Webdynpro abap  which was BSP till EHP3 , SO you can also use Webdynpro applications directly without portal . But there you need to customize more  . OR you can have Customised Webdynpro application for Recruitment also .
    Regards,
    Pran

  • Pre-requisites for SCCM 2012 R2

    Hi Experts,
I want to know is it mandatory to install and configure WDS, WSUS and MDT before deploying SCCM 2012 R2
     Are the Above roles prerequisites....????
What would be the possible pre-requisites for SCCM 2012 R2..???

For the pre-requisites, you can refer to the article that Torsten already shared.
As Torsten already mentioned, the installation of WDS, WSUS and MDT is optional. However, if you are planning to do OS Deployment (OSD) then consider installing WDS and MDT (Of course, you can install MDT if you would like to take advantage of its use).
As for WSUS, you can consider installing it if you would like to ensure a central management of Software Updates. So, depending on your requirements, you can decide what to do.
